[Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] there's no like 40 DS already no oh these are too long no I only do this with [ __ ] that I got really care about like I've done this with you Vince Gianni has done it like his friends like I'm not sitting down talking to a bunch of young people [ __ ] about people like that that's not a pity that's the truth that's good it's good it's good so this is the seventh episode of the pull up I am your host Joe button and I'm here with none other than the legendary we are yeah how are you sir first of all great absolutely thank you thank you for coming here absolutely this take a long time to set up it was daytime when we got a little bit of it I was stalling for but then I was installed I get it I get it then I was ready to go in yeah here we go here we go but I'm a little so I got to start this interview with a little bit of bad news for our viewership I know a lot of you guys are used to paying fans out there as a mine unfortunately today before this interview started I have a revelation share I saw cheap a do I have cancer [Laughter] I saw what see pain he's playing Instagram question game why not I'm dying to answer some question if that what a bunch of [ __ ] strangers yes I do yes I do the strippers are doing it they don't want no no balls you don't want to add answers to them because you don't want it don't stop and stop asking the strippers the question onaji sometimes they can see who you are you gotta stop these [ __ ] be relying on that whole Richard they know it's you alright so cheap fake did you figure out how to play the question game did you do we use no no I'm not gonna get it's not great it's not great I don't want to let people know I pulled this together last minute just because I'm such a huge opinion fan oh and I heard a great man find that t-pain was in LA and I was in LA it seems to attempt to get this bonus all right thank you we're both actually here this isn't a green-screen a very very busy I hear you people saying you've got a long day tomorrow yeah what's so long about your [ __ ] date I'm doing three TV shows at the same time I got two shows on fuse and stung these that was crazy two shows on views and one on the Red Bull Network so yeah I know they do it I actually just came from the Red Bull shoot and yeah nah man we uh I'm doing a lot of [ __ ] so you know my day starts at like 7:00 in the morning and you know goes till late night [ __ ] pretty much sorry Gilberto's TV show did you know it's not my priority it's not my main thing my managers was like you know just go do that real quick I'll do a season in that [ __ ] and as soon as I get done with this I mean you know I'm done with it on you know a couple more days and then I go back and I'm taking two months off and start working on the next album so you know I feel like the last time I saw you you told me that the next album was close to finished it was Oh [ __ ] albums but I got this I got this idea of what I think might happen should be like every three months of it must change with the seasons okay the bills are cold I am like physically not you know in the game right and if I gotta wear a jacket like I feel like what happens just sound different [ __ ] like that but I'm always changing my arms man I mean I got so many albums worth of [ __ ] I have 300 songs right now that I get released seriously those industry lives no no no no it's been songs that people have been telling me to stop playing because every time I go in the studio I don't end up doing anything I just end up listening to all 300 million songs I'm like here's a bunch of saying I could've did and all that [ __ ] but I'm doing I'm doing a campaign now well it's not me it's crazy pain he owns a furniture store he's doing a everything must go sale because I'm very daddy whoo you definitely crazy Eddie that uh somebody in in this campaign is familiar with crazy well the reason because I'm getting rid of all these songs for free like crazy and if someone you steal identity I worry Eddie was the electronics store and he [ __ ] had to get rid of everything you don't remember is Maho I would have know this person this is not one [ __ ] person that does this this seems like a pretty yeah well you what the real characters are good oh yeah no he was a fictional so yeah I know it's crazy getting rid of the whole thing and getting rid of a free so I must be crazy the kind of [ __ ] but everything was going I'm just gonna do at least once a week I'm just gonna drop a new song and just you know I saw you I think just out of a day preview a song and when I say previews in the studio I'd you live yeah and did you see it one not you see the one I've reviewed that you were on that was that same night but no I was all I was all about it why did that why do you preview this long because I'm going to release it are you talking about t-pain Joe Budden joy badass on a song I think I'm not gonna release this up then I'll get song in my possession do you think I'm not gonna release this are releasing a song I didn't call you though yeah so far I just learned your text was great change this phone context was green of [ __ ] when I we're not actually definitely I'm texting your upper row embarrass me you Android game was crazy with a lot going on on your phone man releasing a sonic in every cell phone cleared I'm retired you're gonna have a blast seems like I still need about it because we recorded it so long ago that it's like all right maybe I need to touch it up a little that was supposed to be on my album in October now am i released in October but then the label was like we're gonna have to get that clear and I'm like no Joe is independent and they were like now we just don't I don't think my label xu man or my own label which is why I met with them well who's your own lay before the people I say who's the new legal cinematic cinematic music giving RCA didn't like me yeah no you wait now you how'd you I was never not on Atlantic I've never been on the way you say that that I've digged up so many artists on RCA somehow I think the RCA is like I mean obviously I want the body that have that that a label that has their pulse on kind of what's happening in our MV I would say our I would say party yes not not away what are you - are you mad Atlantic is that what you just said yeah and I love hey Julie prey tiger I love yours Craig what about you Craig give me a second let us talk - let us let us talk to my care for a second you can't you can't ask questions like that you can can't answer because wait so you telling me that RCA has their finger on the pulse more than Atlantic I'm looking for you to have an objective conversation here okay yes that is better what I would say I can't I can't agree with that first because RCA slipped on me that's one thing that's tough first-first evidence they don't have their finger on the ball how long were you up how long were you on are see yeah uh three years and it wasn't my choice and it wasn't even my job what do an interview man get get them just stop putting it right here with RCA right all right to talk about it RCA and I guess don't even you but you can't you can't even go to an RCA thing without saying they slept on me it's left on let go that's the first the first mistake before you even get to anybody that they just sired or anybody that they doing a good campaign oh they slept on a goat I can I can let me argue that Oh God I mean let me play devil's advocate come on you said you were there for three years so what three years will you sign there that's important the last three years my last album that I just dropped in October wasn't my last obligation to that so 2015 to 2018 Oh father more than like no no give it to me cuz I'm perfect you know I've been keeping my when did job burgers disappeared a long time ago that's