PNPT + PCRP for Your Hacking Career

what's up everybody TCM here back with another video and today's video is going to be a short video on our new certification called the pcrp which is the Practical career ready professional now we launched this about a week ago and we've had some questions that I think it's probably easier to answer in a video format so this video is going to cover what the pcrp is and kind of what the options are around the pcrp so let's go ahead not waste any time no sponsors today none of that we're just going to dive into the pcrp and do a walkthrough of kind of what you get with the pcrp so let's take a look at that okay so if you come to our main website which I'll link below but this is certifications.tcm-sec.com you will see our website here we've got of course the pmpt which is a well-known Name by now uh we've got a pjmr certification by the way launching next week or the week after it should be by the end of the month so that's our malware researcher certification very excited for that but we have this Career Services package here and if you just click on that or if you scroll down by the way there is a pcrp area down there you can click on and this kind of gives you an overview of what you're getting here so this is on top of the pmpt so you can be pcrp certified without having your pmpt but it's actually part of the package and part of the program so what is the pcrp anyways well the pcrp is geared towards helping you with the soft skills in your career we have a lot of Technical Training out there the pmpt teaches you all kinds of forms of ethical hacking and the exam it trains you and teaches you and tests you on ethical hacking and that's great but a lot of times we get into the interview and we have issues with these soft skills we have issues with how to write a resume we have issues with how to find a job where do we find an employer how do we network with people and that's what the goal of the pcrp is so we have this curriculum that we put together and a lot of Milestones along the way now everything on here says three hours it's actually four hours of material so we gotta edit that a little bit but kind of what you get along the way with pcrp is this road map or this path so here's kind of what the path looks like you get a checklist to start and you get a lot of PDFs in this course and a lot of how to's and I'll kind of cover those and show you a little bit of what the course material and everything looks like but you start off with this checklist and your checklist is to go through the pcrp step by step so first and foremost you get a one-on-one coaching call with us right now there's three of us in the coaching call we talk to you we find out what are your career goals we answer any career questions that you have and we give you guidance on what the next step should be not just with the pcrp program but with your career in general from there you are tasked to go off and complete your pmpt coursework so you have your five courses here that you have to do this is standard for the p and PT and this package is something that if you purchase Standalone the pcrp you actually get all the training materials you get your two exam attempts you still earn your pmpt certification along the way it's just something that's an added benefit here so you go through the coursework you complete your pmbt exam you schedule your debrief you get your certification that's pretty standard a lot of you already know about this on top of this you actually get put into a cohort so this is kind of what the cohort looks like it's a place to ask questions talk to anybody have an opportunity to network with other people going through the same experience that you're going through so everybody in this cohort is going through the pcrp right now on top of that you have access to all of our staff you have access to our admins you have the ability to Ping us ask us questions and get direct feedback along the way which is incredibly valuable back into the checklist once you get your pmbt service notification actually once you submit your exam you are given a QA feedback of your exam so what that means is we will take your report that you give to us and we will actually mark it up as if we were looking at it to deliver to a client so it's incredibly valuable to say hey how was my report where did I miss things how can I improve and you get a really good detailed QA feedback of your report process so that's useful on top of that you actually have to submit a resume to us before you do that you have to complete the career services coursework let's take a look at what that looks like so here you have your soft skills for the job market and this curriculum starts off with communication so how do you communicate how do you write an email how do you be professional on the phone all those things these are very very important we cover all of those we cover resume writing a bunch of tips here we even talk about what to do what not to do in every single section of your resume because that's important because it comes back into play later we talk about applying to jobs where do you find jobs how do you apply to jobs how do you write a cover letter all those sorts of things we talk about interviewing how do you interview how do you pass an interview all of that's very very important we talk about standout skills how do you network how do you have a Blog how do you go to a conference all those sorts of things very important after you're all said and done with the course you actually have to write a resume so we'll talk about that here in a second but just to give you an example like we give you nice guides and videos and this is really well laid out like here's a resume tips guide that we have in here and we give a lot of this detail if we talk about like communication overview or any of these we click into the videos you get to see a lot of the the video the content the skills all those things we got Zach here on on 2xb because that's how I watch all my videos but there's a lot of information that's provided to you in this coursework not just videos but actually documents all those things along the way so once that's done you actually prepare and submit your resume for review what we do is we go through it we fine tooth comb QA leave you notes tell you where you can improve and once your resume is approved by us you actually get to go over to pastamentor.com and apply for a job with our company so if you haven't checked out pasta Mentor it's actually pretty funny I take no credit for this Zach did all this but why am I a chef uh if if you have any idea about the pmpt it's very pasta related if you haven't taken the pmpd yet then you're in for a treat but this just kind of keeps up with the theme of pasta essentially um in our exam theme so great job Zach on this but you come in here and you actually have a careers page you have to apply um from within the careers page here you you make your application you submit to us and we then go through and actually interview you so the last step of the checklist is to prepare and participate in your mock interview so you meet with members of our technical team and we interview you as if you were getting an interview for a job with our company when this is all said and done you become career ready certified and really what that means by that point is that you've gone through our Gauntlet of pests you've gone and passed the pmpt so you're technically ready you've gone through the coursework and training for the soft skills you've had career coaching you've had a cohort you've had the opportunity to have your resume reviewed you've had the opportunity to go through a mock interview and by the way the mock interview you get tons of feedback we all have guides that we when we were asking the questions we're writing down notes for you and everybody that's in that interview is providing you those notes back when it's all said and done you make it through your interview what we're saying is we're willing to hire you now we can't hire everybody but we're saying you are hirable and that is incredibly valuable to employers and that's where the other side of this comes in we actually have an employer Network that we're going to push you to and say hey we have this candidate if the employer Network's not interested that's okay we actually have a social media following of hundreds of thousands of people and we're going to push you there as well so we're going to make sure that we are pushing our qualified candidates to the right markets to the right companies and you're going to have direct contact with employers so this is something that we thought out and built out and we're wanting to provide all this value to the consumers to the people that are out there that have no idea where to learn these interview skills where to learn these career skills and no other course is teaching this right now no other certifications are out there doing this so we're kind of giving you a little bit of both worlds now if you're a pmbt already or you hold a pmpt voucher we're offering an upgrade through the end of February if you do not upgrade after February then it will be full price if you already hold a voucher we are discounting that down we're reducing the cost of 3.99 and so it would just be a 600 charge straight across the board I realize this pricing model is not for everybody from our standpoint we have a lot of people involved in the process we're pretty much breaking even on this this is more just geared towards making sure and helping those that are interested in getting into the field are able to do so again we realize that not everybody can afford this we have have more affordable training options but if you are somebody that is in a situation where you can't afford this it's reasonable and a lot more affordable than even a lot of the major certifications that are out there that are only teaching you technical skills so a lot of options there hopefully that makes sense this video is just to be informative and be transparent and clear about what the
