Port Aransas Beach to Ferry

hey guys you're watching me get on the paved road yay i made it you're watching boone docking with dennis port aransas texas just leaving the beach down by the south jetty these roads go through the dunes we'll go through town a little bit make our way up to the ferry take the ferry today from mustang island to the mainland head to aransas pass and then back to rockport texas 15 miles an hour and i'm going 16 i better slow down the dunes are awesome if you're coming over here vacation check out chapel on the dunes it's on google maps there's a little chapel up in the dunes it's on a public street and they have stairs you could walk up to it in the dunes i don't know the address i know how to get there but i don't know the address but it's on google maps very pretty afternoon really does want to make me come back and sit in one spot for three days i think that'd be fun and get our chair out and yell at people listen to music if we find a really bad spot with no reception we won't watch any youtube for a few days i think that'll be good for me island construction this is just such a cool neighborhood oh before we get on a busy street let me tell you my dad joke this one's for my friends anita and kathy in australia how much do cowboys from texas pay for marsupials that's easy buckaroo buckaroo ah nice i got that from siri if we go straight we can make a left and go to the ferry i think we'll make a left here and go through the town see the sights well they got a donut place across from the ice cream shop if anyone here wants to get diabetes i highly recommend parking there this is one of my favorite restaurants tortugas right there saltwater grill they have really good chicken avocado salads there and i've gotten all kinds of different food from there they're good castaways is on the right that's a good place never went to the dance club with live music that definitely isn't me not anymore treasure island the vfw salty dog this is alistair street moby dicks will be up here on the left moby dick salty dog this place has everything it was a good uh good time here today an old church over there paul's seafood is supposed to be really good i've never been in the place but i've heard and read good things about it little ball field right there car in the middle of the road for no reason whatsoever island cafe i've gotten breakfast from there a few times all right there with my friends uh leah and tracy t-shirt chops what is this grocery store called here port aransas family center but i thought it was i i forgot the name of the place liquor stores banks more t-shirt shops this place has everything i like porto ranches i like the beach island candy on our left i think my first girlfriend was called island candy who was my first girlfriend patricia and her brother was blind in chester pennsylvania how old was i that was second second third grade so how old would i have been i don't know what age kids go to school i was 16 when i graduated days before i turned 17 so take eight years off of twelfth so i would have been that would have been fourth grade so what was i seven has anyone here ever done math before but trisha was her name and her younger brother was blind i remember that she lived in a housing project right across from william penn elementary school which was on i-95 in chester pennsylvania when i last drove by it i don't know 15 20 years ago it was surrounded in barbed wire and i'm pretty sure that's the same barbed wire they had when uh when i went to school there chester pennsylvania right next to marcus hook pennsylvania boeing was right there i have friends that worked at boeing retired from boeing years ago my friends bill and ed here's some more restaurants up here san juan the dock i've only gotten to go tacos from san juan but a lot of people say it's it's really good you know how a fried chicken place has a chicken on the top and a barbecue place might have a pig on the top i want to know why that mexican restaurant has a horse on the top what kind of meat are they serving there at the san juan ferry make a left here let's do that okay i got a yellow flashing light let's do it a little bit less traffic huh than when we're over here in the summer this guy's got a wand he's looking fabulous not much of a fairy line so far that's good i want to say about a year ago the ferry used to load on the other side of the road there and this way is much easier now that i'm used to it loading on the ferry is only as good as the guy giving you directions so we've had just amazing skies all day today i'm old tired and grumpy it was a long day at the beach guys how many videos did we make one two i think five or six hmm we were very productive today we did a good job you did a good job dennis thank you michael watched my um video about uh indian point park the new shade structures he's very upset that i don't have my um pass for rockport beach in my right hand corner and i don't know how to follow instructions well michael when you make my truck payments because i certainly don't want to make them anymore you feel free gotcha you want me to pull into the lane that you're standing in the middle of i got you buddy i understand you can put that sticker wherever you want i've been putting my sticker right there because it's not in my line of view this is my eyes up here i'm six foot six and if i put it in that corner where the instructions tell you to every year it's in my line of view so that's why i don't put it over there i always love when people watch a video and they find something to complain about that has nothing to do with the video let's just ignore the fact that i have a huge crack in my windshield and worry about that sticker loading up the truck i don't think we're getting front row this trip guys they're not going to let me drive the ship today i would like to be outside left on the left so that i can um steer the ship tell them buddy they got to wake up you got to wake up i'm ready boss you just let me go thank you sir send me outside lady lady send me outside send me out yes yes that's what i want thank you lady that's a lady right it's hard to tell i think it's a lady i mean they're covered they're smart for being covered up but i'm all for it yes all right we're gonna spot dolphins guys we're done fooling around we're gonna spot some dolphins tell me when to stop buddy stop okay we're gonna stop here nice switching hands and i'm going to open my door and shut it just so my battery doesn't get wasted there you go we're right next to the phil wilson so i think what we learned was these boats are named after people involved somehow in the ferry business upper-ups former captains and then the trim colors are those their alma maters their school they went to and i did check three or four and they were correct i didn't check them all but if anyone wants to uh google phil wilson and see if his uh excuse me school colors were purple that's purple right said the colorblind guy that would be awesome man we're loading quick we're loading quick guys check out the color of the water thank you lord for a good day in port aransas look at these collars they have over the pilings we've run into a few of those over the years haven't we choppy waters or strong currents or the captain sneezed we're moving we're drifting out real slow i love a boat ride usually on this type i get stuck on the inside on the right hand side and i can't see a thing you know i only saw two larger ships and i've been here all day one coming in one going out and i saw two medium ships [Music] i don't think i saw a dolphin today [Music] it's still a little early for them to be in this channel they love it here at dusk and dawn but they go where the fish go there's a fairy landing over there [Music] i have very good memories of port aransas i can even mention on youtube [Music] i see a ship way down there that one might be anchored i checked vessel finder before i started this video and i didn't see it on uh i guess friday morning's video we showed that pier down there that they're building at charlie's pasture well there's some wood in the water some debris some debris into sea here's another fairy joseph r weber and looks kind of like what what is that black trim brown trim pretty neat i love a boat ride i don't even have to chip in for gas on this one yeah there's a ship down there damn look at these monsters oh sorry i've never seen these ones up close or at least never noticed them before so the ship to our left is the [Music] i'm sorry guys that's out of my immediate a-m-e-a-m-a-d-e-o s-a-e-n-z junior and i apologize those weren't names when i was a kid not in my neighborhood so i'm gonna go back and watch this video and google that name see who they were you see who they are and what they did and learn something well guys i know we're not off the boat yet but i think we made it thank you so much for riding