when I got on RCA because they didn't tell anybody everybody that was all job moved to RCA without any warning so RCA accumulated for record labels worth of artists but they still have one record label worth of team yeah so he knows it so when they acquired all these artists they didn't think to get more team they just like they fired all the job people they firing everybody I was and job didn't know anybody noted it was shutting down Barry wise that was the president of job he just started a new label called records records I don't know terrible name Barry you gotta come on man is it records entertainment with its record some I don't know Nelly is on it Nelly dammit man the coolant damn it man I just got it what is Nelly Nelly is on it yeah who else I think t-wayne wait oboe fear know that the one that wait wait he might not be he might not be let me not put that man on the label yeah one person named t-wayne yeah I think his name is - I think it's not thank you guys is it me look of his name what is it though what is this actual this has nothing to do with the you and Wayne no no but went then god damn it we just gonna be flipping we gonna be flipping some things as all that and when I tweeted out that me and Wayne was about to put out a joint and we called a t-wayne I was like should we do it and he laughed it yeah by his hosts wave no [ __ ] we was t-wayne I don't care in 2006 [ __ ] yeah now we not though because he didn't come on the scene to like mm lag it's like you know you know what Todd musculus from 300 hey Todd salute I'm tired some of y'all fans listen have no idea these names we sang but these are people that have like these are important people Barry Todd absolutely Barry Weis is [ __ ] essentially my whole career he let me make all my decisions anytime I actually had a hit Barry Weiss was the man that actually let me pick it anything have to very wise just flop a triumph great down listen who's responsible for picking those tears but mainly to death is it you me yeah I picked out what you pick [ __ ] don't lie to me I pick by your drink tinder I pick bartender pixpro yes I did I think I big right let me tell you how let me tell you how I pick from I got signed to kind of big music icons label as a writer I wasn't signed as an artist okay but I wrote I'm strong for a guy yeah I heard the story before and then I gave it to a car and that's what Akon had sole survivor with Jeezy so all he was doing was gay and when I gave him I'm sprung he told me we don't make songs with chicks we don't make songs for girls that's some soft [ __ ] we don't do that and I was like well since I'm pretty cool to me so I would see what's out has to think about it I gave it some my home girl Felicia Foxx inside Iasi she played it on the radio and then the [ __ ] blew up and then they signed me as an artist on kind of a he was an artist right after that [ __ ] blew up crazy - she was gone crazy uh you know what was your second single second single was right no no no second single it was from over here such thing was trashed what Walton yeah no it was it wasn't it wasn't anything it was bad it was on hold the only thing I got famous after that was on a whole nother album that was that was my thing who decided to put you with Flo Rida my care lowriders on Atlantic at that time yeah fluoride was on Atlantic and plazas on the Atlantic I did the hook too low and shouting in the same night Wow it was just me and my character to do my camera's like here's a bunch of beats new hooks to all these and we'll see who we give them good luck sued and I did hooks all of them Loeb was one and thought it was warning we gave well low went out to a bunch of [ __ ] people where we had it oh no we're sorry we're sorry yeah no sir buddy Paul wall and loafers and a more Paul Wall but he did it and it was a dope it was a dope version of it but Atlanta didn't like it and then they gave it to Nellie because he had the apple bottom franchise make sense okay Nellie said it was corny did he do it though no he didn't do it cuz he said it was gone this song that seemed like it would be right on nellyville' ago yeah just one diamond this salt Danny never said it was corny and I look I see but I mean in hindsight and I'm not gonna stay on that mr. long and I'd say I can see it was corny no but it was on the corner because he had the apple bottom jeans and here you come no use a little generic Ussery she had an apple but yeah but with the work this is a black like this is the most in there immunity and a week it's happen to that Oh [ __ ] do you want the money and not true [Laughter] yo but alright so you so you say that RCA right huh I'm gonna try to I'm gonna try to defend them a little bit here hmm they inherit all the drives ax they don't have the staffing hmm do what they have to do cool so one records these worked when you first got there I want to see did you actually have success with them or was it all job no no no I didn't have any because they're the main thing that had happened at RCA up until that point is Peter edge moved up to president and Peter edges claim to fame basically at that time was picking all of pitbulls pop records okay he's the one who made people go pop pitbull was a you know pit bulls were hip-hop if it rapper you think we don't remember yeah where the [ __ ] tuxedos he was rapping [ __ ] people had a car oh yeah the culo saw my whole different dog it was a whole different [ __ ] to talk that's it was wonderful that [ __ ] was a today SBC a [ __ ] just just danger to the community pitbull but people I had to sit going on man and be Durant had made him go pop and he was doing a [ __ ] so due to air attack came up with the the sentiment that urban music doesn't make money he wasn't alone in that and that makes sense and that makes it when he explained it to me I understood it and he was just like you need to do pop music so I started doing pop means again I did like turn all the lights on with neo and it got a look it got a little it got a little traction but it wasn't a t-pain song it was like you can tell that it was forced everything I did with them you can tell it it was forced so at the end of the day it was like urban music don't make out money but that's what makes me all my money because I get tours it's not getting you know I'm saying I get placements I get different hooks on different peoples long but I had that conversation about you years ago alright I'll tell you a quick story I was arguing with a label at the time the argument labels I know I know you would never think that about me all right next level because they don't go what impact what they just going off just a little thing about anyway I was talking his label one time about you and they were trying to tell me and let's say this is 2014 issue there that RIT pain is old and washed I guess the same way I'm old and I said let's discuss this some more why and they said what's his last hit and I said I think that you are one of the very few acts and I've had this conversation about you with many of people then I've never asked where she thinks it because right I don't give a [ __ ] where t-pain citiz t-pain you could go in any strip club any day any year and the t-pain set is the set right must be paid before you'll be quickly wrong you don't you you have somehow gotten like away from that so I don't understand what a crazy thing with RCA the way they did it is they tried to make it to where they made sure I was wrong and when I was picking they must do that yeah we do that a lot when I was picking when I was picking my singles with RCA they was making sure that work when I pick it they made sure it didn't work when they picked it the whole budget was gone and I went out and the next thing when I tried to pick something else I was like yeah okay so all we got to do is you know go let's spin