Over Weight Utility Truck Calls For Old School Repo Technique

look good come come this way just just a hair you want to be in on it a little bit more i almost got this one it's enough to pull it out though so there you go you got it now cottwood heights police and pounded it no registration here man your tires your tires bouncing with that cadillac engine it's got that big five seven in there yeah my truck's still in the shop getting the gearbox put in and the bearing stabilizer needed to be replaced had to get this impound out before the five o'clock today and my trucks can be done right at about five so i shot up here on the bike with the paperwork and jake came over and met me and got it out for me so i'll shoot back down to utah county and get the truck out of the shop get some work done go through these two stop signs there's a new company over here he's doing repos now he's got a five-car four-car hauler and a dually and he's got a badass uh ford f 550s yeah he's a guy he's a towing company he's just not breaking trying to get into repos and stuff i saw his trouble here at mcdonald's the other day tonight so what's his what's his tow truck unit is uh it's a 550 yeah with the vulcan 812 intruder freaking beautiful setup as you pull his car bob dooley got a big dueling ford dooley he just has no clientele so turn right here on this little a street and you go back behind the buildings here i almost ran into the yard right over here the backseat is on this but this fence right here is this place i was gonna run yeah dog comes hauling ass out of there every time i come by here certified this mat what up there he is sure what do you mean dude yeah i'll get you some all right man rocky look at his hair at the back of his neck he's freaking standing straight up you have a fight don't you rock you out that fence they did they'd not they try to bite you through that fence oh you're ready to go now aren't you look at that hair dude just standing straight up you're ready to rock and roll aren't you [ __ ] beast so what do you got right now i'm done dude i'm gonna i'm done all right i'll see you over there having a little bit of technology difficulties this morning i just did an entire video segment for this repo got the phone call with the guy on video and everything and then went to uh end the video and my phone my old phone just blew up so to speak and i don't know so i think i may have lost that little video segment so i'm starting over again over here meeting with this guy pick up the key there's the key there's that card too if you need it for some reason okay do you need any of this paperwork i've got it i've got the copy of the title and i've got your order right here so okay everything came over okay along with the link you gave me for the google maps and stuff okay yeah i didn't know the exact address in there so i just yeah the market on my phone perfect um anything else you need for me or you'll just give me a call this is it right now we'll uh we'll get it picked up we'll get everyone else and i'll just shoot you a a reply with an update on what happened and once we have it over in our location and then i'll give you an address where it's stored at and then we'll just make arrangements do you store them in order right now okay great all right awesome thank you thank you we'll see you later but yeah so that guy was just on the phone with him did a whole video segment like i said i don't think my phone captured it there's about seven minutes and 30 seconds a week talking and talking to him and getting all that on the video and i hit stop it decided to just blink out and reboot i've had that happen a number of times with these droids that's one of the reasons why it's not 100 foolproof to be doing all of my video stuff from these working on getting off of these devices like right now i'm filming on my brand new phone yeah while this thing's rebooting but uh yeah got a key for the truck yeah i'm working on getting a new camera system uh getting body cam that has a high enough resolution hd resolution along with a good quality microphone so that i pick up all the audio because that's one of the most important parts about doing this video process is what's said i'm not only showing what happens but also what is said is very important so i've been experimenting with a couple different cameras obviously i got that gopro camera the first version there's been a number of uh significant updates they've got the new hero3s out now and i'm looking to possibly investing in one of those before i do i'm actually looking at another brand called ion that has an app that runs on the phone and you can actually control the camera from the app on your smartphone and you can stream the media the video in real time you can record it all that stuff so i'm gonna be playing with a demo of one of those uh before i invest in a brand new hero3 you know because the gopro's improving technology but i'm not totally crazy about the look and design and whatnot of those and the ion has a tubular shape to it has a better fit i think for other applications as well as for the videoing my repos and whatnot but see how it all goes it's all uh an experiment right always playing with technology figuring out uh what works and what doesn't work and what's reliable and what's not reliable this technology is always going to be glitchy there's always going to be a reason you know some app that was running and crashing at the time that i was videoing on this whereas the other 100 thousand times i've done video it's worked just fine and that one time it caused me to lose an entire video segment you know what you can make or break an entire court case you wanna you wanna try to make sure this stuff is as solid and redundant as possible that's why having