is this finally a smartphone that we can call a Flagship killer or simply some great smartphones May again be reasonably priced Poco X6 Pro LS with amazing specs but is the new software flavor good enough let's inspect hey great to meet you everyone I'm the techish on the channel we expect some cool and interesting Tech and that's the new X6 Pro Bo Poco and if we look from distance of time I think we kind of got used to the fact that smartphones just like most pieces of tech have become a bit more expensive and if we have to be fair in the past two generations the xline has not been that convincing so really high hopes about this particular smartphone because it has a lot of Flagship grade features or close to Flagship grade features and the price which is so good that it is hard to believe live therefore a thorough inspection now so that we can figure out whether this Smartphone is as good as we hope it is it is supposed to be in the lower and mid-range segment competing against Galaxy A50 series and similar but given its specifications it's more of a competition to phones such as snotting phone 2 even some 2023 flagships so let's get straight to the point I was expecting no surprises at all during the unboxing but there have been some nothing at the beginning was suggesting such though at least if you look at the Box only cuz inside there finally is this small change with a huge impact a non-transparent case which on top looks great it's feeling similar to the ultra slim sping cases and you at least know that it wouldn't get any nasty yellowish tint after a couple of months using it here's the phone with a pretty serious camera bump maybe this is something that Poco wanted to achieve because it looks like an iPhone or maybe not and this glossy back yeah slippery in the summer or in areas with humanid air and obviously could help the authorities by capturing all of your fingerprints the frame looks good though nice cuts for the buttons nothing about the build suggests that it is made for the budget friendliest xiaomi sub brand if we go through the specs which keep the same kind of Impressions because dimensity 8,300 Ultra is faster than last year's top and cheap set by qual the phone has configurations with up to 12 gigs of RAM half of terabyte storage most of the latest connectivity standards a large 5,000 mAh battery with super fast charging a triple camera setup and even is among the first selected from xiaomi smartphones to arrive with Hyper OS the specs sound really great and besides the obvious which would be the construction and this pretty nicely looking AMOLED display I think inside the components are very promising cuz compared to last year generation we have almost twice more RAM at least for certain configurations and almost twice more storage which kind of compensates the lack of micro SD slot inside and thinking through most of the specifications that we are going to discover are very close to what xiaomi 13t offers and uh the L one costs almost twice more in terms of money and you would discover that Poco are adopting the new mediatech dimensity system on a chip it's one of the first smartphones launched globally with this particular s so but there's even more good news if we put the camera aside for a moment um Ram inside is lpddr 5X and we have ufs 4.0 storage which means crazy fast and especially for gaming that makes a really huge difference now the other big topic is about the software Poco X6 Pro is one of the first smartphones from the sh ecosystem which is launched globally with the hyper OS Android skin it's based on Android 14 really a lot of promises for better performance better battery endurance and some more nice customizations something we're about to explore after I cover one of my favorite topics we want to focus now on the camera setup well this is impressive yeah daytime photos are not a too challenging task for most smartphones these days but retaining such a good amount of details is a good sign the camera app is the same as the app used in Mii so no surprises here and you actually get some pretty awesome features 4K recording is possible up to 30 FPS and even the Cinematic 24 frames per second mode is available something which is missing even with xiaomi 13t Optical image stabilization improves the shakiness levels and having ois means that the lack of a telephoto camera is not such a big deal because you can use the software zoom and still get awesome shots if there is enough of Lights if you feel that there will be some weak areas for the main camera this clearly is not the night mode because it also delivers astonishing photos and if we put it side by side with some of the most reliable camera phones out there you will probably agree with my statement that it's not too far behind maybe the portrait mode is not that efficient there's a lot of AI and software processing involved and it's an area where the dimensity series are still kind of catching up improvements are expected via software updates and I can say this with confidence because the reputation of the much more expensive xiaomi 13t using the same line of chipset from the last year though is at stake too the ultra wide camera is all right for daytime photos as expected not too good when it comes to night shots and I continue to question the need to add a 2 megap macro camera that this simply doesn't bring much value from technical standpoint I'd always go for the main Camera Plus software Zoom if close-ups are needed the front camera is according to xiaomi and poco's traditions not as good but not too bad either just okay still if I need to summarize the overall camera setup performance it exceeds the Expectations by far test of the front camera outdoor rather noisy Street and this is also an opportunity to try out the microphone I can notice that there is a bit of stabilization not that superb though and maximum video resolution is 108p 30 frames per second meaning that the front camera is not that good but I think even in low light quality is rather acceptable the next critical component is of course the very new dity 8,300 Ultra it is so good heavy Computing tasks no problem web browsing no problem multitasking likewise it is manufactured on a 4 nanometer process by tsmc which also suggests excellent battery consumption optimization the statement is backed by the excellent screen on time achievements and so far standby times seem to be far better than expected but we know that battery endurance May degrade over time with the operating system having to deal with too many logs in cash really nice to have is the super fast charging it's going to top up the battery foress less than 40 minutes if we take a look at the stress graph this is done after utilizing the CPU at maximum levels for 15 minutes the performance remains pretty consistent puts to shame the famous tenser based Google pixels for example if you care about gaming sure let me show you some evidence that any kind of game is going to be handled not only that but you can play them at maximum Graphics settings and the nice gaming experience is further enhanced by the AMOLED display with 120 HZ refresh rate PCO promised a lot of great things about it with excellent touch sampling rate with great visibility angles and Peak brightness but truth is that I didn't quite like the color tuning and couldn't find a setting even from the custom modes to make me completely happy with it although after a while I managed to find a kind of a sweet spot the dimensity 8,300 ultra is so equipped with most of the latest connectivity Technologies 5G is present of course Bluetooth 5.4 Wi-Fi 6E the famous infrared blaster which is still to be found with the Poco models it can be used in set of most remotes at home even the speakers are very well sounding music for my ears and I really hope to be able to say the same about the software experience because it's time to take a look into the new hyper OS related features and I'm not going to trick you I have to me that my first encounters with the new hyper OS have been not that exciting I totally dislike the quick Togos Arrangement believe it or not it's even worse than the new control sensor Style on MIUI hopefully Poco are going to find a way to give us some more customizations because I don't like this iPhone lifestyle other than that you're going to notice a lot of similarities to Mii the OS is polished full of beautiful animations and keeping most of the positive for mui features comes with some blo Weare these are unwanted apps which you can luckily uninstall it's the price that we pay for getting such a good Hardware at this tempting price if you look for differences to the pretty ceasing software builds some are kind of weird others are more reasonable such as the improved battery life and the better Bluetooth connectivity perhaps a lot more has changed underneath so that hyper OS becomes a standard for the Mi ecosystem even the new su7 car is powered by this operating system I still cannot decide whether I like it more than muui or not speaking of things to like or not a good moment to put together a list with a drawbacks there is no wireless charging no eam support the front camera is just all right and the retirement of the micro SD car slot in the headphone jack makes me little nervous based on these drawbacks I think we can conclude that the Poco X6 Pro is a perfectly balanced smartphone with the right corner cut and given the price point it has the potential to be the best mid-ranger of 2024 even challenging some of 2023 flagships even some of 2024's forthcoming flagships plus the new software which sounds very convincing especially the long support period i I don't know I I really enjoyed using it and it represents a notable upgrade over last year generation and it's really nice to see that it kind of keeps the very nice price stack and I'm really curious to hear from you do you like the new hyper OS features in performance and how do you feel about the new Poco X6 Pro and in case you want me to try something else for you or if you