this much already and there's like you know and I'm like what where the [ __ ] my radio bunch of gun is like the last song that they picked they spent all the radio of it and they're like [ __ ] we even put on the album here there's like yeah but it's gone it's over everything all your Buzzard is gone and they spent it all on that last song so I knew they got stuff this [ __ ] they follow you gotta keep you got to stop orders that oh yeah I guess somebody else I've assigned myself very bother like four years levels of labels maybe know what to do to they knew exactly what to do because they were doing the same thing with Chris Brown they're doing exactly what needed to happen with me with this but he was more successful no no no no no no you did yeah example you market Chris Brown understand when you market to Fame they never did it running it was like we was the same [ __ ] had the same the same that what time look at that when we was the same thing at the same time if they bit what it broke it wasn't that big boy I'm pretty boy when [ __ ] are still until this day asking me on my Twitter the where's in that boy pretty boy album like it's still happening right now I've been I can hoping my Twitter right now oh my phone and show you where some understand we need another boyfriend what I think that means that they're looking forward to a project we wanted I was living on the same things but yeah but you felt like art but what I'm getting from what you saying is the same way that they kind of handle them you're the same level of star right that's what I'm saying yeah I'm not the same [ __ ] give me black skin yeah no absolutely that's it cover it let simmer it down or anybody in this category so it's like you know if you got two goats on your [ __ ] that's running the game forever how does one fall to the wayside but is it the same the same staff just there now is that the same staff then no well okay but how does the how does the treatment continue you know saying because up well let's keep this in mind also prisons are making way the [ __ ] more men to me way the [ __ ] more so when his treatment at the label frontiers where I think he's where I'm doing this in my mind yeah tell me when the treatment fell off from the label with Chris he's not manage it yourself okay because he was able to do that cuz he was able to do that because there's making way the [ __ ] more money to me and I didn't do that because I don't want to do that cuz good money I was getting money it's all greedy but keep in mind I was greedy as [ __ ] I had tons of more cars we're not by the time I had 30 cars Chris Neil couldn't drive you don't say because me me Chris met him - when Chris was 15 kiss-kiss yeah no no no that was Christmas Chris was just turning 17 when we did kiss kiss but he still couldn't get cars like he was still a learner's permit when that one was doing kids kids so I had already had on high 30 cards by the time Chris could even get it all good you know since I had already pretty much been you was a car theme being Italian ass you mean the [ __ ] uber driver that brought me over here we just had a passionate conversation about [ __ ] cars on the way over here so it was just like you know this because he picked me up before anything like I love digging you up you know all about cars you know everything about the other leg is heads up passing them up but I had already had on like a hard [ __ ] and now you see Chris knock Chris got [ __ ] 37 cars you know obscenities and he's in the A's record to where I was and he says what you know but it's Chris Brown like he's forever gonna [ __ ] make money like he's always gonna and he's never gonna be as bitter as I was because he got into it this is bitter this is bitter not as much as I was okay that's different now you talk a bit bitter keen you talking about a dark see anything I got sad when I was [ __ ] 20 this is Matt Goss on our news [ __ ] 14 yeah so he saw all the bad [ __ ] and even created the patterns already so he already knows what's gonna happen when he does certain things easier created divergency he's created different plant he's already had his Plan B's I didn't have my plan B's and I got a decision understand I'm one speaking speaking of Chris I guess the staff at the pool and - I can't understand why either one of your [ __ ] never really focus actually notice more so you than him why no my why you [ __ ] never tried to find like the R&B protege how would we do that when we was the best we didn't feel like anybody was better than us that was that wrong me and Chris had the biggest [ __ ] egos of all time anytime we was on tour together and I wanted that [ __ ] room he was like listen to these song as I had nobody's better than these songs we can't find we will never go look for anybody on that's your are two of the best because and and and also because I might have found us so we like my point but we was like hey it forward [ __ ] tonight what about paying it forward back working with it was it was a factor it was about to somebody found does that mean that we was the best that it was and ain't nobody gonna do what we do it so it wasn't it wasn't a project of let's see who we can get unless he's gonna find a first [ __ ] it was like somebody quit looking for us and they found the bed I guess I made more so today currently especially with dog Chris has tons of [ __ ] Chris has tons of [ __ ] I have tons of [ __ ] but what the problem is is we got so big that the [ __ ] that we find feel like they just pick up where we at right there so if we're honest finding other side [ __ ] and legit these [ __ ] feel like if I don't have them performing in the same arenas that I'm doing then I'm not doing my job and I'm like that ain't no you you performing another name I'm going to the arena and they like oh are you exempt you a terrible label owner then I'm like no you're you're gonna different level for me I can't just boot you then I probably know why we not opening up for you because that's not my show if I was throwing a show in a [ __ ] arena then absolutely I get to picked over the next but no you you're in the club just be better than everybody else and then you'll move to the next joint but if you think you supposed to start off in the arena right before me you trippin you're right you trippin so I mean that you know everybody we've grabbed like it's either that or it's somebody that comes to them with more money like a real label would come to my artist and say you know TV ain't game fun what you trying to do so we'll do that for you and then they get blinded by that me like this label said they can give me a bunch of money I'm like go do that let's see what happens most the time it's nothing it's a tough situation and it's just be what I came from not having that writ you know there's over you not gonna turn down a breath oh it's interesting to me I mean I've had this talk with you before about how I about your police amongst the current sound of music oh I feel like everybody owes you a check I almost feel like oh my god is that is that your humility speaking no no no I've literally have time I've had time to sit back and see the tears I'm actually pricing to it all you a check no party don't know you a check no I have a longest amigas do you a check maybe I don't think I've had time to sit back and look at the tears of the cake oh so it when I when I dropped my [ __ ] when I started doing my [ __ ] on autos it was getting popular and [ __ ] like that it wasn't as cool as people wanted it to be it was a new thing and it was it was it was dope but then when they saw me doing it you know when people found out who I was because when I figured out when I came out people was like oh I thought she was Latino and I was like but no people before they knew who I was before before they knew it before they