Philippines Secret Island Hunt! 🇵🇭

good morning guys from nakapan beach el nido i'm going to be going to a remote island today we're going to be swimming to one of these islands uh el nido is famous for having many islands and so we're going to be heading to one of them apparently no one lives there people do own these islands a rich man but no one's there apart from maybe the security guards i was wanting to go to that island but we're on a time constraint so i think we're gonna go to this one here or maybe that one um so um yeah gonna head and also i'm gonna buy myself a little treat to have there we're also joined by ali machan he's got the life jacket on because he can't swim and uh because he's going to be going in the kayak and i'm going to be swimming hello sir um do you have uh san miguel san miguel hello sir over here yeah okay i pay here no oh not with you i did see the san miguel's over here but i wasn't sure where to get them hello boy yeah ah here he is mr san miguel oh you have a cold thank you sir i would take the red horse but this is going to be hard to swim with so san miguel it is and uh we're probably going to struggle to open it but uh we'll figure that one out when we're on the island maybe the security guards can help us um yeah this is nan kapan beach guys absolutely incredible goes all the way up there and probably one of the best beaches i've ever been to in my life but we haven't been to this beach or this beach yet so that one looks incredible but i'm just not sure if we have time for it hello you play a game good job where is mr san miguel gone hello buddy can i you like that oh yeah you like that ah here we go uh one please sir oh uh okay just realized he opened it we're gonna have to drink it before then oh well sorry uh you have changed well looks like we're having it before the swim after the swim and this ah actually i reckon i can probably keep it above the water oh no this is gonna be so hard because i'm gonna be filming in one hand that means i can't swim oh maybe i can give it to ali on the kayak we'll see either that or i'm downing it before we swim because uh a wise man once said never waste a san miguel this is your toolbox well okay 400. hello sir how are you good how are you the dog wants some change what's he playing video game yeah is it popular what's the name ml ml yeah learning what the kids are playing okay thank you very much sir bye-bye all right let's go oh ali is ready he's ready all right there's mr kayak seller okay sir see you on the other side if we don't make it back in a few hours then call search and rescue definitely won't do that also i forgot to put sun cream on oops i'll be all right well it is fairly early it's like 9am so hello uh bit of an issue i uh i asked for one beer but he took the lid off oh okay so there's two options you have it in the kayak somehow but i was hoping maybe a drinks holder there's not so that's option one gone option two there's three options option two is i try and swim with it okay option three is i i drink it before i think slamming it's probably not the best time yeah did you not put the lid kind of back on and you bite it down i think so i'll drink it before sure yeah after swimming okay it'll make the journey more fun all right i'll uh i'll kayak slowly i'll keep it inside if you need to jump back on and uh which of the islands are you thinking of the the bigger one or the smaller one uh i think probably the first one because it has a security guard on apparently a what security guard security guard okay so the man was telling me these islands are all owned by a very rich man and uh they this one and this one definitely have security cards so you're allowed to go for a few hours but it'll be interesting to see what the security of the house does on a daily basis basically living now so we'll go there you go i've also got your money okay i don't need to tell you guys but this is just incredible clear blue water like light blues coconut trees and uh white sands and just little mini islands all right it's time to colonize the philippines i'm joking guys [Music] bloody british no um we're just going to go on holiday to this island we're not going to colonize it the philippines has gone through enough of that nearly done all right the swim starts i've definitely underestimated this swim i'm a i'm a decent swimmer but i've never done long distance and we have a ferry to catch in about three hours so we can't be too long but uh i've also gotta be ali's carer because he can't swim so this is the recipe for disaster we got a tipsy harry and a non-swimming alley going to a remote island but uh it will be half the fun it will be very fun okay i can still uh i can still walk so i'll just walk until i have to swim i'm also wondering how deep it's gonna get i didn't think about that [Applause] all right here he is the iraqi james bond [Music] well this is going to be a lot harder than i anticipated you want to hold on oh yeah can i catch you the ride yeah i can help be the engine as well hold it on oh yeah oh whoa oh this is easy oh no oh what happened all right i'll let go i can it's gonna be so so much harder than i expected so my plan of they'll swimming ripley we went we weren't quite far out but i just realized that for multiple reasons it's probably probably best if i kayak so yeah man i can i can walk now yeah just uh would have taken me so long to swim there but now he could go so much faster than me so okay i thought it would be funnier to swim but another one of my stupid ideas ah good cardio though very good cardio so we burnt off that beer ah all right let's quickly run and get a kayak and then we'll be back okay here we go 300 it's very steep for one hour but they all all the different kayak sellers have the same price so you can't really uh negotiate but it's okay if it gets us to the islands then i don't care thank you sir here we go thank you yeah thank you very much thank you thank you there we go and we're on all right let's get to ali machan wow this is so much quicker all right we'll get there in no time yeah guys to be honest it wasn't really a case of the length i probably could have done that coming back would be hard for me for me it was more the combination of the the depth of the sea which i didn't think about how deep it would be also like just swimming in open water scares me a little bit i'm happy to do it i just don't like it and then also time just time and i was a little bit tipsy from the beer but uh yeah this is definitely the better option don't know whose idea was to swim but this is better the way better option okay here's ali machan all right round two all right we're making good progress here we are going against the current i think so it's not that easy but we are still gliding through look at ali look at those lats bro maybe i can get in your slip stream but uh now we're probably 15 meters deep now the below service cell so yeah i would not have been comfortable swimming as we get further you can see that the water's starting to get a little bit darker here so you know you're getting into deeper land look at ali fly all right