helps you direct to the film yeah and you've worked with oh and I know a lot in the past and yet it seems just reading about you that your your approach to the concept of work is quite different oh well the Owens I mean I don't even own do you have an approach the concept of work I don't even know if that well I just try to say the actors prayer and just uh you know show up and uh what is the actors prayer it's it goes what is it it's like god grant me the serenity to let direction I disagree with go in one ear and out the other I know it's uh but with Ben as a director sometimes it was hard to because he's dressed as Derek Zoolander so that you see Zoolander and you don't your first instinct isn't advice we want you shaping my performance and yeah and then I don't know if it was being in Rome but sometimes it seems like it was almost like a the ghosts of Mussolini you had sort of a very dictatorial yes it's a megaphone he would use to kind of shout anything you're kind of a hands-on director I mean I'm by hands-on like literally just move you around this is all sound through Penelope yeah I destroy it was really hard not to laugh and he does get very serious and he forgets he's wearing all this shiny stuff there you go sure yeah though in back and I work together we had a good time we worked on Tropic Thunder together and we did know it amazing I feel like I feel like look the movie turned out great so who cares if you're a little bit of a dictator yeah that was I had fun the whole time except for the one water buffalo incident yes where I went flying off I was naked on the back of a water buffalo in my tighty-whities not naked yeah and the water buffalo freaked out for some reason and just buck and brown coat me off and I literally went head over heels flying and landed precariously between two boulders miraculously uninjured and there was like a few seconds for me to catch my breath and then bend over the megaphone can we take that from the top the stuntman got up on there it turned out the Buffalo was pregnant we didn't know didn't know the Buffalo was a female why she was and she was pregnant but the story had a happy ending didn't it what was the Hat of the wind and a baby the gun name Chad right right that is all black they named the baby gently there's a baby water buffalo somewhere with my name that's a good Brian Norton Show all-new Mondays at 10:00 on BBC America

Jack Black is a great actor - he was a very believable drug addicted actor in Tropic Thunder. Think his role is often overshadowed by RDJ.