multiple cameras allows me redundancy allows me if you know this camera breaks the chance that two or three cameras are going to stop recording or break or have a problem at the same time is you know almost infinitely impossible and so you want to always try to be redundant with technology it's really the only backup plan when it comes to using uh new technologies redundancy so we'll be up here just a second of this uh apartment complex pg where this truck is apparently sitting in the scope situation out apparently in the notes here it says not only does the truck have a utility bed on it but they said that he's talked to the fiji police and he mentioned the name of the guy and they know him very well and they've had a number of run-ins with him and so they said that when we called this repo in to mention that it is this guy's vehicle so apparently he's some kind of a hothead that has a criminal record wanna take that into consideration while we're figuring out our best mode of repossessing this truck don't meet this guy coming out blowing my head off that'd be the end of my channel oh fun days fun days well it looks like my uh entire sd card on that thing is corrupt or something i've i tried opening up the gallery on there i've got you know a whole bunch of video files on i thought it was just the last one i made and then the phone crashed but uh i call it a phone it's not even a phone anymore the droid x piece of [ __ ] crashed and uh which is why i upgraded to the one i'm holding in my hand right now which is the razer mac hd i love this droid it is definitely uh much muchly improved over the droid x i went from the droid heiress which is a total piece of crap didn't even run to a droid x which was at least it will at least run and do most of what i needed to do with the occasional crash to now this razer max hd this is my third generation it's running the fourth generation of the android uh operating system on it the latest version uh as well as uh all the latest updates and stuff but uh i haven't had a crash or an issue with it yet thus far all right this has got to be our 2500 with the utility bed so i should be able to hook that and take it if that beds not packed full and by looking at how it's setting on those springs it does not look like the bed is loaded down the wheels are turned a little bit what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna turn around so i'm aiming out of the apartment complex back the way we just came back up to this thing and hook it see how it lifts on my lift because even though it's a 2500 it is a short bed frame the single cab so weight wise we should be fine i've got my frame and suspension airbags and everything all beefed up to the point where my truck's basically an f-650 got this car right here is kind of somewhat in our way yeah i really love this user max because this thing is showing that going to the gallery and it just shows that icon right there and it shows that icon that means you've got a bad video file it doesn't show you a picture if i slide to the last one you can see it shows a picture little video clip of what's there i know i've got a good video file there but if i go to this one and click on it cannot play that means no bueno video file is bad i get this thing to start recording i'll switch it back over to this one try to not be recording on my phone do a little test video here hit stop make sure that it actually compiles and saves looks like it's working again now so i'll hit stop on my phone now we've jumped over to this one for video that way now my phone is freed up as always i did this i want to get off of using my phone as my video source because i always get phone calls and stuff and i want to have a device that i'm videoing from that is not my phone use this key to straighten the wheel out before we do that we already know that's going to set the alarm off get this thing hooked look at the distance between my wheel lift and the center of his wheel how far back my lift is going to be extended there's quite a hang over there let me get as straight as i possibly can i haven't had any kind of contact yet on this this vehicle right here is really affecting my ability to get to the back end of this truck i think my what i'm going to do actually i'm going to pull away here just a little bit i seem to have the freedom to work having any kind of contact i think i'm going to set the alarm off and i'm gonna put this truck in neutral and i'm actually gonna turn it let it roll back a little bit so i can get a straighter shot ass end of it crank the wheel and let it roll [Music] backwards still nobody has come out i've got the truck pulled out a little bit more in a little bit spinner here he comes running hey how you doing are you this will be possession really need to get out of the truck before picking up everything okay oh god you start grabbing what you need hey sir yeah you can contact you can contact them [Music] huh [Laughter] yeah i'm going to take that off and then pull this out yeah it's just getting ready to do that do you want the key i can go get it and bring it to you if you've got the key if you've got the key fob it'd make it a lot easier because i'll just drive your truck out of here instead of towing it okay how far is your [ __ ] just right through there oh wait for a second if you're gonna go grab your keyboard i'll just wait for you all right so again somewhere in the process my uh camera stopped filming look at that google drive has stopped working i think today is the uh technology day everything's just breaking and crashing not working it's lovely but yeah somewhere in the middle of that repoint and i did try to pick this up and it is too heavy like this this bed is packed full of his it's packed to the top this stuff