foreign and with me is always my co-host and author of the nicest parts of Hell Billy what's up Billy what is going on not much not much how you doing this week ah confused but I am right there with you uh the reason both of us are confused is this week we will be going over the fifth installment of the alien franchise and the first prequel the alien franchise Prometheus this was a movie I was highly anticipating because the last two were pretty underwhelming uh in my uh opinion uh but we're gonna get into it today and boy are we going to get into it God if only you guys were privy to our signal messages uh I got out of control very quickly yeah down the rabbit hole first off just like to say uh be sure to hit that like button and the Subscribe button hit that notification that Bell notification and you'll be notified every time that we upload a video also uh check out our Twitter page blabbercast1 and check out the description down below and pick yourself up a copy of the nicest parts of Hell written by my co-host Billy awesome book ready to get into it brother let's do it okay so Prometheus uh early June 2012 release directed by Ridley Scott that's right the [ __ ] finally came back Eden did the first one and he hasn't been back since so this was a very much anticipated return for the OG director of the entire franchise starring know me I always want to say no no I have trouble with their names I looked it up just for the show knew me were passed I think I said awesome actress I mean this chick's got chops I love them she was great she plays uh Elizabeth Shaw but she was also in another uh uh hit uh that got remade but uh it was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I saw both U.S versions and whatever the the first one was uh and it was really really good also got Logan Marshall Green playing Charlie Holloway Michael Fassbender as David Guy Pierce Gotta Love Guy Pierce that guy's [ __ ] uh dope uh he plays uh Peter Whalen uh AKA Spike Jones and the old man makeup that's William Romeo I think it's jackass all of a sudden yeah I know right um Charlize Theron as Meredith Vickers uh God bless her push-ups Idris Alba and Ian white uh as the last engineer played hero predator and AVP one and two so this is kind of a a return to the series uh the the universe of Weyland yutani so to speak so a lot of Heavy Hitters in here a lot of people with Incredible acting chops bring a lot of credibility to the role and the picture I'm I'm always a fan of Charlize Theron um not only is she uh the very definition of beautiful but she uh is an amazing actress too she can really uh play a role and get you deep down into uh the story and not come out so uh with that uh as I said at Ridley Scott he directed and fox the studio would only do this movie if he had directed it had a 130 million dollar budget made 400 million dollars for 100 million confused dollars worldwide well some confused some not so some people are very polarized yeah some people love it yeah 10 out of 10. for some people as he's uh Ridley Scott somewhat somewhat inspired by uh Charlotte to the uh cherries excuse me Chariots of the Gods uh story where aliens brought life to Earth uh I I haven't seen that yet but uh I've heard a lot about it there's a yeah doing these perspectives uh has really opened up uh a lot of uh new and cool sounding movies that are a little bit more obscure that I gotta watch uh found out a real about a a really good time travel movie that I I gotta watch but it's very obscure so done by some French dude uh gonna check that out but um yeah so uh Scott uh he he's got a lot of really cool uh influences that he's brought to the alien franchise so it's been uh pretty cool and uh yeah so when does come out uh kind of around the 3D the the new version the reboot 3D craze um where the glasses were clear and not red and blue a lot Doris we love you Doris there we go that actually raised the ticket prices usually about almost double I believe I think I saw Pirates of the Caribbean four Stranger Tides with that effect um yeah yeah and it comes back and it goes away and we'll come back again and go away it's kind of funny I saw Star Wars Rogue one in 3D and I don't remember the 3D yeah it's supposed to be more immersive like yeah just more like a depth to the picture but not like the uh where itself sticks out at you as much I think yeah early 80s where they they like shove a baseball bat towards the camera and you're like what yeah so you know yes and yeah no no they did a lot of uh marketing for the show uh for the movie too correct they did it has heavy marketing up front now the uh Ted talk with uh Wayland and then also a lot of promotion with Android David played by Michael fassman Fassbender um now there is some confusion as it is not a direct direct prequel to alien correct but it is in the same universe so I think that's where some of the confusion comes from at least certainly for me some people tied together better yeah I was unable to um Cameron