now Adore Me Adore [Music] Me little did I know she wanted youone I thought she was over you but I guess I was WR I came to the party good morning you guys it's Charlotte welcome back to the Vlog today we're doing a little DC day in my life I going to be so so honest with you guys right now I am filming this video As A coping mechanism a brand new season of one of my all-time favorite shows came out last night and it just got to streaming like early this morning so the newest episode is available for me to watch and it's taking everything in me not to have watched it first thing this morning but I knew that if I watch the episode of the show I would not get anything done for the rest of the day I would just spiral into an obsession for the rest of the day and there are things that I really need to get done today and then as a reward for completing everything on my to-do list I'm going to watch the new episode of my show tonight in case anyone was curious It's season 6 of the rookie I don't have cable so I have to wait until it get gets put on Hulu and it got put on this morning at 5:00 a.m. and I could have just woken up and watched the new episode first thing but I didn't I'm showing extreme levels of self-control right now so I'm going to try and be really productive today and get everything that I need to done so that tonight I can feel totally guilt-free about sitting down and spiraling and obsessing about my show if you guys are new here first of all hello and welcome my name is Charlotte I'm a postgrad lifestyle and productivity blogger here on YouTube I just moved down to Washington DC and into my first ever big girl apartment for pretty much the entire month of February I posted a bunch of different moving content so if you guys haven't seen any of that you want to kind of get caught up on how I ended up in DC I will link a playlist with all of those videos up in the cards I believe it's this corner so you guys can go get caught up on all of those it's been so funny those videos have been doing so well like so so much better than I anticipated that they would which means that a lot more people are commenting on them than normal and I'm been getting some people some very very opinionated people in my comment section A lot of people are really angry that I shop at Target like really angry so sorry to all the target haters out there but I know y'all are just trying to actually save me money so thank you I appreciate it anyway in this video I keep talking about this to-do list that I need to complete before I can watch my show so we've got a bunch of different things that I've just been putting off for the last couple of days that I'm like oh I'll do it tomorrow I'll do it tomorrow but I'm like no that day is today we're getting all my stuff done and it's mostly the non-glamorous side of living by yourself like I need to do laundry I need to go grocery shopping and I also have a bunch of stuff that I want to get done for YouTube since this is my full-time job right now as I'm job hunting looking for a more like corporate full-time big girl job so we're going to have a pretty busy day full of like administrative tasks and things that I just need to get done we're going to Kickstart this video with a load of laundry I'm going to throw in the laundry so it can be doing its thing while I go run some of my other errands one of my absolute worst habits is that I won't do laundry until my laundry basket is overflowing like it's so bad fortunately I do have an inunit washer and dryer in this apartment which I am so grateful for we are going to throw in a couple of loads of laundry I'm probably going to separate them into like lights and colors I also have a load of towels that I need to do like I said this is kind of going to be like a behind the scenes day of like all the administrative stuff just a very realist productive day of a girl in her 20s living alone in Washington DC so Valentine's Day decorations that are in my apartment so I'm filming this like towards the end of February but it's not going up until March so Valentine's Day Has Come and long since gone by the time I'm filming this and even longer since gone by the time it's going up so it's probably time to uh take the decor down I don't have that much I just have like a couple of festive things like I put out some balloons and streamers on my console table and I also hung up some streamers around my windows as well other than that I didn't do too much so hopefully it won't take that long to take down I'm trying to decide whether or not I save them I think I'm going to because I spent like 30 bucks on these decorations at Michael's and it's not like they go bad and I kept all the packaging so I think I'm going to save them I also I have like a little streamer and candy and stuff on my table and then speaking of my table I also have this rug underneath my kitchen table that I'm going to return I've been meaning to return it I wanted to give it a few days to like flatten out get used to it see how I like it but I don't I don't like it it's just not the right size or the right colors or the right pattern honestly I wanted to get green so that it would match these green chairs that I have in my living room but it's just not the right shade of green it's more of like a limey kind of green and I want more of like a sagey kind of green so I'm going going to extract the rug from under the table and then wrap it back up and figure out how on Earth to return a rug so come undecorate my apartment with me for a little bit oh oh so [Music] Cru [Music] me [Music] me all right the apartment is undecorated it actually looks kind of sad like I sort of missed the decorations but it's fine we'll get used to it back to normal and if we don't then I kept them all and put them