We still don't know the exact time as to when they will leave the port. But talking to passengers on board, they say they're making the best of being docked for more than 24 hours. The Alaska bound cruise ship has been docked after it was damaged following yesterday's collision with Pier 27. Page says she knew about the crash but wasn't about to cancel the family trip. Somebody in front of us turned around and said, Hey, did you guys hear about the hole in the ship? And was like, No, don't tell him. So my family was all surprised when they found out the cause of the collision is still under investigation by the US Coast Guard. Investigators are looking into why the collision occurred and to see if the ship is safe to sail. As for updates, passengers say they're receiving updates every two hours. But the information is often vague. I understand that the captain is reading from a canned memo that's been handed to him, but, you know, it would certainly be helpful to have more information to know what to expect. Like I said, we have full confidence that they're going to not send us out to sea with something that's, you know, potentially super dangerous. And as for the investigation, we can confirm the Coast Guard is currently on board the Ruby princess doing inspections. We're also told weather conditions as well as communication between the cruise ship captain and the excuse me, the bar pilot are being looked into now because of this massive delay in repair. Current passengers on board will be given some form of compensation