was unable to because we talked for 10 hours until I think we got to a point where he sent me a message that you know just [ __ ] it I'm like okay [ __ ] it um that's where we kind of just got to I'm like you know yeah no more um so 20th Century Fox was pushing a direct a direct prequel I believe from reporters and um initial reviews on this come out when this came out I'm sitting about a three out of five praise for its looks this is a fantastic looking film that it is yes gorgeous wet push-ups um fast vendors performance drip up dripping well it was just a 10 out of 10. so if anyone wants me to say well I think it's 10 out of 10 you showed me a gift for them oh yeah it was a perfect film I don't know yeah what was I talking about but uh it was ding for the week uh weak characters and uh weak script and it was considered not very scary um or I do want to jump very true one thing though towards the end that would that's where we jump around a bit but we're um Elizabeth Shaw has the ax and it kind of reminds me of alien isolation the video game for a bit that's true why it's flashing I'm like that was kind of creepy I'd like to have seen that setting for like 30 or 40 minutes personally with numerous crew members around the ship would have been cool um a lot of the uh baby belugas in there so okay now you're gonna see some gifts coming in here oh yeah um I think yeah I would have liked I think I would have liked that maybe a little bit more of a run with that just because I did find that um sense of Darkness sense of unknown was that that's the thing that that's one of the many aspects that really uh set in the the disappointment for me of this movie is that I heard prequel and I I'm thinking okay this is going to be a movie a timeline a a story in the timeline directly before aliens so we'll get to finally understand where that ship comes from on lv426 right now yeah what the space jockey is and what he was doing why he had a chest burster and was that Cavern that Kane went down into was that part of the ship and why did they have all those eggs there and since we know from aliens that what lazy eggs is is a queen and then you get all [ __ ] up in Covenant we'll get to that next week for now well now and uh and then again you you hear like this is a in the timeline in in the universe of alien and aliens you're kind of expecting that kind of creepy scary atmosphere which is I think another thing that Resurrection didn't have too much it you know alien and aliens and even Alien 3 had the sense of claustrophobic isolation with a Monster hunting you in the dark like you said this didn't really have that no it didn't it didn't have that sense of had a little bit of a sense of unknown but unknown and pending Doom yeah but it wasn't as it just wasn't as dark I mean this is a brightly lit film I Say More Often this is a glossy look the first one for 79 obviously a long time ago it's more dirty uh also I think they should have maybe tried to match the technology look a little bit more because they went nuts with the CGI which is fine but I think it I'm like well [ __ ] why don't we just match it up who gives it it's in the same universe right so you can match up that green Microsoft DOS look I think I've been okay with that but I mean whatever again aesthetically it looks pleasing so I was and and that's the thing this Romo got the budget it was the budget ship you know so yeah save some money that's the standard Corolla yeah um that's the thing with like I always go back as far as like prequels go to there there are a lot of prequels that don't work and there's a lot of prequels that do work in the one that really stands out to me is Star Wars Rogue one that is a fantastic prequel for the two big reasons of it butts right up against uh uh Star Wars episode four New Hope and everything in there looks at the same time period as in Star Wars uh for a New Hope because it's it's at the same time period and this one everything looks so state of the art so clean so shiny so new then you get to 1979's alien and everyone's you know typing on Commodore 64s with that you know Green dos coating on the black right it has the RT screen yeah it has that look and uh well I don't see a problem with having that look absolutely not um but they didn't want to go with that so you know fine I mean I think that's kind of questions like seeing interviews um there's a few more of the fact toys just to get out of the way though before we move on um John space I was originally riding this um who visited a scot-free offices I guess scott-free is I don't know how this works exactly it's T20 Century Fox and you see Scott free Productions or whatever it is right I guess that's another Studio that's attached I'm assuming um I haven't looked that up I showed up but um John did want to go back to lv426 long before the extra Nostromo got there and explore the origins had a 20-page script um I don't know that's sometimes exploring a little bit too much is for me sometimes