Advice: Do not travel overnight. You will arrive exhausted. We packed our life in those 20kg backpacks. Including carry-on luggage too, to be able to bring the camera, the drone and the rest of the electronic equipment. The COVID test was carried out at the airport. There was a taxi service there too at the exit after you finished the test. They send you straight away to the hotel because you must do a quarantine until you get the result. My first opinion is about the difference in prices for tourists and locals. It depends on what type of food you want. If you want to have burgers, pizzas, ... All these types of American food. You will pay a tourist price. If you want to learn about Thai culture and also you like their food you are going to find way many better options. Advice: Sadly in Asia is known they use homemade alcohol for the drinks. In some places, not all of them. However, is a common practice. In Bali, Thailand, and others. The advice is "Unless you are in a highly known bar, a resort, or any other similar place. Do not have cocktails" Simply go for a beer or any other drink that is sealed. That they can open it in front of you. The next day we rented a scooter. It is the best way to move around. Otherwise, you are going to pay a lot in taxis and your money will fly away. To hire a scooter the only things that you need are, a valid international driver's license and your passport. Very important. If you have never ridden a scooter before do not even think about it. It´s a different country, The next day we went to the west side of the island. We went to a beautiful beach. So here we go with one of our first adventures. One of those stories not so good. I slipped on some rocks when I was trying to get some nice drone shots. Sadly I fell. Everything happened very quickly. I cut my hand. I still have the scar here. Thank God nothing major happened. But that was part of the adventure. If you check the next scenes my fingers are bandaged because of the fall. Anyway. It is what it is. The next day we went to check out the temples. Something very popular in Thailand. We are in one of the temples here in Phuket. As you can see, it is very big. It is fully golden and inside they have a lot of sculptures This is one of the offerings the locals give in Phuket. It is a very representative colors of red and yellow in all the other temples. Actually, something that we noticed is that every time we were going inside the temples we had to take off our shoes. Also, you are not allowed to enter if you are wearing a crop top or shorts. So take that into consideration. After that, we went to the Big Buddha. Actually, when we went the first time my phone went dead. I could not record at all. So we had to come back the next day to get these amazing drone shots. The next day we went to a viewpoint. Welcome to the 5 minutes rain. We went to the tourist area of the island in Phuket. We went to Kata Noi. We went to Patong beach as well. We got surprised there because you might think that this area was going to be very expensive and not affordable. We thought it was going to be super crowded all the time... But actually, the truth is depending on where you look for you will find. Conclusions: Thai people are very very friendly. They always bow when greeting. Second Your trip may be as expensive as you want. If you stick with western food you will pay a tourist price. If you go for Thai food you will go cheaper. Number 3 Learn basic English. Because it is going to be the language that will help you to communicate most of the times over here. Stay tuned.
