βͺβͺ βͺ Last day of the
rest of my life, I wish I
would've known βͺ βͺ Cause I'd have kissed
my mama goodbye βͺ βͺ I didn't tell her that I
loved her, how much I care βͺ βͺ Or thank my pops
for all the talks and all the
wisdom he shared βͺ βͺ Unaware, I just did
what I always do βͺ βͺ Everyday, the same routine
before I skate off to school βͺ βͺ But who knew that this
day wasn't like the rest βͺ βͺ Instead of taking a test,
I took two to the chest βͺ βͺ Call me blind, but I
didn't see it coming βͺ βͺ Everybody was running but
I couldn't hear nothing βͺ βͺ Except gun blasts,
it happened so fast βͺ βͺ I didn't really know this kid,
though I sit by him in class βͺ βͺ Maybe this kid was
reaching out for love βͺ βͺ Or maybe for a moment
he forgot who he was βͺ βͺ Or maybe this kid just
wanted to be hugged βͺ βͺ Whatever it was I
know it's because βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the youth
of the nation βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the
youth of the nation βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the youth
of the nation βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the
youth of the nation βͺ βͺ Little Suzy, she was only 12 βͺ βͺ She was given the world
with every chance to excel βͺ βͺ Hang with the boys and
hear the stories they tell βͺ βͺ She might act kind of proud,
but no respect for herself βͺ βͺ She finds love in
all the wrong places βͺ βͺ The same situations,
just different faces βͺ βͺ Changed up her pace
since her daddy left her βͺ βͺ Too bad he never told her
she deserved much better βͺ βͺ Johnny boy always
played the fool βͺ βͺ He broke all the rules so you
would think he was cool βͺ βͺ He was never really
one of the guys βͺ βͺ No matter how hard he tried,
often thought of suicide βͺ βͺ It's kind of hard when
you ain't got no friends βͺ βͺ He put his life to an end,
they might remember him then βͺ βͺ You cross the line and
there's no turning back βͺ βͺ Told the world how he felt
with the sound of a gat βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the youth
of the nation βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the
youth of the nation βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the youth
of the nation βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ We are the
youth of the nation βͺ βͺ Who's to blame for the
lives that tragedies claim βͺ βͺ No matter what you say
it don't take away the pain βͺ βͺ That I feel inside, I'm
tired of all the lies βͺ βͺ Don't nobody know why, it's
the blind leading the blind βͺ βͺ I guess that's the
way the story goes βͺ βͺ Will it ever make sense,
somebody's gotta know βͺ βͺ There's gotta be more
to life than this βͺ βͺ There's gotta be more to
everything I thought exists βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ -βͺ We are, we are βͺ
-βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ -βͺ We are, we are βͺ
-βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ -βͺ We are, we are βͺ
-βͺ We are, we are βͺ βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ -βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ
-βͺ We are, we are βͺ -βͺ We are, we are βͺ
-βͺ Youth of the nation βͺ -βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ
-βͺ We are, we are βͺ -βͺ We are, we are βͺ
-βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ -βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ
-βͺ We are, we are βͺ -βͺ We are, we are βͺ
-βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ βͺ The youth of the nation βͺ βͺ We are the youth
of the nation βͺ βͺ We are the youth
of the nation βͺ βͺ We are the youth
of the nation βͺ βͺ We are βͺ βͺβͺ
It was a simpler time when washed out or sepia tone car rides were the focus of music videos.
Donβt sing yet!
*We were, we were.
Youth of the Nay-Aytion!
Saw them live at the state fair last year. They actually arenβt that bad live. But still I get why they fizzled out.

Not all Christian rock is 100% laughable garbage.
Kinda funny story: My father convinced my mother that POD stood for Pigs of Death and was a satanic band. She got mad at me for listening to it once. I still make fun of her for that.
R.I.P dad master of dad jokes.