with origin story isn't it more often than not takes away right from things because I'm like well if I know everything it sounds scary and this certainly didn't become as scary because you know I'm waiting for Cameron to do it soon when Arnold's you know oh yeah I'm gonna drink this poison I can't do it but space Arnold's space Arnold's and [ __ ] I'm like man he just ripped his [ __ ] oh my God here comes the vengineers the engineer oh my God but um they did like this trip but they end up bringing in um let's see let me get his name again it was um John space was you know somewhat unexperienced I don't think he had written anything huge before so they bring in uh Damon lindelhoff Lindelof who's he did uh rewrites which pissed off pissed off Spades yeah uh Damon is best known for his work on Lost which has some controversy towards the end I never seen the show but I didn't hear about them yep he was against having the movie leave off for uh where Kane walks into the room with the eggs he was so he was against budding up against that like a rogue one as you're talking about right so he rewrote the entire script um thought it was strong enough without the alien Hallmarks which kind of reminds me of Kevin Smith talking about so we can look this up they're talking about John Peters like let me see it as a xenomorph in this now [ __ ] that I don't see it yeah all right um like uh Facebook now now [ __ ] that you know it's just he doesn't want to see anything he's have a giant spider in it yeah um it's it's a I'm like well okay why don't you make a different Prometheus to just do a different story then you don't have to do anything with Xenomorphs at all right exactly I mean like literally not be not the same universe so do a different space trilogy totally absolutely yeah I mean this uh it's it's kind of like uh What uh installments uh Friday the 13th Part Five where Jason isn't in it right yeah he's not it's played you know the paramedic sorry spoilers is Jason yeah it's only been 30 years um well you know so that's the thing you're having an Aliens prequel with no aliens in it and it's not scary it's more of kind of like a house of the Dragon thing where it's just text history textbook type of thing it is entertaining and stuff but it's it's highly entertaining I enjoyed the film I did not hate it I just neither did I I'm six out of ten for me which probably pills has low um I mean that's I've looked at I looked at reviews I thought it was I'm fascinated by it some people give it a one some people give it a ten it's a masterpiece because for me atheist is it the Roman god or something like that um I can't remember that whole thing yeah it's Greek mythology yeah man I mean again cool but like I I just think I wasn't I just wasn't feeling it for numerous reasons which we'll get into um they shot it in Pinewood Studios which you've heard that for the other aliens which I'm surprised they did that you know like it wasn't that's too much like the OG aliens though let's shoot it somewhere else I'm like good God guys it's movies it doesn't matter movie Magic yeah movie Magic so um the alien world though which you do see which is strikingly it's beautiful it's that lv223 um lv2 too yeah very good so yeah Cameron has the same time very well um which is uh almost as beautiful as Charlize Theron but almost not quite dripping was that sweat or sir she just come out the cries I don't care yes okay um yes if they're splicing in I'm like I can like that scene I'm um alien world though shot in Iceland at the base of volcano in a Heckler Valley uh wet a digital and Rising Sun pictures at the FX 1300 digital effects shots total in this film composed by uh music imposed by Mark strettonfield if I'm saying that right nice to be saying that wrong because I am uh when Wayland appears uh Spike Jones um there's a uh nod to the OG theme which is pretty cool so that's some of the fact toys out of the way now we're going to dig into everything else um you want to do some uh you wanna do some crunches next to the uh River Cam and poison ourselves yeah yeah I got to do my pectorals before I kill myself what I'm funny is when the outro Engineers fly off in their ship and he's kind of watching them he just puts it down and just kind of strolls off like [ __ ] [ __ ] that I kill myself he just like he like puts it to his lips looks at the spaceship flying away and then throws it over his shoulder like yeah I'm gonna go camping ah I'm not going to kill myself nah nah I cannot do it they got on the space Chopper okay so I'm gonna drink this and give me a belly ache when you said that that was so [ __ ] funny oh my belly oh my belly make life it's like that's the most efficient way you all found to poison yourself but [ __ ] you and [ __ ] you yeah the there's one all right I'm not getting into it okay so moving this will take an hour 2089 uh some archaeologists find some uh find a star map in a cave they found seven others of these and the eighth one is uh just