PRECISION TREE FELLING, TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT

[Music] keep your mind on the job we're falling trees right beside the guys house today in between a pond some other trees and his house and his shop and everything so he had it I think he I'm not sure if he had it looked at someone play someone else I'm not sure but we're going to fall on anyway yeah now I go you should have enough wedges here yeah I do yeah I do good see you on there ha decal the trees are on the right coming in right beside the house here brain up here we're gonna send them down there it's pretty tight quarters actually [Music] there's another shop there we gotta D D go oh I got that hat over the heater she's nice and warm who knows up right he wants to be doesn't want me to hit the that's not fair we gotta hit something so where are Avenue friends it's this grove of trees I'm almost thinking of quickly just flying up this cedar just because friends cedars like glass it doesn't hang on real well but but our shot is down here friends like we got to shoot between the pond and that tree so it's it she's tight quarters it's real tight quarters but that cedar is all limb heavy and soon as it leaves it's good I know it'll drift it'll drift into the limbs friends that cedar won't hang onto the stump it's like glass so I seen you got a little power saw there I might hang that off is running good yeah sharp good good okay I might climb up this one and just annihilate it because it's the only one that I think that could drift on us the rest are fur look at it friends it's you know like I'll show you what I'm talking about here look it's nice Gardens got here you know and this thing's actually leaning to the house hard look at this loopy tree it's leaning ready to the house both of these are actually ugly Wow oh is it ever I should have looked at that a little better son of a gun that one is leaning Wow friends look at this lien whoo hope we don't got root rot so here's this cedar and and look at friends you can see they see it's all bone heavy here you know what I mean so it I think I should rip off that but but the other thing is what I could do is cut it up and take it out with this fur you see I could take it out with the fur and that way it'll it'll it'll stick it'll stick the cedar to the stump a bit better but it still could drift in and I don't want no drift in really so I may take a few minutes and just and just wipe this thing out take the foliage off it just about 30 feet and then a little hang onto the stump a little bit yeah let's do that so geez I didn't realize I guess we're gonna be banging wedges this looks like it's got root rot this one oh yeah that's it does have root rot I can tell I might have to leave that cut up and hit it with that one do you know what I mean because these are what you put a cut in that that will fall right off the stump I think it's rotten okay it's a big job print big job okay I'll put this camera here talk to you guys in a minute clear whoa Oh Oh Oh there we can fall out hitches I'm secured there pull up tight pull your hips into the tree lay back on it taut line hitch two on the bottom see that two on the bottom and two on top okay don't forget your figure eight on your tail but before you do that do a hip thrust pull this line up your tail and sit down on it set your knot then tie that and away you go you're done you can leave your strap on loose if you want if something terrible happened you'd still have your strap on and what you go and just pull out I'm in no hurry I don't go speeding down because you burn your gloves and all that stuff so I'm not into that so I just go I'm not in a hurry okay and this rope is very short so be careful should be a tail on that one but it's not okay we're on the ground here we'll go around the backside of the tree now there we go okay okay we got that cedar kind of out of the way there a little bit there now I'm just I'm shining up this little 850 it's up that one that's mint you know it came with that ten ten and this one yeah it's a nice power saw it's nice and clean it's a good runner it's not a screamer it's just a really good running saw and I'm gonna I'm gonna run out today him this job it's a perfect job for it actually but I am before I go I am gonna give it just a quick little scrub because I it's a fresh filing on it and I used out this raker gauge that is actually a little bit hungry to be honest so I'm literally just gonna give it a little bit of a tickle you know what I'm saying right over nope right on these guys are just busting it here just love a knife this is great okay yeah she's a tight shot in that so play what are we doing with these uh these little guys do you want to leave those yeah possible okay no we'll just leave if the trees taking about they take them up okay yeah that corner so I let it go towards the tree a bit and then I actually cut this wood here this was holding look how beautiful this wood is look at the grain on this wood is absolutely beautiful the furrowed here is just gorgeous okay so I left this as my holding wood because the tree was the low side was under here friends do you understand what I'm talking about by the low side of the tree okay so if it's gonna drift anywhere it's gonna drift into its weight of all that weight that trees about it's it's not even a cubic metre with everything in it which is about 2,000 pounds of Douglas fir it's about 2,200 pounds so even if it was 2200 pounds if it's on a lien the holding was only gonna do so much it's gonna drift into its lay it just is so I stayed on the high stump kept my holding wood up caught up here and nice and even and then just gave it a last little spin when I knew I was out in the hole and just spin it off the stump so that's that kind of thinking I hope you understand okay I'm gonna leave you for a minute get set up here that we're getting into some hairy stuff here so this one's kind of interesting friends because what we would do in the bush here is we would take both of these at the same time because they're tied together the house is here okay but putting them together it's I wanted to go one at a time my plan was to go one at a time but if the other one's gonna help the back neener come out you're foolish on this not to take it you see what I mean like this one's hooked in kind of behind I mean I could bash them out one at a time but I mean look friends they're tied together and there's a limb going behind it which is actually gonna help this tree come out I'm sending them both at once I I'd almost be a fool not to friends as far as bang ability and energy consumption but I mean that is a freaking tight squeeze that's got to go right in there you know so I'm going to set up my hinge on both of them and just tap tap tap and and I'm gonna leave wood on the stump because we got a long way to go to save oak targets so that's the plan so I don't know how much filming I'm gonna do until I get set up I mean I could just turn it on and that's what I fell okay see this right here see the color change yeah this is bone-dry it is from dead wood dead from day one and it keeps going up this is all you won't start a fire you get rid of this kindling bone bone dry yeah yeah okay so you know you'll be pumping your cars out of here you get fired one but you see how it broke wood guys got three inches of holding wood straight across the turf that thing was dead on course when I left the wood you understand and I kept cutting but you know it's sitting there I can get a wedge in nice and easy they can work against each other a little bit that's right I wanted them to go into the earth individual soft that's why I stopped cutting - I could feel it you can feel it in the stump it wasn't hard yeah which it's just that's good come on real nice real nice so this one here's almost ready to go it's it's cut up it's small tree I'll bang it over like nothing but as soon as that thing I saw them both start to tweak a little bit this one took off look at that or coming out good here overnight okay here's a good job cuz we're up higher now like we've gone from all down there was where the tree work now we're way up I got to get that one down in there oh there's the pump post right there so we're talking we're talking thread the needle so that's what we're gonna do Oh [Music] Oh [Music] Oh way to get up your bang away we go like
