please stand now for our school songs first will be missing peaster followed by the bearcat marching band this is [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] this is pilot point bearcat football on pilotpointbearcats.com so we're gonna drop back and we're gonna throw a screen out to jaycox [Music] now to the booth with ryan menard and john little and we are live good evening bearcat fans this is pilot point bearcat football on potpointbearcats.com you're listening to uh what's going to be a bit of an abbreviated custom roofing and construction pre-game show tonight the pilot point bearcats open up district play against the piece to greyhounds here at the timeless massey stadium a few times a few times throughout the season i've mentioned breaking up the season into three parts well tonight we start the second part of the season with the kickoff to district play i'm ryan menard and joining me once again is the minister of 90s bearcat football john little and we're going to get some assists from terry slay on the pa tonight welcome john after a 2-1-1 start and a hard-fought loss against the very talented gunner tiger team what should we be looking forward today from the powerpoint bearcats against the 3-0 easter team yeah ryan i mean as far as what i expect from the uh bearcats tonight is uh i expect them to take their game to next level i mean we learned learned a lot about ourselves i think in the first three games particularly in that loss to stingy gunner tiger team last friday senior night out here so i'm expecting these seniors to come out and play with some passion led by max holler jay cox and avery smith and i expect basically a 180 from from last week i expect these guys to control the game and majority of the big plays go go in our favor and as terrell owens former cowboy would say get your popcorn ready but in this case let's get your pasta ready uh we're gonna have a new new video screen brought to you by next italian pasta so give them a call at 940-686-2520 and literally get your pasta ready for the game and watch us on uh on youtube bro yeah man this i turned on last night to the middle school game and it was like a whole a whole new broadcast here it was pretty neat yeah we stepped up our game yeah so on our to our first look at the peaster greyhounds pister started the season 3-0 with wins against venus alvord and collinsville and have outscored those opponents 94-35 this is peaster's first season of uil football offensively piecers offense is a spread offense and it's anchored by the running back sophomore number 21 tramar gilbert the offense will go as he goes tonight defensively we're looking at another defense that is anchored by another linebacker that loves to fly around the field and hit i'm john you have some more on uh number 40 jayden canon facts yeah jayden kennefact is senior 61 185 he's actually the first guy from peace it's really their second second year of varsity uh football and first year in the uil he's he's the only guy from peace driver to get a college offer and he's got an offer from east texas baptist university he's going to remind you of leighton van der ash or mike alstott he's got the big douglas butterfly restrictor collar coming out of the back of his pads let's get the coin flip here see if we can hear it flip this up i'm not getting any i'm not getting any feedback from the mic we had a mic out there but we'll move on so now on the custom roofing and construction pre-game show john you got some more pistol players to watch yeah of course the quarterback uh i believe this is coach's son it's it's gunnar um he's gonna throw the ball he's a capable runner uh so look for him and also uh as you mentioned the running back is trademark gilbert number 21 he's a sophomore 6-2 200 big powerful back kind of reminds you of bam bam morris back in the day texas tech former texas tech all-american from cooper texas has played many years in nfl he's a big big physical punishing runner the bearcats have a big challenge in front of them today with a 3-0 piecer team looking to make a name for themselves also the start of district play so we won the first district championship in a decade last year trying to build upon that this year and i think we have a team that can do it this year john i really do um you have a couple keys to victory for us today yeah real quick number three ron he's a victory that's my quarterback as uh tara owen said again um i'm so looking for max howard to come out have a great game and he's going to be battling against piecers uh gunner mcelroy um on offense and defense they both play defensive back as well and then number two number two is be the hammer and not the nail so we're gonna have to we're gonna have to tackle uh trademark gilbert and jaden canofax they're big big physical backs we have to have to bring them down and then uh number one key to the game is this is the end by the doors uh so by ends i mean uh defensive end split ends i know uh coach coach marsh on the on the bearcat podcast uh insider he said you know he wasn't happy with that with his performance he mark of a good coach he took all the blame uh for last week it certainly wasn't wasn't any in particular anybody's fault but uh he showed a good good wherewithal from a coach to take all the blame another credit because players get all the credit whenever they win so looking for these defensive ends in particular uh aidan and jay cox i think jay cox really has a night tonight and i look for him to go for multiple touchdowns and i'm calling him player of the game we'll see yeah well the defensive ends are going to have to work tonight because when peter does put the ball in the air they like to go side to side but we are going to take a quick break here for the national anthem when we get back we'll have a few numbers for you and we'll be ready for the southern junkies kickoff here on bearcat football brought to you by the speed of light broadband texas lord keep our guys safe and keep peaceful greyhounds safe tonight their father getting kevin mercy's going back home thank you for protecting us and loving us it's in your name we pray amen [Music] whose brush stripes and [Music] [Music] was still there oh say does that star spangled [Applause] [Music] what a beautiful rendition right there i wasn't expecting the live singers so it was really really nice to hear though that was great well the national anthem has ended the teams are getting ready to take the field but i have a few numbers tonight so it's 80 degrees here at kickoff and it is crystal clear it is beautiful weather this is powerpoint's first ever matchup versus easter greyhounds and it is a district match-up pilot point is opening district play tonight looking to build off their first district title and um you know they won the district last year but that was the first time in a decade so it'd be nice to string a few of those together this year but i didn't catch and see who was going to who won and lost the coin toss but it does look like peaster is going to be set up to return the southern junkies opening kickoff give the defense a chance to show out early again this is pister's first ever first uh first season in uil so tell me uh you told me pregame number 21 tomorrow gilbert did he take back the opening kickoff against collinsville for a touchdown yeah i believe that might have been open to kickoff of their season so wow i would certainly not kick it to the up backs uh jaden can affect looks to be the other up back on on the far side so if i had my brothers i'd kick this one deep yeah you can probably see on the camera piece just got five in the front line about 20 yards behind that they've got three more and then another 20 yards behind that they've got three more so this is a bit of an interesting kickoff return formation as always for the bearcats number 22 hole ganzer's got it teed up to kick and max holler is going to give his teammates a signal when it's when we're ready to roll so here comes the southern junkie kickoff bearcat band is pumping some energy and uh i'm ready to kick off this season's district play kick is up right down the middle falls in a bit of a bad area but it is fielded at the 20. caught up right up the middle bearcat coverage team there doesn't get to him immediately but eventually they're going to gang up and bring him down at the 40 yard line so it looks like piece is going to get the ball first and 10 right around their own 40-yard line so um we're going to get to see quarterback number 10 gunner mcelroy for the easter greyhounds and he's running his main running back is number 40 jayden canafax and their main target their main weapon that they really like to use is number 21 tramar gilbert so it is a spread formation they mix up some shotgun and some pistol right here they're in a shotgun formation two receivers left one right powerpoint defense in position ready to go openings after games taken it's handed off it's a fake hand off and they're gonna get some pressure and we're sacked it looks like number five jay cox there it is gets there and causes the the pressure and makes the sack for the bearcats troy tincher was there and aiden cox is there so that was kind of a group of bearcats there yeah good start good pressure there they like to throw the ball around here with their quarterback so that was a good start for the bearcats yeah hey trying to get a defensive back in position everybody's ready takes a snap look it's gonna be a quarterback draw right off the middle and jay cox is going to bring him down immediately again that that's going to be another one-yard loss jay cox hey you talked about it pre-game the defensive ends needing to play better this week and here we go yeah i'm trying to i was trying to call it i'm giving him player of the game i think he's going to get it we will see by the end of the night but he's got a good start that's for sure yeah i misspoke a little he's not playing defenseman he's playing backer but he's he's getting in the backfield so quickly it's kind of it's pretty impressive but here we go third 15 for pister two receivers left fullback next to quarterback and running back behind third down they're going to look to pass they throw it out into the flats there's a man here with some space it was third and 15 and they got about 13 there so what could have been an easy punt situation now is a fourth and two and piece is going to make the decision you have a good good open field tackle by avery smith right there if he misses that they definitely get an easy first down way to break down and make that tackle you know there was no one no one really else left there on that side of the field bistro looks like they've changed personnel and they're in a pump formation but it is only two yards kind of at the middle of the field so i would be i would be ready for anything if i was the powerpoint defense they don't even have a guy back to return i know if this i know what the cowboys would do if this was the cowboys avery smith's gonna go back late they've got everybody covered piece just gonna take the snap and they are gonna punt it down the field kind of away from everyone to the right sideline get away from it get away from it started rolling to roll them towards tristan truenbach there and he was he high stepped away from it flirting with danger that's right three now for the bearcats to start the game i think we talked about i forget which else call was ryan back in uh 2009 2010 or whatever but uh ours was fire you know get away from that get away from that thing the bearcats ready for their first possession of the game here in ernesto's fine mexican restaurant first quarter and after a three and out by the defense let's get some early momentum and go get some points already a better start than what we had to the uh to the gunner game last week yep that's true so max aller trips right with this harris also does right one receiver left takes the snap drop break to pass throws it to jay cox in the flat he's going to catch it try to make a man miss the first guy can't bring him down here jay cox is going to run he's going to get up to midfield he's one man to beat the man can't bring him down but slows him down just enough to bring him down across the 40-yard line so we go from the 23 of the bearcats to the 36 of the eastern greyhounds for our first iric real estate first down in the first quarter that's a risky move to reverse field like that yeah really jay's making me look good on my my pre-game call for sure he's at a heck of a start same formation trips right one receiver left is harris next to max haller first snap is a handoff and ish slips and he ended up going down to a knee before he recovered so unfortunately it's gonna be a two-yard loss in the first down for ish harris yeah it looked like he just lost his foot and put it kind of put his hand down but uh his knee is knee touched at the same time so negative two yards on that play but here we go looking to rebound still on the piece to greyhound side of the field it's going to be second and 12 from the 38 yard line max holler in the backfield trips right and harris motions out of the backfield empty set for max holler back to pass looking down the field plenty of time he's looking he's going to run makes a man miss he's going to get across the 30 down to the 25 before he gets out at the 20-yard line that's another irish real estate first down it looks like uh 20 20 yards on the play 23 yards maybe there yeah it looks like he got about 15 after what would have been first contact he just juked the guy you know he's like slippery every week he's so slippery yeah doesn't look to be running that fast and he just guys have trouble gauging the speed he's actually running and staying in front of when he makes a move so the bearcat's gonna have the ball first and ten at the 20-yard line in the point bank red zone here early in the first quarter two receivers left two receivers right for max holler takes the snap jet sweep to jay cox he's gonna pick up a block cut it inside and it's a good tough run it looks like it's only gonna be one or two yard line or one or two yards on the carry yeah they turned turning back inside and a host of pistol greyhounds were there to meet him so only like i said a couple yards on that so we're gonna have second nine at the 19 yard line bearcats looking over to coach marshall's given the signals we're gonna have trips left one receiver right ish harris next to max holler in the backfield it's looking over avery smith he looks like he's got one poor angle on the throne i don't know if it was a bad angle on the route of the throw but couldn't get it connected there but they liked what they had uh i'm pretty old ryan but i still have some cornerback instincts from back in my days i saw it i saw max look over at him he had wide split i thought i thought the slant was coming it was there when they're in the same formation play referees are going to blow the whistle i think they're going to blow that one early because they might have thought that the defense is going to get right to max yeah mate i think they might have made contact early as well saved them saved them from taking an unnecessary hit gonna benefit five yards and take what would have been a third nine to about a third and four at the 14 yard line here in the point bank red zone change the formations a bit here aidan cox and aston kirby receivers out to the left jay cox and avery smith receivers out to the right with max holler in the backfield with this harris third and four that's all it takes to snap and it's going to be a fake handoff quarterback keeper middle max will printing touchdown 14 yards by max holler punctuating which has been a very impressive start for the bearcats in district play yeah that's that's a great start three and out and drove to lincoln field and and punched it in good job by the bearcats here on senior night matt going for two here on the knicks tightening extra point got the swinging gate it's gonna be a speed option to the right but jay cox is gonna not be on the same page as his brother aiden in the end zone so the next italian two-point conversion is no good but here we go laura bradley scoreboard check 808 left in the first quarter your pilot point bearcat six the pistol greyhound zero that's the start we wanted we got a three and out we got a good drive it