like the center like that's it we gotta go yeah and I found that we're immediately I'm like well my abs are five is that not enough yeah exactly yeah that's the eighth one dude all a to points at the same place I'm like but what about after like six no it has to be eight stop knee jerk reacting the [ __ ] guy from Lost said it has to be Adam all right [ __ ] it all right cool don't ask questions am I all right so I like how how fast I kind of move things along to because they find the star map in the cave and they're like I think it's an imitation next shot is a spaceship hurling ass hauling ass through space and then you see uh you're introduced to David uh the uh Waylon yutani uh synthetic and uh he's doing admin stuff around the ship and uh there's one part where I like that kind of reminded me of Alien Resurrection where he's riding around on a bicycle singing and uh he uh sinks a layup shot with a basketball you know Fassbender made that [ __ ] yeah yeah probably and I just I was like Ah that's probably a nod to a Ripley and Alien Resurrection so it might have been yeah I liked it though I like that whole setup yeah I'm watching stuff that was good family Fassbender adds points to the film oh he's he's a beast and everything he's amazing yeah really good uh so then the crew wakes up they get informed of their Miss of their mission and uh kind of weird like I I agree with this too like they they uh they have like a a briefing and where uh Captain Vickers uh played by uh Charlize Theron she's like uh I'm the the captain if you don't know me I'm like how would we not know you do they just like walk into the ship and then just get into the cryo tubes they don't meet anybody and they don't have any idea of how they're getting of what they're doing there yeah it's like yeah you're going on a mission where [ __ ] off just get in the ship shut up you're getting paid [ __ ] Spike Jones says go now shut up just let it happen that's like all right well [ __ ] it watch me shower I might know oh God just finish just finish um and this is the part where we get to see uh Charlize Theron dripping wet doing push-ups immediate Oscar in my opinion for me yeah 100 and this I've always kind of wondered this uh like the cryo sleep stuff you see this in Alien aliens and alien 3. and a little bit in the resurrection it has a spot in every every single movie how does that work how does a cryo sleep work I I guess your body doesn't age because otherwise what's the point of going to sleep for two years if your body's gonna age it's just I guess everything's frozen so it's like it's no time has passed yeah I mean they've done this in a lot of movies I don't know if they ever have an actual science to it yeah until then once I figure it out one day and then I guess we'd know but I just well I mean Frozen I guess I guess it would have to be a state of suspended animation because right no if the whole point is to negate the effect of just sitting on the ship awake for two years or however many years it takes to get to wherever um and imagine waking up after two years of sleep I I'm groggy as [ __ ] after just 10 hours I know it's like dude it's gonna take me two days a week fully up [ __ ] up Lord I would probably need a nap after I slept for two years um wakey wakey hands off sanky and like [ __ ] off [ __ ] off having me walk around [ __ ] [ __ ] off I would be like uh I'd be like that guy Fife field he won't call him fight them um yeah I'd be like him it'd just be I'd just be [ __ ] trash but uh so they wake up uh they're briefed on what's Happening and then they land um uh they see like was it like three or four like temples in row they land in front of one they go in um they find dead Engineers they see the holograph of the engineers uh one of them got decapitated because they were running for some this is something I found kind of funny Engineers are the ones they they uh they tell us that these are the people that created human life These are basically our progenitors of uh life and whatnot and they kind of stumble upon like a holographic security footage of a whole bunch of these [ __ ] running through the halls and it's kind of done in a cool way but what fascinates me is that not even an incredibly technologically advanced be rich spiritually I can't even say that word actually advanced race of sentient beings creating this black goo crap spaceships Interstellar travel can come up with a Hi-Fi video footage not even on Earth not even these [ __ ] can come can do it they can invent cryo sleep and travel millions of years away seed life on other planets and when they come to video footage 480p come on come on guys what the [ __ ] all right this is I can't do it this is hard this is so hard I can't do it I was just gonna be just for the air okay space Arnold what do you think I don't know I'll be back okay so uh I find a bunch of dead Engineers uh they take at the decapitated head of one uh while they're in there they find like a room full of these