Crush 40 is responsible for most of the best Sonic music.
I guess I can count Jack Black and Tenacious D but I love how he keeps showing up in Double Fine games now.
Even though they ain't really done much with them nowadays, I'd always unironically look forward to some new Crush 40 songs regardless of the dubious quality of the Sonic games that came with them.
Am I allowed to pretend that Daisuke Ishiwatari is a solo artist and therefore equivalent to a "band" for the purposes of this question?
Recently been streaming Remedys games for my friends and I swear Poets of the Fall are the perfect compliment to their games. Whenever A track of theirs appears in their games I either giggle with amusement in its implementation (like the audio testing chamber in Control), or get insanely hyped (like with the Old Gods of Asgard tracks in Alan Wake).
With Remedys games all having some link to one another, I love that this band is one of the key figures that links all these games together. Alan Wake has met them on a talk show, the FBC uses their songs for testing and their credits song in Max Payne 2 could be linked by the fact that Alan Wake writes the Alex Casey books which are a very clear reference to Max Payne (since remedy lost the rights to MP to Rockstar by that point).

I mean the Darius series alone is full bangers.
Combichrist and British Sea Power
The only thing I don't really like is how in Disco Elysium (OST by British Sea Power) the songs change the name of real world locations, obviously it makes sense but it just sounds weird to the ear having heard most of the songs before. The OST is beautiful though
ALSO I hate it when licensed songs are cut all funny so you can't hear any of the chorus or good bits
You can't really make a Super Robot War game without JAM Project doing the theme song.
