what's going on everybody LK here today with Lord Sage M so I wanted to do something a little different you know we've had a lot of uh let's say discourse on Twitter over these past honestly couple months at this point about various topics so I invited Lord say jam the way it's going to go is I have a short list of topics it's it's kind of mix of what type of things these are these are all basically attacks by the way like fighting game booves by the way and we're going to give our takes on them overrated underrated and why I'm going to have you of course lead first as the guest so to hop right into it just so you get just so we get like an idea neutral skips great place to start neutral skips overrated or underrated that's the first that's the first one just just to get in the right mindset of this neutral overrated or underrated like okay when you say overrated or underrated as in the way people perceive them or like what I think of them or I need some clarity here though when I when I think of this I'm definitely thinking of how people perceive these things so for example for me I would be like lowkey kind of overrated for the most part because like we both talked about this individually it's like every finding game has it in some aspect yes some games have it as like a general neutral thing but like it's just something you kind of deal with and some of the games are like the whole game is made around these Concepts like like 3b3 is like Dragon Ball and stuff like a big part of the of the neutral of that game is setting up those situations so you can actually get in because it's hard to get in without that yeah for me I would say neutr skps slight overrate in the sense that like there are examples where they're too belligerent right like I I think even in modern discourse I don't think people disagree that like DJ's Drive Rush is too powerful or something right or like Ken doing Drive Rush jab but the way I view it almost always is that even the system mechanic ones you can change how characters interact with them in a way to make it better so like a good example is like Dragon Ball super Dash like what a character gets on block on super Dash is different right depending on the character also depending on your assist and like whether you get real mix after it or not or like you know depending on which version of the game or if the character you're fighting against is Super Saiyan Vegeta and he can air DP it and you're super dashing at him in the air different than another character right so yeah I I think slight overrate sometimes they are really stupid I think like some of the modern ones right now could use a small adjustment but in general I think uh slight overrate they need to exist because games generally need to have stronger offense than defense but people go they go a little ham about them and I do wonder if it's for me my background the games that I like a lot tend to be faster and I play a lot of like yeah versus games and things that are like quick and snappy I sort of don't mind these things existing and I understand their need for existence cuz if you can't catch somebody in a game like that you have nothing no way to get near them it sucks man it's not not a fun video game to play so yeah I I would say slight overr right yeah I I'm in the same camp as you basically right like like just like it's a thing that's existed uh the mechanic thing is definitely like a specific angle of it of like not just that but like there's some really neutral strategies that sometimes only some characters get and not some others you know like I made that Meme clip of like maybe like a two-minute meme clip and like oh only some characters get to do that but not everybody gets to do that so then like on a mechanic level it's like okay now now everyone actually gets to do that so even like and even then it's not it's not necessarily democratized as you put it right like the DJ Drive Rush is not manan's drive rush or something depending on the game right depending on the game yeah GRL everybody 66 Ling you that that's what I was about to say like like uh let's like a character like Kido super dashing at you is not the same as like ginu super dashing at you you know like different characters have different things but over overall like I I'm I'm the most it is what it is person so if I'm complaining about a mechanic for real I that means I really really really despise it so in my head it's like I'm kind of with you Sim like slightly slight overrate right I think we're the same in that in our tolerance is very high very high so like if something hits us bad first of all you know it's there's something going on here and second of all it's true hatred because if I if I don't like something that much it's fine but I really have to despise this to be like all right this is the demon right here okay so number two we're going to go a little bit more specific I started really vague just so you get an idea of what we were trying to do so we're going to step back we're going to go to projectile YRC AKA projectile slowdown at the same time overrated or underrated if you played exert so people were watching this is exert tactic so you're talking about like Kai has stun Edge in strive right so for 25 meter in exert he could do Fireball it's called YC 25 and you slow the entire screen down and the fireball moves and the opponent gets slowed down and Kai just kind of runs up you know on his foot seats behind it so uh overhead it or underrated I can I just I feel like this is rated I like I think that people complain about this constantly and they are right it is really stupid uh it is a really stupid thing and everybody can do some like there's some variation or version of how they can do it but like in the game before the 