like cylinders and stuff and David the synthetic he takes one kind of sneaks one into his bag and takes it back to the ship uh they go back to the ship they start working on the human head and they find out that the the DNA matches human beings and I don't care uh that was my thought yeah I don't really care so I'm not I'm like I for me when I wrote that note just let everyone know I'm not these type of origin stories I'm like I don't think the guy that wrote lost is gonna be able to figure it out so um either so I so I know I get it uh it doesn't do anything for me personally so that's why I write that some it can but for me I was just like um yeah no it's like uh oh my God I'm like oh my God I got a new episode of blabber Castle hey look this matches this our DNA you got more of that [ __ ] weed right like you don't care you got any more of that [ __ ] weed like God you just want to sit there and get drunk and [ __ ] be stoned all day yeah [ __ ] him in his face [ __ ] I need some space CBD I'm chilling so then we cut back to five field and Millburn who uh there's like a a lv223 sandstorm coming so they all kind of like ran back to the ship and fightfield Millburn uh didn't make it so they're kind of like trapped in a cave overnight uh and they start seeing things moving around and they see these long Cobra things uh swimming around and and and like some black goo which we don't know what it is now and we won't know what it is later anyways I think it's like the primordial soup we're gonna step in that and this will be a three-hour show of us just bitching I watch lost all right let's just keep going [ __ ] it yeah yeah the the director of lost lost wrote this and we are in fact lost um so by field in Millburn they come in contact with this indigenous alien life form and what do they do they try to pet it and it attacks them gets a good idea suit yeah it's like oh my God you know I've heard of the quarantine uh policies but you know [ __ ] that and uh uh this is a those things that you see those are a direct influence from uh Francis Bacon the English artist the Scott was heavily influenced on the first film um and uh then five field turns into a raging zombie um comes back and attacks everybody I don't I don't know why that happened um why the good or because see Milburn got attacked by the space cobra five field uh cut the space Cobra off Milburn even though it killed him then that thing had acid blood got on his face he fell face first into the black Goo now he's you know super angsty and uh he turns into a raging zombie they kill him after a lot of efforts which is a cool scene but I'm like what why is he a zombie I don't need to know everything again that's fine but I mean I'm like okay exactly there's a reason for it but after a while I mean I'm already in Washington Covenant I guess we're not I don't know and and that's the thing like you know when the space cobras show up I'm like okay what is that and then from here on out it's there's all these questions that start happening that are occurring to me that don't get answered right nothing I think that bugs the people that don't like the film you know obviously a lot more some people again I can't be in somebody's head so they've their mind fills in blanks or they just don't give a [ __ ] though I know that's [ __ ] cool right on for me though I'm like but you've already this is the same universe so like it just seems out of order from what they've established but even if you take the whole alien thing out of it you know does this movie hold up and I I don't like I think it's still a good movie like it's an entertaining movie but it doesn't it doesn't hold up because there's still all these questions that don't get answered yeah I think what you know one thing we'll keep going through it but it's um it might have benefit from being a little bit longer like two hours 40 minutes or so right or being like a show where it's like eight episodes that might have been a benefit so I will say that in defense of what I think might help me um but I don't know I I think it would have helped everybody I mean if you had the time to breathe and let this movie go then yes yeah so do try to do a lot of story in a short amount of time you're trying to do a lot of story um intelligent Idris Elba he's awesome we've got to mention him you don't have to mention that Idris Elba is amazing because he's interested awesome Captain Awesome actor and uh you know he's [ __ ] great in everything he does um I'm sorry he had to do the Dark Tower there's a complete [ __ ] show Jesus well get me started he got paid heads like he got paid okay so fightful turns into raging zombie they kill him David then uh talks to uh Holloway the uh but Dr Shaw's uh boyfriend or husband or whatever and uh they David takes some of the black goo that he smuggled on board like a little fingertip and he basically roofies Holloway with the uh black goo um Holloway starts to get ill and immediately upon feeling sick he goes