now I literally just turned around one day and he was at the ladder dude just so you know this is not something that I taught my dog that's why I set your own ladder up man so you want to go straight one nerve-wracking dude I'm in construction he's always wanting to be right there with me [Music] dude [Music] it definitely is nerve-wracking and scares the crap out of you [Music] I tried to make it to where he couldn't even get up the ladder and he would figure out how to get around it all right I'm not gonna head here there's something that he just decided to do on his own so what I decided to do is just try to make it as safe as possible for him he doesn't even really like heights the fact that he comes up there to be with me it is a huge trust factor between knucklehead and I when I first met knucklehead it was two weeks after I just lost a previous service dog I was riding down the road and a lady was broke down help her get a tire on she pulls a crate of puppies out of the back I've got PTSD from childhood trauma military service I was a combat medic there are times when I get down and depressed and he will literally come and make me get up next thing you know I forgot what I'm depressed about I used to be in here whenever I was gone he would be inside whining and crying that tour at my heart streams over and over that's kind of how it led into the motorcycle riding [Music] well I guess we've had it here we are on our very first practice run when he jumped right on there that's when I started doing some research and figured out this is really a thing there's a lot of people that ride with their animals and then I started just trying to figure out how to do it the safest way possible [Music] [Applause] he doesn't not ride with me anymore [Applause] but it's definitely the emotional spiritual journey with a dog who just wants to be there next to you touching me the whole time knucklehead is a fun-loving pit bull who's just out to make people smile and maybe they'll take that smile and take it back home with them ultimately that's all we got is each other thank you [Music]
