hello uh here's a quick tutorial on using HTTP apis with grafana in this video I'll be using an HTTP get request and using the response from that get request in a grafana panel so first thing first is to create a mock API I'm using a postman to create a mock server uh I have a server running and this has a key API request called test get which gives me a key value pair which looks something like this I'll post a link in the description below uh how you can create a mock server using Postman but you can use anything you can use node red node.js or whatever language or framework you prefer now coming to grafana I am going to set up a data source so let's do it from scratch I'm going to delete this data source so I'll be using a plugin called Infinity I have already installed it so first thing is to add infinity as a data source so you just have to select Infinity let me rename it to Infinity API once that is done you can just hit save and test and this will add infinity as one of the data sources now coming to our dashboard I'll add a new panel and here in data source I'll select Infinity API I'll select the API that I want to use I hit it here now it's a Json response it's a URL and there are a bunch of options but for us it's an open API so we don't need to add any headers or in url parameters and there are a bunch of passing options as well so once this is in place you will get a response back from the API now you can directly use this response let's say I want to put it in a stat panel I can use it in a stat pattern like this let's call it from API and I'll cut out the background that's it apply and that's it save now if I change the response of my API I can say 1.3 two one two one four five and if I refresh my panel it'll update the values from those apis so that's it that's quick tutorial on using HTTP get request uh with grafana thanks
