the name of the lord hallelujah there's none like him in all the earth we're so excited that you've tuned in with us tonight the lord is gracious to us and we are so excited go ahead and lift your hands unto the father give him praise for who he is and what he's already done and what he's doing in the earth we're living in an amazing time and i want you to understand that as we are navigating this place uh in our generation god is going to do amazing amazing things amen amen amen come on lift your hands father we thank you we give you glory we give you honor we approach your throne with honor and awe and we thank you even now that you will reciprocate your love your power your glory your understanding your wisdom and revelation upon your people to do mighty exploits let unusual encounters happen for them this week in jesus mighty mighty name we thank you that the holy spirit will breathe on this word and give us the understanding to do what you called us to do hallelujah glory to god we are so excited we're living in the most historic moment that we'll probably ever see and um i was really asking the lord begin to how to navigate this next season how to navigate this next season and so i'm i'm looking and i'm asking holy spirit how do we do that and because he's the governor on the earth and because we are co-creators i want you to understand that it is going to be very important that we learn how to pray effectively now a lot of us are praying but it seems as if our prayers are not being effective and i want you to understand that god would be silent for a season but when he begins to speak you're going to see the hand of god and so you know growing up in christendom and really understanding how to read the word for myself and not just rely on somebody else to give me the interpretation and allowing the holy spirit to give me the wisdom of the word and i had to understand that there were things i was doing that were not effective when it comes to the kingdom of god i was doing a lot of religious things but i was not doing the kingdom i was not adhering to the kingdom application protocols and patterns and thus i was just spinning my wheels and not being effective in the kingdom so tonight we're going to talk about how to pray effectively how to pray now i know this may seem you know elementary to some of you but i'm telling you this is one of the ways you're going to get your prayers answered so i'm going to spend the next three weeks talking about how to effectively pray and how to move into the things that god has called you now i want you to go to luke 18 10. i can go ahead and warn you we're gonna do a lot of scriptures tonight because when we understand the word of god we're able to pray effectively we're able to pray effectively and then you have to understand that the reason prayers are ineffective and useless is because god will not hear these kind of prayers now let's look let's look at this luke 18 and verse 10 two men went into the temple to pray one a pharisee and the other a publican the pharisees stood and prayed thus within himself god i thank thee that i'm not as other men are executioners extortioners unjust adulterers or even as this publican i fast twice in the week i give the tithes of all that i may possess and the publicans standing afar off would not look lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven but smote his breath saying god be merciful to me a sinner i tell you this man went down to his house justified he went down to his house justified rather than the other for everyone that exalted himself shall be what abast and he that humbled himself shall be what exalted exalted he that humble himself shall be exalted we've got to understand that in the season we're living in the spirit of pride is running rampant the spirit of pride is running rampant and the bible says that that that this this pharisee began to tell god who he was and what he did and how he was putting himself on a pedestal over somebody else and making himself uh look good in the sight of god by works but this this publican stood off and the bible says he did not even lift up his eyes he said be merciful unto me because i'm a sinner being humble is always the way you're going to get the prayer answer learning how to humble yourself under the mighty hand of god will always get your prayers answered humbling yourself and honoring the throne honoring yourself and honoring the throne that none of your works none of your whether your pentecostal charismatic baptist methodist whether you're the archbishop whether you're the master prophet or the executive evangelist it doesn't matter if you don't humble yourself and what i'm seeing from the body of christ there's a lot of pride a lot of arrogance that's going on and we're wondering why it is taking so long is because when i approach the throne i must do a self inventory of myself to say am i operating in pride in in in any kind of pride in my life am i am i honoring the throne and have i taken myself to a place where now i judge myself in the light of the word of god and humble myself make myself a base that god may exalt me wow that god may exalt me god will never hear a prayer full of pride yeah but you know what that kind of prayer is father i come to you but you know who i am you know i've given my tithes i've paid my offerings i've sown i i've been at the church i've done this based on your color your creed your gender the bible says that god won't hear that kind of prayer now you you've got you've got to understand that if i don't have any honor god doesn't hear my prayer let me let me let me put put this in your notes there's a difference between the purpose of prayer and the strategies of prayer and i think we have mixed up the strategies of prayer for the purpose of prayer let's go to first thessalonians let's go to first thessalonians 5 and we're going to look at we're going to look at verse 16. first thessalonians 5 16 it says rejoice evermore pray without ceasing in every pray without ceasing pray without ceasing in everything give thanks for this is the will of god in christ jesus concerning you concerning you the purpose of a thing is defined and the reason for which something is created the