extreme trends presents police find a missing boy encased in concrete they couldn't believe who did it before we begin do us a favor and click that like button also subscribe to our channel and click the notification bell to be inspired by these heartwarming stories every day hi everyone welcome back to extreme trends where we bring you unbelievable real life stories every single time children are the hope of every generation and they should be given the support and care that they deserve so that they can grow up to be better adults to lead the next generation it's the cycle of life and love must be the center of that cycle unfortunately that was not the case for three-year-old evan brewer the young boy had been missing for a couple of months and when all hope seemed lost the authorities received a call from a concerned landlord the authorities called evan's father carlo brewer to come with them to see what happened when the boy's father and the local authorities arrived the landlord who gave them the tip led them to the laundry area of one of the houses and immediately they caught an unusual smell that seemed to come from inside the walls the local authorities broke down the walls of the laundry area to see what was causing the smell and after a couple of hours everyone almost fainted from what they saw they found evan's lifeless and severely decomposing body encased within a concrete block within the walls it was way worse than anyone could have ever imagined and it happened to a three-year-old boy who could not have possibly done anything wrong with the help of the landlord the authorities were able to easily apprehend the perpetrator they thought they'd seen the worst but they could not believe who did this monstrosity to the young boy it was 41 year old stephen bodine from kansas stephen was the boyfriend of evan's mother miranda miller as it turned out carlo and miranda were no longer together and miranda had custody over evan miranda and steven had been living together with evan things kept getting worse authorities who investigated the case believed it was not some accident and it wasn't a short-term thing they found evidence of the couple making videos and taking photos of this little boy being treated badly some of the footage even showed him chained and naked in a basement and some showed him being berated by his mother and her boyfriend his mother miranda testified that evan had been sick in the days leading up to his passing there was a day when stephen made evan stand against the wall for hours his punishment for not eating eventually evan collapsed at that time steven took a screaming evan into the bathroom when he came out he was carrying the little boy's wet lifeless body in his arms miranda also testified that at one point steven said he was going to take care of evan before he started the smell it was just unbelievable that his mother heard all that and was not bothered by it steven then went to buy bags of concrete in a trowel and used them to hide evan's body in the laundry room it was all captured on film because they had a home surveillance system there's no need to try and keep the bad guys out when the worst guys in the world are in the house with the good ones by the time the landlord noticed the unusual smell the couple had already moved out of the premises interestingly amanda continued posting on social media as if everything was normal she even put up a chilling post just a few months after evan passed away sedgwick county district judge steve terence said that evan's death and beatings could have been avoided had stephen and miranda called family or authorities there are at least a dozen people in this room who would have been more than happy to receive a phone call to appear on your porch immediately trenis says adding that instead of stephen and miranda keeping the child from his family including his biological father in the weeks leading up to his death stephen bodine will spend the rest of his life behind bars evan's father read this statement in the courtroom after saying that he believed his son was present and that his spirit was guiding the jurors my son was taken by the worst monsters that many children create with their imaginations i honestly believe that anyone who could do such horrible acts to a child does not deserve the breath of life evan can now rest in peace knowing that justice has been served but there will never be any peace for the family members who loved him and who were left with an unfillable void in their lives thank you for watching if you need a more heartwarming story after this check out some on the extreme trends channel