results in a pilot point pels a printing touchdown set to tone early i like it we moved positions in the press box tonight and now we're on the top shelf right underneath the pa speaker but we have open windows here so uh maybe one maybe one of these cheerleaders has the arm to get us one of the balls that we throw during the touchdowns i think they i think they will they were pretty close on that one we'll try to wave one down at some point hopefully we have a lot more targets let them know we're open so the chandler cabinet scoring drive summary five plays 77 yards punctuated by a 14-yard run by quarterback max holler and uh this is like i said this is the start that we wanted and um couldn't couldn't ask for something better besides maybe connected on that two-point conversion there yeah absolutely you want to get it you want to get a lead on these guys we've seen their roster they're not they're not real deep they've only got like 25 kids listed on the entire roster so like i said if we can set the tone the entire game kind of like gunner it seemed like we were chasing gunner from behind the entire game last last week and we'll be in good shape i was surprised with how much peter tried to throw the ball a lot of times which we saw especially with gunner um last week is when they have a small roster they like to keep the clock moving short in the game some keep everybody as fresh as possible easter came out firing they want to throw the football yeah they run a completely different offense for sure they're a lot more spread so the kickoff is fielded and ran out of bounds by number two zayn o'donnell he's one of the quarterbacks uh favorite options from what i saw on film right so it looked for him to throw him in the ball quite a bit all right well here we go piece to start roy and at quarterback with number 21 jamar gilbert behind him and the snap is handed to jamar gilbert up the middle and two bearcats there pinch down and make the immediate tackle looked like the defensive ends there number two number two troy tincher and number one aiden cox in on the tackle there for no gains good gang tackling by the bearcats second and ten here two receivers right one left for the greyhounds gunner mcelroy wait takes the snap and it's gonna be a hat now it's gonna be quarterback keep up the middle but either whether he kept it or handed it there's nowhere to go yeah the bearcat front seven looks like they came to play today i like it [Applause] well here we go third and ten we had them the third long last drive right up a big play they decide to punt anyway so let's try to do better this time gunner's piece is going to line up with two two running backs two receivers right takes the snap and it's gonna be a fake handoff roll out right aidan cox is gonna bring down gunner mcelroy for a huge loss on the sack back all the way to the 15-yard line that's negative 15-yard oh they're gonna give them forward progress with 19. still 11-yard loss they're on their j uh on the quarterback it's really disrupted their passing game both the brothers with a sack so far and this piece is lining up to punt and this one's a little less uh less tricky than last time we're pretty sure smith number 15 back for the bearcats to return good snap punter fields it and he punts it he gets it off low line drive avery smith's going to let watch it bounce and it's going to take a bounce out of bounds it looks like he's going to bounce out of bounds at the po point 40 and we're going to take a quick moment and listen to a word from our sponsors dance care veterinary hospital pilot point has been caring for animals around the pilot point area for the past 30 years large and small pets can expect a quality experience unmatched by other clinics advanced care veterinary hospital of california offers all the services you expect from your veterinarian they provide preventative care which includes vaccinations fleet tick and heartworm prevention they also provide sick animal care surgical and dental needs with their full service lineup good luck to the bearcats this season from advanced care veterinary hospital pilot point where pets are family and we're back here on the broadcast in the ernesto spine mexican restaurant first quarter bearcats take the ball first and 10 at their own 40 in the first play looked to be a screen pass out to number 4k carter and they couldn't connect so the bearcats incomplete on first down and here we are second and 10 at their own 40. um 2-3 an ounce with their defense and this is the second time on offense trying to match the first time yeah we want to want to punch another one in here and keep this momentum going max holler two receivers right two running backs with him he drops straight back to pass being pressured steps up in the pocket slung down and he just couldn't get away from the grip of number 70. tyler stageman for the gunner great or for the greyhounds on the sack there looks like there's some whistles being blown some pointing what's going on the clock is stopped trying to see exactly what's going on i didn't see a penalty flag but referees have blown the whistle dead and everybody's looking around like there's going to be a call of some sort max holler didn't really seem to be two-faced by the pressure thought he was going to be able to step up and step through it and number 70 stageman for a piece or just wouldn't let him through it yeah he just grabbed him by the shoulder pads and would like wouldn't let go max thought he was going to get out of it like he normally does so there was a penalty on the bearcats i'm not entirely i'm pretty well versed in my in my penalty signals i don't know what that one was i don't know but it was declined anyways because of a a really long sack so it's going to be about third and 19 for the bearcats here at their own 20 or 31 yard be nice to get a chunk back on this max holler has trips right ish harris off to his right away and ultimately he sacked again couldn't get away from number 21 tremar gilbert outside linebacker coming from holler's blindside yeah it was a nice play by uh trey mark gilbert uh good pursuit from the back side all the way to bring bring max down it looked like holler felt the pressure was just trying to run away gilbert was just a little bit quicker than he was hey protected the ball didn't fumble so we're going to live to fight another day and get the put this one punted away but that's not the drive we wanted to see after a second three now no he wanted to extend to extend the lead but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen so aidan cox the punter so he's back good snap fielded well and it's punted right down the middle this is a good punt mcdonald back to catch it he catches it at the 35 and he runs right up the middle and he's going to have some room bounces to the outside across the 50 before he's pushed out of bounds and i don't think we actually made contact they're throwing a it's going to be a late hit on pilot point i think two bear cats hit each other and didn't actually hit the runner it doesn't matter what i saw it looks like they're going to mark 15 yards after the return here's some scores for you yeah it looks like 287 on the bearcats doze offers the freshest and most authentic flavors that you can only find in best mexican cuisine dine in or if you prefer curbside service call uncle betos at 940 686-0143 and order your food to go be sure to make uncle beto as a part of your game night routine bearcats and back to action here 4 56 left in the first quarter 5.6 piece or nothing but pizza has great field position looking to throw a slat round on the right side aston kirby there it is all year he's been an excellent coverage and not been able to defend the passes there that one finally gets one knocked down yeah that was good coverage yeah it was just great coverage that's where he's been most no most plays this year just hadn't been able to bat it down but the slant's a little easier than the go round huh second ten for the greyhounds gunner mcroy back to pass looking left throws a go deep down the sideline ish harris i don't think he was really looking where his man was at man had some space but it wasn't quite a good enough throw so it's going to be third and 10. yeah we're fortunate there number 11 hank morris uh sophomore wide receiver wasn't really committed he could feed a dove and try to make a catch there he had it he had an opportunity well i'm not the only one that didn't think ish had a whole lot of effort on that his mom is a very if you can hear down here in the stands she didn't think the effort was up to her standard either i love seeing that third and ten for the greyhounds here nobody's happy that's right gunnar mcelroy takes a snap hands it off left going to the left side there's some room wiggling around that was number three on the carry cole tears and he's not gonna get enough for the first down but it is gonna be fourth and three for the greyhounds and this is definitely an area where they're gonna go for it yeah they don't have the greatest uh kicking game in the world from what i saw on film ryan style offense but hopefully the same result supports the two going with the hard count trying to get us to jump nobody jumped two receivers right two left pieces looking to convert a first oh man slant round big hit by number 12 max holler lodges the ball loose from receiver who had to catch our first down and that is going to be a twin city turnover on downs for the bearcats it looked like he was open right he was wide open max kind of killed off his coverage and and hit him on the shoulder perfectly to dislodge that ball that might have been the problem for the receiver though he might have thought there's nobody around i'm wide open max holler comes in and lays it lays the hammer on it being the hammer not the nail there that's what it's all about so hey that's another that's another three and out basically they forward four attempts to get the first down couldn't do it the bearcats yet to allow a first down here in the first quarter i think we're going to put together a drive right here right going under center avery or jay jay cox is the full back ish harris is the running back snap dive right to ish harris he makes i can't get away number 70. tyler stageman for the greyhounds he's a really small defensive lineman but that's two two guys are hard to tackle that he's got his hands on so far and they couldn't get away from him yeah he looked like he got in the backfield untouched basically and made it made a nice tackle around the shoulder pads kind of arm tackle grabbed his jersey but what didn't let go he hangs on for dear life one yard loss on the carry for ish hair so here we go second 11 from their own 22-yard line we've got jaycox and ish harris in the backfield with max holler two receivers right one left snap quarterback keep maxillar's going to try to bounce it and there's just there's nowhere to go and uh all that that he said he gets that fumble i think he's down though he gets all the way back to the original line of scrimmage i think that's a that's a bug there i think he was looking for the big play he had a lane it wasn't a big lane mighty got two or three instead tries to balance it outside and ultimately had to fight to get back to the line of scrimmage yeah do you think he should have kept that to begin with ish harris was tackled by the number seven stages and that was part of the reason uh max couldn't get around as if she was being tackled so here we go third and eleven here three minutes and counting in the ernestos fine mexican food restaurant first quarter once again two backs with max holler one receiver right two receivers left max takes a snap roll out left looking down the field the pass has time delivers a ball and that's going to be caught just past the sticks by number one aidan cox and i don't think they're going to give him forward progress i thought he caught the ball past the sticks but they're actually marking them down one yard shy of the iris real estate first down and uh where's our spotter from that gunner game that would have been first down well or it would have been four yards to go instead of one you know you never know how it looks like they're going for it under center quarterback sneak from max holler not much movement but he gets just enough well looks from up here he got just enough we'll see where it's marked the line judge on the powerpoint sideline looks like he's going to have enough real estate first down for the bearcats and we're rolling so here we go that ball is going to be placed at the 33-yard line of the bearcats getting their calls two minutes and eight and counting here in the ernesto's first quarter it looks like max max's second effort really got us that first down yeah not much movement right actually between the guards but he was able to bounce it more towards the right and find it to find a couple yards he needed ish harris to max left one receiver right two receivers left max takes a snap hands off keeps it up the middle and he's gonna have some space breaks a tackle and it carries a man across into piece of greyhound territory big run from the 33 to the 42. that's a 20 25 yards there for max holler right up the middle for an hour of real estate first down for max holler and these piecer greyhounds they like to tackle up around the shoulder pads they're they're skirting with you know the horse caller tackle we'll go first and ten for the bearcats in greyhound territory max holler he shares to his left song takes a snap hands off dish harrison harris immediately sidesteps a tackle but there's a couple other greyhounds there after he gets back the line of scrimmage he's gonna get plus one just because he's a tough runner but wasn't a whole lot of room there there was nothing there easter [Music] mark gilbert on the tackle let's remind everybody listen to bearcat football brought to you by speed of light broadband hooked us up with wi-fi here in the booth at massive stadium allow us to bring you this broadcast under a minute to go into ernesto's first quarter and powerpoint looks like we're going to try to get one more play in before the quarter ends we have to run at least one more play out play clark's down [Applause] [Music] the left side and he just cuts it up seam right between the hash marks all the way for a pencil printing touchdown yeah good run by max's second or third long run of the day for him uh he's got to appreciate this versus uh stingy gunner defense up the middle he's finding some holes swinging gate here we are going to attempt two on the next italian extra point snap to max holler rolls out right speed option pistol jay cox jay cox is going to fake the throw he's ultimately going to throw it to the greyhounds in the end zone but it does incomplete yeah incomplete nick's italian two-point attempt is no good there we're going to go to a quick commercial break from our sponsors bot family dentistry bring you the chandler cabinet scoring drive uh if i remember right this is our second 77 yard touchdown drive of the day this one was done in seven plays punctuated by a 42 yard touchdown run by max haller for the pulse of printing touchdown the first touchdown drive we took two minutes off the clock that one was a little bit more on what this offense seems to call ball control three and a half minute drive there for the touchdown yeah let's give some credit to uh somebody's senior offensive lineman number 68 caleb holloway number 72 colin haynes number 77 jacob scott they're doing it doing a heck of a job obviously opening up some holes for for max when you get 40 yards up the middle untouched for a touchdown yeah you got to got to give those guys some credit hello gams are teed up for the southern junkies kickoff here for the bearcats approaches and he's going to kick it's going to be a pooch and it's going to be fair caught by gilbert gilbert that should be a penalty he definitely made the signal and then immediately caught it and started trying to run coach coach davis asking for it they did get the penalty so that is an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty i think i think it's gonna be 15 yards oh and he just threw the ball at the referee i don't think it was out of anger i think he was throwing the ball to him right as their umpire looked away but it definitely hit the umpire