Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I just finished Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, and one thing that I found truly helpful that this video didn't quite gloss over was the idea of focussing your energy on your directing mind.
Negative things outside of our control can, do and will happen, but the feelings that last in our minds aren't from the initial action but our perception and judgement of the action. Aurelius argued that to be angry at the bad man for doing badly is to be naive and stupid to the fact that of course the bad man will do badly!
Focussing on how you react to things, focussing on what you yourself perceive to be important, can take away so much stress from outside stimulus.
Of course, there is so much more spoken about in the book, and I'd greatly recommend it to everyone.
