Picking Out My Dalmatian Puppy + Puppy Haul! | Olivia Rena

[Music] first so dad if you're watching this would you probably are cuz you're thinking what the hell I'm sorry I didn't tell you but there was just too many signs that pointed that this was the time that this was the litter and you know I'm obsessed with Dalmatians obviously you buy me some B's and stuff all the time so if I would see any dog it was gonna be a Dalmatian so you can't be that upset with me and I'm paying for the puppy I'm paying for the vet visit yeah I bought all the puppy stuff which I'm gonna share with you guys in this video as well as to everybody else hi my name is Olivia if you're new to my channel specifically for this video I don't blame you how can you resist a cute puppy I just wanted to do a little bit of backstory before we jumped into the footage of the puppies and then after that I want to go ahead and show you guys everything that I bought for the puppy and how to make getting a puppy a little more affordable I stumbled across a website where they posted litters breed-specific and there was a bunch of Dalmatian ones and there was a litter that was only an hour and a half two hours away from me which was fairly close yeah that's the closest I've ever been to a litter of dalmatian puppies most of the ones I've seen online before we're in Pennsylvania and they were hours away I do want to go ahead and just claim really quickly that I have been looking into adoption centers and rescue centers for about four years now at the time you know four years ago I may not have been ready for a Dalmatian if they posted one but I've always been wanting to adopt a Dalmatian but unfortunately none of them have ever gotten a Dalmatian I checked the sites again before we'd love to go and visit the puppies so I really did want to adopt a dog but I do know that the second best thing is to go through an actual breeder and not to buy it from a pet store because those are supporting puppy mills which are a completely different thing then breeders who know what they are doing in our experience and I've had several litters before and have really healthy puppies that they are known for and that people travel a really long time to go and see so there's actually a woman that's driving eight hours from Maine to go and pick out a puppy from them so they're really well known I was blessed to stumble across this guy's phone number and give him a call and he had just had two litters of puppies and the one mom gave birth to twelve and the other one it gave birth to five so there were 17 puppies I was desperate for a female so we only really looked at the females but then I eventually asked them to bring out the boys because I obviously wanted to see them anyway and there was ten girls and seven boys so it was a really hard decision and we were there for about two and a half hours trying to pick out a puppy and we had it narrowed down between two basically since we got there and we eventually picked our one which is right here not to spoil it but she's gorgeous I'm so excited to get her and we decided to name her cinder just because of its association with the firemen I think that that's a really cute name and I really do enjoy it it was between that and basil and you guys actually voted for basil on Twitter and basil one started calling her cinder already and we kind of already serve establish that name so we're sticking with cinder but maybe the next one we get will become a basil when that time comes no rush on that one puppy at a time and of course I obviously want to be prepared and have the time to give it the attention and care that it needs especially at a puppy so without the training and everything let's go ahead get into the little vlog that we got so you guys can see all the puppies and then we'll go ahead and jump into the hall part of this video so many go oh I got like four is mine over there I'm sorry well don't get stepped on your brother over here is being making a ruckus I have boys and you got girls oh my god that one's so cute all the one looking it oh my gosh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] like you she said I don't know now with crying emojis so which one is it just one thing just one yeah do we want to take you you make me want bow so oh it's this one oh my god I'm never gonna leave the game so I'm just gonna play with your siblings I guess you are kind of cute [Music] can you help you gave the boat the same amount of lovin she has actually raising two Oh Bella had 12 and it was just like too much for her so we took two when she had hers three days later we took two of hers so how many yes yes so that was a little bit of a vlog that we got aren't they the cutest things ever I'm definitely gonna go ahead and film when we go and pick her up and we're gonna do another little vlog for that so we have a lot of stuff in here drop this bin from Walmart because when we get the puppy the puppy will be traveling with me wherever I go so that way I can go ahead and train it and not leave this dress on my parent those part of the deal with my mom so it's gonna be bouncing from my house to my fiance's apartment so I just want to be able to brought everything and like this and take it from place to place and everything seems to fit in here so the one reason I want to a Dalmatian is because of 101 Dalmatians that was my absolute favorite cartoon when I was three years old and it still is my favorite I watch it all the time so the girls are blue and the boys are red collared so born with a blue theme for her and if she ends up getting a brother sometime down the road his colours will be red I got a lot of stuff from Walmart Walmart is one of the most affordable places to go ahead and get pet supplies I'm gonna start off with this I got a blue beach towel I should have got more than one beach towels are a lot bigger than bath towels because they're meant for you to like lay out so this I thought would be perfect to go ahead and put on my in my car for her to sit and lay on when we go get her and then obviously when she's traveling with me say don't want her to shed all over my car obviously I wanted a water bowl and so she plastic is what has always worked for us the best I'm not a huge fan of anything else as long