[Music] [Music] [Music] yo good night everybody we are back for another blind reaction this time it is for a movie that you guys overwhelmingly recommended on the latest poll we are here to watch a silent voice i have no idea what this is about um i just know the animation's beautiful i've seen some screenshots but you know we're going in blind don't know what this is don't know what it's about but like i said overwhelming response like over 2 000 of you maybe even 3 000 at this point have recommended this movie so we're gonna take your recommendation and we're gonna watch it yes and we're most likely going to enjoy it because you guys haven't let us down yet so um we got the snacks we've got the drinks so yeah we're going to be munching throughout this like for sure for sure lots of yeah we got the dunkaroos ready and everything we are ready to go folks so without further ado yeah we're gonna jump right into this movie here oh it's the same studio that did um violet oh so then yeah it's gonna be beautiful [Music] [Music] whoa no [Music] oh okay he was just thinking about it yeah because that was supposed to be his last day that's him as a kid kids that's so funny because like yeah i was gonna say half these kids wouldn't know nothing about we're eating now they wouldn't know about dunkaroos no but like the back of the day without actual oh yeah the mechanical pencil somebody in his class that doesn't [Music] know no but really what the [ __ ] is going on here why do they have her doing that maybe it's just automatically a part of their curriculum i love how like supportive her classmates are being the teachers are just like failing [Music] why would he do that [Music] i am so confused i'm dead ass confused as to what's going on in this school is he mocking her i think so it's like they're not being accommodating of her could you tell me what you were talking about [Music] [Music] oh my gosh why is he being such a bully no she she wasn't ready yeah throw dirt in her face you're trash what the [ __ ] [Music] i hate bullying especially little kids that's why it's getting me no she can uh she can hear it it's just like this sounds like probably extremely extremely moved i think she didn't like that this is [ __ ] trash [Music] oh no yeah so he just tortures his girl bro oh she's crying oh no no no oh he ripped it on her ears oh my gosh dude what the [ __ ] bro um and then maybe as an adult yes this way he wanted to kill himself wait i'm sorry for whatever she did to him why he's bothering her in the water though all her notes well we have to remember that this is a flashback and why he wanted to kill himself as an adult yeah they took her out of school because she was being bullied wow [Music] she didn't do nothing well guys you guys wonder what would ever get me if there's anything with kids and being bullied and like being alone [ __ ] like that dumbass i why this is cool calling yep you about to get in trouble yeah why is he soaking wet oh okay you kids just don't know how much trouble you cause your parents but at least she's not a piece of crap parent because sometimes kids like that have piece of crap parents that defend their actions you trash you coward she didn't think he did it on purpose too oh what's all that blood what the [ __ ] happened to her now he's getting bullied mm-hmm does okay i think his mom might have one hearing aid because they injured one or her ears yeah because he was he he was having a like a flashback to his mom like when something was going on with her when he had to do with the hearing aids [Music] [Music] man [Music] i think she's gonna say she's trying to be his friend or something like that [Music] oh that's so mean i knew she was um i knew they did stuff to his desk and she was trying to hurry up and wipe it off before he got in there oh she's not there anymore foreign he's going to know sign language now friends just bad memories because she just like it's like a flight response you don't know if she's about to get bullied by him or what he's gonna remember what she kept doing like to show him friends what um sign language is that he's gonna know some stuff how many years has it been dude he's really like are they teenagers okay yeah he kept that book all those years yeah you felt like [ __ ] dude friends [Music] i was like is he going blind what the hell is going on with him he was dreaming [Music] [Music] oh my god oh no oh no but you know what it's probably a similar feeling to what she does having to give her own heartbeat over to his foolishness [Music] he deserved it though did he even follow him into high school the irony what the hell that's the girl he had light on that cried and she was like what would you say so even when it got to the point where he could make friends he was just used to being by himself all the time they went to lanes to make his life miserable yeah hey you read what you saw yeah but he was a kid but now like it's like okay that was years ago now that had to have been like three or four years you gotta talk to him bro no okay and then he'll automatically feel like people are gonna think that he's trying to bully him it's actually a very valid response like i wouldn't want you to pay me so you can go kill yourself like i wouldn't accept that either yeah i guess i'm gonna burn it every time you give it to me so i give you a reason to live until your baby back