right in the arm so i'm glad the umpire looked at it and recognized it probably was not a spike on it unintentional well advanced care offsetting penalties apparently the bearcats ended up offsides there so the the false fair catch doesn't matter we're going to line up and do this again so i would not i would suggest we don't kick it to trademark gilbert again he's you know he's a running back and he's a big kid yeah i think he realized the error of his ways when he called that fair catch a little early and then he realized he had a lot of running room in front of him yeah initial instinct on a high arcing kick like that is called fair catch protectors but yeah when he looked down and saw much room he had and he took off teed up again it's going to happen from the 40 yard line again so we're gonna get another southern junkie kickoff here trying to stay on each kick he's running gilbert does catch it doesn't fair catch it and he's gonna be a hard man attack reverses field all the way to the other side trying to bring him down he's a big kid to bring down finally ultimately push him out of bounds on the other side of the field across the 50-yard line but uh 21 definitely delivered the hit there at the end for going out of bounds he did i mean at least uh maybe we took a little bit out of him because i'm sure he's going to get the ball a couple more times this drive [Applause] yep so here we go first and ten for the piece to greyhounds on the bearcat side of the field the bearcat 48 yet to get a first down so far for pister but you know they're looking they're looking to get their offense going here takes a snap roll out left and it looked like it was a speed option type look but the quarterback number ten gunner mcelroy decides to keep it up the middle for about four three yards on the carry so it's gonna be second and seven looks like they're going a little bit more power they got jaden canefacts a big number 40 in the backfield along at fullback along with cherry mark gilbert well trayvon gilbert is a big kid i'm surprised i haven't seen him hand them the football a little more so far here we go pistol formation that ball there it is hand off to gilbert and he just lowers his head and barrels over some guys and he's gonna get six of the seven needed but it is gonna be a third and one for the bearcats yeah i think he's one of those big backs ryan you wanna you wanna hit him before he gets going that's right that's gonna be the end of ernesto's mexican mexican restaurant first quarter and we're gonna take a break and hear from our sponsors action ethically and responsibly you can find iric real estate at pilotpoint.com or feel free to call me directly at 940-300-6900 irik real estate serving the area since 1952. i'm excellence so back to bearcat football we're going to start the second quarter of the sixth in mango second quarter with the travis irick out of town scoreboard yeah ryan boyd's up 21-7 over paradise uh started second quarter pondering whitesboro are scoreless zeros and uh brock is up 7-0 on bowie 11 minutes left in the second quarter so on the third and one they do hand the ball right up the middle to tamar gilbert didn't have a whole lot of room but it looks like he's going to get just enough for the first down by maybe a half yard 11. so the six in mango starts with a one yard carry by jamar gilbert for a greyhound first down at their first first down of the game and they're at the powerpoint bearcat 38-yard line here with their first down getting gilbert more involved in the offense yeah now they're going to say that going deep ass and currying coverage goes up oh man oh i didn't feel like i'm up here so that looks like it's going to be an advanced caravan hospital penalty on aston kirby he just can't get a break this year he's done such a good job always in good position mix of bad calls no calls yeah i thought he was in great position there it looked like he's he's trying to play the ball yeah almost in position to intercept it maybe it was contact earlier than what we what we saw sure the viewers at home can use this mighty fine camera we got by that with the help of nick's italian make their own determination and see that that's not just us being homers that looked like it was a pretty poor call there advanced care vet hospital penalty there 13-yard or 23-yard line 23-yard line for the greyhound 23-yard line for the great house general mcroy takes a snap drops straight back to pass looking left pockets collapsing and we're gonna get him sacked from his left side which was uh let's take come from number five jay cox microwave another sack by number five jay cox and he was helped out there big 78. 78k in holloway yep yep wheeler wheeler was in on that and then i thought there was a few guys in on that sack there that's our third sack here in the first half so better macaroni at quarterback for the greyhounds drops back to pass he's gonna throw it quickly nobody nobody's really looking for the pass goes to an area nobody nowhere so it's gonna be third and twelve here their undersized lineman switched it up on us there did you see them they all cut block every one of them tristan true troubanbach there and had his back to the ball or he the ball was kind of thrown to him he had turned around he might have caught the ball here we go it's gonna be third and twelve for the greyhounds best best field position they've had all day one receiver left one receiver right that looks like they have two tight ends on the right side of the formation with tamar gilbert in the backfield it's going to be a speed option to the right gunner macro is going to keep it but nowhere to go number 47 jacob dane the first bearcat player to make the tackle and he's going to get some help by number 62 aaron strip matter aaron strip matters playing some defensive end on that side and uh he's played out so far he's played pretty well yeah he really has i thought the defensive ends would would respond to coach marsh uh coaching him up this week they have so far bearcats here force them into a fourth and long it's kind of too far to too close to punt too far to kick it so they're gonna they're gonna air the ball out here i'm sure on third and 14. trips left for the greyhounds one receiver right we got the one on one with a little bit of safety help for the aston kirby he's gonna be a fake hand-off and the court mackerel is gonna fake the run looking down the field of throw he throws the ball deep and see you call the interference on aston earlier and this time he's clearly pushed off on and nobody calls it he cannot catch a word kid can't catch a break caden dewer on the catch on the fourth and long for the greyhounds ashton right where he needed to be the kid clearly pushed off of him to create the space and we don't get to get the flag i think he must have done something to upset that official it's the same official there and the quarterback had a lot of time for that play to develop first and goal for the greyhounds conor mcroy takes the snap looks like he's going to give it to tramar gilbert who makes a man miss and he's a loaded bring down he's going to carry him all the way down to the one he's a hoss he's a hoss greyhounds are threatening here with ten minutes to go here in the sixth and mango second quarter they've got the ball second and goal from the one jacob dame coming out he's feeling it after that tackle yeah looks like he might have got a charlie horse but let's see if they go back to him here he's a quarterback power up the middle they're going to call a timeout maybe they saw him limping and wanting to give him a moment to get a breather let him recuperate so that's an uppercut granite time out here we're gonna go to a word from our sponsor real quick hey bearcat fans living in north texas you know all about bad weather when bad weather does strike look no further than james floyd's custom roofing and construction custom roofing and construction has built their business off of quality work and customer referrals let their friendly and knowledgeable staff ensure the project runs smoothly from start to finish you can visit custom roofing and construction on their website customroofingdallas.com or give them a call at 214-274-8353 and we're back bearcat fans 9 45 remaining and the six and mango second quarter piece just gonna have the ball second and goal from the one yard line and i would just look for the simple dive to tramar gilbert right up there he's a big kid hard to bring down yeah just depends on how bad he's he's injured or hurt there he's still limping a little bit ryan i don't know yeah that's been pretty unsuccessful bearcats have been bottling that up gunner the quarterback gunner mcroy has kept that every time and it's just really got no game for him rule number two zane o'donnell's in the backfield with him as well he's he's a little scat back yeah i'd definitely give the ball number 21 right here and it's going to be that's one of the plays that you kind of call though they're going to run that speed option but mcroy keeps it again with nowhere really to go yeah i wonder if they'll if they'll run the same play here because again i don't know if if trey mars if he's 100 or not here we go two running backs next to better mcelroy two receivers right mcilroy takes the snap dives to treymar gilbert up the middle and he puts his head down not much vision on the run but doesn't need to when you're that close stick your head down and get in there yeah he's he's a load to bring down you know 6-2 around 200 pounds so he gets going downhill and you don't get him in the backfield and it's tough to get him for negative yardage plays or even even he's reminds me kind of a zeke at a much lower level and he sticks his head down he may not go for many yards but you're not gonna stop him for a loss yes man zeke laid out somebody at the goal line oh that was beautiful jaden canofax kicking the extra point for the greyhounds snap is good hold kick it's toe punch looks like it goes right through the middle take a break for our sponsors but it's going to be your powerpoint bearcats 12. the piece to greyhounds established in 2004 ernesto's fine mexican food has continued preserving its original home style cooking and pilotpointbearcats.com the bearcat football brought to you by speedlight broadband at the chandler cabinet scoring drive summary 10 plays 48 yards with the one yard touchdown run by tramar gilbert there to get the greyhounds on the board yeah give him credit they put together a nice little drive right there and they were the benefit of a bogus pass interference and then we didn't get the benefit of a real pass interference but what can you do no you know what can you do the ball is teed up number 40 jake and canifax kicking it for pistol he approaches it he's going to toe punch it low and kind of tailing to the right but it's caught it's going to be your turn crossing the field going to try to eventually turn it up avery smith he gets all the way to the bearcat sideline turns up picks up the block cuts it back towards the middle tackle drive dragging a guy who needs to just go down carries a big pile all the way to about the 43-yard line looks like there was a big hit late number 70. he's been causing the bearcats some pain here looks like to be in pain himself we're going to go to a commercial break along with the selection of quality healthcare products when you use texas scott walker insurance agency always there to help number 70 tyler cup stage coverage he was able to get up walk off on his own powers here we go bearcats starting another drive and hit the fourth drive of the game here first and ten at their own 42-yard line yeah you'd like to see them respond here up 12-7 put our own put our own drive together right here to get some more points on the board laura bradley scoreboard check 859 remaining in the second quarter first play is going to be a fake handoff max holler up the middle with more oh where's the shoulder one's over a safety and finally brought down by the shoelaces before a big carry there lower the shoulder ran over the safety yeah big game that's an irish real estate first down for the powerpoint bearcats and we're already into easter greyhound territory another another hole you could drive a truck through right up the middle that's where the you know which looks like we're going to stretch the stretch to run the outside our outside run game hasn't really been there but max holler keeping it up the middle has been big for so far so max hawk takes the snap he's looking and gets out to jay cox in the flight jaycox can't get the block and a couple a couple greyhounds there making the tackle and coming in at the end of the play and cleaning up is number 72 colin haynes putting a big hit in on a on a on a greyhound it was just standing around watching i like 72 man he's one of my favorite blockers out there i remember watching him last year he can hit you he's standing around a pile just watching unable to get hit right might as well bearcats going to have the ball second five two receivers left one receiver's right ish harris up the middle it's a run up the middle bounces to the outside but brought down once again by the shoelaces by number 40 jayden canopax yeah kennefacts didn't trip up right there i think he was gone he had a head of steam that's right that's an iron real estate first down and we're going to be at the bear at the greyhound 23 yard line looking over the side punt looks like we're gonna have trips left aidan cox is gonna be the tight end on the right side no receiver right max holler ish harris in the backfield maybe we'll see has addison kirby score here's and this is going to be another run right up the middle max holler bounces off the right they're not going to catch him max hauler's going to stroll in for another pelzer printing touchdown and max has got to be on pace for 200 plus tonight man every time he meets the ball it's a big game every time he runs the ball it's a big gain and that just seems to be i mean i don't know why we don't just call that max holler big touchdown run every player so we're over offered two so far on the swinging gate but uh nick's italian two-point conversion going here max holler and jay cox waiting for the snap take the snap roll out right and it's gonna be thrown and this time we're gonna convert jay cox to number one aidan cox and the knicks italian two-point conversion is good and we're gonna go to a quick break using transactions feel free to call or text for all your real estate needs at 940-390-3911 bradley scoreboard check 727 remaining in the sixth and mango second drive four plays 58 yards punctuated by 23 yard puzzle printing touchdowns once again by number 12 max holler having himself a day yeah he is and uh jay cox gonna have to pick it up to be my player of the game because right now max southern junkies kick off pooch kick by between two hole against her cut fielded on the run by mcdonald mcdonald finds the hole bounces it to the pizza sideline before the gang of bearcats are able to bring him down around the 40. number two zane o'donnell i think i call the mcdonald's oh donald 47. but bearcats make a tackle at the the greyhound 41. i've happened to be the last drive so let's see him respond to what happened to him last drive yeah i think we will they were like i said they were fortunate to get you know a couple of couple past interference calls or whatever so to help them move the ball last drive yeah the one call and the one no call both went their way so here we go two receivers left two right for the greyhound snap handoff to 21 tomorrow gilbert bearcats immediately there to get him but he's allowed to bring down so he carries a pile about a yard and a half and they're going to rule his forward progress down before ish harris comes out of the pile with the football so two yards there by tremor gilbert on first down gonna lead to a second and eight yeah looked like coach freeze had a perfect little uh run blitz called there jacob dane was filling the gap over here on the short side and really messed blew up their play in the backfield and they got a balance formation here two receivers left two receivers right one quarterback with chamorro gilbert next to him snap is taken and it looks to be another dive but lately late pulled out by macro the quarter first down that was a late pull they do that