25 meter option didn't slow the game down right and it had more of an execution requirement there was more chance you would miss it depending on the character yeah this that version of it I feel like it's rated people complain about it a lot they work correct it's not the end all Beall but some things are really annoying I'll tell you what it's not even just projectile wirec the worst one for me is like air Dash I think air Das yeah I'm a big hater I you know I'm like oh my goodness gracious uh but yeah I I feel like it's rated everybody complains about it and they're right it is a an existence that we are suffering in together yeah as someone who main this I actually dropped all games to play guilty your exert right everything cuz I was like man like fighting games are get too hard I can't mess around in these side games if I want to be good in exert I got to drop everything someone who's only played that game for like four or five years it's it's actually underrated it's stupid it's really stupid it words cannot like like if you're when people are like oh these stupid Boomers complaining about no dude like like it's it's so neutral warping like like like why I had flashbacks of projectile RC when that tweet came out specifically too because like it there's so many characters that just have such simple strong ones that like if I didn't play millia like people would ask me how to deal with like Stinger wire to yourself I'm like I don't know I could fly like I don't know what you're supposed to do I just fly away and it's good I I would have no idea how to fight this like Soul it's such a huge part of the game you got to always worry about it eats your inputs too like it's just it's just not like I see the vision you know you mentioned F FRC and xx so I do see the vision you can even go as far as say it democratizes RC yeah that's true like but like man dude like like and and it's not even the worst mechanic in the game that's how like uh that's how like I think you can actually talk about this more like the game itself is cool but like some of the mechanics man I'm just like dude why why did it why was it like this and they could have changed it there's like four four or five patches for ex overall Stinger stuff like singer YC soned YC are definitely just like the feeling of dread and then frust when you're like doing something and you see it happen and you're like all right dude like it's it's like such an immediate bad game feel but like then you just keep playing like I don't know it's one of those game it's like one of those things you just like suffer and you're like y yeah needle YC you know needle YC another one all all those number three Focus attack that's a four oh man that's a tough one you know the the problem with it is like I talked about Focus attack as a neutral skip in my video and some people yeah some people were like dude Focus attack is not a neutral skip like it doesn't go past neutral and I'm like an armored advancing combo starting move that you can safely Dash cancel backwards at any time is not like a neutral skip if that's not I don't know what is but I think I think underrated uh not because I think that Focus attack is too powerful uh but because it's so encompassing in every part of the game's decision so like everything about the game is centered around Focus tag because Focus tag gives you combo extensions it gives you neutral options it gives you an approach thing it gives you a way to bait things or force your opponent off of options and neutral it gives you extensions into your Ultra it lets reversals be extremely powerful like the game was full of safe jumps and really stupid offense but the game's defense was way way more powerful because Focus attack exists and allows you to do Invincible move Focus attack get huge damage on hit be safe on block or just escape with the back dash and because of focuses existence you could focus back dash on wake up and like all of the stupid stuff in the game like that existed on offense like Focus back Dash as an answer or like a response particularly on the characters with the best back dashes like rose and Chun Le were Dreadful like it's so powerful so I actually think and like when people complain about it like this move is scrubby it's dumb like I don't think about the focus attack itself as the overrated part but the utility and the way it like design like is around the rest of the design of the like you can absorb Fireballs with it and build Ultra for free cost you nothing it's it's a free mechanic that is you cost no money it doesn't like the last thing was 25% of your meter this is free you know like yeah Focus attack is extremely important I don't think overpowered but I think definitely you cannot think about the game without constantly considering the way it warps every aspect of offense defense neutral Resource Management ultra gauge Etc yeah a really interesting thing maybe my my brain is but like I feel like when I play Capcom games they all every single one especially when you hear about the way people talk about old games sometimes too it's like every single one almost every Capcom game in my head is just about mashing it's like like how do you deal with the mashy thing except almost except sf4 except because you know still have to deal with Crouch check of course but like uh you also have to deal with Focus so like I played vampire saver pretty seriously at one point and like it's all about push block AKA mashing so you have to like mash the I'm saying Mash like like I'm mean but you got to press all the buttons to push block or like Marvel you know you have Push block that's a button so you have stagger around Focus attack is like I I remember when that game came out so I only played Super Street figh 4 people