and [ __ ] his girlfriend and impregnate impregnates her with he basically gets her uh preggers with a beluga morph and uh I think they call that the trilobite in like you know the alien lore which again is another thing that happens and you're like okay now what the [ __ ] is that why why is how do what okay um yes so she uh uh that then uh uh Dr Holloway he he dies succumbs to the Black Goose stuff before he turns into a raging uh anger zombie and Dr Shaw knows something's wrong with her she gets a scan from David and he tells her that he's impregnated up into like like 10 weeks or something and he just had sex like nine hours ago or some [ __ ] like that and she wants it taken out but he won't do it but then she does the surgery herself and uh Captain vicker's self-medication pod and uh gets it taken out and it kind of like stays in that thing and that's that's an impressive scene where she's doing that all that [ __ ] herself I mean the machine's doing it but I mean she's awake and watching draculous and the [ __ ] out of herself I mean that was good I mean like she's as a new member pass I mean she's uh I might well I must have seen her dragon tattoo but you know she stands out I mean that was uh I mean again could you walk after that no but I I let it honestly now I let go see it's weird I mean some stuff that people won't let that go I was like [ __ ] it uh maybe they have some kind of Space Magic if if you're gonna let everything else go I'll let numi walk after that yeah so um so there's that self-surgery scene where Shaw's in beast mode and then we find out uh Peter Whalen is alive uh for now and he's been on the ship the entire time and he's traveled all that way to try and talk to an engineer uh that they hope to find so that he can find get the Fountain of Youth Fountain of Youth and not die um yeah because I do 196 bro let go yes if you really want to keep eating all those prunes just yeah don't go with Knoxville and do your pranks as old men for me come on Grandpa Bad Grandpa Bad Grandpa um and then from there uh they go find uh engineer uh in the temple which turns out to be one of the ships that uh the engineers use that is very much reminiscent of this crash spaceship on lv426 in the first alien so that was kind of a neat thing that was like the first thing where it's like okay this really is tied to the alien universe and the alien story in some way that's kind of like the first thing that was like okay there is a thread of connection here a very thin thread like one [ __ ] right but yeah they can visit yeah visit that that's cool yeah um they wake up they they actually find like several uh cryogenic uh sleep tubes with some Engineers well only one of them's alive David who is an Android uh synthetic and apparently learned all this [ __ ] on his way here uh he probably he like knows how to operate the computers and wakes this [ __ ] up and the engineers just like uh he uh he wakes up he's like what the hell and uh David can speak engineer so he starts speaking to him uh but you know my theory on that yeah this is good and we're going to cut it in but what exactly what happened is he tried to speak engineer engineer woke up was like look fine you see some arguments and [ __ ] like that and then uh David didn't mean to say it but he said yeah you probably got a small dick and then he just went [ __ ] ape [ __ ] oh the Roy's rage how do you know what my penis looks like I'm 90 foot dollar even if mine is small as we're bigger than yours it's all about the motion you know the space ocean and I I wonder I I wouldn't try to write that in this ribs but you can't for this I'm doing this [ __ ] funny I know you can't I mean it's realistic that's realistic that could happen he can mistranslate maybe Dave is trolling immediate Oscar yeah immediate Oscar I think on that but yeah he starts which was funny too and the other one is just like yeah we have to write about humans because they're barbaric in this extended script and he goes to kill them all and it's a woman too well Twitter ain't gonna be happy with him for doing that son of a [ __ ] cancel [ __ ] yeah that's the thing like apparently like uh the engineers uh what you know we have dubbed them are mad at Humanity they're on their way to wipe them out and like you know Shenanigans ensued on lv223 and so this guy this engineer the last engineer he's like looking around he's like you know you guys are just way too barbaric we gave you plenty of chances so uh in the name of curtailing your angry barbarianism I'm gonna [ __ ] rip all your heads off and kill you he goes on a [ __ ] rampage kills everybody except for Dr Shaw who uh manages to get away the engineer lets her go he starts up the spaceship starts to fly off but uh Idris elba's character takes the Prometheus flies it into the engineer Juggernaut thus saving Humanity from getting good all over and uh yeah which have been like Covenant on Earth and which I might have been okay with that movie like they just [ __ ] they're [ __ ] destroying Earth as Xenomorphs or whatever yeah okay you know [ __ ] it that's interesting but you know of course you didn't go with that we'll get that next week but now exactly yeah but he crashes it in um and uh they the ship crashes and they're trying to run and uh yeah it's a real funny Vickers is trying to avoid Dr Shaw and Victors are trying to avoid the crash Juggernaut spaceship the engineer spaceship and Dr Shaw runs to the left Captain Vickers apparently is like Zoolander and can't hang a Louis and gets crushed by the falling spaceship it's not a sad face but yeah it was like what the [ __ ] no more push-ups yeah sad so yeah then uh engineer chases Shaw into the crash Prometheus [ __ ] uh gets attacked by the Beluga morph or the trilobite and then gives birth to but that's that's my contribution to the show Beluga morph and and vengeineer because they all look like Vin Diesel they do apparently the engineer gives birth to an alien but it's not a xenomorph it's not a protomorph which I've heard thrown around uh it's a deacon which is not explained in the movie it's not dubbed in the movie it's not labeled in the movie this is all stuff that you get from you know deleted scenes and other speculation videos on YouTube and stuff and uh then David uh you know decapitated David gets a hold of Shaw uh on after she's dealt with uh the the last engineer and uh they collab together on another uh ship because there's three temples and each Temple is a juggernaut spaceship they get into another one Shaw or uh David can fly this the ship because he's proficient engineered and they fly off into a into space to go to the home world so Dr Shaw can say what the [ __ ] why'd you make us and why'd you want to kill us and for me personally when I see them fly off and then the credits start to roll a veil of what the [ __ ] settles over me and the old Embrace of disappointment Infuse a vague sense of Ridley Scott's foreshadowed foreshadowed senility but it's only confirmed later on when Covenant is released and waste my time further with Xeno pollen and albino Morse and then I cry myself to sleep the engineers are Obama now too so that's right there's somebody that area 51 design some space yetis they don't get a lot of sun I guess um yeah need more vitamin D yeah I'll let you give your final thoughts on this here I'm just gonna chime in I mean again I looked at better size I like to look at both sides of an argument and in between oh somebody thinks it's some Masterpiece which I've seen that's fine I didn't see it um I think he had too much [ __ ] going on this might have been better as a show was lost too many times I had asked I don't mind asking questions I was having to ask two [ __ ] many exactly that was my problem for me some people won't do it not say I'm smarter than anybody else Dumber or anything like that just didn't work for me but would I watch it again yeah sure it was a It's A Beautiful film um it has a lot of cool scenes in it but it to me needs a bit more tie-in or you do something totally [ __ ] different which yeah we're going to tie it in there's a deacon which you don't know what it really is but well it looks just like it's even a more sort of has a different mouth similar so I'm like okay um Baby Beluga um yeah I don't know good job by Fastbender um Charlotte um Elba Elizabeth Shaw you know as a great character she had that Ripley thing going on but yeah final thoughts for me again I don't really like to rate films now did I like it on that rating yes uh I'm gonna score it six out of ten yeah it's I do think it's better than Resurrection as a movie like visually and production wise it's off the charts it's it's what it should have been for the movie it was trying to be story wise and execution I think it failed and the movie these are my final thoughts the movie focuses kind of on the origins of life and Who Made Who and while it's an interesting question probably a more interesting answer I really don't find it any more enlightening than finding out that Toyota is actually the makers of Scion cars it's a never-ending question a chicken or the egg sort of uh question it just goes on forever right um and what does it matter I mean if you go back 100 Generations in your family lineage who cares they're just strangers without Netflix yes it would be cool to meet them but in the end it's like the Flat Earth argument I mean who cares if the Earth is flat still got to pay your bills you still got to go to work does it make you any more rich or any more attractive to the opposite sex you still got to live your life because in the end life technically is meaningless and it's up to you to give your life meaning so [ __ ] the progenitors leave out the space Arnolds and of Engineers show me some non-baluga Xenomorphs corporate Espionage and eye job synthetic with a feisty iPod either evil or not some big ass guns a plethora of game over [ __ ] and let's go punch it Bishop exactly so I mean most of the answers