Poco F6 vs Poco F6 Pro: Which one to get?

hey what's up guys will here for GSM aren xiaomi has a couple of new f-s series Flagship killing po phones the lower tier model is the vanilla po F6 but for more money you can upgrade to get the Poco F6 Pro which of these phones is the better deal let's put the Poco F6 and the Poco F6 Pro head-to-head and find [Music] out there are plenty of differences between these two po models and one of the major ones is price the pro is about 120 bucks more expensive while the two phones have similar overall dimensions the regular Poco F6 has a plastic back and a plastic frame whereas the F6 pro has a glass back and an aluminum frame you'll also notice that the vanilla F6 has separate rings for its cameras while the pro has a large camera Island for some reason the Poco F6 has higher rated ingress protection at ip64 versus ip54 on the F6 Pro that means F6 is better protected against dust both phones have a 6.67 in OLED with a 120 HZ refresh rate though the vanilla model has a 1220p resolution and gorilla glass victus protection meanwhile the Poco F6 Pro screen uses Gorilla Glass 5 and has a higher 1440p resolution the difference in resolution means the pro model is sharper at 526 PPI but at 446 PPI the non-pro model is plenty sharp too you get get the same goodies on either phone such as 12-bit color Dolby vision and HDR turn plus video the max brightness is just as high too with a boost up to over 12200 nits in auto mode when it comes to audio both phones have very good stereo speakers with similar Max loudness and the audio quality is equally great in our testing you can get up to a terabyte of storage on the Pok F6 Pro though the Pok F6 maxes out at 512 gigs neither is expandable through micro SD both of these xiaomi phones run on the same software the latest hyper OS on top of Android 14 you can check out our dedicated video about hyper OS to find out more about its specific features and both the Poco F6 and F6 Pro come with the promise of 3 years of major software updates and four years of security patches the vanilla po F6 is based on the Snapdragon 8s gen 3 A pretty new chip that is powerful but not up to the level of the top tier Snapdragon H gen3 the PO F6 Pro uses top Flagship silicon but older it's the leading chipset from last year the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 overall when it comes to benchmarks the PO F6 pro has the edge in some tests but the difference between the two phones isn't really major in practice the regular po F6 is again plenty powerful and like a sibling it easily chews through any task including heavy gaming when it comes to battery life the Poco F6 and F6 Pro earned almost identical active use scores of around 10 10 hours and 30 minutes in our tests this battery life is nothing special when it comes to a mid-range phone the Poco F6 pro has the advantage when it comes to charging speed with this 120 W solution versus the 90 WS of the PO F6 in our charging test the F6 Pro was able to charge from dead to full in just 27 minutes still the vanilla po F6 is pretty fast in its own right taking 37 minutes for a full charge and now on to the cameras the PO F6 has a 50 m main Cam and an 8 Map ultrawide There's a 20 megap selfie camera on the front the PO F6 Pro is similar it also has a 50 megap main Cam and an 8 map Ultra wide cam but there's also a 2 megap macro camera it selfie camera is 16 megapixel during the day the Poco F6 Pro's main cam produces photos that have excellent and relatively natural looking detail and vibrant colors the Poco F 6's detail isn't quite as organic and the colors are likable but don't pop as much much and when it comes to capturing people and faces the PO F6 Pro does an excellent job but the PO F6 is rendition includes s skin smoothing and whitening at night both the Poco F6 and po F6 Pro capture very good photos on either phone there's good highlight preservation and Shadow development and the detail and noise performance are good while both phones use what looks like the same Ultra wide camera we prefer the more colorful output of the PO F6 pro at night the results were from the ultra wide cameras have good dynamic range but they're quite soft and more so on the F6 is ultra wide both phones have very similar capabilities when it comes to video capture except that the pro model can record an 8K resolution at 24 FPS in 4K resolution the clips from both phones main cameras are solid with very good detail the F6 has the more natural looking color Edition the ultrawide camera's 1080p videos are so so the detail level isn't great even for this resolution [Music] here's a comparison of the Selfies taken with either phone and of course selfie videos as well so there you have it two nice Flagship Killers the PO F6 and the Poco F6 Pro the Poco F6 is of course the less expensive model but you get basically the same user experience plus there are a couple of other perks higher rated dest protection and Gorilla Glass vicus protecting the display of course the pro model brings benefits there's a glass back an aluminum frame and a higher res display the chipset is slightly more powerful the charging speed is a bit faster there's a hardware proximity sensor for calls and the photo quality has the edge as well but overall we would say that the PO F6 stands out as the better deal we did like the F6 Pro better but the advantages it brings aren't night and day