too many times the ball is going to be on the yeah they're gonna they're gonna end up fumbling that we're gonna get a twin city turnover if they keep that up yeah that was a late pull he's gotta make up his mind a little quicker balance formation gunner mcelroy and jamar gilbert in the backfield for the greyhounds that bearcat those defensive ends aren't having the same effect they were early this one goes right at the left side jamar gilbert kind of gets around the corner and then just looks to hit somebody puts his head down gets two yards again on first down have a good job getting penetration there didn't let him get get a full head of steam and he only got you know two three yards and it was uh it was tough running for him stroke is scraping across and help him make the tackle number 47 jacob dane here we go second nate and the greyhounds gunner mcelroy takes the snap and he's gonna drop back to pass he's gonna throw a hot pass right kind of down the seam to number four jayden k kennefacts inside deep inside bearcat territory to about the 26 yard line and uh he's got good hands for for a guy looks like mike alstott he can catch the ball yeah yeah right down the seam not much room so gonna macro he did a good job putting it on them bearcats make some subs first and ten at throwing 26. it's going to be a handoff up the middle to tomorrow and jamar is going to make his way for about six yards there on first down make it second and four tackles look like dorian sirocco on a tackle here i like getting his number called quite a few more times here that means you know he's being more active in a little linebacker spot making most all the tackles between between the tackles so he's cleaning up doing the job of middle linebacker on that play gunner mcelroy pulls it on the zone read and he's going to get inside the five yard line defensive ends crashed hard and immediately took out jamar gilbert pagano mcroy kept it pulled it out come around the left hand all the way to the bearcat two-yard line that's a good decision there for him to get him to keep that a lot of room to run that's right here they go lined up at about the two and a half yard line here so first and goal for the easter greyhounds let's get a stop here boys snap quarterback power left side gunner mcelroy is going to get into the end zone for a piece to greyhound touchdown 441 left in the second quarter pending the extra point at your bearcats 20 the greyhounds 13 and they are sending the kicking unit out with a toe punch and kicker number 40 jaden cannon facts got it teed up the snaps have been a bit slow it's one thing i've noticed when i try to look and see if you know easy kick block opportunity you watch the bearcats snap it the snap's getting back there with some pace this snap has been a little bit slow back there let's see jay cox blocking running back that one did fine that one did well but yeah the kick is up and it looks like it's through the uprights so before we go to commercial break here it is the pilot point bearcats 20 and the pistol greyhounds 13. russell pelzer with hometown pharmacy has built a back to the sixth in mango second quarter the chandler cabinet scoring drive seven plays 49 yards in just over two minutes pizza greyhounds not going away putting the pressure on the bearcat offense to keep performing yeah they've responded the last with their last couple of drives so let's see if our offense can respond right back and put a little bit more distance between us and them good return by avery smith in the last kickoff so we'll see what the greyhound side do here and they're going to kick it deep and aston kirby is going to get a chance to return the ball so he takes the fields it gets up in the middle of the blocking right hash bounces outside of the numbers gossip moon turns it up and he's going to get out to the 45-yard line before he's ridden out of bounds good return there by number eight aston kirby yeah and as uh coach marsh likes to say he overcame his genetics there and uh showed some good speed unfortunately we're not gonna be able to overcome the advanced caravan block in the back bearcats on the return and that's a killer so bearcats gonna get the ball 433 to go before half which what we've seen all year that is an eternity when it comes to we have all the time we need to just try to score a touchdown here what are we gonna what are we gonna see on this drive for the bearcats with the pressure to continue scoring i think we'll just call the max play right and let him run for 50 or 60 right up the middle yeah that's hey the long long touchdown run by max whatever yeah coach peacock's in the booth next to us mike might just go knock on the door and give our two cents right i don't think we'll have to i think he's got to know it so we got trips left jay cox avery smith aiden cox to max holler's left with ish harris in the backfield next to him looks like aston kirby is the lone receiver to the right max holler takes the snap fakes the handoff he's got jay cox down the seam and just couldn't get it to him a little pressured there rushed it at jay cox's feet jay cox would have caught the ball and had to make the safety miss and if he could have done that it would have been a that long touchdown play we just called for that would have been uh 80 83 yards 83 yards on that play it could have been right there but let's see how they rebound after missing that one second and ten from their own seventeen eighteen yard line two receivers right two receivers left for hauler hauler takes the snap drops back to pass quarterback draw speeds up the middle there's the long run play for max not quite as long as i thought it might be yeah but that's enough for uh iric real estate first down that's gonna be about 10 and a half 11 yards there on the carry yeah made a nice open field tackler he had you know 30 or 40 more yards in front of him chains are moving so powerpoint's got the ball at their own 27 yard line after the iris real estate first down holler has trips to his left hand side aston kirby lone receiver to the right ish harris in the backfield next to him maxwell takes the snap hands off to sharers up the middle sheriff's is going to run into a pile sidestep it and then pull what's left of the pile for a couple more yards and that looks like it's only five yards on first down for ish harris tough run there yeah he's good job by ish uh he ran he's run hard last few weeks uh he got 100 plus yeah he had to earn those so we go two receivers right two receivers left in the second and five for max holler and max almost looking for the snap takes the snap drops back to pass throws it out into the flat avery smith was not quite on the money but didn't look like avery had his uh had his head turned not quite a long four coach marsh there giving the signals looks like we have trips left this is the formation we've been in and on this this whole drive for the most part here here we go third and five roll out to the left-hand side pressure and we've been brought down sacked there by the greyhounds that is a a rather small defensive end number three cold tears but hey he was big enough to bring down the quarterback yep senior cole tears he's it's not the biggest defensive end out there that's for sure but he's got a lot of heart one of those things we've talked about a few times and you just got to learn as a quarterback when you're successful he overran he overran the hook there that uh we had out there trying to put some protection for him and kind of ran right into number three's arms so 238 and county here in the sixth and mango second quarter with aidan cox back to punt oh the snap is over his head and he feels it and he's up he's up and he's going to try to run around and see what happens he reverses field he has some open space cuts it up daylight he's got a truck his way and he's going to get right at the oh that was the original line of scrimmage so it doesn't matter fumbled or not pieced is going to get the ball in good field position it all starts with the snap and that snap was just a bit high for aidan cox to feel luckily he was able to salvage salvage it a little yeah he did a good job i guess getting you know eight or eight or nine yards out of it it could have been much worse it is on the bearcats to bow their necks here first and ten from the bearcat 27 yard line here late in the sixth and mango second quarter and the greyhounds have a chance to take the lead going into halftime yeah we give them a short field this is we're not in good good shape here conor mcroy takes a snap back to pass there's a flag whistle's being blown and kind of bailed ish harris out there that's going to be an advanced care event penalty on the greyhounds there it's going to be a false start pre-snap penalty there document 5 yards first and 15. personally i'd rather him see see him run the play out but i guess he knew as uh it was it was on pister i'd like to think that i wouldn't but uh number 11 for peter sure didn't quit on it number 11 hank morris he went and got that ball so we go two receivers left two right for the greyhounds first and 15 at the bearcat 33-yard line snap pass deep ball aston kirby find where he needs to be he was able to defend that one the receiver come down with it but aston kirby used his body to force him out of bounds and i think this line josh i don't know if he's a big fan of ass and i think he was telling him to keep his hand off the dog the offensive guy because aston kind of put his hands right what do you what do you want me to do here yeah he's in good coverage his hand was on him but there was no yanking or pulling or pushing or it was good coverage second and 15 for the greyhounds here back-to-back plays where they tried the corners deep so i wouldn't i wouldn't be surprised to continue to see that trend continue but on second 15 the snap is a sprint out left speed option this one gets pitched out to gilbert and gilbert is finally tackled after about seven yards there's a penalty that comes in late and let's hope that's on the greyhounds because the position it would be in if it's on the bearcats would probably be a first down it's an advanced caravan hospital penalty on the play looks like it's going to be a chop block on the greyhounds definitely going to be accepted it's going to back them up a ways and put them in imagine i'll stay second down but second real long yeah it certainly helps the bearcats for you it is two to two second period so here we go i don't know exactly if they're when and where they're going to mark it off but so far they're moving forward i think they're going to mark it off from the from the penalty so that's probably why they moved it forward but now they're going backwards and i believe a chop block like that is 15 yards if i'm not mistaken sir two minutes and seven seconds left in the sixth and mango second quarter peace just gonna have the ball second really long from their own 39-yard line the line to gain for our first down is the 13. it looks like 26. looks like they think 26. and they're going to try to get it through the air speed options good option left and gunner mcroy keeps it up the middle and there's there's some space to run dorian sirocco eventually runs them down but kind of just wastes the penalty we had there they're going to get all the way to the 15-yard line and that's enough for a first down yeah it looked like we just over pursued just expected him to pitch it to uh gilbert number 21 but he cut it up and he had plenty of room to run first and ten for the greyhounds at the 15 yard line a minute 45 and counting in the sixth and mango second quarter looks like we're playing press on the outside with our corners aston kirby's right up on the receiver and this one's going to be a pass pass slam good coverage they're going to call some sort of penalty on the sideline and i i have to imagine it's probably going to be on rich harris there i think that caught ish trying to grab or jam and what ended up happening is he just grabbed and held and that's probably going to be five or five yard time against the bearcat they are going to call it full-blown pass interference which is going to give peace half the distance to the goal which is a decent situation for us i guess first and goal all the way from the 10-yard line so it is one of those situations where while it's at the 10 it is a goal-to-go situation yeah we need a little momentum swing here ryan we need something to go to bearcats away yeah well speed option to the left gunner mcelroy keeps it up the middle and goes down for no gain he's only pitched it once and and i don't getting getting tremor gilbert out on the outside and making kid making defensive backs trying to make a tackle that's the situation i'd like to take advantage of if i was them you know up until that point bearcats were kind of overplaying that but we played the quarterback well on that play minute 20 and counting here in the second quarter gunner mcroy takes a snap that's going to be dive gunner macro is going to keep it and follow it up inside the five all the way into the end zone touchdown so here we go minute 12 left that's the six points is going to tie the game so it's 20 20 pending the extra point and the powerpoint's going to have a minute and 12. they still have all their uppercut granite tie outs we'll see what they decide to do going into half they definitely need a pep talk at halftime wouldn't you say yeah we need to regroup and uh you know start fresh here so looks like we may be all squared at half we'll see if the bearcats do kick the snap is handled kick is up and it is good so the greyhounds are going to take a lead laura bradley scoreboard check minute 21 left in the sixth and mango second quarter greyhounds take a 21 to 20 lead we're gonna go to a quick break justice creek art studio located on the north side of the pilot point square is the newest way to let your creativity flow the owner sheila a on into the studio and meet our favorite artist yourself back with a minute 12 left the sixth and mango second quarter we got the chandler cabinet score and drive summary for the piece to greyhounds five plays 33 yards finished on a not by a nine yard touchdown let's not forget that drive was set up by the bad snap on the punt for the bearcats bearcat faithful here is trying to incite some uh some positive emotion in the bearcats here before half let's run this back aston kirby catches it the kick and he's going to run he's going to have really no room to go for he's brought down by a couple greyhounds to the bearcat 40. so i i'd like to i don't know what coastal coast david wants to play you really have played uninspired football the last five six minutes both sides of the ball but you have a minute six three timeouts you have an offense that can score quick i'd like to see a stage try to get the lead back before half yeah 41 yard line i think we might be aggressive but having the lead can erase all sorts of problems you know you go into half with the lead you feel way better i feel much better let's see what we do here on first down we have trips right one receiver left for max howell xlr takes the snap he's going to look to pass he's throwing a deep ball to aiden cox and it was a bit under thrown and covered well by zane o'donnell that ball has a little bit more air under it i think aidan cox aidan cox is in a position to go up and get a ball against number two he's aidan cox gonna get it yeah there's about six inches in height different there i would imagine yeah i like our i like our chances on jump ball there here we go second and ten from their own 41 yard line nice aggressive play call of duty i like it max holler quarterback draw up the middle he gets some blocking he's going to have some room he's going to cut it up cross midfield that's going to be an irish real estate first down that clock's going to stop with the movement of the chains let's see what sort of tempo the bearcats are looking for here they're looking to get back on the ball they're looking to get their calls and that's good are not running yet the bearcats are set ready to run the play and the clock has started rolling two receivers right two left max holler takes a snap that's gonna be he's gonna roll out right hassameru i think he's gonna decide to run it he does keep it he's gonna gain six yards on first down and we're gonna get