saw my face and before they put a face with the song when I was wrong came out everybody was like hot sometimes Latino didn't say that and then I got up you know I started getting up and up and then I met John Mayer and he was like yo man you know I was like yeah he was like man he was like you got something special right now like what you mean is like the most special thing I wish I would have kept is not letting people know what I look like and people wouldn't know what I look like that too early in my career yeah John Mayer said if he didn't let me even know what he looked like he'd still be having hits right now and I and I believe that so I didn't know that what's the reason that he don't have dudes right now out somewhere without I think he I think he wants to do what are you doing but you think they have good tired of people yes absolutely but is dead on the [ __ ] it's not but it's not say it's not no it's not on us it's not on us because we keep doing to say anything we do we always do what we know it's working we always know we you know we know we know but it's a that was last year kind of thing yeah they still like it they still love it they still love everything we doing anytime you anytime you go somewhere in [ __ ] three sound is over any time you drop a verse somewhere is this you over nobody nobody can [ __ ] with your blend on a vertical bar from bar nobody can [ __ ] with you and [ __ ] love that [ __ ] but they don't it's legit like if you still like that you're not cool for some reason and nobody wants to be on cool yes tree mystery they listen to about yourself you get the speed you get this means all day in the bedroom but the club no sir we're not doing that we're not doing that because I'm a DJ and I keep up with what's happening in the news so it so what you saying that do you feel like like when you did a why do you feel like do you do joints like boot up and vein then if you drew it no because I know I because I know what there was was gonna be I know y'all like it I know y'all love this would well you did the boot up Jordan yeah you knew whatever yeah absolutely even in the midst of when I wasn't when not cry when I did it when I did it in the studio I'll call my manager and I literally said yo I just slapped my dick down on the forehead of this long [Laughter] straight up sail straight out of college I'll call him and as I said bro I just slapped my dick dead on the forehead of this song people are gonna [ __ ] love this song and I'm sitting there like when you want to put it out I said [ __ ] tomorrow let me tell you something I woke up at 6:00 a.m. for them to whole thing send them to me this t-pain greatness with the caption fresh out this way was on it ho ho baby ho baby was like I heard you just did booed up I was like yeah I want to put it out but I don't have a literally typing homemade and I was like I want to put it out but I don't have a whoo to me and then you make a better booty because I make a ton of song about asses everything I'll talk about is an engineer yeah she like asses to my wife like booties you know all my favorite tea face so it's rubbish this club and I will we go together and I want that Steffensen strip club my wife here with me really absolutely state up bigger guys great principals can you tell me why would you want that trouble just go with it so where do you have a better time and go myself and get enjoyed from that for if it's awesome show face [ __ ] and I'm trying to promote something absolutely going after all that money as you get the [ __ ] out of there you face time and when you get back to the hotel baby ain't nobody in here okay good stuff but no I mean I mean there's no reason to go through what you could go through by yourself just wait just wait is you have a better time wait some time to get a girl's cool enough to go dude and I'm down with that but then sometimes I get a girl's gonna come with you and like me to monitor thing like you've never really into it you never be hoping I had fun like you just didn't you're stressing with that I was mad on the boot up [ __ ] that you put her Birds back I have to and that's my girl I have to I have to have to do it whatever but I mean like that's even when I did when I be a [ __ ] or future song like everybody's like why didn't you just kill you don't like I don't see I'm not here to kill anybody I'm putting my take on the [ __ ] but you still gonna enjoy the part that you think you'd enjoy the version that you already know it like I think some of us feel like we should diss somebody baby I feel like I said to but it's like why have you ever did some money in your career no right no the state [ __ ] no it's not safe it's not safe it's the fact that I don't give a [ __ ] enough about anybody else what they doing to even care about anything like I think it gets right I would like to hear you work with some of these names absolutely I'm trying to do I'm legit and um this is appropriate legit trying to work a future right now so it's like we in work like the crazy thing is me and future got the same [ __ ] liaison and the same [ __ ] management and I'm trying to bridge that gap and just do it like anything to be trying to do it is it like that seem like such obvious fit you would think so and then my man is that my manager comes from the session with future and I'm like talk to you today is like yeah I'm like all right cool sleep my gal gonna do the joint family one tell me what use is ready I'm I'm in the studio but if you did it if you collab with future oh no I don't know how do you feel about me so I'm not gonna I'm not gonna it's true it's true future loves pain I believe that tell you I believe that time I mean I would like to hear what type of song yo I met Peter before I don't think the songs me I don't think something it you're legally good know how many BPM lluvia how that is fact that we wouldn't agree on that we would agree on it because Massa would be faster than what he's trying to do cuz he'll be leaned up a be O'Malley it is read mustn't I'll be one to go a thousand miles an hour he'll be one a slow [ __ ] down week y'all should go slow but we couldn't good OB cuz you're gonna be an if [ __ ] [ __ ] up with all this fast [ __ ] absolutely no we're not in fast mode no more see you know if you live out your songs I'm telling listen no listen you know what's funny about your fan song let me tell you it's my mother passed on and it's a wait what's fast Bob dinner no no that's fast that is fast but I'm not talking it up now it's fast that's mustard fast it's it fast is that it's fast and it's wait a timeout because it's another song of yours I'm down the same simple budget it's fast but it's another song that came out it's not up down and this is my [ __ ] this is even faster than that it's not a [ __ ] though god this is my [ __ ] but if it was a city I have a fire didn't work it didn't work but I had this very funny it was around the same time it's up and down make this a work that was all the money cuz RCA thought mustard God no first of all booty work you to work that's what my favorite t-paint songs all the time I don't know why I won't happen I don't know what happened here because I was in Sin City every night I was working because I favor movie work with a joint you would think so no it was it join them let me find a song yo you feel about [ __ ] here like I feel about Def Jam that's funny but the good thing about Def Jam for me is they still trash after all these years like it was trash back then and they still trash like it's hard to be trash you have 20 years of being true yeah that's a long time what do you know wait which one I was here at that damn juice you can't talk that's it you can't who's like J was on a song I'm talking about it's not doesn't work that way now I got it titled let's make this [ __ ] work how did that go good day how many thought my money to get rid of it as it were didn't know a [ __ ] you think you don't even know them I only got two new features Oh [ __ ] [ __ ] mambas going up yes yes how did Bette what was y'all doing yes that's much faster than bartender and up and down slower slower how are you counting this time what is the time conception [ __ ] link-up but anyway I love that song too I think those songs should it did some ridiculous oh [ __ ] babe recently go down to the hit maker song Youngberg did we did that with the rebirth did that almost not even face but listen still it was it was a it was a pretty cool song it was a good song man I had loot on it at first and I can't remember who ended up on this Juicy J Trey song yeah yeah no you was a book that was that was their whole [ __ ] I couldn't do that song that was like year that was your apple bottom with the booth we're dead now tell me no less files and that's all game but number doesn't steal five maybe you a girl me and my wife still tank alright you did prices a little steep but you know I'm talk to cat I have talked to get this is claim that that that weight loss that dramatic weight loss I'm not going to ask about that okay because hopefully if I avail dramatic weight loss lowitz you won't be just okay listen so I'm trying to figure out but you know yeah I'll give you up I still got the same social media I know back pages down but you hit me up yeah let me know have another paper six no oh I feel like all your songs is alive now I haven't paid a regular no no no no but why why would you do that I can barely stand my own [ __ ] house 16 year old no oh as long as my wife loves me you never see me family well you know what what do you think about what do you think weather management oh you all leave it alone I didn't I haven't paid for [ __ ] that I can't room me and my wife have [ __ ] some [ __ ] that was afterwards was like can you get me over or like is always never like that I guess but I guess anything favorite [ __ ] is that before after if it's a flurry the seal forever buzzing when when they're friends with you you can pay after if they're my friend that read a lot of our friends in like a pimp hey is it cool cuz you know for me to be here until today cuz you gotta remember man like there was like a four year period between 2010-2014 I don't remember none of that [ __ ] but I do know I was about to tell the truth I do know if those drugs and usually when visited like left the house it was like daytime and they had to pay for an extra day at daycare or like a babysitter or some [ __ ] I give more than that you look good [ __ ] for the babysitter to wear every strip my got a son ain't none of y'all got daughters what is going on with that every stripper you know every stripper you know got a son never got daughters what is happening with that beauty tell me truth every stripper you help it always you got a son in it but I mean that thing is this because I'm that man because my thing is like on Instagram when I into the stories and like just like like I need them to find a better same way of going from like the stripper home [ __ ] you know what I you know what I hate when your thumbnail when you joint when your default picture is you with the with the across duct tape on your titties man I BAM and then I follow you and it's just all pictures of your dog I just saw you you just told me to follow you like honey it's true you got what do you think about short of these short albums I think it's better at least short we got yo when I was when I was coming up up dog album wasn't an album and listen at 18 songs that was my joint like that was my shitty yo brah would argue with the label all damn my [ __ ] ain't got 18 17 joints on it Oh I just because I had so I recorded was long that was crazy everything but I felt like if I didn't put I could it was a year in between all my albums so I felt like that was a long time to be not hearing new [ __ ] for me back then because I was always you know I'm always on you know LimeWire I'm [ __ ] honest and okay I'm fine and everybody's up on it underground [ __ ] so you know I'm feeling like a year in between all I said y'all hear me in a while so I got to get a ton of [ __ ] but now feeling like I had a lot of wax you know album so now I'm just giving you the booty bangers be your banker please think I'm good it's kind of it now at the moment I don't think it's bad but I also think that people artists are less less vulnerable that one thing I think that at this point is like this phone is like hiding the bad [ __ ] because now even with everything must go [ __ ] I'm like y'all getting all these songs even the wack [ __ ] I know they whack but if I don't get rid of them I'm gonna keep listening to them every time I go in the studio I'm not gonna get anything that true what if I know that everybody got it everybody heard it it's over I'm not gonna go back to it now I got I have to make new [ __ ] so I feel like if you keep all if you keep holding all tonight wack [ __ ] you're gonna always go back to it but the new [ __ ] with the new joints I feel like you're hiding no exit and you know what everybody's been you know if it's going through focus groups and [ __ ] like that then yeah you have no action you're hiding a waxy if you call do focus groups and you'd you know you inviting fans to you know listen assessing the [ __ ] like that you have the wack [ __ ] but if you just putting [ __ ] out and if you think is dope that means you put out someone who actually didn't work and here we go but I don't think it's anything wrong with that short happens I'm planning on doing a bunch of your net so your next project will be leaning more to the shorter side no not in mine personally but I plan on doing something we like some producers like Metro and they told me Carlos you like that like you know because I'm gonna studio with these [ __ ] and we just do like six seven songs and the night this is like this is all right let's out fun see what people think about it or not did you hear side B of scorpion what do you think about it oh I only ask about side B because there's melodic just thing in this like side anymore I like side anymore I do like sabi I do like sappy I can listen to it by myself hey I'll tell you what I couldn't do I couldn't listen to side B of scorpion with you couldn't do it well yes we're too romantic couldn't do it it's not even this what the being a romantic part I couldn't argue about zombie with you it'd just be too much arguing about size B oh we would argue so much about Sammy because first of all half of it's me let's just get that out the way happy with what me so I get that I love you talk about the ones that are gonna sound like Drake like jury like we know we know which rhythms and melodies drink so what I'm very come with and and we expect that but he expects us to like it in a different way because he's got to see deeper moment and he's doing it yeah and and we know we just would argue about that I'm [ __ ] lob I can't express another loved rate without feeling gay and no [ __ ] love drink death ty dolla sign type out his I was on the whole nother level injected me Thomas on is at a higher knowledge of melody and arrangement then drink to me I feel like you said is boring the time now you know I'm saying I feel like often the Magnusson is like oh yeah he's gonna be a good look I guess because I've seen him in the studio with dr. Luke I've seen him in the studio with Skrillex I've seen him in studio with with all these other different shifts and we go so crazy over his hip-hop and R&B features that we're skipping over the city is doing on the EDM trap side that is a [ __ ] that is I don't know over the top and it's just like the [ __ ] the creativity comes up with on so many different genres