were like complaining about it I kind of think it's a little overrated you know it's almost as a cap cob Street Fighter Outsider refreshing to play a game that's not just about hitting people for mat though even though it enables DB DP f8c like that's that is half your bar that's half your gauge so to me that's just dprc which is its own video apparently according to Twitter right now so it's we won't get into that we won't get into that but yeah like just just thinking of the time and how like crazy people made it sound and and a lot of characters like have good ways of beating it because it's generally like what one hit of armor so uh if you have like a multi-hitting fireball you just break it compared to like some other games Universal mechanic neutral mechanic where you have to like really call it out or like like I like I said projectile YC if I didn't play millia I have no answer like I I can't tell you I've won Mage as an exert I can't tell you how to beat projectile YC with like soul I I'm clueless I don't know DP through it I don't I don't know I have no answer so I don't know at the time I thought people was were talking like it was crazy but I think honestly it's kind of out of all the silly ones I could think of it's kind of like the most vid in my opinion yeah shoot me if I'm wrong I know I I agree with you cuz I especially think that the focus attack itself is not that bad like I don't think that's a problem I don't and I don't even think it's like overpowered but I think how much it impacts every aspect of the game is so huge that like yeah I'm not surprised yeah it's just like every part of it is everywhere it's omnipresent right and that's something that Street Fighter does a lot for sure too like that their main whatever their main system mechanic is perversion is like that okay next one next one this is for you if you weren't on this video I would not mention this at all but interactables Injustice yes sir I I don't care what you said about them the answer to me is underrated cuz they are so devastatingly game warping like the different stage interactables like how powerful they were is just so like I'm winning the game by throwing a dumpster at you that's unblockable antiair and otgs and then after it hits you it like hard knocks you down and I IM me to you with like a plus move and then after I back up and I throw the dumpster again like that's like the kind of thing where like yeah I mean M the it's just one of those like the dumpsters the drones before they Nerf them at Evo if you watched the first Evo people just playing on Metropolis rooftop they were responding drones that only the heavy characters could throw they were like almost impossible to get out of they did like 25% damage on hit they were like way too powerful and like heavy characters in particular would just like do a combo for like 30 40 50% and then OTG you within like you just can't get a can't get out 25 or 30% on top of that and then like like do a mixup after and you're just like okay my bad like I you know they are no matter how you look at them I think they cannot simply be stated how powerful interactables were especially in Injustice one but yeah they are really stupid in that game in particular so in that game underrated I cannot believe we played a competitive video game with them in it oh my god dude like like so the only reason this even popped in my head I was looking for footage for something and there's tournament there's stream footage of me playing Justice one and I'm playing I'm playing like it's a fighting game I mean it is what right it's just and the commentator is like get the Drone get the Drone what are you doing get the Drone and at the time I was like what is he talking about yeah but like that game came out I think in like 2013 yep right y if that game came out today in that form oh my God Twitter bro Twitter Twitter imagine like the open mic Justin Wong throwing drones at some kid like oh dude my god dude yeah it has to be under it's it's it's insane I like I don't know who I don't know who thought of that of like the the layers of this of like okay it's different on every stage different character weights use them differently yep some of them are just unblockable cuz why not hard knock down because why not I I think it is it is crazy compared to some stuff that like people really complain about because usually what ends up happening is like people like oh you're plus oh I'm sad that you're plus I'm like bro this unblockable dude like no no way I I would play for fun books I would play for money you can also spend meter to give yourself armor while you do them so like a lot of them were not only unblockable but you could like you know you could hit people on the startup you could spend your super gauge to make it armored while you did it so you were armored swinging these unblockable things it's so funny man cuz so many of them were guaranteed too there was like resets and setups that are just like you just like do it and like the gadget characters the smaller characters they could like do like unblockable bomb loops and stuff some of them reusable too so you would just like go in the corner do the combo like use the interactable combo them off of it off the unblockable back into the corner Loop it and like yeah you just just just die man it's it's messed up no out of all I'm with you saying it's underrated out of all the ones I have on this list yeah I'm pretty sure interactable are like the strongest one out of all these six for for sure for sure for sure and I love that game that's the thing is that game is dope like I'm a big fan of that game it's one of the stupidest things I've ever played against so for sure next we got one that you you you mentioned but we could not talk about