I got uh were from not from watching the movie but from watching videos on previous scripts that weren't approved and didn't get authorized or speculation from other YouTubers that made more sense than the final movie that I watched uh you know in the theaters and to me this movie while a lot more pretty and Visually acceptable is worse than Alien 3 and Resurrection there's something I'm missing I mean I I I think I am when I watch a documentary on The Shining the Stanley Kubrick version there was a lot of uh symbols and uh artistic meaning that was way above my head but when I learned about it I was like okay that's pretty cool that makes a lot of sense but I'm could I be missing that here absolutely I don't know it's so desperately wanted to like this movie that as long as I feigned ignorance I was able to enjoy it and call it a success that's my final thoughts all right well it went without a say what you uh talked about is uh as well as that it's and I Echo that um yeah it's just the whole the whole like yeah meaning of or is it all from and this and that I don't relate to that as well as I do like Ripley Newt Hicks and that human I can feel that versus like oh no no the [ __ ] guy from Lost forgot the answers to life I'm like well he didn't so um I don't care what you put in a [ __ ] movie um you know we'll find out one way or the other but so we'll see one day I have my thoughts I'll leave that out um but of what happens um but yeah I just like I don't I can't you it can be done well but again I I do better with the Human Relationships uh a struggle an internal struggle something I can relate to a bit more than this like you know like Arnold the stuff that made people so all right yeah I just okay and nice pecks I guess one two three one yeah your son of a [ __ ] 10 seconds I'm free um I I agree like this is a good movie uh it's very it's a very good movie The problem is is it is a story told way too far in the past now if you're watching timelines and stuff like this this takes place something like 31 or 32 years before the events on lv426 with the Nostromo the crew the Nostromo right and Covenant takes place like another 10 years later oh and by the way I think we got to give a a very belated uh happy birthday wish to uh well I guess it wouldn't be a belated would be a pre-lated birthday wish to uh Ellen Ripley her birthday is on January 7th in 2090 so oh there we go happy birthday uh Ellen Ripley um you know 70 something years in the future but it's this story is way too far in the past to be told like if you did a movie that butted up right up against alien and then told all this stuff I think that would have had a lot more success because you would have satisfied a lot of curiosity about you know the the the space jockey and the eggs and you know why did it get there and how did the how did Waylon yutani know about the signal that they were forced to go you know direct them to go uh you know investigate you know because they had a whole mission there and Ash was had a whole directive uh to make sure that this organism got there got back to earth safe and sound so it was uh it's it's just a a good story Covenant is a good story it's just too far in the past to to give us any sort of uh solid foundation to the prequel meaning agreed I said it's just that's what it is though and um wet push-ups so 10 out of 10. yeah yeah so whichever way you want if you want me to give it a 10 out of 10 somebody I mean like I guess you gave it one so it's fine I don't need much I love you Charlie Theron um I'm trying to find yeah there we go all right ourselves a cool [ __ ] so you got 11 out of 10. yeah absolutely I'm hanging out with that guy one day just have a drink with him he's he's that's guy that guy's got to be cool as [ __ ] so with that we are done with Prometheus think [ __ ] good one more to go one more to go I think both me and Billy are suffering from uh Alien fatigue and I do not want to talk about this franchise Ridley mono I mean eventually we will but I'm saying like yeah I'm glad to be done with it next week yeah exactly you want to think about the shrimp I mean again all I mean there's so many comments obviously um if I'm handling the comment review I mean obviously reply and have a discussion I am interested um you know yeah I like to see people's opinions I don't you know it's not good if you have a positive opinion cool man if you have a negative what let it out man let that hate out well and that's the thing like in my final thoughts I was actually asking am I am I missing something here what am I missing yeah right I'm I'm game if somebody says well I think you're missing this from Europe I'm listening I'm chilling let's talk about movies now we're sitting at a bar in a chill conversation not that Twitter fighting [ __ ] I'm chill about stuff I'll listen to you I exactly I want to know I'm I'm not here to like yeah you know I I I'm saying that there's a lot of parts about this movie I don't like but I want to
