This is still how they play the song to this day. It's even more incredible in person where you can sing along at the top of your lungs with thousands of people and one guitar. My favorite band. Even if you don't love them, if you ever get a chance to see them in concert, do so. That's how they are meant to be heard, not so much recorded (though the recordings are great, too), but live. They are a live band, for sure. So much energy and fun and sound and emotion and community. They are one of those bands like the Dead where people follow them on tour and keep track of how many shows they've been to. If you find the right corner, you can hear people swapping stories of how they've followed them on tour for years or even decades, comparing which shows they've been too, reminiscing about past shows, etc.. Such a cool band and a great live show. One of the greats.
I have been living abroad for over a year now and Pearl Jam have always been one of my favorite bands. This song always reminds me of home and makes me cry even though I had already moved when I first heard it. Weird how it does that