as you clean it it doesn't really get that disgusting or anything these big bowls were actually only 94 cents each how crazy is that these are extra large and these are gonna be used as water bowls now I got this black one because this is the only one that they had at the one Walmart and I was like 90 cents yeah that's great so I went ahead and got this one and then today obviously they had a bluish to1 it looks a lot more blue on camera but it's actually like a greeny teal so we have to so I'm just gonna end up leaving one at the apartment and having one here I obviously wanted a little food mat this is what the mat looks like I got it because it's black and white and it has little paw prints all over it and this was I think four dollars so that's not that bad it is water absorbing I was trying to see if maybe a bath mat would be cheaper but they're definitely not cheaper now I got some training pads I've never a huge training path before when we play trained my dog but this one I don't want to pee in this house anyway and at the apartment because it will just be too much to clean so I was thinking about using these but I also don't want my dog to rely on these I don't really know how you train with these I really only bought these to line the crate if for some reason I have like work or if I can't be with her and want her to be in the crate so I thought maybe getting one of these and make it a little bit easier to clean if she always uses the past so I was trying to find out what treats she could eat because she's a Dalmatian they're high risk for kidney stones and urinary stones and all that so it's going through a bunch of lists and this is one of the things on the list that said that donations can eat I haven't done any more research so I haven't I'm obviously not gonna opening it and I saw the receipt so if I decide to return it I can but these are Purina dental life so there's 10 shoes in here there's one acid in here that I'm kind of worried about but other than that I don't know it also says citric acid which I know isn't the best fur so I'm gonna go ahead and do some more research on these but I know that greenies are good for your dog because it takes like they can't digest it that well so maybe just to give her one of these like maybe once a month these would be good to help with our teeth and then she can digest it since it's just a small amount of acid and it's not overwhelming there's really not that much in here but yeah so I got these these are a form of a treat but I'm not going to be like using them as a treat again you know maybe give her one to chew on once a month or something let me know if you know anything about this if it's good or not and if you have a Dalmatian any diet tips I would love to hear in the comments down below since this is you know something new to me and trying to go based off of a diet I wanted to get her a little rawhide bone and I know that there's some good brands and some not good brands and people have different opinions on these but this is an old roid dog treat I think this was like 40 cents or something and it's just a cute little bone this one was just natural beef hi chew for dogs so this one doesn't have any flavoring or any artificial stuff in it because that was something I didn't want to get so I'm gonna be taking her everywhere with me I obviously wanted to get a set of bags so this is only three dollars and I have one in my Amazon cart that was blue to go with the blue theme and then it came with a bag just like this one but it was seven dollars and that was the cheapest one I could find on there so then I actually saw this one I was like well it's a fire hydrant and she's like a firefighter so I think it fits obviously to go with that I had to get a retractable leash I really like rechargeable leashes I think these are great in the cars model because you can go ahead and use the seat belt and buckle this part in so that way they're secured in that sense so I just got this one this one's for dogs up to 40 pounds so she'll obviously be a little bit small for this when you first get her but it is blue and it's just a retractable leash and this was I think 11 dollars then we went ahead and got a little collar for her that is also blue this is for 14 to 20 inches so this will be about the size that she'll be when we get her I think maybe a little bit smaller we'll see we'll adjust it it says for medium dogs obviously when she gets bigger she will need a bigger collar but this was only I think $3 or $4 at Walmart and they sell the same exact brand at Pet Supplies Plus and it's super freaking expensive oh my goodness it's like ridiculous for like a collar it's like 10 or 12 dollars and I'm like I know she's gonna grow out of it I know I'm gonna have to rebuy it so I just got this cheap one and it is blue and I can't wait to go ahead and get a dog tag I'm thinking about getting a Pokeball dog tag because we're gonna be taking our Pokemon hunting with us so I'm looking at that on Amazon and seeing which cute designs they have for that but this is the collar I got to start her off with and then Walmart has toys that are only ninety cents how crazy is that so I got a bunch of toys for her so my dog loves this down she's already getting excited these aren't for you honey so she has a cactus and it was on sale for like 350 antibiotics it was just really cute these are only 94 cents they don't have Mane designs they have an egg a bone and they have a chicken but said she's a puppy and she's gonna destroy them anyway I thought the egg was the cute one but we just got one of each so she has one for here and once in the apartment and then since we have one for each place I got two ropes and these are like a teal blue color and orange also got which obviously because they're blue but I know that this part will be really good for her when she's teething with her baby teeth so again got two of those and then we only got one set of these he thinks that she will like tennis balls I've never had a dog that actually likes tennis balls and these are only ninety cents they actually sell some nerf ones and it's like a five pack and it's like five dollars but if you were to get five dollars worth of these do get ten tennis balls so these are just a cheap brand of tennis