in the cabinet above my microwave so I can put them back up if it feels wrong without them I was also able to get my rug return sorted out so I wrapped it all up and I just need to drop it off at a FedEx location I did have to pay $15 for the shipping they were like we can give you a partial refund and you can keep it but I was like no this was a $75 rug like I want my money back so I'll be getting like $60 back in a refund so anyway we are going to head down to my car and run a couple of errands first up we're going to return the rug because there's a FedEx that's not too far away from my apartment then we are going to head over to Virginia and get my groceries for whatever reason I prefer shopping in Virginia for like groceries and that kind of thing rather than trying to find a local store here like in DC proper it's mostly because of parking I also I found a grocery store that I really like in Virginia so it's also not that far it's like a 15minute drive from my apartment so we're going to head over to Virginia get some groceries and then my mom's birthday is coming up so while I'm out I want to grab a card and mail that out so it gets back home in time for her birthday I think those are all the errands that I need to run outside of the house yeah those are all the outside of the house errands and then I've got a few more things to do when we get back so let's head out and run some [Music] [Applause] errands when I over there I was sent now feeling something I haven't before look at us SL danc and now skin to skin if you keep this up then I'll let you encourage you have a way with me like no one else yeah you almost make me fall I in love yeah you let me hypnotized under white if you keep this up then I'll see the night cuz you have a way with me like no one else yeah you almost make me fall in love yeah you all right we're back oh y'all we are back from the grocery store that was successful I tried bringing my rug over to Safeway that had like a FedEx drop off point within it and it was like yeah we accept QR code scans on the website so I get in there and this lady comes over and she was like lowkey kind of rude she was like we don't do those we only do the like shipping label ones I was like okay and I just left I was like I don't even whatever so I just left the rug in in my car but the grocery store was successful I'll do a quick little haul for you guys and by quick and little I mean it's not little and it's probably going to take a few minutes to get through everything one thing about me is that I absolutely refuse to take more than one trip up from the car to the apartment when I'm bringing in groceries so I'm pretty sure I did pull my bicep lifting everything that I was carrying cuz I carried three full grocery bags plus this package of bottled water but that's fine pain is temporary GR freezer forever so first things first I got this 24 pack of bottled water I don't want to hear it in the comments about drinking bottled water I know it's bad for the environment I know I could get a brda but y'all don't understand brida doesn't help the water here in DC is undrinkable I have tried a brda it doesn't work and if I don't drink bottled I won't drink water so if you're going to the comments right now to be like Charlotte you're a horrible person cuz you drink bottled water leave it leave it alone I don't want to hear it I did did spend a bunch of money this was like my big grocery shop that's kind of just like how I grocery shop I kind of get like everything that I need in one go and then just store it either in the fridge or the freezer until I need it so I really only go like do my big grocery shopping once a month pretty much so this is pretty much my big shop for March um so in no particular order got some eggs I got a value size fillet of salmon because I really like salmon and I figured it would be better to just get a large one and slice the individual size that I want it would be like more economical than um getting like a bunch of smaller fillets a carton of milk I get lactose-free milk not because I'm lactose intolerant but because it lasts so much longer than regular milk and I only use it in like cereal or baking or like cooking recipes so I'm not like drinking glasses of milk so I can't taste a difference and it lasts so much longer today is February 21st the day that I'm filming this this milk has a sale by date of May 19th lactose free milk is my little life hack for if you only need a little bit of milk but if you buy a full gallon or like a half gallon of regular milk it goes bad before you use all of it this stuff lasts forever I got two boxes of my favorite microwave popcorn because they were having a buy 1 get one free sale so that was a major slay for me I got an eight pack of these little yogurt cups I got strawberry and Peach flavor they were having a sale on honey crisp apples so I got loaded up on honey crisp I got got a few lemons some green beans a pear a head of broccoli and some more baby spinach and then I also got two of these caulif power cauliflower crust frozen pizzas I got one pepperoni and one cheese I restocked on Bagels blueberry bagels are my favorite so I got a pack of blueberry ones I'll probably put half of these in the fridge and half of them in the freezer I also restocked on tortillas two shallots cuz I like those a little bit better than onions I got some some cranberry juice a bit juice girly some roma lettuce I got two tubs of butter again they were having a buy one get one sale so I got one just regular this I like the Cary gold Irish butter so I got one regular and then one reduced fat I'm going to see if I can tell a difference because they're the same price and if they taste the same then I'm going to start getting the reduced fat one save my cholesterol