purpose of prayer is always to advance and to extend the kingdom that's the purpose of prayer but my prayer strategy changes now when you understand your prayer purpose then you understand that if i have a purpose in prayer i have to be disciplined in prayer that means if i'm going to be effective in prayer i've got to set a prayer time oh and it's amazing that that your job doesn't let you just come in when you want to there's a time grid that you have to follow most things are moved by time and if we don't uh if we don't set a prayer time if we don't carve out some time of the day we will always give god the leftovers and god won't hear a prayer out of come on weariness or something you do methodically that has no basis so if you're going to be effective he says pray without ceasing you've got to learn how to pray without ceasing you've got to have a prayer watch you got to have a time 3 a.m and most of the time is when i get up and pray but other than that you've got to carve out some time to pray that means you're not always rushing into the throne of god with an emergency in prayer to do something when you have not spent time with him so the ineffectiveness of your prayer life is because you have not given him necessary time you know i would be a little something if my children would just rush in at at the point of their emergency and only want to see me when they had an emergency do you think that would be really effective no he says he wants to walk with us that he would walk with us and that we would be like enoch that we would have a prayer life consistent of prayer that we're able to go in and out of the realms of heavens because we had an intimate relationship with god you know you've got to understand that as you are moving with this he says rejoice forevermore he says look your prayer posture before you come to me is rejoicing oh did you get that that means you're not going to pray all weighted down and all you know sad and always needing god to do something no no remember the whole purpose of prayer expand the kingdom on the earth and i must become a conduit where i expand the kingdom and if you're not you don't have an intimate relationship with god what's coming on the earth is going to blow your mind there's things that are coming on the earth that if you're not rooted in greater than the word of god and not consistent with the holy spirit things are going to make you lose your mind you're not hearing me but those that do know their god shall be strong and do exploit that's what daniel 11 says those that know their god will be strong even in a chaotic chaotic season don't know their god will be healed in a diseased environment that know that god will be strong and do exploits they will do exploits and so they there they cry but none answereth because of the pride of evil men oh my god because of the pride of evil man that means you don't you don't get entangled with arguments with people who are doing evil why because the bible says that there were there were no crime they cried but not answer it because the pride of evil men surely god will not hear advantage do you hear that surely god will not hear vanity neither will the almighty regard it oh my because of the pride again you have to get rid of pride arrogance like i deserve this god's gonna do it i don't have to abide by the word of god i don't have to govern myself by the word pride i can do things in the world and god will stamp it because we live under grace that's pride trying to get rid of or get away with things that is clearly stated in the word of god because you think we live in something called grace we made a cosmic shift and god is doing something amazing in the earth you're going to consistently live in pride the bible says god will not hear you isaiah 1. let's go to isaiah 1 15. i tell you we're going to have a lot of scriptures because i want you to see from the word of god why your prayers are not being answered and i believe that god is going to raise a remnant who will operate in this technology on how to effectively pray the bible says in isaiah 1 15 it says and when you spread forth your hands i will have my eyes from you yea when i make many yay when you make many prayers i will not hear your hands are full of blood god will not hear a person who shared innocent blood now i'm gonna make some of you mad but i want you to understand how to get your prayers answered help me holy ghost when your hands shed innocent blood your hands are full of blood you remember the bible says that kane killed abel and the blood the blood of of of abel uh begin to cry out to god for justice and when you're tied to bloody altars come on that blood is crying for justice and you've got to understand that as a believer in christ you can never stand on the side where bloodshed is always offered up or given y'all not hear me i'm trying to be careful so i don't offend some of you are you hearing me he says wash you make you clean put away the evil of your doings before my eyes cease to do evil cease to do evil cease to do evil why he says i won't hear you i won't hear you i won't hear you we've taken prayer so flippantly that we think we can run into prayer all messed up emaciated with uh unclean garments on with all kinds of of deliberate things in our heart and the bible says that we he won't hear you he won't answer your prayer when there's innocent bloodshed let me help you innocent blood is not always taking a gun and a knife and murdering somebody but bloodshed is you murdering your brother and sister with your mouth you release the spirit of murder with your mouth that's why in ephesians 4 30 the bible says don't let any corrupt communication come out of your mouth why it hinders your prayers it hinders your prayers and we think we've got a right to say what we want to say whether the new president the president that's in are y'all hearing me whatever whatever y'all decided what whatever in anybody and and and it becomes contemptuous contempt you you you bring a contempt in the realm of the spirit when you put your mouth on somebody why because you are image and likeness and you cannot implicate yourself in the spirit then you have an indictment in the spirit and now the enemy has