just compressed my lift all the way down he's going to get the key fob right now and so once i have possession of that i'm going to reconnect the battery move my truck out of the way and i'm actually going to drive his truck out of here he thought it was getting impounded for uh no insurance so he was actually glad to find out it was a repo he's like i can deal with repo he's like i didn't want to deal with it being impounded for no insurance because i don't have the insurance on it you know he's actually being pretty cool thus far i want to get my lift out of the way and i just gonna stick a steering wheel walk on it so i can move my truck here's the way this utility bed is and stuff is set up you'd want either a self loader or a flatbed to move this big ass truck doesn't look very big but it is heavy yeah i'll shut my truck down and lock it up arm it pop the hood when he brings the key fob we can turn that damn aftermarket piece of [ __ ] alarm off which will bypass the starter interrupt so now this truck's not going anywhere with the steering wheel lock on it get my truck parked correctly and put away watch for him as we're working i don't want to go take my truck real quick and park around the corner where he doesn't know where it's at never want to leave a repo trucks or potentially you know he could cool now but you go inside and get thinking about it and get pissed off and want to retaliate in some way so you always want to make sure you never leave a repo truck out in the field if you don't leave it where they can find it he still hasn't come out yet said he had to walk over to where his shed was at so i'm gonna pull down here get my truck shut down and parked and then just get a ride back over here pick up the recon truck in a while yeah you need to have one heavy duty self-loader even my old dodge the front nose would have been floating if i tried to pick this thing up this thing would have been too heavy for my dodge i can see him walking towards the truck right now he's actually closer to it than i am so that's why with my truck gone and out of the way he has the key fob and a key in his hand he could jump in the truck and take off and with it right now we don't want that to happen that's why we put the steering wheel walk on there how did you guys find out where it was at well they had her address the comp i don't know how they did the company that has the loan with you just contacted us and gave us this location so they actually did all the work themselves they just called and gave us this direct location this is all open if you want to drive around to that complex right there if you want to stop it does that make you feel better i can unload the back i don't know i got the key to the ignition lock up the box i'm going to reconnect this will get ready to hit the button all right make sure it starts so you know how to get into that complex right there yeah you will go out on and then pull back in boulevard yeah and it's your box is in there yeah it's around back number 15. i'll be there okay i'll meet you over there boom just like that repo man using all the tools he has it's not always about using a repo truck it's about being smart sometimes the tools we have don't work got to go out planning for what we're picking up i already knew from the notes that it had a utility bed on it and was potentially going to be loaded down with tools and there'd be a weight issue and just by being prepared for that i was not caught off guard on this one and we were able to come out here armed with a key and we already were aware of the alarm situation so i can tell just by driving this thing it is loaded down but what i've done is now that he's given me a key and i've got possession of the truck to make him feel better you know this has got his tools and stuff in it his livelihood i'm going to pull over here to his shed and back up to it and keep control of the key and the key fob and the truck while we're over there and uh let him unload all his tools at his shed which uh also will make this truck more portable if we need to be you know end up having to tell it for one reason or another um which i can't imagine what we would because now i've got keys to it and it drives and runs and drives just fine but uh the finance company be glad to know that we got the ability to drive it and we have the transmitter for the alarm that just shows just more professional to be able to get all that stuff they they're much more impressed when you are able to do all that as opposed to just showing them a truck that's sitting there locked up in your yard with an alarm that keeps going off every time you open it it's pain in the butt they like it to see that we've gone the extra distance and gotten the transmitter and stuff for the alarm so he said he is number i'm guessing he's talking about the sheds so it looks like based on what i'm doing here he was actually staying in a different apartment and was parking this over in the apartment complex next to this one yeah these units here have garages with numbers so we're gonna be looking for his unit number let's pull up to it so he can unload his stuff and we'll get out of here how's that i'll just sit here with the vehicle running ac blowing on me let him do his unloading certified this mat corner house it should say 740 on the mailbox has a white fence that goes around it yep that's the right place i've got my repo now and so the guy's just unloading some tools out of the bed as soon as he's got them unloaded i'm in pg i'll be heading straight that way bye bye all right so we got someone waiting over at the yard to pick up that one red bronco he got it paid full was coming to pick it up they had us put a gps on it so in the future if uh we have trouble finding that one we've got