oh you want to make sure it's not somebody trying to come in there [Music] [Laughter] i think once they become once that was nice of him [Music] [Music] he's like he's not used to it having company yeah that's cool though there it is yeah yeah sure i'm gonna be upset if he like turns out to be a bully or something no he's not this kid a bully the one that got was about to get robbed what by a bigger kid he's holding him like a cigarette [Laughter] who are you [Music] [Laughter] [Laughter] i'm pretty sure that's a little girl that's not a boy [Music] when i first saw him i thought it was a girl [Music] yeah lying that's not what they're saying funny enough stuff like this does happen like it does people that get bullied or bully each other end up falling for one another so or you bully them because you like them that wasn't his case but sometimes people pick on you because they like or it could have been his case because remember he looked like he was infatuated when she first showed up oh no you read the book i'm back in the water again it goes out [Applause] i was like you better be careful it looks kind of shallow [Applause] or ill-intent yeah scissor yeah [Laughter] you're stupid i had the light in the mood a little bit oh my god he got suspended for that he got suspended for something he didn't do at school that's crazy and that's how screen really is in japan yeah you you got me suspended camera whoa why is he sleeping at the park is he homeless and that's probably why he didn't want her to him to take her away like it's probably like his only friend right now it's so crazy that the guilt of like his actions from when he was like a [ __ ] kid have followed him for this many years that's how childhood drama works [Laughter] you gotta [Music] my father died clapped trying to get these headlights are making me nervous sure they're on the sidewalk this is where it goes to the extremes brother what does that mean i knew it was a girl oh it is a girl i knew it was a girl because all those in the what who the hell was that i was like it looked like that's her mom oh cause of the past but yeah everybody in the room when she was learning sign language they were all women so i was like that's a girl when i first first first saw her when she got to the door it looked like a girl it's a lady [Laughter] i like how they kept the detail on them or like when he wears his t-shirts the tag's always sticking out you see it there it goes like when he was younger i love hotel what is wrong with this wow i'm in shock i like how like accurate the machines are in the back i'm just remembering all the times we had to buy tickets from those machines [Music] well i can easily communicate yep and she's appreciative her little sister told her all about you bro that was probably a game changer if you think about it yeah people like texting [Music] is that her that's her yeah you said the nipples okay you're done no more sign language interpretation for you the rest of this movie you're done i'm good at it no you're not [Music] he said he had to go rub one out real [Music] [Laughter] my allergies are acting up just watching this she just put on a whole disguise yeah she put her hair in a point to throw on glasses and you fell for that bruh i'm done she hit you with the baseball cap and glasses and you fell for it that's cool little cat wallet oh she's depressed because of the hearing test [Music] what the [ __ ] so you just hop on the back of my mic [Music] okay don't be a her hearing aid back you suck since one just one she called me and that's why she liked him he thought she was yeah okay she gave it back to her she feels stupid so she had to like like when he chose her over the other one she felt dumb so that was like dealing with she was embarrassed hmm it just goes to show some people can change and some people can't that's unfortunate though yeah i was hoping [Music] to [Music] massive outbreak of carp oh go feed them so before she would wear her hair down to cover the oh my god he's working on it he didn't mean it yet she said you just wanted to eat bread oh you don't have to go she already bought something whether they swap her back i love you oh whoa ooh that's that's heavy actually try to say it in english too that's not what she was trying to say that was not what she was trying to say oh he fumbled the bag couldn't she have signed it when she said it she doesn't she didn't want to sign it she was trying to feelings across yeah [Music] he's trying to figure out why why shoko changed her hair to the ponytail um good couch i didn't i didn't link those two things together oh she likes him you can easily just text her like you want to hang out you try to make it seem casual yeah oh a bunch of us are going out wanna come like you said she was embarrassed from last time and she wasn't mad she was flipping her feet because she was excited because he invited her out did you notice the x was back over ueno's face yeah it reminds me of the like those games you play where you go it shows like your relationship level with each person it'll be like friend not friend almost a friend oh that's terrible i wonder if this is inspired by the cyclone at coney island in new york see i can't do that because the only psychologist i know is like 100 years old yep x is right over her face i think he's realizing yes he's having fun with friends he's not alone [Music] i think it's so funny he x not the winner because she was being a [ __ ] oh wait it fell off okay shut the [ __ ] up i think she's interested in him romantically she is interested in him that's why she reacted the way she did towards that girl because she thought she sees her as a threat oh look who it is this [ __ ] oh and you got stuck working behind a food stand maybe she thought him seeing him would bring back some memories and no i don't know oh no nevermind yeah like i said she was hoping i would rekindle some memories well he basically became his bully i'm gonna go hang out with my real friends really you're gonna blame this on this girl that hasn't like [Music] [Laughter] i don't trust her i don't either no she's gonna push her out of the ferris wheel do not let her go with her i think you're taking a little bit too dark but i think she's gonna like tell her stuff like you know he doesn't really want to be your friend you know he's only just doing this out of pity and like all kinds of stuff like that oh man yeah sure push her out the ferris wheel i don't trust her that's why you told her you told him to take the camera she told her to take the camera over there why can't we just leave him out of it he might not have the same feelings as you [Music] [Music] so they're in 11th grade now i i am not a fan of that girl at all she's m because he was one of the bulliest oh i think she called him a jerk because he was like accusing her of something she didn't do [Music] oh wait did she badmouth her too i only know the other one did but i can't remember it i can't really remember if she did but i don't think he's lying no i think he's being serious and i think that because they also yeah they all played a part in it i think it's i think it i think what he means i could be wrong but i think what he means is bueno was bad-mouthing her and the girl with the glasses would just listen to her but she wasn't like telling her to stop or she wasn't like dejecting anything she was saying so he feels like she still participated in the conversation even if she heard herself no i think he literally means he because all of them played a part in it him the one that worked at the stand uh they all played a part but he ended up taking the blame and when and when he tried to say look you guys all did this with me they threw him under the bus and then bullied him so and she just plays victim kawaii plays victim yeah i have to go back and look again just to make sure [Music] oh like i'm saying i think she was just hanging out with them when they would talk bad about her i don't think oh yeah yeah you're right you just laughed and fell in line with yeah she didn't okay she didn't say anything specific herself but she wasn't like saying like oh what you're saying is bad she was just going along with it oh my god [Music] [Music] over their faces again it's funny that whole thing with kawaii because i remember at first not remembering her saying anything i was like yeah she's right but she was just complicit in the whole thing but yeah that's what i'm saying she wasn't standing up for her so usually if like you're not standing against it then you're with it so she just went along with it well what guys don't be like my friend here who didn't do anything not doing anything is part of the problem so he sees her as being just as guilty like you weren't saying that what she was saying was wrong so yeah you might as well have been talking about her too [Music] was the one whenever the teacher would say like oh take notes out that's the one who proactively would offer to take her book and write in it but she was just writing hateful things in her book she was helping her at first and then switched and then and then switched [ __ ] oh i didn't like that vision yeah that was dark [Music] is that what happened she died in her sleep that night because i was looking i was actually gonna make a [ __ ] up joke saying that she looks dead i think she died in her sleep that night when she had her vision probably oh my gosh oh look at her hair all up in a bun and stuff oh she agreed y'all tie out together you're not really even hanging out [Music] oh [ __ ] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] she hates him he's afraid with their moms she's gonna come around though yeah she will but you know that would actually make me happy as a parent like to see someone that used to bully my child like trying to like atone for it and be kind to them because that would in some ways heal her trauma from that era of her life very true [Music] they had to point that out [Laughter] and the whole experience would feel heightened to her since she's lost one of her senses i'm trying to show you something real quick no no no no hurry up don't worry about your shoes go stop bro go go go go go go hurry up hurry up hurry up hurry up hurry up please hurry up jesus christ get up come on this is not the time for you to be falling get up get up no she's gone she's gone unfucking believable okay you got her oh i was about to be like what yeah i wonder if he's gonna hit her with that i love you yeah it's coming what does that mean i think she just signed i love you is that what that is even though she nursed him she's been just horrible maybe that was her way to atone oh there i'm a really awful person yep she knows he's going to peel off yep yeah okay i did [Laughter] you got like two right on the paper like two or more oh the things that she gave him yeah they go in a flower pot okay he's like what are these that would have been like what the hell is this dude [Music] i don't know [Music] that's um shinjuku [Music] oh i know whoops that's just the front of their school that was decorated anyways yeah i know exactly what you're talking about [Music] it's crazy how now she's his support yeah [Music] sir what if i was [ __ ] bro no no sometimes [Music] oh that's what the hell that was i i don't i didn't know [Music] that's funny she told her how to do it correctly i think the x's are gonna start falling off everybody yeah yep he is suck yeah the barricade now he's listening to people again because he didn't look at their faces or listen to them he probably blocked them all out because they used to give him dirty looks and they used to talk about about him in the hallways yeah they were giving him hell yep there it goes he's free [Music] wow he's like i've been missing out on so much this is character development like hell [Music] that's awesome [Music] is that him in the hospital [Music] i'm not sure what that would i'm not sure what that was supposed to represent the little the silhouettes walking i don't know if that was him and and choco wow i have never cried so much watching a movie that was absolutely a lot of that was really hard for me to watch they got me about halfway about halfway through you see but i'm a sucker for like things with like kids and getting bullied and being no i was i was holding it in but it it just it got too difficult this studio is amazing yeah yeah they are do they do they only make sad [ __ ] like is everything that they do sad the whole movie was sad it was sad but it was very good a happy ending because my like hope my like hopes of that happy ending went from like here so like i'm like there's no way this movie entirely they got me i thought i thought you should have died yeah i thought he died too and then i was like yeah or i thought that if he did live he was gonna be severely crippled in some way like i thought it was gonna be like a parallel to like her being deaf or him not being able that would have been so trash it would have but that's why you don't it's so funny it's so funny though the character ueno i hated her the entire movie i still ended the movie not really liking her but i guess it was kind of really not like her as much yeah i guess it was kind of realistic in the way where it's like not everybody can change like somebody's not right away yeah she still has her feelings toward um shoko but it was definitely i think more of a jealousy yeah she's just jealous wow what a what a story that was so good i had no idea what we were getting ourselves into with this and and look at that that was a fantastic film yeah it was that was a a powerful film that it's literally the violet evergarden style so yeah i need to i need to look at what else the studio has has done and i'm sure they'll let us know yeah i'm pretty sure you guys are gonna let us know of course but yeah yeah it didn't feel as long as it was like it was a two-hour movie it didn't feel that long at all i was sucked in the entire time i was just like oh my gosh what is going on how is this gonna play out i like how we were talking so much [ __ ] about the main character too at the beginning and then like well that's why i kept reminding us that like he was a kid no no that it started off showing him as an adult and then we saw something like well as we saw him as older yeah and then you know we had to kind of remind ourselves that like it was showing us why he was trying to atone because we obviously saw he was a better person as a teenager and you know him having like a lot of regrets with like contemplating killing himself on the bridge so that's why when it did dip back in his childhood it like was really trash to watch but i wasn't looking at it in a sense of like oh this is like how he still is i was looking at it in a sense of like this is how he was and this is why he feels the way that he does essentially what happened to him was cancel culture he did some shitty stuff he got cancelled and he had to apologize at a tone and learn but in a weird way though because i i the only thing that i felt uh conflicted about was that those like real life that participated in the behavior with him weren't punished at the same level like that he was like only he was pretty much like held accountable for like all of the bullying that she went through but like the peers yeah around him i think it was because he was the ring leader they made him take he he had to take the rep and he was known like the teacher knew what kind of but i feel like they all should have gotten in trouble especially um bueno but i mean that but that's literally how it would be realistically they threw him under the bus everybody was like well you're the ring leader you started it so you're just gonna hold this blame yeah i'm just saying how i personally oh yeah i know like i that like in any situation like a lot of the times the people that support or participate in like the unacceptable behaviors they don't get like the punishment for it only the one that indulges and is the cause the main cause yeah receives that but they were sympathizers but that was a great movie guys thank you for the recommendation but
