[Music] what's going on Imperials it's a bird cubone here with the franchise it's large it's pokemon it's only natural that you would come across some that will rub you the wrong way but usually you can remedy most ill-will that may arise just by giving the Pokemon a chance whether that's actually using one or just learning a bit about it but every so often you'll open yourself up to change only to be let down terribly and just so we're clear I don't necessarily hate any of these Pokemon but here are the top six pokemon that I've grown to dislike number six Meganium it's ironic that the counterpart video to this one ended with a grass starter and now this one begins with another starting out I had nothing against Chikorita it's perfectly fun just maybe not as cool as the other two options it's middle stage is great amping up the spikes and making the leaf on its head look threatening but then we get to the final stage and if somehow it just loses all of its edge the treacherous blades are treated out for some bug like antennae and the color spikes are taken away in lieu of giant flower petals the look of this Pokemon is so much less intimidating than any of the other grass type starters but it's much more than that because I've actually used one chikorita in the johto region is at an immediate disadvantage while the other two starters are just fun chikorita has to contend with facing a flying-type Jim right off the bed and then has to trudge right into a bug-type Jim this might have been alright except that saying that the chikorita line has a move fool is quite generous the only non grass attack that it learns through level up beyond tackle which it knows from birth is body slam it can't learn some more moves through mu tutors or TMS but most of those are only in the more recent generations like bulldoze or dragon tail it could be given a TM for iron tail or earthquake but I'd rather use those on Pokemon that are stronger or at least one that isn't so weak I use the Chikorita the first time I played through the gin for remakes along with the other two starters and it had difficulty carrying its own weight and when I restarted my game this time with two of the Kanto starters I decided to give Meganium another chance and it still let me down even with the best moves I could teach it Meganium is just not suited to its home region being disadvantaged too well over half of the gyms in some way even the island scan of June 7 gave it a worse hand than the other two I loved the first two stages design wise but their performance can't measure up when it is constantly having to be healed or revived just trying to keep pace with everyone else number 5 Jellison I just wanted to start this injury by saying that I had mixed feelings about Jellison ever since it first came out largely due to its design you see relish has a massive difference between the male and female versions of the species and this carries over into the evolved forms as well male Jellison looks to be a respectable gentleman and judging by the placement of the moustache it seems to just be a floating head with tentacles coming off but look at the female the male is super tiny and way further up than you would expect almost equal with the eyes it throws off the proportions drastically and makes it look like it's swollen well beyond the point of being hazardous to its health seeing as it's a ghost type that's probably related to how it died serves it right for all the ships that it sinks according to the decks entries that alone is not enough to put it on the list and I would just like to point out that I have personally used to Jellison in one of my replays of black and white too and it wasn't bad it did its job and had some extra coverage beyond what I expected it was a perfectly fine addition to the team but it wasn't meant to last you see as I'm sure many people will tell you in the comments section I am NOT that adept at the competitive scene so most of my exposure to it is either watching others play or Pokemon showdown now everybody knows if people are only allowed to use the same dozen Pokemon and they're competitive teams because hey they work this is a case with Gela sent and I have faced so many of these bulky stall factories but I would be fine never seeing them again Jellison is a ghost so it can't be flinched with fake out nor can you use rapid spin it's so fat it can just sit there and soak up hits only to heal up with leftovers and recover but it doesn't just stay alive forever no instead of killing you outright it launches into an infuriating filibuster to prevent any enjoyment from occurring we'll give you some crippling status condition and watch you limp into the grave as it smugly laughs behind its wall of eternal healing never before as the temptation to rage quit been so strong in Pokemon but if you've had a similar experience happen to you then I don't really have to say any more number 4 spirit tune this spooky Pokemon is apparently made up of 108 spirits attached to the odd Keystone according to legend they were bound to their eternal home due to some misdeeds they did 500 years ago so right off the bat it's pretty creepy and clearly malevolent what did these 108 phantoms do that was so bad to necessitate being punished in such a manner were they all guilty of the same heinous crime it's got to be dark for a reason right furthermore this Pokemon is fortunate enough to be a ghost archetype which makes it especially privileged in the gym for games because combination had no weaknesses not until fairies introduced to generations later would there be any counter in this bulky apparition battling this behemoth was always a pain and still is even with the lone tool to use against it but none of that can be said from personal experience because you see those are not even the worst aspects of spiritual spiritomb for whatever reason has one of if not the most complicated means of encounter in the entire franchise for its native game at least on the surface it's not that hard you just stick the odd key stone in a dilapidated hallow tower just outside the other haunted place they decided to build a daycare next to for some reason but what makes it so terrible are the requirements that