our first uppercut granite timeout of the first half of the bearcats good position 38 seconds left two timeouts ball just inside the greyhound 40 yard line we've been we're being aggressive we're trying to go get the lead before halftime yeah i like the uh i like the mindset of the bearcats right here trying to trying to score before half 38 seconds left and uh it's a good job by coach marsh right there running down to get that timeout in as quick as possible i would have pulled a hamstring if i try to move that fast i had a defensive coordinator my junior year go to jump to celebrate an interception and pull this calf muscle as he did it so sometimes sometimes injuries here we go bearcats gonna have the ball second and five from just inside the greyhound 40. the ball is on the right hash and we're going towards the end zone with the scoreboard here from our right to left offense is taking the field this greyhound this ground defense has been playing tough today yeah they haven't got to give them credit they don't have a real deep team they've only got five seniors who've only been playing varsity football for two years so they've done a good job so far tonight i've only got 10 kids on the sideline over there so not a big roster but here we go trips left max holler looks to pass he throws the same jay cox overthrown and the bearcats are going to need to make a tackle here avery smith makes a tackle intercepted by number 19 caden duer and i i wish i could go back and see it i don't know if it was the throw or the route but look jaycox is open i just don't know if there was a miscommunication on where the throw was supposed to go yeah look like jay thought the ball was intended for someone else the way he kind of stopped and just let it go over his head that's that's miscommunication there well that's the end of a promising drive but here we are now the greyhounds who like to air the ball have two timeouts and 30 seconds to work with and they need to go 58 yards so i mean we're not we're not out of the woody woods here we're in danger conor mcelroy likes to sling it so he's going to throw it out route it's going to be overthrown max holler there on the coverage gives him a push anyways would you like to see a little bit of physicality there incomplete on first down yeah corners uh in more prevent than we normally are because we like to press our corners up on the outside and i saw asked him and ish give give the receivers a little cushion there probably going to see aston challenge before the end of the half here somewhere [Applause] snap fake hand off run up the middle for gunner mackerel we know where to go two yards so it's gonna be third and eight let's see what piece she wants to do i don't see the timeout call the clock is running pieced or maybe just trying to let's get in half time with the lead another nice tackle by jacob dane there defensive tackle that's gonna be the end of the sixth in mango second quarter it looks like oh well they might get one play off i know they are gonna they decide to snap it last second they snap it they're gonna have one deep ball in the end zone six nope underneath sheriff's makes a tackle the half is over so pretty decent gain there through the air for pasteur but half is over so the end of the six in mango second quarter into the first half you're going to have the piece to greyhounds 21 you're by the play bearcats 20. we're going to sign off for halftime and we'll be back after a while with some with you go bearcats and here we are for the hometown pharmacy hack your bearcats 20. got some stats here for you max holler not the best day through the air so far four of 10 for 60 yards and he did have his first interception throne of the year but on the ground he's had 11 carries for 168 yards and all carries the first half only five carries for 19 yards had a few negatives in the fact they had negative yards in the first half and i think it's only it's actually 14 yards so five carries 14 yards no touchdowns aidan cox has the one carry for 10 yards but that's kind of a that was on a uh on the bad snap on the pump where he picked it up and he was able to get the most out of it yeah so the 60 yards through the air is divvied up between both the cox brothers so we got jay with three catches for 50 yards and aiding one for 10. so not a whole lot going on through the air for the bear cats but max holler 168 yards on the ground yeah max has really got it going tonight we'd like to see ish get started but of course we got to can you get this lead back you know i going for two is always really good when you get it right um we have a pretty good kicking game i know a lot of teams they do the swinging gate they like to go for two um when you know the kicking game is not necessarily really solid i feel like with hoel ganzer they have a pretty solid kicking game and those two missed two-point conversions are you know we got the third one but that's kind of the difference in the game right now yeah i haven't used hoel in his leg uh but i like you know i like the opportunity if we if we get an opportunity to win this thing with the field goal i'll take hillel his kicking over uh jake and canafax's little toe punch kick i like the accuracy of whoever comes down to it and uh let's hope we get an end zone a few times here early in the third you want to see what these bear cats are made out of it seems like you know that second quarter just didn't feel like it went our way let's see about this second half got off to a hot start man uh two three an ounce a touchdown drive we didn't get a touchdown on our second but made another stop got in the end zone again um i mean we got off to a pretty good start i thought we were going to have a a pretty big day and it just hadn't materialized the rest of the first half yeah and max looks great just looks like a couple of uh miscommunication that these ball down the seam you have an interception and there was also an incompletion that just remember hit avery smith kind of on the shoulder though it looked like he wasn't looking for the ball yeah well for easter's first uil sanctioned district ball game they're playing they're playing pretty good i guess that 3-0 wasn't just saw it wasn't a soft schedule they're very pretty good football team i guess so you know they benefited from having to buy last week you talked about that having about going into district play it kind of helps you and they go off to a slow start maybe from the bye week but uh they've got it rolling here in the second quarter we need to get momentum back on our side well yeah so the second half is gonna be big for the bearcats this is this part of the season that matters you know these games losing dropping games early in district a lot of times they're hard to make up in the back half of district um yeah let's let's do that yeah so i've got a quick uh volleyball report ryan brought to you by the pilot point booster club so uh lady cats beat boyd in five sets tonight so good for them it is good for them i know i was no so six minutes left in halftime the bearcats are coming back on the field get some stretching done that's about it for the hometown pharmacy halftime show we're gonna get a few more words from sponsors get another drink of water and uh we'll be ready to come back for the uh the second half of this of this important early district match-up you listen to powerpoint bearcat football on on pilotpointbearcats.com brought to you by speed of light broadband pilot point is getting the ball to start the second half so a chance to shake off some of the uh we can't call it rust we played last week we just didn't look as sharp as we we have so far this year so i wonder i don't know what exactly was said at halftime but i'd like to see the bearcats come up with some punch some energy here on this first drive to get us take the lead back yeah you know we hope 20 minutes from now we're sitting there looking back saying man we made some great adjustments we really needed that half time to regroup and big counterfacts got has it teed up for pister and they're ready to start the southern junkies kickoff the kick is up and nice and kirby's going to field it just inside his 20 with some room to run so he's going to get to 30. has a seam there 40. number three cole tears on the tackle and that's another good return by aston kirby there yeah i'll tell you right when i when i coached him back in uh fifth and sixth grade we laughed about uh the team kicked it off to him he ran it back we got a penalty got called back they kicked it to him again he ran it back again so i like watching aston return kicks some good blocking there some room to run he made the most of it so powerpoint's gonna get the ball first and ten at the piece to greyhound 47 to start the second half we're gonna start the second half and try to maybe be a bit more physical max holler under center i write maxwell takes a snap pitches it out to ish harris harris is going to cut it up he's going to get some room puts his head down physical three-yard run there for the first play in the second half yeah nice job running downhill and number 70 tyler tyler stageman tried to get in the way and it carried him forward for another couple yards i'm sure it was a bit of an odd first half ish not too many carries only 14 yards i'm sure he'd like to see himself get going here in the second half but you know max holler and go for another 168 here in the second half i feel i feel pretty good max holler takes a snap it's going to be a quarterback keep up the middle max holler is going to drag a man he's going to get slung around for another three yards we're gonna face a third and four here on the first drive in the second half yeah i was number 70 tyler stageman again he kind of slung max forward uh for an extra yard or so yep so here we go third and four here start the third quarter start the second half bearcats looking over for a call we got troy tincher playing a fullback with ish harris next to max holler in the backfield looks like we're gonna have two receivers left one right taking a while to get the call seems to be a bit of a confusion [Music] seven seconds left on the play clock i don't know what's going on five and under we'll finally line up three two we're gonna get the snap it's gonna be a roll out left we're gonna throw the all the space in the world to run but it is a huge play for an irish real estate first down ish harris catches the screen pass all the way down to the 15-yard line to enter the point bank red zone so you know they're waiting on the play call it ended up being an excellent play call i think uh you know max kind of looked off the defense over to our near side and then threw it back to ish and perfect pass hit him right right in the numbers we have an injured greyhound who it was in on the tackle there on the greyhound sideline he's only one or two yards on the field looks like he's grabbing his angle ankle maybe a rolled ankle i don't have a number for you but the bearcats on the move here early early in the second half this is this is big this is what we need to see here out of the bear cat offense early yeah you want to come out and uh set the tone early and we did that in the first quarter and we seem to be doing that here in the third quarter looks to be number seven briar johnson the injured greyhound he's hobbling off he's got some help from a trainer looks like he may have rolled an ankle there or something you know yeah you know we talked about how thin they are ryan they've only got 24 kids on the roster five seniors 11 juniors and eight sophomores young program so any injury like that really uh can can hurt the depth of that team and really uh end up being in our favor in the second half so we go max holler first and tan inside the point bank red zone at the greyhound 15 yard line holler takes a high snap busted play he's going to run it right up the middle and that call it a busted play it's a busted play for 11 yards and an irish real estate first down max holler takes it just inside the five it's just gonna be first and goal from about the four and a half yard line he seems to be a step faster tonight on senior night but uh number 19 caden door kind of got a lick on him there at the end the high snap seemed to throw the play out of balance but max holler took it for 11 yards so on this first and goal under center hand off to ish harris ish harris run him over his shoulder oh man wow come on now blow the wrestler there's number 40 there counterfax late late whistle forward progress all the way to one thought he was going to get in but canon facts pulls them all the way back to the five and but they're gonna get forward progress all the way down to the one so it's gonna be second goal from the one yard line for the bearcats i'd be looking for that quarterback sneak player maybe a quick dive to ish harris to punch it in and it is the quarterback sneak for repels a printing touchdown that is max holler's fourth rushing touchdown of the game [Applause] [Music] there's that bearcat touchdown hole in there for anybody at home that could hear that but now now here's an opportunity where it makes sense to go for two to get up to seven points yeah and we've we've certainly got in the playbook yeah it looks like i like this so we need two so we're not going to swing it off i like it yeah i like to see our offense after that drive they deserve the opportunity to capitalize here for two so this is the next italian two-point conversion maxwell takes a snap takes the handoff to ish they're gonna got aidan cox out in the flats and you know what the throw was a bit high but i think if aiden really goes up with two hands he probably catches yeah he kind of kind of jumped off balance off one foot and he had his left hand out and couldn't couldn't corral it after that touchdown we're gonna go to a quick break from our sponsors hey bearcat fans this is coach marsh i know that whenever practice is over and i get home late the first place i think of is nick's italian you can go to nick's italian or you can call it at 940-686-2520 get great quality food at a great business in nick's italian go bearcats i'm number 23 ryan stewart and you are listening to bearcat football on pilotpointbearcast.com welcome back bearcat fans after a bearcat touchdown there chandler cabinet scoring drive six plays 47 yards two minutes um and it's punctuated by max holler's fourth tells the printing touchdown of the game this one was a much different variety this one was just the one yard quarterback sneak so the bearcats retake the lead 26-21 with all ganzer gotten it teed up for the southern junkies kickoff here that's what we wanted to see out of the for the from the bearcats out coming out of halftime is some some movement on the offense and a touchdown yeah we saw exactly what we wanted eventually cuts it up before he's tripped up um it looked to be number 47 jacob dane on the tackle there um man o'donnell then all these guys all these guys on both sides really except aston on his last kick return caught the ball and tried to reverse field first field goal the length of sideline to sideline a lot of running for not a whole lot of yards aston turned his up and got a pretty good game so we go pieces first drive the second half they've been on a roll they've scored on most all their drives lately except in the first half but the timer trips right snap handoff quarterback keeps it up the middle and he's brought down for a big loss by number two troy tension really nice played by troy three yards there to start the second half start starting this third quarter just like we did the first quarter getting getting a sack defense looking good governor mcelroy kept it he had the option to hand it to tamar gilbert and he kept it and it didn't help him out at all so come on tremor gilbert next to gonna macro in the backfield two receivers left two right and that's gonna be a dive up the middle to tomorrow to marcel sticks his head down tries to barrel over people gets the three yards lost plus one so it's gonna be third and nine here big third down here to start the second half and nowhere to go there for uh trademark gilbert i like tackling him early before he gets ahead of steam because he's he's a load to bring down yeah if he didn't see a hole he just sticks his head down and tries to run something over he actually rated