let's see if we can catch up oh we've got some waves this is really a good workout on the laps yeah and there wasn't there isn't as much uh marine life as i was expecting no uh no fish well there's obviously fish but not many not many turtles not much coming out of here no birds maybe it's uh the time although early morning you usually see your turtles but that's more cebu all right we're over halfway now you good ali all right we're nearly there guys look how calm this water is wow this is insane and surprisingly the water's still very clear so i can actually see the bottom i would say probably 15 meters now it's hard to tell but when i was swimming it was 10 meters and we didn't get this far also i can actually see i can see someone on the island which is sick i was really not expecting there to be anyone there and yeah you can see like houses i can see a little cave it's got a little hill this is it's like something that i've like had in my head as like a youtube video idea like going to a secret paradise island but i thought i would have to you know pay a lot of money for it but this is just the cost of a kayak this is where we have to wave like a white flag to show that we're coming peace oh it's super rocky here yeah i think they have good wi-fi we're not coming to uh colonize i promise hello kamusta car mabuhay oh my god this is epic i think people live here i can hear children land ahoy this is paradise hello sir oh look he has a family we come in peace hello this is epic alley all right land ahoy hello hello see friendly hello how are you you are a security guard speak english small okay i love your island nice to meet you nice to meet you you live here yeah yeah security no no no oh you live here wow okay awesome i thought it looks here's just the security huh that's what the guy said but maybe it was for the bigger island wow how do you uh food how do you eat food you get from the mainland food eating you you you buy from here you transport how do you eat don't worry don't worry it's smaller small english fishing fishing fishing octopus wow so i could have been swimming with some octopi is that the plural okay all the way back there we can take a look walk thank you oh what is this he's got a oh he's got like a fish it's like a little mini stingray oh my god we've got a over there look at that i wonder if i can pick him up he looks so friendly it looks like scooby-doo hey boy big rooster over here another one scooby-dooby-doo where are you i don't know if that dog is getting jealous or protective obviously i'm jealous well this has happened this happens when you don't bark so don't bother hey oh you're so cute i want to take him home all right so they got like a little mini house here another house here [Music] he's a loud one look at this guys it's an awesome view and ironically we're actually not very far from the mainland here but this is all kind of you can't walk on this so yeah come on the sand bro very rocky beach and so yeah the the bit here is actually a little sandbar so there's water directly the other side so from the aerial view it looks sick but uh this has been a dream of mine to come to a abandoned island remote island you can see all the different types of uh rock here that's dried up like look at that one seashells so much erosion you know when you watch a david attenborough show yeah like the first fishes that walked on earth oh they're pretty quick these are i guess are descendants or something wow they are jumping fish wow this is like um a good example of how like when you come to somewhere that's not touristic yeah you get to see like real wildlife so i like it i like it snakes yeah but uh i don't think they're very common water snakes i'm not sure do not step on this yeah unfortunately it's not very catered to tourists here which is good but it means that you can't really walk around much maybe we could go up but all right we've come we've come back over i'm just i'm very intrigued as to how these people live it's one of like my main like curiosity when i come to these places so we're going to ask if we can have a look at ah nice to meet you nice to meet you you are fishing they got a baby baby it looks like it's got fleas can i have a look inside i have a look inside this your house here oh this this your house house okay so we got like a little bedroom in here and then a hammock here and uh cooking cooking you eat fish fish kitchen kitchen so it's like a one bedroom studio [Music] octopus oh my god whoa this is how you catch it oh my god that's such a cool contraption how many octopus in one day look at that [Music] tomorrow two pieces oh that's a good catch nice good pitch how many years you live here uh four years three years you you enjoy better than mainland wow this is so epic i did not expect people to live here good wi-fi wi-fi oh yeah it's like nemo oh it's like dory hello you ever have a typhoon here it's okay don't worry no it's uh if typhoon come i would be very scared yeah very very uh dangerous okay thank you so much nice to meet you awesome sir thank you all right had a sick time at the island such a nice guy didn't speak very good english as expected but he really tried and i i feel bad when they uh are trying to speak english but they they can't but that means i need to learn more tagalog and yes really nice guy really cool so unique like those are the experiences that i will remember for a long time because like the man lives on a secluded island on his own with his family like that's a lot of people's goals like that's my goal actually i'm going to quit youtube and just do that like the only thing he has to worry about is what he's going to eat and where he's going to sleep like there's no other worries there's no worries like what's his boss thinking or you know what's deirdre why deidre is cheated on her husband or what's the latest gossip about diana it's like jesus christ all he's got to worry about is his fish and his octopus anyway i need to get back ali's gone way ahead we've also got a ferry to catch in a couple of hours so i've got to get back very quick so we'll do an expedited trip back i'll put you guys in there and then we'll get on with it let's see let's put the power in all right oh god slow start i'm slowly getting the hang of this all right we're nearly back this is absolutely grueling on the shoulders it's a serious shoulder workout but it's good to get the morning cardio and i haven't been able to go to the gym so this is my gym workout it's just incredible such a sick experience so nice there we go back onto mainland we made it bro all right we made it bro well done how was that view tiring man it's uh so it looks pretty close huh it's very far much further than you think that was epic though and now uh we're going to do a quick change yep this 100 i just take that and that and you thank you oh awesome nice to meet you where are you here on holiday yeah holiday [Music] here yeah this is the difference between island life and uh tourist life the tourist life thank you sir with a little bit of spanish music have a look at this meat they're cooking i smell oh baby look at