legal right to come and to attack anything in your life because you murdered your brother and sister i have never in my life seeing so much hatred and bitterness and so many uh words filled with hate and racism and all of this and the enemy is sitting back laughing at the church i'm not talking about the world the bible says that the world is doing what they're supposed to do but the church has bought into the lie of fear and pride and disobedience and then we're calling it god put this in your nose prayer with the wrong motive can never be effective prayer with the wrong motive can never be effective okay y'all not hearing me prayer with the wrong mother let's go to james four james four and three wow you asked and receive not because you ask a miss that you may consume it on your lust most of your prayers is a to-do list based on what you lusting after when we pray selfish prayers when we pray selfish prayers only prayer which is offered for the glory of god secures his ears and his answer only the prayers that is offered for the glory of god secures his ears and his answers when your motive is wrong like get him god let god you know this ain't right no no no no no no we're standing on god's side we're going to be effective in prayer we're going to pray the word we're going to adjust our motive and say why am i praying this if you would really uh take an inventory of yourself and say why am i spending time praying about this is this needful is it necessary and is it to the good for the good of the kingdom of god will it expand the kingdom of god or will it make me look better and because i want to look better to somebody else or i need this because i want i'm jealous and i want what somebody else have and these prayers this motive the reason i'm praying this is because i want to get the hand up no no paul says i die daily and until you have a death every day come on only god can resurrect you and you've got to die to your selfish ways you've got to die to your your traditional ways you got to die to the ways that that your parents raised you things that they taught you things that take you out of the graces of who you are i feel the anointing of the holy ghost that your motive must be right and if your motive is not right your prayer will be ineffective number two if we know of sin in our lives you've got to get rid of the sin in your life you know there was a time growing up in church and people would just sin and act like it was okay to come to church and jump and shout but the mothers the mothers when we would have communion sunday we were taught that if you had sin you couldn't take communion now there there is a a play on that but they understood that that if you've got sin don't try to take on the holy things of god and we've gotten away with that we think we can just sin or commit acts of a righteousness for a believer acts of unrighteousness and still think we can stand before god and be effective you know as i'm preaching i'm preaching to myself why because every day you are looking at yourself pulling off putting on pulling off and putting on and watching god do something amazing in your life let's go to psalms 66 and let's look at verse 18 psalms so 66 and verse 18 glory to god look what it says if i regard iniquity in my heart look what he says the lord will not hear me if i regard iniquity in my heart the lord will not no no no no no hear me look what the scripture says let's read it slow come on let's get hooked on phonics if i regard iniquity the word iniquity is unrighteousness or sin in my heart now you get it it didn't say if you did it he said if you put it if it's in your heart oh if it's in your heart to get somebody if it's in your heart uh to think evil of somebody if it's in your heart to fornicate if it's in your heart now they say do the act remember the bible says in the new testament that if you think on the thing you've committed a sin if you regard it in your heart he says the lord will not hear you look at verse 8 19 but verily god have heard me he have attended to the voice of my prayer wow do you see that he says if i regard iniquity in my heart the lord will not hear me your prayers are not effective because your heart is not right you've got malice you've you've got unbelief you've got doubt you've got bitterness you've got unforgiveness and do you know when when you regard that in your heart it becomes a garment those things become a garment and you become defile we'll get to that in a minute let's go to let's go to psalms and and let's look at verse 3 for i acknowledge my transgressions and my sins is ever before me and against thee have i sinned and done this evil in your sight oh my god that thou may have be justified when you what speaketh and be clear when you what judge he says look david understood he says he says but i acknowledge my transgressions verse one says have mercy upon me oh god according to your love and kindness according to the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions why because you cannot go before god with iniquity even in your heart hatred in your heart hatred in your heart your prayers are ineffective and i see all over social media people are praying but i look at their previous stance and i see iniquity in their heart i see hatred in their heart i see bitterness in their heart i see racism in their heart and we think our prayers are being effective i think not the word says it the words the word says it the bible says in isaiah he says i'll give you the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness do you know that that that that heaviness is a spirit why that when you go before it god in prayer and you feel heavy that's a spirit of heaviness a spirit that will re will that will deny you access and he says to overcome that spirit of heaviness i've got to give you a garment of praise a garment of praise now let's look at zechariah i want you to see something amazing uh i want you to look at this and i want you to see in the light of the scriptures the bible says in zechariah 3 let's go over there that joshua the high priest hear this he says i'll give you a garment of praise so if there's a garment of praise there has to be a garment of heaviness or spirit of heaviness