hi guys welcome back to my channel so today i'm going to share with you seven things that you should prepare for yourself after you've given birth i feel like we're very very consumed in what we're supposed to get for the baby but today i'm going to tell you what mama needs okay and these are seven things that i found really helpful after i gave birth so the first thing you want to invest in is a good either cream or oil and these are for stretch marks or any kind of dark spots that you might have after pregnancy so you gotta find what works for you um in your country but what really worked for me here in asia was bio oil now i know that you can get this at any kind of pharmacy it's off the shelf and i basically smeared this on myself every night and i still do i look like a glazed ham when i go to sleep because i am putting that oil all over myself i put it on my face i put it on my belly or anywhere that you have stretch marks or even if you have dry skin because i realized if you're breastfeeding you have really dry skin and you need to replenish yourself with water and just hydrate so bio oil is a great way to hydrate your skin stretch marks or any kind of unwanted stuff that you want on your skin another one is getting a really thick body butter for your stomach because even though you're not pregnant anymore you still have a lot of excess skin hanging around so you kind of want to butter that up a lot and make sure that it kind of just keeps hydrated so that you don't have any stretch marks coming out so a good body butter is great so i used bun and marmalade um i used them throughout my pregnancy and i'm still using it now after my pregnancies so this is number one number two is speaking of excess skin around your stomach we need to keep our stomach in so you need a lot of support with your stomach after you give birth because the truth is after you give birth your stomach just kind of goes wrong so you need to suck it in invest in a good core set that's going to help you so it could be any kind of corset that suits your body make sure that it's you know wearing it during the day some people sleep in it i can't sleep in it but i definitely use it during the day so corset to keep your stomach in is number two trust me in the long run that's really gonna help number three is getting breast pads to stop you from leaking now i learned this the hard way i pretty much leaked into all my bras and t-shirts and stuff because i felt that ugh i didn't want to put these in but really getting reusable cotton pads to put in to your bra so it stops you from leaking and getting comfortable ones too that are soft and not gonna like scrape against your nipples these are really good i throw them in the wash i have a whole bunch so i'll wear one a day and then throw them out and then wear another the other day and i just basically have a whole stack of these in my bathroom speaking of breasts when you're breastfeeding and when you start getting milk with your breasts you tend to get very clogged and it's so painful i feel you guys all mothers out there i'm at a constant war with my boobs and my nipples like they hurt so to try to get that clog out um i have been using this organic breast therapy pack which is amazing you throw it in the microwave and you just put it on your boob and what it does is it just kind of soaks up the heat around your boobs and it melts the milk i guess or it takes away the milk knots that you had in your boobs you could also use one of these this is a very typical thai thing it's herbs you put it in the microwave and you're just pressing it on your boobs and massaging it to get rid of all the knots that you have in your breasts so these if you're a mother you know what i'm talking about they're super important so i use these a lot what number was that number four oh yeah yes that was number four now i'm gonna talk about hydration we often forget to hydrate even when i wasn't pregnant i was really bad at hydrating and i always have to remind myself and when you're breastfeeding you are so dehydrated so this has been a lifesaver to me it's just carrying around a bottle of water and putting lemon in it and lemon is actually supposed to give you a lot more energy it's supposed to help you detox it's a very simple thing to do we just often forget and the great thing with this bottle is that it shows the time of the day when you drink let's say when you wake up at 7 00 am by 8 am you should have drank this much water by 9 a.m you should drink this much water it kind of tracks how much water you're drinking a day which i think is really good because i always say i drink enough water i lie because i definitely don't i'm not on track today either so get a bottle that could i mean that could help you with what time of day you're supposed to be with your drinking water i got this from a brand called belly bottle you can check them out and they're at bellybottle.org too so you can actually go and check them out i thought this was a really really cool way of knowing how much water you drink so hydrate mothers because you need it okay and number six i got a lot of messages on my instagram after i posted this story and i thought it would be interesting to share with you guys because this is the one thing that i wanted to do even before i got pregnant i was telling all my friends that watch i'm gonna eat my placenta so a lot of you might be going oh my god yeah walk i'm gonna puke but the truth is i have encapsulated my placenta and my friend rossi which is a doula here in thailand i will put her information on my youtube channel if you live in thailand she gave me um a little note on how many i'm supposed to take a day which was really cute and so i just have to follow these instructions and yes i encapsulated my placenta and their vegan capsules and what rossi did was she came to the hospital she got my placenta she had these back to me in 45 out eight 48 hours and i take two a day now and what it does is it replenishes all the minerals and vitamins that you might have lost during childbirth um it also helps with postpartum and it just basically helps with everything that you're lacking of after you give birth so i don't know i feel great i've had my moments but in general like i feel great and i would highly recommend people trying this it's really not as bad you're not really eating your placenta you're just swallowing it and then another important thing last one number seven is please make sure that you invest in a good nursing bra now not all nursing bras need to look horrible and disgusting and look like mother broads because there are so many brands out there right now that actually do nursing bras that actually look really good when you're pregnant or even when after you're pregnant too so these are really good and i found myself using um bun and marmalade a lot as you can see there's a hole there where you can easily attach your pump when you're pumping if you're breastfeeding your nipple comes right out and you know the baby can reach it it's very very easy to use and it looks nice because you don't want to feel like just because you had a baby you need to be looking like a grandma your time is not there yet so there are a lot of nice nursing bras out there look at this your boob comes right out so please mothers if you still want to keep it you know going for yourself you don't have to buy ugly nursing bras there are nice ones out there and these are my seven tips for you guys mothers out there that have just given birth i hope this helps and i hope that you subscribe to my channel and like my video and i hope to see you guys soon [Music] bye [Music] you