this without mentioning this has to be Drive Rush Drive Rush Drive Rush Drive Rush Drive Rush a current game a current game yeah this is a tough one it's weird too because this this mechanic like there's so many aspects to it it's like the focus attack where like the focus attack itself like if it's fa long yeah it's a really good Focus attack right it's like really good but like Rose's Focus attack suck the actual attack doesn't matter but she gets Focus back dash which is extremely powerful and then some of the character if their back dash sucks it doesn't matter so like Drive Rush it's interesting because I think like the aspect of it the offensive aspect of it I think is kind of overrated but as a mechanic overall I think maybe underrated actually in the sense that like it's so powerful and so useful all the time because it's every aspect of the game the game has no plus frames really right so Drive Rush enables your plus frames Drive Rush approaches uh it allows you to move in neutral and and do actions so like go can throw boom and then drive Rush anti-air or something right right or characters can reposition themselves it allows you to fake and defeat counter pokes in neutral by doing Drive rush into special moves or something slow to beat their checks on your move like yeah driers does everything it gives you Oki it gives you combo extensions and juggles which I think is really cool so yeah it's like it's the most powerful way to use the gauge it's also the cheapest uh besides raw Perry costing like half of a brick but like like Parry Drive Rush is one drive gauge out of six right which is incredibly cheap like it's yeah it's on the cheaper end of everything so it is a little underrated in that sense then I think like it's the most important thing you can do in the game but I also don't think that that's a bad thing like I think the fact that it's a malleable tool that every character gets to interact with is what makes it really cool and what I think for me anyway that I hope it happens I'm not sure what capcom's going to do but I really hope they just Nerf the problematic Parts on in neutral for some characters like the DJs and the Ken driver Jabs of the world and leave it as like an Oki and like combo juggle and like neutral positioning tool I like all those aspects about it and I think that the problem the actual problem is the certain characters interactions with it so yeah I would say I would say slightly underrated but as like just the oh I'm complaining about Drive rush cuz they turn green and go really fast Makoto didn't even turn green and she kills you you know like other characters in the other games they just went fast like yeah I mean it's a stupid approach to but yeah I think overall slightly under to be fair this is one that I think is like the way people talk about it is overall like the truth I always had this feel of Capcom games are they just hyper focus on like this one thing usually mashing it's actually read at Street Fighter 6 is not about mashing I was shocked about mashing I've never heard someone say that and I I think that's like a be like I love that it's like the street fighter system mechanics are about mashing am I wrong though it's like it's a really funny description I've never thought about it that way Capcom games in general in my head almost every Capcom game has some mashy mechanic you got to play around all the time so playing Street Fighter 6 I was very surprised to find out the game was not about mashing for the first time like ever I was like yo they did it they did it uh I guess five is not technically it's it's about a vtrigger so I guess five led the way changing changing the game getting rid of option SX and stuff like that it's odd then that the Street Fighter game where you walk at people now has like teleports and stuff of course there's only like some characters it affects every level of the game too in the specific way too so it's like everything I've heard about Drive rush and then like either reference to like my own play CU I I still play like every now and then or like see in tournaments or see like high Lev players tweet about I'm like oh it it it that is it like they're not you know like maybe they're complaining about it but like that's what I hear about it is really what it is like again if if Injustice came out today I think all we'd be talking about is indirects let's be real like people would want that patched out immediately right but uh Drive rush for as big of a part of the game that it is it doesn't feel like the way people talk about it is so far from what it actually is and the only crazy discourse to be is the the character War about Ken's not top five or whatever people people be doing every day this is a I wouldn't say overrated underrated I think I think is just truth yeah maybe the I'm like oh yeah rated rated I think it's just truth I think people are pretty reasonable about this compared to other ones no I'm with you that's why I said slightly under just CU yeah it's like it's that kind of a mechanic for sure it was really powerful it is funny because like people complain about it more and less depending on which week of the game we are in you know what I mean like it goes up and down depending on like some weeks we're mad about Fireball YC some weeks we're mad about Blitz some Le you know we're all mad about different things I'm going to go with another spicy one we we're we're heading into the to the closure of this but I'm going to go with a spicy one here mhm Dash blocking overrated or underrated oh that's really interesting there's a lot of games that have Dash block but I would say probably under is my first instinct only because games with Dash block and dash Block in general when people are good at it is extremely