and other sides we skip already because this is the coolest [ __ ] we can think out that he can do then it is amazing that he's always different he's different it pisses me off like how much dressed going are you in a pub bill I'm not [ __ ] don't have anything not in any deal right now don't like deals anymore I don't like deals anymore I'm gonna do one that I don't love you yeah yeah but that's different because you do want something you had landed in Atlanta two minutes man I didn't do this yo [ __ ] no it's different if you're not into put some toy yeah and you clapping what did you even do that cinematically I don't know what you here are even dog America I gotta make somebody should not be asking I like the views the viewers don't know I guess I don't care about Troy do you think that the Takashi Antonia was real or do you think it was fake the last thing the kidnapping thing um and if it's fake does it does it help new artists to sell records I don't think I think it was fake but there's a possibility there's a possibility I mean it's like would you ever fake something yourself some record no go like selling records under 8 centimeters I think what comes with selling records it turns into a whole different demeanor it turns into a whole different that's it like one like what do you really want to be that important like we've been that important for it like it's not good it's not great it's not a good thing it's not a good thing we don't want to be an important anymore but the new generation I would say it is that important it is that important to be relevant clouds chasing I hate the desolate it's the worst man and I don't think I don't think anybody's cloud Jason I don't think anybody's actually won the attention that they asking for this president wants to get it we're talking about the [ __ ] that was saying that he by the run with everybody saying that he killed 10,000 you know saying and now he's saying yeah you know yeah you know yeah you know it kind of hurt him like a really kind of hard for me to blow up like no you're gonna blow up in first place the money so it's not making their heart you we get it you [ __ ] up you did the wrong thing that's what it is everybody is saying that you know it doesn't get at that city it took to cause a chain and now all of a sudden it's four eight it's fake and you know you you bought into that life either on it or just don't don't start it at all so if that happened footage should come right and then there will be nothing to be but they have footage they have footage from down the road from where to gauzy live so it was like if you ain't in that footage how we even who's feeding into that it's about the people that's feeding into it man and then there's a large audience feeding into it it's a large audience feeding into it but it turns into why it started so why why we it's like a car crash it's so bad but you can't look away you're gonna watch you have to watch it you gotta watch it remember we have faces of death yes like [ __ ] getting their hand chopped off but we have to see it we have to see it everybody was asking did you see the new faces that part the VHS tapes and things I have to bring the VHS tape to your house now it is accessible and it's just you watching [ __ ] destroying a lives a live internet like it don't make any no make any sense but I can't say that I agree with anything that any corner hope cloud chaser is doing but if that's your only source what's stopping it like what's what's making that difference from saying that all we had was drugs and all we had was what we had this is a different drug at this one you knows and one wife I was a drunk now yeah so we can't say that we wouldn't you know we can say that all these [ __ ] on lien crazy everybody don't lean but we was just we was just dancing and singing the sippin on some sizzurp away we'd wait no cuz I love this about about you today and I didn't I've made the tea pains not a weed guy I'm not a week I can't do we oh my goodness which is fine no worse [ __ ] week your stance changed that you don't smoke weed that's not my thing Oh mine but some of the greatness that t-pain could maybe conjure up what what a good one some of the same [ __ ] you've done with alcohol yeah I think we might be lacking it what's crazy is when I smoke weed nothing gets done not just incorporating you know their personal code we tried we tried we tried I've just like okay everybody everybody around me smoke weed and get a contact high and let's see how that works it's been to that degree of minimalism and it has not been great to know I'm not accepting that name well yes 50 what he didn't smoke weed when he said up I don't know my boy he said up are you still not 50 now 50 still of my week even though if you're watching Instagram you might be confused he don't get hard my big aside I don't get how all the time trust me the [ __ ] it's just different man I don't know what it is I don't think it's like a different grade um you know we die you just smoke weed back in the days and even at 16 years old when I was working we don't like let's do it they're like I don't like what it doesn't my boys I don't like what it does I don't like their feeling that you got a burp all the time oh [ __ ] it I hate that [ __ ] yeah I'm super jealous horrible I'm praying Treasury is but getting two wrong huh we're getting too drunk is much more I'm in control being drunk I can control being drunk when I get drunk I'm gonna just get a little bit of water for a couple hours and there you go when you smoke and you get high you have it it's over that's it that's it you hide and it's on rap and then you get in the water and you're anti weed and nothing else you can smugly they'll get your sleeves go to sleep and even if you go to sleep you wake up hot yeah you'll wake up hot gonna fit it's the best when you wake up high it's the best when you wake up high and you got nothing to do got something to do I'll be able to do yeah you got [ __ ] to do man you can't leave had earlier earlier you mentioned future right and y'all wanting to work together so now futures going on with Nicki Minaj recently Takashi was added are you aware what they're doing with the tour tickets no what are you doing it so it's future Nicki Minaj gotcha Nicki Takashi was added recently like last night early oh like one of those and with every ticket purchased you receive a copy of Nicki Minaj this new album she done the Prince John whoa that's where my beef comes from okay because they stopped Prince it's not in Vegas well hey Len I'm doing in Vegas the record industry is a hole put a stop to prince doing it and then once they got control of the infrastructure they are allowing Taylor Swift he's other people to do with Nana Ticketmaster and all that she's involved where are you field period just should it be allowed yeah absolutely is it Devlin be allowed first short guarantee and it's not and it's not for Nicki it's not for any of the artists it's look like I said like I said I can put out a mixtape of 30 [ __ ] songs right now if I put out a mixtape the labels not getting anything of that it's true they're not getting any part of that if they paid for me to go on tour how they gonna get that money man I've put out these songs for free so nobody's getting money back for that I'm going on tour I'm getting my show money you're not getting money from that so I get it so it's look yogi y'all shut the [ __ ] up out there I'm trying to wrap my interview when I rap independent I'm sorry so a whisper like learn how to whisper from the guy that knows how to do Hey so when earthquake is coming you get under your desk yo so alright all there on the five-year-old's I know y'all is really [ __ ] with this but the desk ain't gonna do [ __ ] and a wife fall on you yeah I was under the desk you and [ __ ] with