okay guys what you're looking at right now for the first second of this video is an average roblox avatar right now take a look at the future if you don't want this to happen to roblox avatars make sure to subscribe in the next five seconds to save roblox so roblox recently had something come out on twitter regarding the newer roblox avatars coming out soon with you know the layered clothing and everything all that looks pretty cool right this all comes from our good friends over at bloxy news which had an unlisted video recently uploaded to roblox's youtube channel shows off of both upcoming layered clothing and facial animation systems on avatars within the avatar editor this video is titled customizing a roblox avatar clothing and emotions this video has existed since july 23rd but it's only recently been unlisted and people can actually view this video and oh my god i have not seen something with just so much dismay from the roblox community like they got ratioed hardcore from this video dude this video is merely just a test of clothing like layered clothing you could see it on a roblox avatar of how it looks like and also it shows different facial expressions that you're going to be able to make with your roblox characters in the future and whatnot just showing like you know a shocked expression smiling neutral disgust that's how i feel right now watching this video you know this video isn't really the layered clothing part that's making people upset it's really whatever the hell is going on with this avatar in question like what is this what is this character that they're putting onto roblox or that they're testing around with this is bad and i can't even like you know sugarcoat it or pretend to act nice about it this is terrible and it does not fit roblox at all now to be fair i'm going off of like what uh max said maximum adhd on twitter saying they think it was more or less of a mock-up of wanting to be the end result and not a live prototype so this video really could just be seen as like a mock-up of what's to come and it should not be taken as literal but the comments bro there is nothing positive about this like you know you got scrims saying absolutely terrifying um why are we still here just to suffer trust me it's a bad idea we're not going until it's final ruben sim saying every day we stray further away from god's life but then you know there's some other people just repeating what i also said that this feature is optional yeah it was it's just a mock-up like i truly believe this video was a mock-up like it's not what roblox is 100 going to do but i can't tell if this is what they're going to do because i don't know what they're doing behind the scenes not even that long ago i made a pretty big video roblox's concerning problem where i talked about roblox heavily pushing for realism doesn't really make that much sense other than appealing to investors this is just rock bottom to me in terms of avatar customization or not custom hold up i'm not gonna show what i just saw but i definitely saw something interesting in this video even some other people in the roblox community are like i'm sorry for being arthro bad stereotype but this looks pretty awful it's an impressive technical wise and brand but community wise not as much again i am regurgitating again as terrifying as this might look um i do genuinely believe this is just a prototype and a test i don't believe this is something that will be live on the roblox website and if it is then uh they need to really reconsider their life choices because this is something i think um if it if it is something that does go live and isn't a prototype then they i don't really know what to say at this point i don't know i'm just trying to like have some reason in this discussion because like as scary as this might look i i don't think this isn't going to be something that's going to be like a real thing on roblox and this is something purposely done for a test it's ugly but i don't know i'm really trying to imagine roblox avatars with these facial expressions like how do you put this type of thing on a lego character would you be hitting the uncanny valley at that point those that are unaware is what the uncanny valley is in terms of anything it's when something looks too human-like to the point where it looks rather creepy this is definitely hitting the uncanny valley right now because like you know roblox's avatars evade that in general because you know they're blocky and they are able to totally bypass that by having a cartoony art style but how do you apply this to a roblox character i'm really honestly very curious to see what roblox does in the future with this type of thing so what i can really grasp from this video layer clothing is cool i don't think any of us can complain about layered clothing if you are then that's kind of dumb i think that's a good update but whatever they're doing with these animations and facial expressions and whatever the heck this avatar is in this video is pretty bad and i'm just hoping this is just a test so let me know your thoughts in the comments section as