powerful like game warping and how moves are designed and push back in thing and neutrals in general if the dash block going to get game is strong it completely warps how neutral is played and especially if the game is like something like undernight where there's such powerful OSS which they've changed a little bit in the new version but yeah I would say underrated in the sense that like Dash blocking especially fast Dash blocking being enabled extremely powerful always going to be really strong if you can quickly Dash block and especially if there's macros in the game mhm uh yeah it is really really really really really strong and MH people just accept it as like a normal part I think about fighting games now especially having macros and stuff but yeah if you fight someone who's like good at Dash blocking in between your strings or moves in a fighting game it feel like yeah the game feels completely different than someone who's just like existing you know MH definitely agree with you underrated yeah um the way I've been you know I I I I say inflammatory things sometimes I wasn't really turned on into the dashb you know Dash walking is good in Dragon Ball but it's really good in strive and I wasn't really turned on to it until like I started thinking hey if this character is Dash blocking at me you know all my normals are minus except for like close slash would say and they're Dash blocking at me so that they could be plus basically is this how my brain works they're trying to beat me without doing anything and it makes me very angry yeah and the responses I do to such things show my anger right so if you play fight against bikon Dash block is really good as bikin so I was like man this is cap what do I do I started poking with Yoon son and Es caby those are my responses to people who Dash block now yes and that should show you how much I think it's stupid yeah Dash blocking is so strong that your best response is to steal big turns with whatever stuff because like you know that their defensive option is so safe and solid and like in modern games especially as you mentioned often don't design with lots of plus things in mind like they they design with like most of the stuff you do is minus so if games are designed with not a lot of plus frames and strong Dash blocking and dash macros and yeah like Dash blocking is the generate actually right like you just you do it kind of thoughtlessly you just Dash block and everything and I switched recently leverless cuz my stick started blue screening my PC and I'll tell you what playing strive on leverless with a dash macro Dash walking at people I feel like a God I'm I'm like unhitable I'm like dude I just do Dash block Dash block Dash block and I just get Dash IB on accident over and over and then I just throw them or close slash and I'm like bet I'm the best I'm Mochi like like oh man no the I think people would would actually talk about it you know you know like how some RPGs have classes so like if you're like if it was like a defender class and when you dash block into somebody you actually like did a little damage to it yeah like only like you don't you don't really feel it until you really think about it but like if Leo Dash blocks at you and then like you just took like 10% before he even pressed the button I think people because that's what it feels like that's that's what it feels like to me like probably the most underrated I think in my opinion on this whole list of how how stupid especially because side note uh in undernight you have to do six there's a dash macro it's like 6ab at least you have to at least you have to tap forward for a sec yeah before you switch back where in strive is just literally neutral like just neutral Dash gives you the dash so like the strive one is is crazy you go from like one neutral plus Dash and one like super fast like even onck like if it wasn't for a dash button then stick players would not be able to dash block like pad and leverless players which is nice but we have to have Dash block so it's like yeah watching a character like Ram dash block against F or something I'm like yeah that character is just dead like especially in older versions ven would scream apology man screaming like stop Dash blocking at me like I'm like yeah I don't know what you do like the character's Frame data is not great and then this character's movement is really high and they have lots of punishes at every range against your character uh yeah it sucks like strong Dash blocking it with in games especially now that are Design This Way is really biger it's yeah I agree with you of all the things you've mentioned so far it's also it would be my most underrated for sure yeah okay um super dashing old dbfz we can't talk about this without talking about dbfz I brought this up earlier already yeah yeah you mentioned it that's a this is so hard this I I know clearly I know clearly I know clearly my answer I I I I feel like my answer would maybe slightly change depending on which version of the game you're talking about because in different versions of the game especially early on when there was less counterplay like you you recall in the very beginning of the game when like Piccolo could like jumping all it and it was like a unique thing and far less characters got to interact with it right like then I thought that it was probably like the way people yapped about it was probably correct these days I think it's a little bit more tolerable as a move but people complained the volume that people complained about it makes me want to put it in overrated honestly because of how much people went ham about it but because it is so defining and it works like it's one of these mechanics that every aspect of the game is affected by like whether you want to