his own offensive lineman there third and nine two receivers right two left donald mcelroy he takes the snap and he's looking to pass he throws the ball down the slant and another big hit this time by ish harris another this is the second time this game that uh grey highness caught the ball for what would have been a first down and a bearcat defensive back knocks it loose yeah excellent timing by ish coming in there and making that hit again seems like any kind of hit like that in nfl it'll probably be a flag it's probably too violent for those guys but high school level you love to see it letting them play letting them play ashley kirby getting some love he's back there to return the punt by himself i like it you know avery smith's not going to go deep with him we've seen that two up back set from him this year but not not right here pister is lined up to punt they got fourth and nine snap punt they're gonna punt it away from aston but he's gonna go get it he catches it oh he muffs it but he picks it up breaks the tackle crosses midfield across the 50 to the 45. good recovery from a muff punt they got a fortune to pop right back right back going to get the ball their own 45 at the easter 45-yard line so similar position to where they started their first drive and they were able to get six points out of it yeah i think we can uh build on our last drive here and i think i look for us to establish that running game again with ish let this get going let max continue doing his thing we have two receivers right troy tinch is playing fullback in front of his harris maxwell takes the snap effects the handoff we're gonna get it out in the flat it's gonna be caught and turned up field spun around it's gonna be about five yards i think that was avery smith but we're gonna wait to yeah it was avery smith there on the flat on the little screen play five yards there so it's gonna be second and five that's a plus play right there i heard coach marsh talk about plus plays on the bearcat insider podcast it's a plus play there yeah we've seen you know max kind of bounce that pass in a few times this season so it was nice that he adjusted and hit avery right now you know in a bread basket maxwell takes a snap handoff to shares up the middle this here is going to find some running room before he finally slips down just inside the 30. it's going to be an irish real estate first down inside the greyhound 30-yard line yeah he's kind of hard yeah he's lost his footing several times tonight but he looks you know he's really active he's he's fresh uh i say we keep feeding niche yeah similar to what we saw with gunner last week their quarterback carried most the first half in the second half they kind of turned over to some of the other weapons maxwell he's going to roll out left on this it's a run all the way he picks up a block and spins out of a tackle max let's go back in a day see you touchdown bearcats that's a puzzle touchdown and that one goes 29 yards of the house not a whole lot there from the start max holler made that run happen how many yards was that that was the that was 34. oh that one was 34. i was hoping it was 29. no another good run we'll see max is having a day we are going for two max heller under center he's going to hand the body of chairs at the middle and that one's going to get in nick's attacking two-point conversion is good laura bradley scoreboard check 6 44 left in the third quarter you're bearcats 34. the greyhound is 21 and we're going to go to a break for the car show or just about anything you need to move then give us a call or stop in our store located in pilot point texas [Music] i'm miguel prato a student call 940-765-3525 to schedule an appointment go bearcats i'm number 77 jacob scott and you're listening to bearcat football on powerpointbearcats.com and we're back with the chandler cabinet score and drive summary quick three play 52 seconds 45 yards punctuated by the long touchdown run by max haller his fifth puzzle printing touchdown of the game he is uh he's having a day he's on fire here we go joel ganjo with a little pooch kick it's gonna bounce at the 27 and head out of bounds but it's gonna it was fielded by number two i hope they don't call the penalty yeah that was definitely slip o'donnell fielded the ball and it looked like we came in off balance dorian soroka kind of stumbling wasn't a big hit he bumped into the guy i'm glad the referee kept the pocket flagging no harm no fell hey ryan i want to encourage everybody to subscribe to our youtube channel uh you know they filmed a junior high game yesterday so all things pilot point are out there go to powerpointbearcats.com and click on the broadcast link to get the youtube channel and subscribe we've done a lot to increase our uh you know our video board the next next italian video board first play of the drive as a quarterback keep by gunner mcelroy for one and a half yards it looks like it might have been his own weed and we got to tamar gilbert immediately hit him well in the backfield we have a whistle coming in equipment malfunction for somebody from the greyhounds he's getting off the field though they're going to continue playing yeah it looks like number two zane o'donnell yep so here we go second and along the second eight gunner mcelroy with tamar gilbert in the backfield next to him two receivers left two receivers right number forty jaden canofax in the slot and they're looking his way no time to throw though i think i would name them the bearcat who made the sack but it was the entire defensive line basically made the sack there so it's a group effort that was right aidan cox we got number 70. ryan reiny number 70 mario uh number 79 yeah they were all they were all converging on it that's right i'll tell you what old momentum is is on our side i talked about being a cruel mystery so leaving a heartbeat he left it left pister and now we're treating it we're treating it well we started the first half this way with a couple three now it's a touchdown and then deep ball ish harris has a chance and [Applause] yeah he got tangled up with uh the receiver on that far side number 19 caden doer yeah and kind of forced the referees to call that one man harris had all the time in the world to get under that and make the make the tackle or make the interception still didn't catch the ball but you know it wouldn't matter so that's an advanced caravet penalty on the bearcats and the uh the greyhounds went from third and 12 in a bad situation to a first and ten so yeah i'm being asked to go out on limb and say we're gonna win this game i'm not i'm not there yet but i am going to go on a limb and say we're going to get a twin city turnover uh pretty quick on an interception sooner or later handoff to tamar gilbert he's brought down immediately by the big man in the middle number 79. what a good play there when you're so big your jersey's bunched up and you got a big jersey you're a big guy and that's that's gavin wheeler it is uh i played with his dad tommy wheeler that's debba uh one of my best buddies he graduated with me and his son is a big kid making plays made two plays in the ring this is gonna be a quarterback drop the middle and who who else gavin wheeler is the first one to touch him aidan cox helps bring him down there so we're gonna have third and nine here for the greyhounds gavin wheeler has been in three consecutive plays he's causing the weight there's some havoc up there this thin roster undersized line from the greyhounds is really hurting him here gavin's confidence you can see it growing he's got a little bit of swagger about him here nom the head he's one there he's one i'd look for him to go get the quarterback on this play hey you gotta have some uh some meatballs in your nick italian pasta if you want to get in front of big gavin wheeler that's right [Music] well yeah they're surely going to pass here on third and nine in their own territory so gunner macworld looks back to pass he has 19 and hits him right in the chest and drops took his eyes off jason kirby was given a bunch of cushion and maybe it was too much for him hit him right between the numbers and dropped so the bearcats catch a break there it's gonna be third and nine and um pieces bringing out the punt team yeah it looked like max holler was the closest man on the coverage there and the receiver just took his eyes off of it we probably saw that hit the first half max hollow laid on somebody and decided he didn't want any party yeah i mean we're we're bringing the leather a little bit more here in the second half so they're a little gun shy aston kirby after muffin the last one's going to get another shot here let's see him uh take one to the house redeem himself looking we're going to see a turnover or a timeout here that's a uppercut granite timeout by the piece of greyhounds didn't have all the players on the field so they're going to take the time to get out there all 11 on the field and we're going to take a quick break care dr bot offers a full range of dental services for the entire family his state-of-the-art office equipped with the most current dental technology including digital radiographs digital first choice in dental care i'm number three uvaldo nandin and you're listening to bearcats football on powerpoint bearcats.com and we're back for the fourth and nine ashley kirby's still back to punt i think they're just letting them know that above all else catch the ball here we don't have to secure momentum absolutely he needs to catch this thing clean whether it's a fair catch or or whatever but uh let's let's certainly not turn the ball over greyhounds in pump formation the snap roll out right and the punt it's gonna be towards the bearcat sideline kirby's underneath it he catches at the 30. no real block in there but asin kirby provides a little doesn't make it easy to bring him down but ultimately gets only about four yards on this return on this kick return did his job though he caught it secured that's right bearcats here we go this is uh an opportunity that we had in the first half that we couldn't do getting multiple starts stops and then responding that with a third consecutive touchdown a real big deal for the bearcat offense going forward for the rest of this game here yeah you're looking for consistency and last couple drives would look great let's build off that looks like uh we got big number 4k carter in here down here shorter shorter corner i'd like to see him hey let's give it a shot look at him we tried it one time in the first half the ball wasn't delivered where it needed to be but this first place gonna be a max holler keeper up the middle and [Music] it looked like a face mask from here um the way max holler was doubled over running backwards but at the end of the day he's going to get seven yards there i think he's looking for the first down too or for the face mask facemask yeah he can't believe it wasn't called well they're looking over to get their calls holler's weight shaking it off oh he's okay radio network two receivers right max hollering at quarterback with this harris behind him maxlock takes a snap it's gonna be a stretch play to the right mitch harris kind of circles back to the middle spins out of a couple tacklers and he's going to get two of the three yards needed for the first down so we are going to have a third and one here for the bearcats yeah i'll tell you peace and johnson unorthodox tackling i mean they'd love to to arm tackle but i guess it's effective for them so far every friday night we go third and one for the bearcats max holler looks like he's going to be under center with troy tincher playing fullback to his right ish harris deep back behind him takes the snap it's gonna be a dive to the right and that's gonna be a one-yard loss number 70 who was injured earlier tyler stageman gets in the backfield and makes the tackle you know an undersized front for easter they really get after it we have a big office line you know we have some big kids up there and while we're doing a better job this half controlling the line of scrimmage they made the play there and you would think we would find more running room they run a you know 3-4 traditionally and just couldn't get just couldn't get the three yards we needed right there bearcats in pump formation looks like peaster's got the alignment figured out and they've got number 19 caden dewer back to return the kick with the standing at about the 18-yard line aidan cox looking to pump for the bearcats get a whistle before the snap here and it looks like it's gonna be a delay of game on the bearcats an advanced vet care penalty there so i was wondering if we might see a little bit of cherokee from the bearcats but i imagine that um that penalty has removed that removed it down unless uh mike mccarthy comes takes over our our play calling i don't i don't see a fake punt in our future well you know the last punt we had a 10-yard run by aidan cox 10 yards to be the first down here it's kind of a bad situation aidan cox takes the snap much better it's gonna get the punt off it's a high punt down the middle we're gonna this one's gonna hit and it's gonna bounce take a pot point bounce inside the 20 rolling and it's gonna die at the 17-yard line good punt by aidan cox right there yeah great great job by the swiss swiss army knife as coach marsh calls in you know he's got he's got a tool for just about anything you need so we couldn't capitalize on the defensive stop the last drive but the defense has an opportunity to do it again get gained some confidence we ended the first half pretty poorly on defense we've really come out strong in the second half and this drive is a chance to build on that yeah we don't want to give them any momentum back here uh you know up up 13. keep the pressure on them troops left for the greyhound snap looking to pass looking left oh my goodness ish harris was planning his touchdown dance before he caught the ball yeah and that ball goes right through his hands i told you ryan i see a twin city turnover coming an int and ish has had a couple chances now the other one wouldn't have counted because aston got called for pass interference but keep hitting issue in the hands ish was celebrating the touchdown before the ball even got to in there that's what happened there got to concentrate another snap roll out to the left right hand side spins out of tackle but eventually brought down yeah i want to say shout out to number 44 russell jones uh here he's he's watching and listening from his beautiful serene home on the golf course right outside of houston two series zeitgeist two left for the greyhounds speed option left once again mcroy keeps it tries to dive up the middle to nothing there ryan reiny there with his third down stop so go easter's already bringing the punt team out i don't think they're happy with what they're seeing from their offense right now good job by the defense yep kind of deep in your own territory i would i would not expect anything fishy here from the greyhounds i would expect the punt i guess you should always expect the fake though right you always expect that we don't get burnt by you know they're gonna have to take some chances sooner or later i think if you know we hold serve 32 seconds and counting here in the third quarter and the punt is off it's high and it's not very far all right away oh good greyhound balance and that's going to get into bearcat territory and dive at about the 35 yard line of the bearcat so the bearcats are going to come out and start their fourth drive of the second half when we come back after a word from our sponsors if you needed brain surgery would you hire a part-time brain surgeon no you would not the same philosophy holds true when hiring a realtor trent rubenbach with scrivener real estate is a full-time realtor trent will treat your side sidesteps a few would be tacklers and he's gonna get eight yards on the carry for ish harris they're on first down yeah i like i like how we're trying to establish issues here in the second half he's running hard a pile there's everybody slow to get up but we're all up and we're looking for our calls and that's the end of the third quarter so laura bradley scoreboard check at the end of three quarters your pilot point bearcats 34 pistol greyhounds 21. and go to a quick break well it's residential and commercial clients