but there has to be a garment of bitterness a garment of forgiveness and see once you once you have that garment then you attract that spirit look what the bible says in zechariah 3. look at verse 1 and he showed me joshua the high priest standing before the angels of the lord and satan standing at his right hand to what resist him resist him look he is standing joshua the high priest is standing before the angel of the lord he is representing the lord the presence of the lord is thereby angelic uh you know and angelic presence and the bible says that as the angel of the lord who carries the presence of god is standing there satan is right there to resist them let's see why let's see why and the lord said to satan the lord rebuked you o satan even the lord has chosen jerusalem a rebuke uh you uh there is uh that that is it the brand plucked out of the fire now look at verse three joshua's clothed with filthy garments oh he was closed with filthy garments that's why satan came to hinder him to resist him why he had this was a priest this was the preacher this was the apostolic type in that day and the bible says that he had on unclean garments filthy garments and he stood before the angel and the angel spoke and stood before him he says take away the filthy garments before from you from him and he said behold i've caused thine and nick oh oh look what he says the high priest garments were filthy because there was iniquity do you see that he says take off the filthy garments from him for i caused thy iniquity iniquity to pass from me and i will close him with a change of raiment i will clothe him with a change of raiment what he says i'm gonna take off the filth of his iniquitous patterns and then i'm i'm gonna i'm gonna put him on a new garment and he says let them set a find my tour upon his head and clothe him with garments and the angel of the lord stood by and the angel of the lord protested unto him saying thus saith the lord of hosts that if you will walk in my ways and if you will keep my charge then you shall judge my house and you shall keep my courts so now he's going from just judging over natural things god has elevated him to judge over spiritual things look what he says you're gonna judge my house keep my courts what courts he's talking about that's a heavenly court and i will give you places to walk among these that stand by oh that means he were being elevated at that moment from a dimension of the earth governmental uh atmosphere into the heavenlies and god is about to show you that if you cleanse yourself your prayers will be answered and satan and his cohorts that stand before the presence of the lord to resist you because you are wearing filthy garments we gotta hurry a unforgiving spirit will hinder your prayer an unforgiving spirit will hinder your prayer mark 11 says 25 says when you stand praying forgive when you stand praying forgive if you have any alt against anybody forgive in it amazing that in this season you can be easily offended and you can you know whether you're delivered from that spirit of racism judgmental because when things come up it's something in your heart something in your your heart your soulish realm begins to well up and you become argumented and you become combative and and then you become your soul and your spirit now is is in in a war because because now your god is trying to deliver you from that place an unforgiving spirit come on an unforgiving spirit so unforgiving spirit put this in your nose not knowing how to walk in love that that's why you got the unforgiving spirit because you don't know how to walk in love bible says that god so loved the world paul says that you can speak in all kinds of tongues the tongues of men and angels but if you have not love your tinkering symbol and a sounding brass and that's why we are in the mess we're in because there is no love you've got to operate by love you got to rule your world by love i don't care how chaotic how how how how uh the spirit of racism and hatred and anger is being loosed in the earth you've got to draw a line in the proverbial sand put up boundaries mark your territory and say everything in my world is ruled by love and i operate in the dimension of love and i will understand that i am able to extend ascendant to the heavens by love by love somebody shout love love you've got to love the hell out of them you got to love them when you know they won't ever love you back you better love them when you know they don't like you you got to love them when they walk over you he says how many times and how many times he said 75 he said they smite you on one cheek give them the other chief what does that mean that didn't mean you know you just let them hit you but you mean you operate in a level of love that i keep on loving irregardless of what they do to me the bible said that jesus hung on the cross and said father forgive them for they know not what they do stephen being rocked to sleep the bible says that he says forgive him father for they know but not but understood that he had to operate by love and he had to forgive why if he were stephen would have never entered jesus being the son of god would have never entered into the heavens without forgiving oh my god do y'all see that but that's what you don't know what they did to us you see what they're doing to us now yeah yeah love love love love love love love is gonna bring us to the next place love is gonna bring us to the next place i think that's enough for their comments come on lift your hands lower to god i want you to understand oh let me let me give you this next one fusing to be reconciled to someone refusing to be reconciled oh you say you have to trust them but you got to be reconciled you got to be reconciled you you gotta reconcile to say look i i know i was wrong or even if you wasn't wrong be willing to reconcile whether they receive it or not be willing to say i can still stand in the same room with you and not be offended and not feel hurt or pain oh oh glory to god and then on sunday we're going to talk about being in the wrong relationship can hinder your prayer being in the wrong relationship can handle your prayer we'll talk about that come on lift your hands come on lift