that is use this rebellious against everything I have a problem with figures authority figures I don't like people to feel like they can tell me what to do I don't have I have a problem people if they like their anything I feel like you came to yourself from the future and you still me like it just seems like you just that stubborn thanks you could you you know what you want him in in 20 and 20 18 right wait what was I saying I'm just saying some before you just told him about dissing me you say that I would come back before that though I'm this others you all the time like even though now you made me forget my mic with Oh 2018 here it is oh man I feel like I should add oh no wait no you saying do record labels need to pay for the tour no record label should pay for the tour I was saying do you think that do you think that it should be allowed for every tour ticket for the fan to get an album and it count towards your album sales like Oh Yankee monologist album sells will be from these tour ticket bullshit's whatever absolutely it is resident about to perform every time an album hell yeah you got to hear the last one open you better get there right now no [ __ ] you just heard it okay you want to hear it on an inner you in here laughs cuz you've got you bout to listen to one you want to listen to one of them if you if you might listen to it live so our grapes are you walking to my concerts about to hear it live [ __ ] you ain't got a CD player which you you a cup to the headphone cord you got a concert well guess what he's about to go on YouTube and listen to it a thousand times free or you bout to come in his [ __ ] concert and get the experience of a lifetime once how do you feel about the waste stream streaming streaming pays okay and I only bring it up because you you you brought up YouTube and there's all types of discrepancies between how YouTube is paying I don't like how I don't like I'm strategic it is I know I gots to cheat it is it's like look somebody listen to your [ __ ] that's it they listen to they'll it's not like I'm somebody gotta listen to your [ __ ] fifteen hundred times and then they listen to your [ __ ] no no they listen to my [ __ ] baby early liked it they liked it for like a year it's like hey my [ __ ] give me extra I feel like ten strings on one song talk about here yes ten strings on one song should be a sale every barely expand come on give me my [ __ ] man again so it's like if you saying if you saying nice for what got a million streams and is and this planet no no no no well I'm of the belief you telling me nice for what got a million streams and the whole album when plenum we know they're not at all we're not doing that at all we're not doing no [ __ ] gotta like the whole album you listen to this album ten times the whole [ __ ] you can't go back you can't go forward you can't skip nothing [ __ ] you then you give me a sale the whole thing I agree you like you like nice for what then goddamn it listen to it but then it gets trickier it only gets trickier because okay you like nice for what so if you listening to nice if you streamlines for what during album release week we will count it if you don't stream it that way we can't count it toward your first week sales but we can count it toward your full album sales no gun no nice just you got more chance to be around in New York just just going to the house blues at some point it's gonna [ __ ] up is that ain't no kind of bad at [ __ ] yeah it's [ __ ] up Celebi it's not even [ __ ] fun like people that don't sell [ __ ] I hit that because there's a lot of independent artists that get more streams that actually can have more sales than these big artists but they're because they're not mainstream it doesn't count as much like there's a like we don't you know there's a lot of a lot of underground artists that have bigger first weeks then he's a big artist and then I'm making more and then I'm making way more what else on publications on everything but they don't get paid attention to as much because these people know that you're not gonna pay attention to it as myself we're gonna make sure that the same face on every play this even if you don't even want to listen to this top 40 pop playlist we're gonna make sure that the same face did you looking for us on this so we gonna make you click that and I'm pleased here I'm here you've got a really long day with fuse tomorrow and I've been saying for you the t-pain you need to jump into the concert game so I'm happy to hear that you own this content TV like today is t-pain today right now today would you say that t-pain is underrated overrated or appreciate it just as he should be today and every artist probably feels like they're underrated no no no no for me going on my Twitter lately and seeing what fans are saying I feel like I'm right absolutely I feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be because I know for a fact that I have been contributing to not only society to the music industry like like I would have been no I haven't been khatoun it to the music industry for how many years like for real I mean unless it's a team eggs or something like that like I haven't been adventurous I haven't been a detrimental part of what music is right now for the last few years I know that for a fact that there's artists right now that I've gotten their styles for me in the artists right now that have being influenced by me and [ __ ] like that I get that but I can't say that I'm made in it but I can't say that I you wouldn't be here without me because there would have been somebody practicing my [ __ ] there would have been somebody doing what I thought I was doing by myself at the same time LeBron wasn't holding present practicing on the [ __ ] on the court well Michael Michael Jordan was doing his thing like it wasn't did not get that you're not going to one brother like you do not the one person that's doing what you're doing and I can see I can see how over paid more attention to waned and he did me but I can still call them on use an auto to him but it's like that's not that's not what he does yeah you're not saying it I can still say that Trippi red got some got in [ __ ] from me but no you got a [ __ ] from [ __ ] that was way after me you know saying 69 got his [ __ ] from roun door number nine Rondo even [ __ ] get another to see from me a bread six not brand new [ __ ] and he got his brand new start you know sadly and we can all you know as all [ __ ] we can be like oh no you got that [ __ ] from onyx you know I'm saying and [ __ ] it to you your tone and run it like that six time I'm [ __ ] remember onyx money like we get it like get that so it's it's about ego and it's about how you feel that you've really influenced anybody at all there's not a solid platform for anybody to say I'm the one that made this entire generation you just can't you just can't say that I have a song write a question for you huh even as even as you as a as a lyricist as one of the best [ __ ] leaders I've ever heard in my life you can't say that a lot of leaders carefully you can't say that Jay Cole took your [ __ ] you can't say that you can't no you can't you can you would it be correct you can't be right would it be correct you prove it none of that absolutely we can all say these things and we can all claim these things which would make us look super [ __ ] cool but as as two individuals who I would kind of agree that don't give a [ __ ] if people think we're cool or not it's true I'm not I don't think we would give a [ __ ] about everybody thinking that we started anything it's that and and I think we would find solace in ourselves to say we know we did start certain parts of it and we are cool with sitting back and saying [ __ ] yeah tell me I love you where you could take you and tell you where you can tell you we don't