So whenever I go to Myrtle Beach I stay far south by the airport, in no small part because of this.

I saw an F16 take off from there once, and went almost straight up over the beach, it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen/heard.

I've also seen tons of Globemasters, a few A10's, and some Ospreys.

Nothing more American than getting day drunk on Myrtle Beach and watching military planes lol

I live near myrtle beach,and seeing jet passing over us is the norm. They sometimes fly very low sometimes too.

I'll never be as cool as that guy. 2 things I always find fascinating:

• Fighter pilots look around all the time. I picture them always looking straight ahead but they're all over.
• The nose of the plane is pointed down a lot. Much more than I'm comfortable with when flying commerical.
