ancient mysteries of the Great Sphinx of Giza although the first thing that comes to mind when people think of ancient Egypt is the great stone pyramids the massive and mysterious Fink's follows close behind this enigmatic structure is confounded historians and researchers for millennia and unexplained mysteries still surround it did it have a lion's head are there fabled chambers beneath how many thousands of years old is it the Sphinx of Giza allows people to peer into the far past to wonder and marvel at the ancient buildings techniques and a question who or what first thought up its unique form within its giant stones and stony expression many hope that more secrets will be revealed what is its true purpose and how does it relate to the nearby Pyramids of Giza it's been studied and researched many times various experts all claim to know the truth but out there in the blowing sand of the Egyptian wastes near Cairo a lot more questions come to light are the strange tales of the builders the Companions of Horus true when exactly was Zep tepi the first time of the Sphinx is there a second Sphinx buried in the sand these ancient mysteries of the Great Sphinx of Giza will demonstrate just how unique and mysterious the structure really is you may end up with more questions than you have answers for these are questions that all truth seekers want to find answers to answers that some people would rather not be found despite some historians and Egyptologists attempting to block research about the Sphinx of Giza independent experts still strive to figure out just who built it when and for what purpose don't forget the present occupiers of Egypt aren't ancient Egyptian in origin they would easily rip down the pyramids and everything else on the Giza Plateau if they could this city of Cairo is built from casing blocks of the Great Pyramid it wasn't just used as a quarry it was seen and still is as an idolatry to be destroyed genuine transparent research is the last thing on the agenda we've already seen priceless Mesopotamian artifacts and cities obliterated in the world news today Egypt is becoming a similar melting pot and may follow suit the Sphinx was buried in sand many archeologists have gone to Egypt throughout the years to try to unbury the secrets of the pyramids and the Sphinx however the majority of them in the early years only saw part of its head Napoleon himself traveled to Egypt in 1798 and at that time the body of the Sphinx was completely buried by the shifting dunes of sand when you look at early photographs taken by European explorers the landscape looks quite different than it does today obviously these Sphinx was not buried when it was constructed how many years did it take for those mountains of sand to blow across the desert and bury it again some of these early explorers tried to dig around the Sphinx to uncover more of its structure but they all gave up until the early 1900s the names of the famous men who tried and failed include Giovanni Couvillion professional Egyptologist Auguste Mariette and archaeologists from friends and guests on ma sparrow another famed Egyptologist of the 19th century these were people who well-funded teams who were intrigued by all the secrets the ancient Egyptian structures hid things changed around 1925 when emile baraize an engineer from france orchestrated one of the largest excavation projects in the history of the world it took him and his team more than 10 years to dig down to the base of the ancient and massive statue the project was completed in 1936 and caused a worldwide resurgence of interest in Egyptology and the mysteries of an ancient land deserts are practically fluid and the sins of Giza undoubtedly blue across the Egyptian landscape for many millennia of course when the Sphinx was built it would have been exposed for all the sea if the sand buried at that much since it was constructed it brings to mind questions about what else is below the sand in fact some wonder if the pyramids are partially buried as well due to the depths of the sand surrounding the Sphinx many researchers believe it to be an obvious conclusion that other structures and possibly even another Sphinx will someday be found below the sand the size of the excavation project would be massive however and quite expensive getting permission from the Egyptian government would likewise be nearly impossible also if the pyramids are on top of the sand which they appear to be and the nearby Sphinx was buried it seems to mean that they were built at completely different times although assumptions are made by modern Egyptologists the mystery surrounding who built the Sphinx and when still persists there are no records that answer these questions no builders inscription was left when you look at a simple photograph of the Sphinx you can feel the grandeur and power emanating from the massive structure to stand in front of it and gaze up at the towering head and body must have been quite an experience for the early Egyptians this will be made exceptionally magnificent because it was apparently painted in bright colors long ago there are still signs of yellow and blue paint on the stone in some patches despite the apparent importance of this gigantic structure no inscriptions or records were kept that states who built it or who