It just hurts that it was such an avoidable accident. As the hoons we all are, we've all had those times we've come upon an empty road and decided to have a little "fun" with our cars. Let's use this tragedy not to attack the driver for driving recklessly, but to remind ourselves to do our spirited driving in a controlled manner.
I really hope his daughter is well taken care of, shes only 15
Just because the driver was a pro doesn't make it right to drive like that on a public street. The fact that both of them are dead just proves my point. I know I'm sounding a bit like an asshole, but this should be a lesson to everyone else - not even talent will save you.
"Fastest car we've ever had"
As soon as I saw the wreckage and realized it was a Carrera GT, I wasn't surprised at all. Supposedly one of the least forgiving and difficult cars to drive.
ITT: People acting like they have never hooned their cars on public roads at least once.
Quit trying to be superior, shit happens when you're being reckless. Most of us are just lucky enough to have not died, yet.
Edit: Speeling.
I watched this last night on Netflix. Fucking scary car. I cringed when I saw the Stig spinning out in the car, then heard Clarkson say he had to practice the entire morning in it. If he can't even handle that car, I would think the majority of the driving public shouldn't go near it.
Kind of reminds me of James Dean's death a little... very sad.
Does Paul Walker really deserve BLAME for this? As a passenger?
Also, thank god all of you are such perfect drivers. Please, continue to lecture on how dangerous cars are in everyone else's hands.