by providing and installing high quality turf grasses tritec stays on to pilot point bearcat football on pilotpointbearcats.com brought to you by speed of light broadband bearcat offense had a good uh first play of the drive with an eight-yard run by ish harris and we're looking to build on that we have a second and two from our own 43-yard line max holler in the backfield will dish harris to his left snap is going to be a quarterback run up the middle max holler circles back he's going to get enough for the irish real estate first down three and a half four yards on the carry for max holler like i said for an hour real estate first down bearcats on the march here start the fourth quarter a touchdown would do us wonders here john yeah i think it it almost put the game away um with 11 you know 11 30 and some change in the fourth quarter one more score might do it first and ten from the bearcat 47. two receivers right one left aidan cox playing tight in for the bearcats max takes a snap roll out left it's the screen coming out there a draw coming out the back side ish harris is going to get the iraq real estate first down plus more three five 15 yards there for ish harris on first down for another iraq real estate first down paul points into greyhound territory here on the drive going for a drive john another nice run by ish harris that might be one of my favorite plays with the roll out one way and giving it as a draw coming out the back side kind of the the counter draw if you will i really like that play two receivers left one right max holler takes the snap looking to pass we'll get that poor angle um avery smith showing some frustration i don't know kind of cut that route pretty sharp there trying to get inside the uh the defensive back remember hank morris had it had a hand on him it probably would have been interference if it was aston with his luck but yeah that cat's looking to the sideline for the calls looks like we're gonna have trips right ish harris and max holler is right aidan cox playing tied in on the back side that trips to the wide side for the bearcats a lot of options here max holler is going to get quarterback keeper up the middle run out of a few arm tackles and he's going to get five yards on first down or second down so it's gonna be third and five for the [Applause] james bearcats so third and five for the bearcats cade carter coming on the field along with number one number one's coming off the field so looks like number 20 jacob jacob leisure came running on yeah he's playing titan bearcats yeah he's got good hands we saw him catch that uh little onside kick from castleberry axle takes the snap and hands it off up the middle yeah touchdown and that'll be 32 yards harris and that could be the one we'd love to see harris has been running hard here in the second half and he gets rewarded with a 32-yard touchdown right up the middle to extend the bearcat lead 40 to 21. yeah it's ish harris that's ted travis's favorite player and i know ted drives sitting at home watching the stars and us simultaneously and uh we had to enjoy that one that was a huge hole opened up like a hollyhock as coach lenny gray would tell us you'd love to see it odd playing again going for nick's italian two-point conversion running out of time on the play clock they are gonna oh i think we prematurely called the timeout there i think we were gonna get the play off but that is an uppercut granite timeout for the next time two-point conversion this is exactly how we would like to play football the way we've started this second half yeah you look you love to see them you know continue this momentum from one quarter to the next which we haven't been able to do you know on a consistent basis this has been an excellent second second half one one bad drive for the bearcats offense so far and other than that we've been clicking on all cylinders the defense has just been playing great i'm gonna give i'm gonna give all the coaches credit like i said i think they made the uh made the adjustments at halftime and maybe maybe it was just uh you know talking them up mentally to stay in the game and finish the fight yeah we just we didn't look we didn't look 100 our sale ourselves in that um on that first half we're back to playing bearcat football here bearcats going back out lining up for the knicks italian two-point conversion harris in the backfield along with max holler troy tension playing fullback one receiver right one receiver left and this would double us up on the greyhounds maxwell takes the snap hand off the ish harris at the beginning all it's not going to get in he's not going to be able to get in so after that lower brother scoreboard check 10 minutes and seven seconds left in the peacock family fourth quarter here bearcats 40. the greyhounds 21 and we're gonna go to break this is shannon stafford with whitney del corte of irick real estate whitney del corte is my real estate professional for all my commercial land and real estate needs whitney always bearcat football olympics.com i'm number 80 allen centolio and you are listening to bearcat football on pilotpointbearcast.com now we're back to the peacock family fourth quarter the chandler cabinet scoring drive for the bearcats six plays 65 yards finished by a 32-yard pelzer printing touchdown run by ish harris bearcats have come out and played their style of football here in the second half pounding the ball on the ground playing good defense [Music] yeah we came out and established a run with ish in the second half and we've dominated the second half paul ganzo with the kickoff he pooches up it's going to be fielded at about the 30 and o'donnell brings it up and immediately hit on the 35-yard line bearcats putting into that return pretty quickly looks like number 11 dorian soroka and number 14 tristan trubenbach make the tackle there to end the return easter i'm sure they're feeling the pressure to answer here twin city turnover is this is a good time for a twin city tournament all second half it's gonna happen they gotta press here and they really gotta take some shots down field and we know it gunnar mcelroy hasn't been afraid to sling it around so let's see what he has here takes a snap it's gonna be speed option left he does pitch it to jamar jamar slips immediately negative four yards on the play [Music] he kind of put that pitch on jamar the spacing wasn't all that great and he put it on him quick yeah number two troy tincher was was bearing down on jamar so it was a good job of pursuing our defense so it was a full five yard loss in the play so it's going to be second 15 for the greyhounds down 20 or 19 that's not the start that they were looking for two receivers left two running backs next to gunnar mcboy it's gonna be a fake handoff the cox brothers are going to get him he finds a man out into the flat and that's going to be six and a half yards there completing the number two zayn and o'donnell but we're gonna have a third and eight here for the bearcats yeah nice sure tackle by tristan treunbach uh on the pursuit number 14. third and long greyhounds need this one don't they [Music] [Applause] yeah this is uh let's play the game for them you know it's tough to say they're in the game right now but they've got it they've got it if they want any chance of being in the game they have to make some yardage you have to convert here well it's only third down so if they just get something to make it more manageable yeah gunner takes the snap he's dropping rolling out right to pass it there's gonna be a screen i don't know if he's gonna be able to get rid of it he does he throws out of bounds and we have gavin wheeler aidan cox uh dorian soroka tristan troubenbaugh all chasing him looked like it might have been a screenplay but i didn't see any receiver trying to catch the screen i don't know if it was a screen player but if our blitz just was so uh so much pressure up up the middle that uh just forced to force the qb to just retreat this might be a signal here eight minutes and 40 seconds remaining in the peacock family fourth quarter down 19 points the greyhounds are lined up to punt so i'd look for something tricky here because yeah you think they'd have to and it's it's going to be a punt low line drive aston kirby's going to run over there and take a look he's going to feel it on a bounce makes the first man miss but the two more two more greyhounds show up and make the tackle zero yards return there on the on the trooper kick return the trent trooping kick return tell you what though he's fearless you know picked that punt up off the off the hop and had had three pister greyhounds bearing down on him but he's a tough kid i liked how he ran over there and kind of gauged the situation and gave him a good hop and decided he was going to go after him well if he would have let it go it might have you know might have dribbled all the way back inside the tent so this is a situation right here the bearcats have been in a few times this year and we haven't seen them put the their foot down on the throat i'd love to see the game away right here pitch right to jay cox jay cox is going to cut it up make a few men miss but really nowhere to go number 40 jayden canefax on the tackle good play there by the greyhounds defense big number 77 jacob scott was out there blocking in front of him he's trying to cut it back but he's good pursuit by the by the greyhounds so second and ten here two backs with uh with max holler and jay cox and nish harris both in the backfield max holler it's kind of your three biggest playmakers they're all next to each other so oh takes the snap and he's gonna fake the hand off to cox he's gonna bounce down the right side with some room to run bouncing outside the numbers to the 35 and pushed out of bounds at the 37-yard line that's going to be more than enough for the iraq real estate first down gilbert max holler just piling on that total like the you know he'd like seeing that a sixth touchdown for the game might as well senior night have a day kid and that's good last time i saw a bearcat with six rushing touchdowns in the game it was uh the jarman johnson against the boyd yellow jackets in the playoffs yeah [Applause] tonight he broke the single game russian record and the the season single season russian record score six i like it being against boyd yep roll out right max hall looking to pass he's going to throw a tunnel screen aidan cox catches it on the run trying to run out of tackle he's going to break it and this is where fatigue sets in if you face the end zone tripped up inside the 20. but man those greyhounds they look tired they just couldn't bring down aiden cox turns into a huge play for the bearcats for an irish real estate first down deep inside the point bank red zone for your powerpoint great effort right there by aidan cox great patience by max holler you know sometimes those tunnel screens they take a while to develop quarterback showed good patience and ultimately delivered a good ball where aidan cox could take it and make something happen snap hand off up the middle of the ish harrison spins out of a [Applause] 17 and a half 18 yards there for ish harris and the pelzen touchdown and this is what we said we wanted to see the bearcats put the foot down on the throat and you know finish the football game yeah we've certainly responded the way we needed to in the second half and for the first time tonight joe alganza is going to get to kick the extra point nick's italian extra point looking to extend the lead we got a good kicking game i like to see us kick the ball yeah he's a good kicker and we get him to get the piece to greyhounds to jump because we do the whole tom landry go down go down again before we're ready to snap it [Applause] gets the greyhounds to jump and it's going to make the kick just that much easier for well right one yard i don't think he needs it just just decline it hello and kick it from there well we're all lined up ready to go max holler is the holder oh man you'd think that they would understand but this is the same thing it was going to be another they just saw it yeah there's no secret i learned from it it was no secret another half the distance to the goal i think if you get a third one it should be automatic two points used to be a thing i like it i like the rule change petition to uil here we go we're gonna do it all over again piecer does not jump this time snap hold well aidan cox is not giving up i like to see that by any cox you're right here he did try to run him all the way down but all of those penalties everything good that we've said about the kicking game i'll tell you every time i say something this has happened two or three weeks in a row i say something and immediately something bad happens i forgot what it was last week but just now talked about earlier in the game talking about how the deep snaps have been really good right what goes over the punter's head we have a good kicking game it gets blocked and returned i don't know how much all that's gonna matter right now but lower bradley scoreboard check bearcats 46 greyhounds 23 and we're gonna go to a quick break the curtis and holly peacock family are proud supporters of powerpoint isd the press appearance that our students have shown in these unprecedented times is a true reflection of what it means to be a pilot porn bearcat peacocks want to wish all students in polypoint isd a great 2021 school year and encourage them to continue to be an example to others the peacock family is always behind the hollow point bearcats and lady cats and remember it is a great day to be a powerpoint bearcat and we're back to the peacock family fourth quarter 7 15 and counting the bearcats up 46 to 23. well cancer hasn't teed up at the 40 ready to kick off cut the chand their cabinet scoring drive summary four plays 75 yards big drive by the bearcats are punctuated by the ish harris peltier printing touchdown yeah that the second half offense has been excellent this is a good thing to see you every week every week so far we've seen the bearcats build and get better at something i thought they had a good second half against gunner last week i think they were just outmatched this week is the first time we've had a really good second half but we were the you know we were the better team and the certainties are dominant so pooch kick is fielded by kenneth canafax and he's going to return it up to about the 43-yard line and the bearcat defense is going to take the field again and the bearcat defense has a pitch to shut out the third quarter in the second half and uh really put a lot of pressure on the quarterback by gavin wheeler i think up the middle he's been very strong 7-eleven and counting let's see what piecer wants to do if they uh tremor gilbert's not in the backfield next to gunnar mcelroy so we'll see what they're wanting to do here maybe get some inexperienced players some playing time and this ball is going to be handed up up the middle and hard man to tackle spins out of a few tackles he's going to get nine and a half there number three cold tears little guy spun out of a few tackles and got nine yards nice run hit the hit the old button on the playstation a couple times there and got nine out of it there you go second one for the greyhound 645 and counting here in the peacock family fourth quarter mcroy takes the snap hands off the middle to tears again and immediately gavin wheeler big gavin wheeler tackled for loss defensive tackles man if you can have your defensive tackle stuff and runs up the middle for tackles for loss that's good that's a big thing for you third and three for the greyhounds here snap back away looking to pass throws a slant route to the right it is caught and immediately making the tackle is max holler who is in coverage on the play but that's going to be enough for a greyhound first down [Music] [Applause] that's a nice nice pitching catch right there from from uh gunner mcelroy i didn't have notice about mcilroy's he does no drop he has no drop right he catches the snaps turns his shoulders to look to throw the ball sacks today he does it again he's looking to pass throws the ball into the flat o'donnell o'donnell makes the catch and a big big hit by ish harris comes and plays a huge hit on o'donnell comes makes the ball come out and it's going to be ruled incomplete defensive backs are