today I'll help you download install and set up the pcsx2 emulator using which you can play almost every PlayStation 2 game in existence so follow along and you will be good to go in the next few minutes the first thing you will need is szip a file extraction tool which will help us extract the pcsx2 files and the PS2 bios you can download it from the website 7zip dorg I will also leave the link for the 7zip tool in the description of this video Once downloaded follow the onscreen instructions to install 7zip on a PC next up you will need a PS2 bios file I can't provide the direct link for the PS2 bios file but you can easily find it online just search for PS2 bios download on Google or use the URL that I'm showing on the screen right now for the next step visit PCS x2. net to download the PCS X2 emulator once again the link to this emulator is in the description of this video click on the latest nightly link and choose the appropriate version for your operating system so Windows Mac or Linux I'm on windows so I'll choose window Windows 64bit after downloading the PC 62 emulator extract the files using 7ip so right click on the downloaded file select 7ip and choose extract to pcsx2 this will create a folder with the emulator files now we need to extract the PS2 bios file using 7zip as well so right click select 7zip and press extract to PS2 bios now that we have the PS2 bios and the pcsx2 emulator files extracted we no longer need the downloaded files so feel free to delete them next up let's set up PC 62 so that you can play any PS2 game on a PC to start open the extracted PCS X2 folder and select the pcsx2 exe this will open up the PCS X2 setup wizard now you can select the system language and the theme as per your preference for the sake of this tutorial I will leave them on default in the next step we need to select and Link the PS2 bios file it's on our desktop so let's go ahead and Link the PS2 bios file as you can see we have multiple versions of the PS2 bios you can select any one of these but I will go ahead and select the USA version once starts done press next next up we have to locate and Link the folder where we have all the PS2 games downloaded on our PC so go ahead and do that before we move forward if you want to learn how to download PS2 games how to extract PlayStation 2 games then feel free to check out my video on how to play Playstation 2 games on PC in the next step we have to select the controller that will be used to play the PS2 games so if you have a Xbox or a PlayStation controller lying around now it's the right time to connect it to your [Music] PC and that's pretty much it the initial setup is now completed and you can see all of your PS2 games on the emulator homepage in the next step we will mess around with the settings of pcsx2 so that your PS2 games look good and run flawlessly on Modern Hardware to start select system and open settings in the emultion tab please copy all of my settings so ensure that the normal speed is 100% fast forward is 200% and the slow motion speed is 50% next open the graphics Tab and leave the renderer to automatic in the Raptor drop- down menu select the GPU that you have in a PC since I have RDX 4070 I will select that if you don't have a dedicated GPU you can select your integrated GPU now for the expect ratio if you want to play a PS2 game in the original 4 is3 expect ratio you can just leave it to default but since most modern displays are 16 is9 I will select 16 is to 9 in the rendering tab you have to change the internal resolution depending on the display you have so if you have a 1080p monitor you need to select three times the bs2 emulation or if you have a 1440p monitor you have to select four times the PS2 resolution also change the anistropic filtering to 16x which will help make your games look upscaled now to start your games in full screen go to settings interface and under game display check the box that says start full screen and there you have it you're not ready to enjoy your Playstation 2 games on your PC using PC 62 emulator if this video helped you in any way then feel free to drop a like take it easy and I'll have to you soon hi I'm Brooke Burke and I play Rachel teller in Need for Speed underground too playing a racer in the game was a lot of fun but on the streets I make sure to drive safely and responsibly when it comes to racing make sure you only do it on the streets underground too so remember to always use your seat belts and obey the laws of the road