ball I don't know if they're good or not I don't have any experience with these but again ninety cents for two of them I can't really complain about that and these were the only color options that they had so we'll just stick with those and that's everything that I got from Walmart so everything was pretty much like $1 the training pads are only three dollars everything there was like four dollars and under except for the retractable leash so I can't complain about that I think I spent around 35 or 40 dollars on all that stuff which isn't bad at all and then today I went to at the pet store so I went to Pet Supplies Plus the specific to the dog bowl that I wanted is one like this so it has stuff in it somebody they don't eat so fast I guess it's really good for digestion and it doesn't skid because it's got this rubber stuff on it I wanted to get one of these I don't know why see a lot of people use these I thought there was like a rubber one this is plastic so I hope that she can eat out of it okay we'll see how she does with it $6 at the pet store but at Walmart to get one that's like this tall was like eight dollars and it was teal but it was like really flimsy plastic so this will go until she's an adult I think this is a really good size and then they actually had to deal on treats there so I wanted to go ahead and get some more healthier treats for her as well it was 2 for $10 so the one I got was I think $6 originally and the other one I think was like $8 originally so this brand is natural balance li t limited ingredient treats so it's grain free great for puppies through it no artificial flavors or colors and this is sweet potato and venison flavor so this is the one that I thought looked I don't know they had a bunch of different flavors but I went ahead and got this one I think these would be really good to give like you know one with her meal so she'll get like two a day I think that that's okay I didn't really want to use these for training because of the citric acid in them and you want to overdo it so I just want to hang off this brand if you guys like this brand let me know or if you have any good brands that aren't too expensive let me know in the comments down below again help me out I'm not afraid to like share that this is the stuff that I'm buying but all the ingredients seem pretty good it has a really good amount of protein in it which is good for them I didn't want to go ahead and be careful with the citric acid and there is some in this but not a lot this one which is Chicken Soup for the Soul dog treats and this actually had a sticker on it for three dollars off so the next one I get I don't get the three dollars off and they're just made with real peanut butter so I thought that these would be really good for training they're a pretty small size I might break them in half but they're literally like this big so I thought this would be really good for training her and it says the ingredients are there's actually there's no citric acid in these at all it's got eight percent protein in it but there's no acid in this at all which is awesome so I'm really hoping that she likes these and then maybe we'll go ahead and get these for her her meals when we're done training her I don't think that would be too expensive either because she'll just get like two of these in her dish so this should probably last us like a month with how tiny they are and how many you get in here when I was at the pet store one thing that I wanted to get was a harness I love using harnesses on dogs I don't like how people strain the neck so my little chihuahua has her own little harness so I wanted to go ahead and get a harness for cinder they were $18 and then $13 so it's $13 for the small size and then $18 for the size that she was going to end up becoming so I was like uh outlook on it was on her something I was driving by and I saw a big lots and I was like maybe they have pet stuff and they did have pet stuff so the first thing I got was this way it rattles and it squeaks oh my god Tinky wants it you wanna smell it you can't play with this this is too big for you but it's a blue doughnut which is super cute and obviously theme appropriate and it has rattles in it and it's really big squeakers so I hope that she likes this I only got one of these though because this is $3 but there is no stuffing in it so I hope that she likes saying there she ends up liking I can always go and get her another one but when I was there I saw these harnesses and this is actually the same exact brand at least the one is that they had at the pet store that they're trying to sell for $18 I got this for when she is obviously bigger but it is bright blue the same exact color as the color that we got her and I just really liked how this one looked in comparison to the rest of them but this you guys is only five dollars and then while she's a puppy I wanted to get her a little bit of a cuter one and this one was actually only $4.50 this one was a little bit cheaper I mean it is a smaller size but it's the same blue but it's also got this pretty yellow pattern on it so it's actually blue and yellow and yellow is such a happy color and it is the same exact style it's a different brand this one's called pet love and this is for small dogs so this is up to 20 pounds so when she's a puppy and I just thought this was so precious with the coloring on it and it does match our theme it is the blue still so that's all the supplies that I need the only thing I haven't gotten is a dog bed but I'm just gonna wait until we actually have her and just take her to the pet store the day that we get her to get her dog bed actually did a job where he fixed a lady's computer today and as payment she gave me a huge dog crate so I can go ahead and crate train her and it will last until she's actually fully grown is made for black labs so they're in like the same size category so it is freaking huge though yeah I'm super excited to give a puppy I spent under I want to say I spent around $100 on all of this cuz $40 from Walmart $10 and treats the harnesses so between like 80 and $100 is what I spend everything that I just showed you guys and then the only thing I need left is a bed and I obviously saved $80 by getting that crate gifted to me so I love
