[Music] my name's aaron welcome back to my channel how are you i'm fantastic today i'm viewing tom ford woodward eda perfam this is 164 pounds for 50ml one of the most rare precious and expensive ingredients in the perfume is arsenal tom ford hoodwood fragrance is rich warm scent to intense the senses exotic rosewood and cardamom give way to a smoky blend of rare ood wood sandalwood and vodka while soothing tonka bean and amber have a touch of sensuality the notes are food amber vanilla tonka bean sandalwood vertebrae pepper cardamom rosewood and arkwood do we have our fragrant samples or full-sized bottles are we engaged with our higher self let's get testing [Music] [Applause] i used to wear this a long time ago and this would like it but i never felt it was particularly long lasting on me and i think maybe because i've got very dark most of my genetics have several are eastern european things don't really latch on very well to my skin which is why my oods tend to latch on like a for this amount of money it really should contain hoot so i'll go to the breakdown with you first off i do really like it i think it is a classic beautiful formulation straight off i'm not going to bash it but this does not contain food straight off ood has a resonance to it ood has a definite dark earthy incense-y animal balsamic quality to it and there are so many different types of food but it is a definite residence and i was having a conversation with someone that they had spent a lot of money on ode and they said the fragrances they tested don't contain nude once you smell rude you know it it's just like in knowing i love ode i think it is one of the most beautiful raw materials along with rose i just love naturals very very much and personally i think if i can do an ood for about 100 245 165 then i think the big companies really need to start doing the same anyhow this is a formulation based on isu super esoprathrite and the initial blast is then dry and gives extension to it this is made up a very classic way to make an ood cord which is from an amber combined with a dry wood this contains a top note musk that smells slightly of pear drops it's brilliant as you have different types of musks as i've said before you have so much very clean which i love using and then you have some animalistic musks and they smell like dirty hair but if you use them right they're fantastic and then you have on the other end top note musks and they tend to smell a little bit like pear drops so they can give elevation right the way through and when you come you always when you're developing perfume with a minimum of three masks depending on what you're trying to do and the top note masks helps to give elevation and lift to what could potentially be a heavy dense formulation this is not a heavy dense formulation at all this contains the trellis which is a white floral note which is dry and it's more of a dewy white floral note than a dense clean floral note and that gives lift and elevation so this whole formulation is to give lift and elevation it then has some lovely broxens i live in brockton very very much it's not racially expensive but it absolutely gives a amber animalistic quality to it this contains literal so this will be changing next year little is a clean white floral note that gives cleanness and when combined with literally it's beautiful that is just really classic perfumery it's really delicious and lovely this has some acetates let's give elevation this has a form of patchouli which is called turpin patchouli i don't really use it i quite like dark heavy patchouli i love the feeling of it but you can get different forms of truly this contains a turbulence patchouli this contains some balsams and some other botanical notes to give a um the elevation and a slight tannin feel so this has a tannin built to it like a teapot sort of tannin that's how i sort of feel metallic so this is like metallic feel at the base to give elevation on to my final thoughts really disappointing actually because i used to really really enjoy this i love this and i used to actually layer it so i just use this as a layer over the top of formulations to give extension so if you have this and you think that it's too fleecing add it to some weighty heavy fragrances that are really base heavy and it'll help to extend it that's what i used to do but for me this began in about two hours i am aware that they do a huge wooden tent and i will be reviewing this in a month or so time and i'm excited to see the difference and i might do a compare contrast it's just very dry linen like but it absolutely doesn't have food please i would suggest sampling the smallest amount of food that you possibly can interestingly food is allergen free now what that means is it doesn't contain uh i think there's 21 allergens so it doesn't contain limonene or citronella hydroxy citronelle cumarin eugenol ocugino i might have said those things it doesn't contain anything so it can be using quite high concentrations but the reason it's not used in high concentrations is because it's outrageously expensive the food i have i buy direct from the supplies so i make sure absolutely when i'm buying this that it's not supporting the slave trade and that they're not farming a wild ood i just don't want that i want to keep the food foresters around as long as possible and um so the udabit is outrageous expensive i can only afford 100 at the moment and that without vt without the customs without any of it is 1700 pounds now i use i think three or four forms of food and i use a skankyood uh dirty ud it's really dirty animalistic fecal combined with this combined with some other things to give a different effect but that's how i work i le food and i love rose and all those sort of things so that's what i enjoy so then go through my marks view this is quite simplistic actually um i think it's a brilliant formulation but i think it's slightly too simplistic i think it's very nice i think it smells um i think technically it's brilliant so i'm going to give it a 4. the price i think it's overpriced it's um simplistic and it doesn't contain particularly raw materials which are expensive the masks are one of the masters is expensive the rest are quite cheap for me if i was to create this i would have it at a maximum of probably probably doing the same price as about deviance so about 95 pounds so i think this is overpriced so i'm going to do one out or two for that because i do like it and i have got reference for it i think it's a fabulous classic formulation do i like it this is the problem i love it very much because i think it's fantastic it's got some fixatives in i think it's such an amazing creation but they've come with all this spiel of it contained the most precious raw material and for me it just feels a little bit like i personally couldn't do that so i'm gonna give it a two out of four because i love it very much i used to wear it but it is very fleeting unfortunately i want to said it oohs and rose i'm going to be very very hard on because you know what i say that because you see how many foods i've got in my collection i love oods i enjoy working with them i really love that raw material i mean when i deal with food and rose i'm in reference to these raw materials i think i'm very fortunate to be able to deal with them and i love them i love spending the money on them personally i get really excited i'm i'm quite the opposite to these big companies i never want the cheap one i always want the most expensive one that's just who i am as a person i love dealing with very very expensive raw materials and manipulating them and it just is far more exciting i want to sit at a seven um it's simply because they are saying it contains food and it's quite a simplistic formulation i'm excited to go on to the uh woodward intense because i suspect it's more updated and it should be more complex and it should have should just be more up to date that's what i feel because a little bit a little bit it's been around for a long time so it's a classic formulation so i'm not gonna i'm not knocking it that's not what i'm doing but it's just to feel a little bit it's also quite dry and it's dry and got no sweetness to it and for me oods should always be sweetened slightly that's why i think and i think how would i improve on this i'd had real ood i would sweeten it with some date notes or i would yes i would just sort of sweeten it slightly i mean now it just sort of feels quite dry a little bit sterile very very clean but i think it's a fantastic formulation i think it's so this i i don't think this is suitable for dark skins or skins that you cannot get fragrance to latch onto actually because this would uh this is going to be gone so this is really good for lighter skin types or if you want a really nice day scent uh just to wear around the office but i used to wear this out all the time as i said i used to layer it over the top of stuff and i see um get essential oils and then lay this over the top i just use a there's also a few other things just put on beforehand and then put the surface off and it's really nice to extend it so if you've got a bottle and you're a bit bored of it that's something that you can do you can get quite heavy uh dense patchouli fragrance would be really good and then layer this over the top and that's the way to recycle perhaps something that you're very very bored with so i hope you love that review thumbs up and