was responsible for ordering it bill likewise there are no dates of construction or hieroglyphic messages explaining what it was for if you look at the pyramids or other structures left behind by ancient Egyptians nearly everyone has a carved cartouche a or steel depicting who built them were ordered the building of them people were proud of their accomplishments and pharaohs were eager to have their names put on magnificent structures and projects why not the Sphinx this of course opens the Sphinx up to a lot of speculation and curiosity there are a few theories floating around the more mundane Egyptology circles most believe that the Pharaoh Khafre was the one who ordered it carved out of the limestone this comes from a tablet called the dream stele which was found buried beneath the Sphinx's pause during excavation this tablet is covered with signs and symbols that seem to put these fixes instruction in the hands of the Pharaoh to toast the fourth who ruled during the 18th dynasty however part of these Steel's writings does not make sense when viewed in conjunction with other hieroglyphs and monuments at that time instead of stating unequivocally that - most had the Sphinx built it tells a pleasant story about him falling asleep in its shadow and waking up to learn that he would arise to be king with the help of her Marcus a God used in Egypt who may or may not be represented by the Sphinx sometimes called Horus of the horizon he was also part of the Greek pantheon under this name how historians move from a tablet with the story of a sleeping Prince to the assumption that to most had the Sphinx built makes no sense at all in fact it seems all the dream stele does is relate who was responsible for creating the tablet itself the tomb of Osiris is real within the Egyptian pantheon some gods and goddesses were said to be real physical beings while others were more like current-day deities only ideas or concepts the deities with physical bodies who walked among the humans of the time are very similar to the Anunnaki and other extraterrestrial beings from Sumerian and other ancient cultures Osiris is commonly thought to be one that falls in the latter description of the gods of Egypt he was never said to have taken physical form one curious find near the sphinx flies in the face of this commonly held belief however a building adjacent to the sphinx has a long shaft leading inside to a chamber clearly written here is a sign that says the shaft leads to Osiris is tomb how could the mere concept of a God have an actual final resting place or is it possible that this God really lived as a physical being when taken into account with other evidence of outside influence on the ancient Egyptian and other civilizations the idea that a God was both physically present and absent makes some sense this is especially true with the alien theory of ancient gods whichever one represented Osiris could have been away from Earth for much of the time mud succumb to age or illness while here and was buried in the tomb near the Sphinx researchers who have a wider interest in multiple ancient civilizations and how they were affected and influenced by godlike extraterrestrials introduced another possibility the Sumerian Anunnaki are represented in Egypt by many from their pantheon of gods and goddesses Osiris Anubis and other deities could have been real beings who were worshipped due to their advanced technology and the assistance they gave the people of the time it fits with the alignment of the pyramids in the Sphinx this mysterious tomb of a God that supposedly had no physical body and the newest revelations of similar structures on the surface of Mars the tomb itself is quite complex it has multiple passageways and chambers with carvings and bass relief pictures representing Osiris any guise as the god of the underworld the legends surrounding this unique God include living dying and being brought back to life possibly with some advanced medical technology a goddess being impregnated with a golden phallus with the gods seat in it possibly some type of medical fertility system between the alien beings and humans and the ultimate birth of sons who would bring forth new light and and evil was the Sphinx really Anubis trying to figure out who or what these Fink's represents has always been a struggle for researchers and historians to the mundane explanation is that the face shows the Pharaoh Khafre but other more intriguing explanations exist did they build such a massive structure of an animal escape for a simple king or was it a gigantic representation of something that was never human although some people put forth the idea that these Fink's could be a lion crouching in the sand or constructed to honor the constellation Leo these ideas have little support or evidence first of all the way the Sphinx is lying does not match how a lion crouches down second the artwork and records from the Egyptian society we know about do not put Lions and any important places or give them special status it does not make sense that such a massive undertaking would happen for an ordinary animal that had no strong symbolic meaning to the people of the time when it comes to physical accuracy and societal status one animal like figure does exist in ancient Egypt however Anubis a God that