be in the air or not whether you want to be on the ground or not whether your character like what your responses are to it the fact that you have to think about it constantly the fact that it interacts with every part like every cancel you have to think is this person going to Super Dash or not when I'm throwing these key blast do I need to buffer something to beat it or not like what's my air button that I want to hit air to air to beat this like does my character have an air Invincible option to beat it do I need a level three at I would say I guess underrated just because it impacts so many aspects of the game even when it's at its weakest like even when there's the most ways to interact with it as possible as they've changed how characters work and stuff uh it still impacts so much of the game that I would say probably underrated wow uh I I'm going to go blatantly overrated actually in hindsight blatantly out of all the things about that game it is probably the most overrated thing that people complained about but I could understand I could understand that Goku flying at you being the gatekeeper to you getting into especially you're like zing and stuff I get that but out of all the annoy cuz there's so much obnoxious stuff that I AG you if I if we were rating it versus everything else in the game it's not close to me it's like the least offensive no it's by far the least offensive even from even from a general fighting game perspective because like the game doesn't have negative penalties so like there's actually just and when the game came out you know you know it's called Dragon Ball Fighters so we're like I was like oh let me play like a a fighting game I didn't know that I had to actually beat Goku and do stuff like that like jab stuff coming at me and all that stuff right I thought I could just play like a fighting game when you play the game like a fighting game super Dash is like crazy it's like same yeah but when you learn how to play Dragon Ball it's like you know it's there it's it's annoying in a couple spots but like it's it's it's whatever it's it's a focus attack you know it's a it's a whatever it's a jumping game you know it's not a footsy game you know can I be honest with you I just had a you just inspired me I think Dragon Ball Fighters needed interactable thoughts like imagine you're just in the background and you can like jump off Shenron you know like he like an escape interact we plant a bomb and it's like un like I'm fighting goichi and I just like use the unblockable against him so that I can hit him no the way the way that I I close that goichi set is I go back in time but then go back in time intercable I needed that I almost you can't see me so people are watching he can't see me right now I almost spit out my drink what you said that gave me I was like no last thing last thing that game beats is another meme mechan I do agree with you though like I I find almost every other aspect of the game's design more frustrating than super Dash it's not close like I I don't know how you feel about all of these mechanics but I know you don't like the variable uh timings for Oki and stuff right by far my least favorite thing about the game I I think it might be one of my least favorite things about any fighting game like I really dislike I agree with you about that I also really dislike the snap Meta Even though it kind of solved that I thought oh that that [ __ ] was sick that was sick I I get why you would like it especially you as a player but I think that every character's hit always being snaap into incoming like over and over and over was one of the most degenerate aspects of a fighting game I have ever played you know what I mean like I was like this let me let me open your mind as an aside okay imagine imagine if imagine if someone made a team where instead of snapping them 18 times yeah you snap them two times just just to assist and then back to the point character and when the point character gets snapped they die I like how even in this hypothetical to fix Dragon Ball you still had to snap them twice yeah that's my team that's the last that's the team I played yeah it's amazing they just die there's no none of this looping stuff no this looping BS you just kill it's great but that is like the thing for Dragon Ball is it's wild it is wild the way they designed that game it is it's a wild fighting game for sure and like I think it's a testament to how fun versus games are the IP is that and the IP is that everybody loves it cuz there's a lot of things about it that I was like dude this is the stupidest thing ever and I still played it and I still will play it like when the rollback comes back out I'm still going to play it for those type of games I think CU you know Dragon Ball it depends on who you talk to like how maybe strong offense is or how strong defense is it really depends on who you talk to but the main thing is that definitely everything should be almost egregiously strong yeah you know like that's like the point where like in like a on V ones it has to be tweaked based on like can you break out of combos like can you get out of block situations like it like how good things are allowed to be are dependent on like the things that you get out where I feel like the whole point of having the assists is like okay how far can we really push this you know so even though mechanics are really strong in Dragon Ball for example like it's cool because like it's Goku like when Goku sucks like what's the point of playing a dragon ball game yeah you know what I mean the power level needs to be let him have two him you know what I mean like let him to him MH you got to let the game just be ham cuz like versus games are fun when the the power level's High which is why for me