must be met underground the pseudo underground was an interesting idea and depending on your taste you might have to spend considerable time digging through the tunnels I myself spent a fair amount of time looking for fossils and evolution stones that is until I delved too greedily too deep but to get a spirit tune it is mandatory that you talked to 32 people now to some that's no problem at all but there are also people like me out there who are not so fortunate to personally no active fans of the series so in all my time in the underground I've probably had more run-ins with NPCs than other players so there was no way I could ever hope to get a spirit tune and it seemed just as complicated to try and gin.5 the first time I was ever able to reasonably capture a spirit tomb was an Omega Ruby and alpha sapphire in C marvel so my frustrations in having to face one in combat was only compounded by the inability to find one for myself turning this floating well of souls into a huge thorn in my side number three Wingull and pelipper let's all take a moment of silence to honor the most dedicated group of people in the Pokemon world swimmers they go out into the deep everyday to follow their passions and do what they love knowing that they will be relentlessly assaulted by aquatic creatures at every turn the limited pool from which to choose means that you will likely be facing only one of a handful of potential Pocket Monsters in the earlier games that's compromised mostly of tentacle and Tentacruel but once the Hoenn region rolled around a new menace was brought in Wingull and pelipper can be found all over the Hoenn region and in other regions that follow this is especially bad in the generation three games and gate brakes seem to be a bit squeamish about including fully evolved Pokemon in the wild so most of the time it would be a Wingull despite it being above the threshold for evolution and another notorious flaw in Pokemon is the fact that there are usually only about two to maybe five Pokemon that can appear on a route now they have gotten significantly better about this in recent generations but for years the likelihood that you would find nothing but Wingull on a water route was so high that even if you used to fly you couldn't see over it and due to Winkle status as a flying Pokemon it's able to be encountered not only over the water but it can appear in the grass as well you're not even safe on the land and yes I also use one of these on a team once and while I was surprised that it could learn the shock wave team for some reason it still had a rough time holding up and pelipper 'he's new toy drizzle does increase its competitive viability but it makes it obtain in the wilds of a low load when you inevitably try and run but can't they say that overexposure is always a good thing but i have to wing it pests that would beg to differ number two Wobbuffet my goodness what can we say it's on the TV show a lot with Team Rocket other than that I don't know that I've ever had a positive experience with warm first of all small issue but I hate the gender difference it's the only one that I really actively hate the lipstick thing is just dumb where would they even find that in the wild and before you say it isn't actually lipstick but some sort of alter de pigmentation the female why not looks the same so I'm not buying it but that pales in comparison to when you encounter this Pokemon shadow tag is an infuriating ability that prevents you from leaving a battle with very few ways to get around it such as a move like u-turn or a shed shell or ghost types being the only way to flee but running into a random wobbuffet can ruin your day especially when you're unprepared such as if you're training a low-level Pokemon at the front of your party I've had far too many Wobbuffet travel through my PC just because I figure it would be better to try and catch them than to kill off half my team and go back and heal and while I've yet to do an unlock personally I've seen more than a few instances of this Pokemon dropping in to devastate a trainers team or even the entire run and try as I might there's no way that I can use its non-existent move fool effectively only counter attacks means that Wobbuffet swab will but they don't fall down I know it's a punching bag that punches back but that's not what I want my punching bags to do in short I do not care for this pokemons gimmick since it has only ever brought me irritation and contempt and the less we can have of that in the Pokemon world the better number one para sect some of you are out there crying are you crazy para sect is one of the best for shiny hunting and groups yeah it probably is but this entry is almost entirely from personal experience I had nothing against para sect before other than the implication that the mushroom takes over control of the bugs body but one time I decided to put a para sect on a team because I needed a grass-type and thought it might be a nice bit of diversity turns out that was not the case first of all bug grass is not a great type to begin with being x for weak to fire and flying except engine one buck was weak to poison as well so a para sect is the only Pokemon to have ever had three four times weaknesses except mine also had the dry skin ability so it was actually eight times weak to fire even with the immunity to water it made it pretty tough to use when simply touching a match would knock it out but the absolute worst part had to be that I also had a mad cargo on the same team and for some reason they were the same speed I expect magcargo to be slow it's literally a snail but there is no reason that I can think of that would justify this random mushroom pokémon to be as slow as a lava mollusk that's hauling a rock as poor as Paris ex performance was to begin with it was crippled by being relegated to a literal snail's pace and just made using this underperforming Pokemon an absolute short so those are the top six pokemons I've grown to dislike what questionable experience says if you head with Pokemon let me know down in the comments also be sure to leave a like share this video and subscribe so that you too can become an imperial today and we'll see you around next time [Music]