took the form of a giant dog was responsible for guarding the necropolis or the City of the Dead what could indicate the spot where the dead lie better than three gigantic pyramidal tombs if you look at a picture of Anubis lying down and the Sphinx overlaid on it it makes perfect sense that the giant statue was originally representative of the Anubis god the face of course is quite different now Anubis like the tall thin hounds found in Egypt and other desert countries back then heads straight tall ears and a long pointed snout if the Anubis figure was built 12,000 years ago with a long snout and ears a much later Pharaoh could have ordered it changed to suit his own ego it seems this type of change or reclaiming of older temples tombs and art pieces were done regularly all around the globe [Music] geology points to earlier times these scholars who say the Sphinx was built only about 4000 years ago do so mainly because that seems to be the height of ancient Egyptian civilization in that area however recently this has more to do with the fact that they've not dug any deeper after finding the first clues as research continues and various types of documentation are compared between civilizations a much earlier date of construction becomes obvious the late John Anthony West a pioneer a genius and independent Egyptology who studied the massive chunk of limestone that the Sphinx was carved out of for many years with a footnote in a book by RA schwa l'heure de Lubitz he found definite evidence of water erosion on the sides of the massive structure instead of it being sudden due to rainfall after the excavation process completed the damage appears to have taken hundreds or even thousands of years he rallied around top geologists to confirm or prove the words of RA swaller de Lubitz it would make sense for there to be a rosin caused by wind and blowing sand logic tells us that the Sphinx was completely uncovered while it was being built and probably for some time after that then it was covered by sand for a while the dream stele mentioned above tells the fable about how it was uncovered once more finally more sand came to bury it up to its neck before more modern archaeologists dug it out it however wind and sand create different patterns of erosion than water does blowing sand moves horizontally across the stone while water would flow mostly vertically downward the only way water would cause horizontal erosion is if there was a river flowing past the stone no one claims that there was ever a river running around the Sphinx the erosion comes from rainfall which brings about another entire set of questions Egypt especially the desert around Giza is not known for a lot of precipitation in fact physical records of the earth show that the majority of rain fell anywhere between 8,000 to 12,000 years before that john anthony west openly stated the sphinx comes from a much older civilization of highly intelligent and creative people that existed 12,000 years ago as a minimum but he liked the idea of a full precessional some 26,000 years as the ice age 12,000 years ago was a tumultuous time to build anything never mind the Sphinx if you delve deeper into the mysteries of these huge construction projects focused on ancient gods and kings you find some people who put these Sphinx constitution date even earlier than that the Sphinx has existed since the first times because the Sphinx was buried and the Pyramids at Giza were not it already stands to reason that they were not contemporaries of each other combine this with no records of the Sphinx being built and the origin stories burst wide open to various theories and speculations if we look back at the dream stele that spoke of the Pharaoh to be uncovering the Sphinx we find that it gives more information about when the structure may have come into being the dream stele does not tell the story about the Sphinx being built instead it talks about it being uncovered this means it existed long before the stele was put in place there's only one line that says anything about the Sphinx is age quite simply and clearly it says I have been here since the first times this not only highlights the origin of the Sphinx but also speaks of a mysterious time when modern man originated as well the ancient Egyptians called it Zep tepi these first times were described in various records and ancient writings as being when deities and humans walked the earth together of course there are some who speak against the ancient Egyptian idea and that Zep tepi is simply a folktale with no basis in fact Egyptology detest the Zep tepi concept and the associated followers of Horus called the Shem Suh whore presumably as it directly speaks of alien origins whether you label them deities Atlanteans Nephilim or the eight progenitors of ancient Egypt called the oak node Egyptology on many occasions including the Sphinx professes to know more about ancient Egypt than the ancient Egyptians themselves however these days it's more difficult for them to get away with this the monopoly on the information is much less after all the Egyptian deities have strong ties to earlier Sumerian gods and goddesses called the Anunnaki these don't fax from other archaeology fields are outside their control the Anunnaki were said to have come to earth even before modern