every versus game like when they try to tone it down I'm I'm like this is not this is not what we're signing up for right like the the Optics of this kind of game is that it looks like the Dragon Ball fight where they're like fighting in air and they just teleport to different locations and you can't even really see what's happening you know they're like Instant Transmission in everywhere and you're like oh my God I don't even know what's happening like like that's the pace and the power fantasy of this kind of game and like I don't want to play Street Fighter where like if you turn green someone screams like I like you got to be able to you should be able to turn green and then call an assist and then do a fourway mixup you know what versus game do they actually tone down stuff besides Dragon Ball I don't know that's a good question yeah you said I was like yeah I but that's what I mean like I I don't think you can like I don't think you should all all of them are pretty degenerate and like that's the purpose of that's yeah like sometimes the 2D game does it like sometimes you make hentk and you're like we're just going to make a one-onone game where you just do this you just infinite people but that's what people are asking for for from like 2v2 and 3v3 yeah mainly or One V one people like dude what are you doing yeah aka me by the way that's me I'm saying that yeah one more for the RO yeah one more you got one more in you yeah to top it off the absolute classic dive kicks that's pretty easy I think they have to be underrated in the sense that in every game they tend to be good they're always good in every game like and if they're not then something like the dive kicks are just designed to be awful like they must have really gone out of their way to do it like even in Street Fighter 6 the dive kicks are not not actually that good in the sense that like they made the her box on like cammy's dive kick and and I'm sure you guys have seen J's dive kick and stuff I remember this discor too yeah they made the her boxes on them bad and stuff and they're still really good like they they didn't design The Frame data and like the way the the dive kick works as good as some other games but because punish counter exists dive kicks are naturally incredibly powerful in that game still and Cammy is an absolute Menace because of it and dive kicks like they they warp the reality of the game like in 2D games especially because like and like a game's like Street Fighter where the the power level of the characters is lower and like the pace of the game is slower like watch Street Fighter 4's last C cup which is Koko versus Daigo Koko famously played that game Street Fighter 4 and said I'm playing Yun cuz I don't want to learn how to play footsies like I'm just trying to play Yun and win and he did win and the entire set Dao's entire existence is how do I stop the die kick I got to stand arrange to beat the dive kick I got a whiff a light I got to jump back this I got to buffer this I got to like he's constantly afraid for his life and it's like the payone meme where the guyy singing pay phone and just vibing while his friend sweaty like kok just neutral jumping from half a screen away like what's up what you going to do like yeah dive kicks are extremely powerful they're one of the best archetypes of moves to have you can use them as throw baits you can use them to change your positioning you can use them to beat antiair you can use them to catch people trying to uh poke your Landing frames in like versus games they tend to be extremely belligerent because the other power level of the game ends up being higher so then they just make the dive kick even more belligerent like Wolverine's dive kick in Marvel 3 is one of the got to be in like the top five most like anybody on the planet could cook move to ever exist like a Helm breaker or something to like anything that can change air trajectory really powerful so yeah powerful underrated for sure I'm going to say uh rated actually only because only because there's a game made after it so clearly clearly people know that die kicks are stupid clearly right cuz they're a whole game I actually forgot similarly the only reason I remembered is because I was looking up footage I played in a dive kick tournament we're got second playing Dr scholes just dive kicking diveing and kick it D kicking and floating and floating she can float yeah that's true yeah so I think I think rated um I was talking about this but like not just dive kicks but just like Mobility special moves in general clearly devs know they're stupid because they go out of their basically they go out of their way to make weaknesses for them they have to they they they do [ __ ] stuff like um like making anti-airs guarantee work or like s sin's a good example right where his is his looks like a goat dive kick except it's like really slow or something they made it so bad they made it so so so bad you could tell an intern was cooking with him like I especially at lunch I was like dude I don't know who I don't know what Jake Timmy Luke was cooking at the arxus office but like that's the only excuse for him to come out that bad yeah that dive Ki you know that that dive kick at some point was like true block string into beak or something and he could like air Dash cancel jump H or something and it was true like there was something stupid about it at some point and they're like this this got to go this can't be like this all right but yeah where could people find you thanks for coming on uh yeah you know they can find me Twitter twitch YouTube you just look s m SJ m i talk about fighting games all the time I'll probably talk about this and ask people's opinion I'm so curious what people think about this idea for a video is