levels a bit I got some shredded cheese bunch of meat as well I got ground beef thin sliced chicken breast and and ground turkey as well two bags of Doritos again buy one get one I'm a big snacker and Doritos are like my favorite chips I got a card for my mom's birthday and last thing I got another bottle of my new favorite wine this is the Stella Rosa black it's like a sweet red wine oh my God this stuff is so good my last day of my life video I did a chefing with Charlotte segment and I had a glass of this wine oh y'all and I don't drink red wine like I don't really like red wine usually but this stuff oh my God it's so good so that is the grocery haul again we're probably going to be stocked until like April at this point but that's okay that is a good thing so I'm going to put all this stuff away and then we will go when to get you closer to my body want to feel your head over me going to make them de everybody cuz you know we got chry oh yeah all around me oh yeah chemistry oh yeah you and me you know we got it chemistry it's coming over me it's everywhere I see all right groceries are all unlooted my trash was full so I took my trash out I also wrote my card for my mom and went down to our mail room and mailed that out so hopefully that gets there to Maine in time for her birthday it's currently 4:58 p.m. I'm kind of feeling like I just want to be still for a little while also oh my God my hands are so dry oh does anyone else ha the feeling of having dry hands I swear to God it's like one of the grossest ickiest feelings it your hands get like stuck on your sweater oh God it's the worst that was way too much lotion are going to be extending that up to the elbows anyway as I was saying before I started talking about my sensory issues my dry hands um it's 5:00 I feel like I need to be still for a while like I feel like I've been moving and going and doing stuff non-stop all day and I kind of want to just like sit and be still which is perfect because today for me is a Wednesday and I've been posting on Sundays and Thursdays and I have a video that I need to finish editing so it can be ready to post tomorrow that's going to be my decorating and organizing my apartment part two video so I think I'm going to spend the next few hours just working on that getting that edited getting that ready to go I do feel really good I'm a little bit ahead of the curve my last video of February is a sponsored post I worked sponsored video has already been edited fully like it's already uploaded it's ripar and ready to go so that's going to help me get ahead I feel like so I'm going to focus for now on editing my organizing and decorating video see how much progress we can make hopefully I think there's always got to be that one guy I think the deal that I'm going to make with myself it's sort of like sunsh right now the Sun is going down I think it sets at like 6:00 the deal that I'm going to make with myself I've been waiting as you guys know as I said in the beginning I've been waiting all day to watch the premiere of my of the new season of my show and one of the reasons that I've been waiting obviously was so I could film this video get everything done that I needed to get done but another thing was I was waiting for it to be dark outside so it would be like movie theater Vibes when I finally sat down to watch it and I wouldn't have like any glare of the daylight outside so the deal that I'm making with myself as the Sun starts to go down as it starts getting darker outside is that I need to finish editing this video before I can watch my show this is so embarrassing that this is such an important piece of my life I am so not normal about the way that I watch TV and movies and stuff like I get so deep into my obsessions about movies and TV shows and different like fictional universes like it's so bad anyway I'm going to stop procrastinating and get editing this video because the sooner I finish editing the sooner I can watch my show to my body want to feel your hands over me going to make them de everybody cuz you know we got it can't I get all around me I gety oh yeah you and me yeah you know we got it all right gang it is 8:30 I'm still editing I'm finally to the part where I'm editing all the footage of me putting my dresser together and it's like traumatizing all over again like I oh my God putting that dress together was genuinely the worst time of my life I was so bone tired I was so over it like when I tell you guys there's 6 hours of footage here literally just footage of me putting this dresser together not the explanation not putting the clothes in not decorating literally just six straight hours of me screwing together a dresser from Amazon and I'm done for the night I'm done for the night I can't look at the screen anymore I know I said that I wasn't going to watch my show until I finish this video like basically I wanted to finish this video before I did anything else for the night but I got to give it a rest it's just it's like becoming not fun anymore to edit this video I'm like I will leave it for the morning there's only like two or three more clips that I have left to do I had plans to do like chefing with Charlotte and do like a lemon chicken and orzo pasta that's not happening and I'm going to make ramen noodles instead but I think that's going to be it for this video y'all it's weird it's like it feels like my social battery is dying even though I haven't been social today but I've been vlogging I have been editing footage and that feels similar to like using your social battery so I'm going to sign off and end the Vlog right here I'm going to change into my comfy clothes I'm going to make a quick and easy dinner and then I'm going to watch my show that I've been waiting for since last night I am so