a tracking device on it now which is kind of the standard now but anything we pretty much repossess uh before it goes back out if it doesn't didn't have a gps on it before it gets one installed right now that's kind of the standard protocol and it's getting to where i'm talking to the repo companies and stuff like jake and stuff and he's like man i just i rarely roll on anything anymore that doesn't have a gps disable on it and the vehicle's just he's like i'm just a transport company you know he hasn't had to look for a skip in months and he's like i just feel like i just go out and just pick up vehicles that are disabled and move him and transport him and he's like it's kind of taking the fun out of repond for them but luckily not all of my clients are still using gps and uh i still have to look for skips which keeps the job interesting i can see the health you just want to just do nothing but just drive into address after address badges and just moving cars all day long and there was no dealing with confrontation and no dealing with people hiding and i mean all the stuff that we really don't want to have to deal with but that is what keeps this job interesting and entertaining and probably what keeps most people watching this channel if all i did was just move cars all day long and never even talk to a single person there was never the human element of this job this channel would you know what what would be the point other than watching me talk to my droid all day long so this guy should be done here pretty quick and then we'll uh get out of here well i'm sitting here of course from a securities perspective i've done this long enough and i've had enough repos go from what i thought was the repo was going good and then they turned bad i've seen enough of those scenarios that you learn over time to what to watch for and stuff and one of the things that does happen is ambushes especially when with today's technology people got cell phones on them and someone can call and have a number of friends show up real quick if they have a turn of uh heart on what's going on and you always have to never assume you've got the repo until you've parking at your yard i mean that includes getting out of here transporting it everything there's a number of things that can still go wrong between now and having this being locked in my yard and while i'm sitting here i saw a big black truck pull up right there and this guy opened up this shed and then another vehicle pulled up right here backed up in front of me which is partially blocking me now and you know as this guy is unloading and stuff i've been watching to make sure he hasn't been on his phone at all and i know that while he first started unloading there was a car parked right here when the guy pulled out he stopped and talked with him so he's got friends and neighbors and people that live in here that know him that are like what's going on and you know and so i'm i'm watching as i'm doing this whole thing i couldn't find my keys to walk it's okay this will be a lot yeah this would be in a walk yard so it'll be all right so it'll be all right yeah you got the majority of your stuff out yeah just a bit of stuff okay cool all right okay cool buddy okay thanks yep make sure we're clear make sure he walks away but yeah i wanna i was watching to make sure that i wasn't being blocked in you know you gonna set me up to first off make it so that i can't get out here with the truck you know because if someone was to come in here and be by myself and fire six guys and they were to block the truck and they were to get physical with me nothing i could do you know you got to walk away from a situation like that or take one hell of an ass beating and still walk away from a situation like that so i was watching the entire time i had my doors locked you can see when you walked up to the passenger door i had to reach over and unlock that and that's about all you can do if you end up in a situation scenario like that is i got control the vehicle and i got the doors all locked and if some people had pulled up and they'd blocked in and they started banging on the windows and stuff i'd have been on the phone with 9-1-1 hoping the cops got here before they smashed the window and dragged me out and uh you know i've i've unfortunately been in scenarios that have gone that bad and uh you know when someone does not want to let a vehicle build they're not going to live in the airport you got to get that in your head that if you're not there's going to be times you're not going to be able to get the repo in this many times you're going to get the repo and then they're going to take it back you know and so you know your whole time you're reading you know what's his demeanor what's his attitude what's what's what's he doing what other people around me doing never ever ever let your guard down until you have got the repo back to the yard and secured and then from that point if they were to come and try to take it back it's a toilet if it's not the same as out in the world not by a long shot but feeling pretty good at this point we're on the road heading back to the yard got the truck got the keys got the alarm transmitter he's got all his tools out it's going good good repo man diesel was all the way down to 349 a gallon just a couple days ago and uh god i mean not even a couple i think yesterday it was 350s i i know i filled up yesterday the day before yesterday i paid like 351 a gallon and uh it's now back up to 389 a gallon jumped 30-something cents because of this weekend being the holiday weekend do that it's extortion that is [ __ ] i know gas didn't just all of a sudden become that much more expensive this is just one of the things about the setup of this economy in this country that pisses