humankind existed and helped orchestrate their evolution for various purposes ancient Egyptians believed their pharaohs to be both men and gods which aligns with the idea of the Anunnaki and human hybrids various believes about the three Pyramids of Giza have existed for many years including one that says they're much older than Egyptology knowledge states if the pyramids and the Sphinx are older than the last ice age the question about who built them obviously becomes much more interesting although some may dismiss these ideas as unbelievable the amount of actual evidence for them cannot be denied it's ages truly in question dates of the Sphinx have been thrown out to be 4,500 years old 7,000 BC 12,000 BC one processional cycle 26,000 years or more and even 800,000 years old why would this ancient structure in Egypt if more than 8,000 years earlier than mainstream researchers suggest be known to the ancient Egyptians in Zep tepi terms if truly older it must have been relatively close in time to them to attribute the Companions of Horus and deities as their builders perhaps as far as a precessional cycle but further than that seems unlikely more than one Sphinx the desert land in Egypt is vast and mostly unexplored by experts or archaeologists if the entire Sphinx was buried in the sand at one time up to its neck it stands to reason that more magnificent structures could also be hidden by the sands of time there could be dozens or even hundreds that have yet to be on earth or perhaps never will be this is especially true because the Egyptian government frequently turns down requests at archaeological digs and surveys one of the things that some scholars say may be a very good possibility is that there could be a second Sphinx hidden under the sand of course many things could be hidden from view in the land occupied by the ancient Egyptian civilization the suggestion that a sphinx is near the first one has been put forth by Jiri cannon and Malcolm Hutton popular researchers and authors who share this idea they want to publish their theories and share them with the curious world the main reason why these researchers believe in other sphinx is a possibility lies in the Egyptian artwork found in many places in the majority of Sphinx pictures or carvings there are two facing each other rather than one alone not only does the idea of a second Sphinx make sense for this reason they believe that the pair would represent the ancient Egyptian belief that the Sun transformed into the moon and then back again as the day and night changed another apparent use of these fixes and other pieces of artwork was as guardians or gates at an entranceway to the land of the dead Egyptians called these places where the dead dwell necropolis entryways flanked by animalistic deities sphinxes or other animals are occasionally motifs in their art if there is not another massive Sphinx carved out of the stone under the stand it's possible that another one was planned or started and then abandoned perhaps this happened as the ones orchestrating the building left the land or when the climate changed and the sand began to bury the finished one this also presumes the Egyptians built the Sphinx and not alien gods the Sphinx speaks to Pharaoh's according to folklore passed down through ancient Egypt the King to most the fourth did not give up his habit of sleeping in front of the Sphinx even after he grew up these stories tell of a sphinx that's already buried in the sand so that only its head sticks out this alone makes the idea that he had anything to do with its construction impossible the story that the Sphinx has had alone was sticking out of the sand AUSA Linda Cates that he was alive well after the Sphinx was built and not nearly at the same time after all all that sand could not fill in the gap in just a few years or even in a decade in the stories - most would have wild dreams that these Fink's talk to him regularly he was supposedly instructed to uncover the Sphinx's body and in return the structure would magically make him the next pharaoh even though his lineage did not support his ascension to the throne this legend which is inscribed on the dream stele between the four legs of the Sphinx went on to describe how - most woke up and immediately began digging up the Sphinx there's no indication that he hired a large crew of laborers or used slaves to do the work it did however say that he succeeded in his task and thus became Pharaoh over Egypt if the dream stele is to be believed the Sphinx was already well covered in the sand when - most was young he dug it up something that took an organized more modern crew over ten years to accomplish many thousands of years later and then the space around it filled in again after his death and before rediscovery by both local and European researchers this makes the timeline of the Sphinx existence seemed longer and longer - most the fourth was the grandfather of another meaningful and rather controversial person who appears later in Egyptian history the Nephilim looking Akhenaten he was King Tut's father what made a mysterious was his supposed claim to be the last alien Pharaoh of Egypt in all imagery his skull was elongated his body weak and his legacy rather sullied three tombs were found for him one with his actual mummified