Persona vs Honkai star rail: What's the difference?

honkai staro and Persona I know it's a little weird to make a comparison between these two but hey why not so a little history about these two games anai stero is a game developed by mihoyo in 2019 and released in 2023 they are the same developers to make our beloved kenin impact oh fun fact hanai staro is mihoyo's first attempt at a turn-based game and it was also heavily inspired by the Persona series hence this video on the other hand we have Persona previously known as Shane Mega M Persona was primarily developed by Atlas in 1996 the Persona game that we're going to be comparing stario to will be Persona 5 and Persona 3 reload so let's get to our first comparison of the video UI design game UI is probably one of the most important aspects of a game it allows you to interact with menus for you to equip weapons armor and much much more we see this both in hongkai Star Rail and and Persona honai sto's UI is similar to genin having a specific slot for weapons artifacts and skill levels it has a great sorting system which makes the use experience easier it's it's good and it's functional meanwhile persona's UI ooh boy Persona has one of the best uis in the history of gaming just look at it it's beautiful everything is soow flowy it's so stylized and it's super unique it just makes it so enjoyable every time you interact with it yeah it may sound like I'm a Persona dict Rider well yes I am I am a Persona dict Rider so even though we don't see it in stario mihoyo's upcoming game zenazone zero as a stylish UI and I can't wait for it to be released so I can see Nicole all it up overall both are pretty good based on usability but Persona Takes the Cake for it as it's just more special next up we have graphics and cutscene Graphics in games are what makes games attract itive both stario and Persona have good graphics in their own way stario has bright colors that just pop when you look at it Persona on the other hand focuses more on the style each character moves differently depending on their personality cut scenes on the other hand I got to say man Hong Kai star's cut scene is so [ __ ] beautiful now don't get me wrong Persona has some really good cut scenes but man stario is just on another level uh editor here there was actually a soundtrack compared but I decided not to cuz different people have different taste in music so yeah that's not going to be a music comparison sorry music fans finally we have gameplay both games are 10 based and let's get some basic understanding for both of these games for stario it uses a point system using a skill costs a point where basic attack generates a point after a few rounds each character will have enough energy to unleash their ultimate different characters have different uses for example some characters ultimate heal and some of them does damage one of the main mechanics of honai stario is mixing your team and making sure that the team synergizes enemies have a toughness bar that can be decreased using the elements that the enemies are weak to after the toughness of our breaks the enemy enters a down state where they would receive more damage Persona on the other hand is a little more simple during battle a turn can only perform a single action things like standard attacks Magic attacks using items and guarding are all considered one single action either side can strike a weakness which deuse more damage than other attacks Landing a weakness or critical hit allows the player or the enemy an extra turn if all enemies are knocked the party can perform an all out attack which looks like [Music] this just like we plan ultimately the battles in Persona are going to be a little bit easier as you don't have to farm for [ __ ] artifacts overall the gameplay for both Persona and hwai staro is really really good and why did I make this video you ask I don't know I I was having a battle with my [ __ ] and I just thought of this video uh if you enjoyed this video uh be sure to give it a like subscribe yeah I'll see you soon bye