laying some licks today yeah that's the third one i can remember that has jarred the ball loose [Music] second ten for the greyhounds right at six minutes remaining here in the fourth quarter gunnar mcelroy the quarterback he's gonna take the snap he's going to lift the hand off up the middle of the tears tears is going to carry dorian soroka a little bit before dorian soroka finally just picks him up and dumps him picked him up and pulled him back a couple yards four six yards on the carry for tears makes the third and four for the greyhounds these grounds there's some small kids on the field for them but they're they look strong they look tough yeah we haven't seen uh treymar gilbert i don't know if he's injured or what we haven't seen him on this drive snap hand off pierce again bounces around the left spins out of the first half and he's going to get right to the 30 which is the yard to gain looks like they're going to spot it far enough for the first down they do they move the chains first down greyhounds tears says you know yeah i mean tomorrow's a bigger stronger running back but pierce is carrying some piles here he's running tough first and ten from the 30. mcroy takes a snap looking to pass slant route to number 11 ish harris tries to rip it out of his grip but he has too much of a handle on it number 11 hank morris with the catch good job running these slant routes and uh crossing the face of the defensive backs and gunners putting it right on them ish harris tried to rip the ball out but hank had too much of a grip on it mcilroy takes the snap and that point bearcats timed that perfect and tristan schrubenbach he was blitzing and i think he was through the line of scrimmage before the offensive lineman were out of their stance [Applause] he had that time perfectly [Applause] third and nine maybe change up the snap count if i was the greyhound we called their play on that one yeah they that receiver fully formed tackled bastion in the end zone yeah and essence uh austin is slow to get up i hope he's okay he's okay all right man i'll just be heartbroken for this kid if they call it it's not gonna be okay if they call these holding against the defense and then what's the second one offensive pass interference it has to be they form fat tackled aston one flag on the kearney oh so that i guess [Laughter] the aston kirby two were two different referees to a flag and there wasn't a call i guess whatever he can't catch a break he cannot catch a break speed option to the right there's chamar catches the pitch dorian soroka tries to pull it down but can't they're going to get a horse collar on that looks like wherever the corner is on that side i'm not sure if aston was still in or not but the corner come up and help team up on the tackle [Music] dorian soroka and asia kirby teamed up on the tackle [Applause] nadine teaming up with dorian silke on that tackle nadine in there looks like he's playing a little bit of corner for aston kirby while he gets a breather after getting some bad some bad luck man slammed down he got tackled defensively yeah it didn't happen very often you talked about homer calls earlier in the year the day after gets an interception and runs it back for a touchdown that's it that's it all right gunnar mcilroy fakes a handoff up the middle to tremor gilbert he keeps it out the back end and he's in for a touchdown for the greyhounds there 404 that's going to put the greyhounds on the board and best case scenario bring it to within 15. but they're teaming it up um 16 is a two possession game so it looks like they're going to try to kick the extra point make it 16. that's uh jaden you can of facts and kickers he's back to kick the snap the hold the kick is low but it's through the uprights and it is good so laura bradley scoreboard check 404 left in the fourth quarter and bearcats 46. there's peace to greyhounds 30. located on the south end next to the bathroom oh we have half price pizza hi i'm greg kelsey here at pelzel printing we do custom embroidery custom screen printing and promotional product you can reach greg pelzel at 940-4535 go bearcats i'm jacob day number 47 and you're listening to bearcat football on powerpointbearcats.com and we're back to the peacock family fourth quarter here on powerpoint bearcat football on powerpointbearcats.com your chandler cabinet drive summary ten plays 56 yards three minutes and seven seconds off the clock for the piece to greyhounds down two possessions with four minutes to go i'd be looking for put my hands team on the field yeah absolutely you would think they have to pooch it or do an onside kick here looks like he's lining up to kick it towards their sideline well hopefully they don't have the same luck the cowboys had this weekend that was an excellent uh execution of that onside kick by the cowboys oh yeah it looks like pieces lined up to go after it they have all their men on the line of scrimmage and four points that sprinter stance is ready to go after it kind of facts with the kick it's going to be the outside kick it's it's not going to go 10 yards before it hits a greyhound power point oh what are we doing i don't know oh no i think we're going to eventually get out of it yeah i don't know why we well we could have picked it up and ran it was that weird limbo there we didn't really know what to do we could have picked it up and ran it back for a touchdown but luckily we're able to get on it almost i mean it would have been our ball piece to touch it first yeah so it wouldn't really matter let's see a four-minute offense here from the bearcats yeah i love uh small town football because jayden can fax there number four he's got the you know late 80s florida state neck roll uh as a kicker you just don't see that you know he's the versatile slot receiver middle linebacker kicker hey you know let's see a four-minute offense here some power run game let's try to kill some clock here max holler takes the snap quarterback dive right up the middle he's going to cover the ball with both hands and get three and a half yards on the play four yards on first down and let the clock roll under four minutes to go in the peacock family fourth quarter i think we're going to see a lot of max and ish on on this drive right here as we melt away the clock no no rush getting the calls into the no rush getting the calls into the offense they're relaying the message and taking their time max holler actually takes a look back at the play clock he's going to take the snap he's going to look to pass and we throw the ball that's not quite what i'm envisioning that's offense jay cox is running down the seam but the ball was put up and over the top we might have a touchdown but the ball was thrown sharp safety comes across and knocks it down yeah bearcats waiting on the been on the call from the sideline taking their time here i'm a bit surprised by the run or by the pass there so third and third and six now you're in a position where maybe passing makes sense here [Music] we're gonna move this harris to the right to the left takes a snap drop back quarterback draw coming up the middle oh max holler drags a few defenders to about it's gonna be fourth and one fourth and fourth and one that's right on it oh they gave it to him spotters help us out this week iraq real estate first down and now all can be forgiven with that throw that incompletion we had and i would suspect they're going to keep the ball in the draw on the the ball on the ground the rest of the school yeah i'll give it hey ryan i'll give this officiating crew some credit at least except this then last week i don't know man they're calling uh marking off penalties at least yeah yeah now this line judge i think has a vendetta against aston so yeah everybody else done a good job pitch [Music] and the first half was the max holler show the second half is the ish harris show his second 32-yard rushing touchdown of the second half here so for a kid who only had 14 yards rushing in the first half he's really putting on him this half we were saving him we're just saving it for the second half hey wheat's finisher took a page out of gunner's book last week that's what they did they ran their quarterback till he was exhausted and the second half he didn't have a single carry yeah and they went to ashton bennett in the second half didn't they [Applause] oh two minutes and 40 seconds left in the fourth quarter well ganzer's teed up to kick this one let's hope this goes smoother for both sides no penalties oh snap hold kick good kick so with two minutes and 40 seconds left your bearcats 53. greyhounds 30. and we'll get a quick break point bank is proud to support the pilot point bearcats 2020 football season open your real free checking account with point bank and show your bearcat pride with a point bank school logo debit card custom designed with the pilot point high school logo on the front visit pointbank.com to know more point bank your neighbors love us you will too member fdic i'm claire thompson and you are listening to bearcat football on pilotpointbearcats.com and we're back two minutes and 40 seconds left to go in the peacock family fourth quarter your bearcats have extended their lead 53-30 and that's 33 second half points for the bearcats five touchdowns and he just couldn't ask for for much more out of our offense in the second half great great response by the bearcats the only thing better than wasting all four minutes on the clock was getting that touchdown so chandler cabinet scoring drive four plays 42 yards a minute 24 off the clock but that's going to put a lead that the bearcats aren't i don't think the bearcat's going to be able to give up here no i don't see it happening holganser has it teed up ready to kick it deep piecers played played a hard-fought game here especially here in their last drive or two for a team that only has 20 members on the varsity team right kickoff bounces rolls around inside the ten four donald picks it up he's going to try to get some down the piecer sideline and powerpoint gang tackles them at about the 16-17 yard line and piecer is going to get the ball late in the fourth quarter deep in their own territory down 23. like senior edward edwin rodriguez number 10 was on the tackle on that watching some of these kids that don't get a ton of playing time track down kicks everybody's gonna do their job you know bearcats defense taking the field the defensive tackles have been forces here in the second half for the bearcats especially 78 gavin wheeler yeah gavin wheeler's headed great second half speed option left gunner mcelroy keeps up the middle dorian soroka along with gavin wheeler maybe ryan reiny yeah brian reining in there on the tackle as well both defensive tackles they're helping their middle linebacker make the tower yeah i love it love to see everyone was just eating up two blockers and still got in on the tackle with dorian soroka here we go second and eight for the greyhounds two receivers left two receivers right gunner mcroy hands it up the middle to tramar gilbert and jay cox and a gang of other bearcats take him down after two yards gonna be a third and five and i think pistol is good with trying to you know run some plays get some yards run the clock out and get out of here yeah hard-fought game for their first district game they don't make a 23 23-point play so might as well play it safe and get out of here this football program grows and they get they get more into football i think this this team this program could turn into a power i mean they've got a lot to build on they have the heart they have the the toughness needed um i like a lot what i've seen that third and six pass is tipped and incomplete it's going to be fourth and sixth and decisions got to be made by pister they're going to send the punt team out yeah and you know pistors just nine miles on the north side of weatherford so they got a lot to model themselves after you know a program like brock which is on the south side of weatherford um who you know was a traditional basketball school in the last few years since they started football obviously become a football uh mainstay low snap but fielded well like a short stop punt is off and it is fielded aston kirby's going to right towards the powerpoint sideline with some room to run he's going to try to outrun our picks up a what a heck of a return pilot point coaches over here helping tremor chamar was the victim of a that was not a penalty in my day it was not a penalty in my day that was a what should have been a clean block is going to be in this day and age of football as a blind side block and you know there are some instances where i understand i just hate to see it when the block is at the point of attack right i mean could have made it could have made the play i think max holler lays the block there right it was ish here it was ish yeah if ish doesn't make the block that guy tackles so so i'd i hate when i see that's the case when it's called when it happens away from the play down the field absolutely unnecessary shouldn't i mean i know it's football but that's it's unnecessary we don't need that but when it's at the point of attack that's a what else he's supposed to do let his teammate get tackled well we knew there was going to be a penalty because aston was asked to have the ball acid had a heck of a play but of course this is a theme we got to change his numbers we gotta talk we gotta get his number changed can't be number eight not at all this is and it's been everywhere he can't be the magic eight boys it's been every week it needs to go to seven i think i wonder if the bearcats gonna take some knees here pieces clearly raised the flag saying we're ready to get out of here bearcats are in an eye right formation max hollow under center takes the snap he's going to hand a dive off and dorian soroka gets a tough nine yards or seven yards i thought it was nine seven yards there i expect to see maybe one more play maybe a knee maybe another dive like that and the bearcats are gonna move yeah bearcats gonna move three and one on the season and more importantly one and oh in district like i said it's a second season if you will playing district and so you want to if you if you have a loss you want it to be in priest you know pre-district games like uh like we did against gunner stand defeated in district and max holler in the victory formation takes a snap takes a knee no timeout coming from eastern sideline and that should be the ball game so pilot point like we just said news of three and one on the season with a 53 to 30 win over the piece to greyhounds 1-0 in district play and um next week we will be here again for homecoming homecoming yes sir all right guys we're going to sign off for a few minutes get a quick breather go get some stats show bearcats 53 greyhounds 30. pretty odd looking first half for the bearcats i just i didn't i didn't want to say we weren't given a whole lot of effort i couldn't say we were sluggish or just something wasn't there and we come out and score 33 points in the second half yeah it was really that second quarter i think we let ourselves down but the second half i totally made up for it so we're gonna go to the stat line real quick max holler through the air seven of 15 for 143 yards he did throw his first interception tonight but on the ground max holler 21 carries 252 yards and five puzzle printing touchdowns and then rebounding first half fish harris only had 14 yards and he finished the game with 15 carries for a buck 50 and three touchdowns of his own it was a nice second half by ish but max max was good soroka added one or no yeah soroka added one carry seven yards aidan cox had one carry for 10 yards to the air jaycox three catches 50 yards aidan cox two catches 60 yards avery smith one catch for six ish harris one catch for 27. and leads us into our player of the game a lot of good we saw tonight on both sides of the ball but i think we've decided it's going to go to max holler with this 252 touchdowns and five touchdowns yeah on senior night our senior quarterback really showed out and yeah what a great stat line 250 plus with five touchdowns i mean uh that's the uh the al bundy i scored five touchdowns in in high school isn't it yeah well he did it tonight carried us to victory um next week we'll be home again it'll be homecoming versus the bowie jack rabbits