body and a damaged death mask that shows the priests did not find favor with him perhaps as alien DNA formerly a source of strength for the people there had dwindled down to a problem at any rate this could face to most the fourth as one of the offspring of extraterrestrial visitors did the Sphinx itself tell him to unbury its massive bulk from the sand or was it one of the bee who led him and his people who came from another world one basic answer to why the Sphinx was covered with sand and not eroded by it completely lies in its physical makeup whoever carved the massive structure did so to create something impressive out of a giant lump of limestone in the desert the general idea is that the limestone was always there and someone way back in history ordered it to be made into something depicting one of the deities or figures from legend the Sphinx is 66 feet or 20 meters tall and 240 feet or 73 meters long this makes it the biggest Sphinx that anyone has ever found in fact it's one of the largest sculptures anywhere on earth there's no mistake that it's quite impressive and commands the landscape surrounding it if the original impetus for the creation of the Sphinx was a limestone outcropping that jutted out of the sand then it's simply magnificent that either the ancient Egyptians or mysterious beings who helped them build their society could carve such a statue imagine humans with no advanced technology climbing all over a 70 foot tall rock using chisels and hammers to construct a perfect statue with smooth features and colorful paint there's no mistake that carving the Sphinx out of a solid chunk of limestone in the middle of the desert was a fantastic feat of art craft and engineering like the pyramids nearby suppositions ran wild about who truly orchestrated the construction since the Sphinx seems almost to be older than them the idea of extraterrestrial assistance makes more sense than ever it makes sense that such magnificent examples of architecture and construction could not be completed with only the primitive tools and knowledge of the people who live back then to add to this mystery a nearby Sphinx temple has also been discovered emerging from the sands it was constructed as many large blocks of stone of around 200 tons they appear to have been dug up and shaped at the same time workers were carving the Sphinx out of the naturally occurring limestone block these Sphinx guards the Hall of Records mysterious shafts leading to tombs of beings either godlike or extraterrestrial make the area surrounding the Sphinx mysterious enough the idea that there are hallways or chambers inside or underneath the massive structure also intrigued researchers and scholars after all there are many inside and around the pyramids nearby undoubtedly there are many more that have not yet been found below the shifting sands of the Giza Plateau many people have studied the possibility of a Hall of Records in the ground underneath the main Sphinx statue this would have likewise been carved out of the solid limestone native to that part of the desert with the history of deep sand filling in and being dug out of the space around the Sphinx multiple times any passages or chambers underneath could well be covered this Hall has been mentioned in legends and tales of long ago and it's knowledge is said to cover everything from the more mundane parts of ancient Egyptian history to time all the way back to the beginning of humankind's adventure on the planet the knowledge contained within on papyrus scrolls and tablets could rival that of the Lost Library of Alexandria some even surmise that information about Atlantis and Nibiru the Anunnaki rogue planet could exist in there were the beings who put down this knowledge alien beings who came down to engineer human civilizations and help people advance an amazing ways were these the same who were allowed it as gods and goddesses throughout the ancient world some believers even insist that these survivors of Atlantis who left their Mediterranean city after it succumbed to the sea migrated into the Egyptian area perhaps it was them who stored their history and interactions with advanced guides from another world to ancient Greeks named Herodotus and Strabo recorded what they said they personally witnessed of the vast underground libraries before they disappeared beneath the sands they described the spaces as vaster than any library in Greece this underground labyrinth of rooms was actually discovered and quickly suppressed a bit farther away from the Sphinx one expert who's helped reveal a lot of the details about this Hall of Records is the renowned psychic Edgar Cayce through his channeling and far-seeing abilities he's provided a detailed look through the rock and under the Sphinx into this Hall of Records his prediction and viewings of such mysterious places have proven accurate in the past so many believe what he says about this one the sheer curiosity aroused by his and others claims of a chamber underneath the Sphinx that contains the secrets of thousands upon thousands of years should result in further exploration while the Egyptian government blocks some examinations more people become curious about what's hidden underneath the enigmatic Sphinx [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music]
