. Letβs make some fruity tea today since the weather is so hot π₯΅. I am using my new acorn tea strainer. It is so adorable π₯°. I am going to pair it with the Japanese hanami dango as my tea break! π‘ Letβs dig in! Ooooo I like it! It is very chewy and it isnβt as sweet as I thought it to be. I will definitely buy it from Iroha mart again ππ». Letβs begin to prepare dinner. We are going to DIY Yakitori chicken skewers + Eomukguk (Fish cake soup). It will be a fushion of Japanese and Korean Cuisine π. Letβs prepare the chicken by marinating it with salt & black pepper. I am soaking some satay sticks at least 30 min in advance. It will prevent them from burning on the stove. Now, letβs prepare some green bell peppers to go with the chicken skewers. Remove the seeds from the bell peppers and cut into cubes. I will also prepare some oyster mushrooms as well. Next, I will cut some radish for the fish cake soup. The fish cake is in a meal kit. All we have to do is to put them in a skewer, boil them with the seasoning and it is good to go! This is the first time I am preparing both the Yakitori and Eomukguk π«£. Hope it will be a success π€π». For the longer fish cake, fold them back and forth in this manner before inserting the sticks. Spread them out a little and you will get the pretty folds π. I am going to wash some bean sprouts and cook it with the soup. I got this anchovy power soup broth tablet from Shopee. This will help to elevate any Korean soup π€«. I am using 2 tablets for 1 litre of water. Add in radish & soup seasoning and bring it to a boil. And now, letβs prepare the chicken skewer. I will stack chicken + bell pepper + oyster mushroom onto one stick. There you go! π π+π«+π One learning lesson for myself: To cut the chicken cubes into bigger pieces for efficiency in the future π
. Secret sauce from Tori Q! π
Letβs pan fry them now! I am getting excited! βΊοΈ Second learning lesson: To cut the bell peppers smaller size than the chicken cube. Vegetables cooked faster than meat in general. To allow the meat to be cooked evenly, we should cut the bell peppers smaller
so that it doesnβt hinder the cooking process π€. And now, letβs coat the skewers with some Tori Q yakitori sauce. The fish cake soup on the other side is ready, letβs throw in the skewers + beansprout now π. Look at the first batch π. The soup is now ready! Beautiful π Letβs take the first bite! It felt that we are missing something here π€. Decided to put one last coating of sauce. Meanwhile, I shall indulge myself with the fish cake soup π. Ooo, the yakitori skewers are perfect now with the last layer of sauce coated on πππ». It was lacking of a bit taste previously but it is really perfect now π₯Ή. I am so proud of myself. It was a good dinner π€£. We washed up and waited for one hour before indulging in the sweet treats π€«. I love it so much π. The earl grey chocolate has a very nice aroma smell and the taste is not overly sweet. Look at the ππ. I am pairing it with chamomile tea to have a good sleep later π΄. Thank you for watching my ordinary day, hope you have a good one too π.
