Protestors, supporters gather outside Trump rally in St. Paul

Former president, Donald Trump is on his way back to Florida tonight after making his first stop in Minnesota this year, he headlined the annual Minnesota GOP dinner in Saint Paul. Kicking off the party's state convention. Trump is positive he can win Minnesota this November something a Republican hasn't done in half a century. Ian Russell is here with Trump's message to our state in a building used to seeing tense moments outside. I've seen video of known terrorists walk across the border was more tense than anything else. Friday night. A protest outside over what's happening inside. That is all you need to know. You want to lock him up for what former president Donald Trump speaking Friday night at the state GOP convention ahead of that. About 100 people gathered and rallied against him. Everything he is for. I'm against some like organizer Brad Siegel against everything. The former president has done others against specific things. They say Trump has said we need to make very clear that Minnesota's values are not racist and inside the River center, the former president made his case to members of the Minnesota GOP. But I want to just start off by saying hello, Minnesota. This is a great state. We're going to win this state. This comes as Trump is currently on trial in New York for falsifying business records. He's pleaded not guilty to all charges in his speech Friday night, he made many arguments against policies implemented by the Biden and what he says are their effects. This is what we have, this is dynamics. You know, he thought it was such a good term. They had to explain. No, it's a disaster. Trump ending the night with his promise to the Minnesota GOP and we will make America. Great again. Thank you everybody. Thank you.