your hands if you're operating any of that if you found yourself in any of those uh places i want you to lift your hands and ask the lord to forgive you where you harbor bitterness and anger where you murder people with your mouth where you've about pride appropriate the purpose of prayer and the strategies of prayer when you use prayer as a butcher to get you out of uh emergencies and get you places that god told you and never go into and god wants to take you into this next posture where you you you are able to be effective in prayer and god can use you as a gatekeeper and intercessor to legislate in the earth effectively i've seen men and women of god and administered all their lives and still operating in some of these things and they think their prayers are effective when they don't go any farther than the ceiling why because the enemy has a place in your fragmented soul and using it against you to hinder your prayer the bible we saw clearly that zechariah the high priest the bible says that he was the high priest had filthy governments and satan was there to resist him we want you to have unclean garments come on lift your hands father we approach you throwing we ask you to forgive us every place we violate the patterns the protocols and the rule prayer we ask you now to bring us into a place of of security bring us into purity bring us into righteousness bring us into honor and humility we're able now to ascend into the place that you called us forgive us for praying uh erroneous prayers and prayers that were selfish and prayers that were steeped in hatred and anger we ask you to forgive us take off the unclean garments give us clean garments we're able to ascend into the places that ordain us from the foundation of the earth and every place we've been hindered every place we've been denied we thank you even now for the graceful speed to do what you called us to do in jesus name amen amen can you shout unto the lord with a voice of triumph come on your prayers are going to be effective we get through with this series you're going to assess and know that your prayers are going to be effective and for those who have never made jesus the lord of your life i want to understand that that the bible says that god won't hear those that harbor things and but the day you set your heart to know god the bible declares that jesus will come in and sup with you the bible says he's knocking at your door he wants to come in and bring you this new life jesus is the very best thing that have ever happened to me in life why my spiritual birthday is more important than my natural birthday why because i came into a new dimension of who god is and today could be the best day of your life your spiritual birthday can happen today january 13 2021. you're gonna in the midst of a chaotic situation you can give heart to the lord i want you to repeat this prayer after me and even some of you that that need to relocate yourself where you stand youness but i've been in church all my life i've harbored bitterness and anger and fear and and i was in pride i i harbor hatred i i harvard racism i i i i'm a i'm a racist but i want to get to the lord jesus christ purify me change me just you did joshua that i may stand before you unhindered unchecked into your graces come on repeat this after me father i come to you in the name of the lord jesus christ i ask you to forgive me of my sins watch me cleanse me give me new garments that i may ascend into your presence i believe this died rose and ascended my behalf i make him lord of my life baptize me with your spirit forever give you praise in jesus mighty name if you pray that prayer there's a number on help my heart my attention more than god every area of your life you must make him first and giving is a place that you must make god first that's what it is it's the first it's the tenth part but it means the first tip of everything that you get you give it to god first he took god first if you want to do that that's why i am in your giving will always call you to have access to the banks of heaven to the treasures of the throne god wants to do something amazing in your life i really believe that this is the greatest season of the transfer of wealth that that we are beginning to enter and i think it's going to last for a couple of years and i think um i know that we are in this transition and this transfer and i want you to be a part of that i want you to be a part of that so i want you to show tonight i want you to sow uh some of you need to sow a seed in the ground for your prayer life now what are you saying now a seed will stop a cycle a seed will stop us what you're saying is i say a seed will stop a cycle come on women when a seed is planted in your womb your cycle stops every time there is something difficult in my life something that won't move in my life i know i have to sow a seed i just sow a significant seed that seed put pressure on me i sowed a seed that put pressure on me i'm i'm believing god for a particular thing and i sowed the seed and i'm gonna watch the manifestations some of you need to sow a seed for your prayer life that any thing that is hindering your prayer life you are sowing a seed to stop that cycle now y'all know i don't do pushes or money but i heard the holy spirit they said some of your prayer lives have been contaminated and that seed is going to cleanse that some of you need to pay your tithes your offerings give your offerings and your first fruit so i want you to do that and i want you to understand that as you are doing that uh you're gonna feel the release of heaven on your behalf there are several primary ways mighty name amen amen as you can tell i'm excited why we can't tell people to do something and not give them the tools to do it effectively so we're just telling people fast and pray and we're not giving them the avenues by where we can get prayers answered effectively and so i want you to see this and some of you say well this is elementary no you've got to look at i have to look at myself and say what's in me what am i harboring what i need to get rid of that my prayers can hit the bull's eye at every moment that i am consistently hitting the bull's-eye with my prayers amen amen so with