me off so bad is that not even our own president has control of keeping our gas prices down it's just aggravating all right i'm gonna get pulled up here release this bronco to this guy so he's got a ride i'm guessing he's probably in that white van across the street so we'll get the bronco released and then we'll back this utility truck right in its place then i'm gonna uh switch over to the bike go run errands on the bike a cadillac that jake got out of the impound force of the day okay go ahead and just climb up in there and back it up carefully all right yep yeah you're good pretty easy see you at the next repo actually in all honesty i joke you know see the next repo but i really do hope he is able to keep things together keep working his job and stay out of my sights i never hope for anybody to be up for repossession honestly i don't there's plenty of work out there and plenty of idiots that do come up for repo you know the repeat offenders and the ones that just you know that they're our regular clientele but you know that kid doesn't really fall into the category believe it or not he seems to be a good kid got his head on his shoulders and he's working a job and do what he can he's one of those people that just got into a tough situation doesn't seem like our normal clientele that's out there trying to defraud the system or jack anybody around he was straightforward and you know paid when he said he could pay followed through on his promise to pay you know there's enough indicators that we know that when we meet with people we know who the what we call repos you know and people that just come across hard times and that kid's just coming across hard times so hopefully we don't see him again all right got the gate all locked up now i'm just going to drive the mustang back out to where the truck's at and then i can just put the mustang bring it back like i said we'll park the repo truck and i got a number of errands to go run it's a beautiful day today so to save on fuel make up for all those idling hours that people are so concerned about on my channel i need my truck idling i'm killing the ozone i'll make up for those by switching to my 56 miles to the gallon ninja [ __ ] about that oh wait then i don't wear a helmet so there's always something right secure the wheel we'll just pull out back right up to her you see my new uh beauty mark running over that pole the other day plastic survived i should actually be able to pop that right back out pretty easy the sledgehammer give it one good whack not too concerned about it so i always love the looks i get when i've got the mustang on the back the thoughts that must go through people's heads the owner of that mustang get repo'ed what people assume mustang looks good on the back of the truck all right we're out of here [Music] uh uh it was actually the complex he was hiding it in that complex where you had it at and he's actually in the complex behind there okay because i uh he came running out and uh when the alarm went off the second time while i was hooking to it and uh we got talking and stuff and he wanted to get his tools and stuff out so i got the keys and transfers that's what i was triggering you probably said and so we went and saw that so he told me he's like yeah you gotta pull out of this complex and pull out onto pleasantville boulevard and then pull it back into the other that's why his address was in the other complex and i was just driving around last night looking for it found it in the other one he thought he was smart by parking it one complex over but not quite a serious garage here yeah i can get the rest of this stuff cleared out we'll be able to fit a couple more [Music] yeah it's right here yeah sure yeah you bet got the key you gave me plus the his copy and the key fob nice um sure didn't bring a check it still works it still works in america yep and it starts and runs good the alarm's actually off right now so if you have a receipt i could get used to i'll email it to you yeah yeah that email address you gave me on the order yeah by the time you get back there'll be a copy of the invoice and everything will be okay great i'm just waiting for someone to come over here and we'll drive it out i'll just park it on the street for now though all right you should be all right yeah no problem [Music] just like that put all the tools away switch over to the bike [Music] got a new little device that i've put on here this is a sticky pad it allows me to stick that on there just totally just grabs it could pivot it left right up down it gives me gps navigation i can stick this on here or i can stick my tablet on here and uh for navigation it just pulls right off just sticky it's like a sticky deal and you keep it clean every so often you clean it off with warm soapy water keep the dust and stuff off of it but uh i'll be testing to see how well this does as i'm riding around the bike today hopefully i found a new way to have this out so i can use it for navigation and stuff while on the bike hands-free i'm surprised this little suction cup thing actually holds onto the gas tank really well been bumping and bouncing all over the place and has not fallen off yet makes me a little bit nervous having a 500 attached to it but so far so good [Laughter] click it up and down it locks i can light lock it down i can pivot this thing pretty much any way i want to i can switch from my front camera to my back camera so i can showing up at me or straight ahead to see what's in front of me it's freaking pretty cool i think i might get another one of these maybe stick it on the back and i can switch the camera my phone front and back use my other one to put on the back for me getting video from the rear it's pretty cool 10 bucks at walgreens as seen on tv oh