have to come out and say I know there's my [ __ ] but we sit back in our living rooms like he definitely got there for me that's true you know observed we sit back in our living rooms we sit back with our kids that will for sure take on season like no question do what we do like you know saying like guess like did he said I don't know look but this is you know just us just I know for a fact me and you said in our liver or like I think you got that from me and we'll keep trapped cells yeah so you know it's not like that I frown upon anybody that I know for a fact definition from me and it's still good night and because I know they think they got certain things because I see anything like all day I see you know [ __ ] on everybody's face like I got my [ __ ] from Wayne I'm like Wayne got a [ __ ] from me and then I'd see people like oh I got my [ __ ] from Chief Keith and my chief kind of [ __ ] you know you know I'm doing the whole I'm doing Oh spiderweb conspiracy theory on the wall like and she keeps Reverend Dwyre on that she keep his wire to Duane and that's me and conspiracy everybody everything leads to me I could do that all [ __ ] day but what's this awesome what's the point sit around and say little rappers that I read better than before what like this is pointless there's no the issue is can I give you anywhere Robert Kelley 19 minutes of admittance you know I haven't even married no one has heard the 19 minutes of admittance but it exists and he did put it out I probably got through about three minutes and 20 seconds of it feel like we should oh oh he was saying a lot in the first three minutes in the 19 minutes it was a lot 90 minutes you know you never know what are you saying a lot I was a meat nut you know no [ __ ] ain't allowed to say this but it wasn't bad it was catchy there's really no we're not allowed to say that could be supposed to hate or killer oh no oh no no no we can't oh that was way earlier yeah my song write a question could you brought up me over so anytime somebody bring us up I want to say who's the better songwriter between a neo dream and Sean Garrett who's the better songwriter whatever bits that a family who died right before if you talking about some [ __ ] that's some [ __ ] that's quick some [ __ ] that back and that's gonna be a hit right away you know it's a dream dream yeah absolutely if you talking about it right away quick I mean are you talking about being in the studio say we need to put this out tomorrow the dream with the pressure you wanna go okay if you want to say you can write a song that's gonna last we need we need a song in our last four or five months it's Neal for sure absolutely guarantee and I've been in the studio with all of you so I'm know exactly how they're right I know exactly how they do it like it's it's a ridiculous who was the third verse Sean Garrett Sean Garrett is Sean Garrett is man [ __ ] laughs I got you great soul winner I love so I getting either great songwriter but shine here it is is who you call for like a brandy song for like a song that's gonna be the best out of the three that was a great oh yeah that was well put yeah last question and I'm done I'll give up under this [ __ ] dream sold his catalog recently are you where yeah 23 million after life in the event is somebody comes to t-pain and that type of situation happen you soldier can't walk oh oh tell me about that I almost asked the nutrit [ __ ] is better start coming to [ __ ] approach oh oh yeah I think this is new I don't understand this was like cuz we trashed two three years ago okay like somebody gave me about about biomechanoid and then I had never known anybody that has sold a catalog so I was kind of naive about the whole thing and then they came to me about some of our catalog I was like get it you know I am making no money right now I'm putting on oh so all right are you trying to be in the forefront so I was like ooh all right what do I gotta do and like I said I had never known anyone did it so the fact that dream got 23 million it kind of [ __ ] me up when I heard it because they came at me with six million and I was like say the same thing for different I'm better a better but one egg was what we need when he came to me I was like oh well then I was saying it I don't think drafting dreams catalog is worth a lot more than 23 million dollars no we're talking about dreams Camelot we're not talking about its performance catalog catalog being all of it Beyonce songs all of it oh that's not what we're thinking about dream songs we're thinking about dreams arms and how they perform but those songs are included in the camera no they are but we're thinking about the dream song aren't they and we were thinking about the Beyonce joints in comparison to dreams though that's not looking at if we're just looking at dreams catalogue by itself without Beyonce without jay-z without anybody named I was before anything like that and everything keep in mind we talk about dream we're nothing about Ricky and dream we're just talking about dream but the trickier dreams [ __ ] falls and dreams can't long no did the trick eat the chicken so he gets a little bit I mean he gets a little bit buddy [Music] [Laughter] [Applause] but that was years ago but still like it was both of y'all should give more than million think what was it a portion of it over the whole can law they wasn't over you know you no longer retain ownership yeah but six million dollars yeah why would anybody do that that's not valued correctly and I don't think that they knew I was in dream and remade fancy ah don't do that I'm gonna let you do it yeah yeah fancy which fancy the 6-minute fancy no it's one fancy one dream fancy we might [ __ ] at but from dream well you know you fired not gonna know the record but dream fancy fancy is with a with the fan sample came from me I'm a I'm a finest [ __ ] now okay so all right let's do on a money step I would not want to mention fancy how long you can dreams catalog look really can t please get along [ __ ] the lifetime of it yeah a lot a lifetime you don't own it it all yeah but I wanted don't you ever don't you sell nothing for less than [ __ ] don't you sell hundreds of Camille well no I didn't do that because I knew they was [ __ ] sure but still how much did ain't about his catalogue from [ __ ] there early 2008 right now besides buying a deck how much you think rihanna can longer sell for an asteroid you down that's the early to down don't you say none crazy we talking about on the river near the boundary plane listen man pain going to [ __ ] dance to ponder the trip on the river right now is your work oh yeah whatever it did it did until people found all around us didn't they want to hear that goes under dreams can his body of work right yeah yeah that's that's a good 1.2 million you made an umbrella all right I'm done I don't know say the bad buttery we know never really yeah it was about edit at this point it was about all independent artists like coming together making a giant when was dreaming the pivot oh that time you just work my dream was signed to Def Jam pain yes he was that's how he was able to this man studio that he owned and I was trying to put my army group one chance on his label in the Arizona [ __ ] he was just ready to go he always doing a song everything where do these live until he's had to dream I'd like to see some of the rappers get this arm be money that do you ever think those I'm sorry did you like the do your phone now yeah you love juice well I just keep hearing his name now I hate that you just don't like to work juice I love juice especially apple juice and that just work in school I just don't like when I've never heard a nigga's name before ever and then the next four months that's the only name I hear so it just makes me look a little way yeah he's me I'm gonna
