Outdoor Shower/Tub Complete! | Weekly Peek Ep294

[Music] and that's dedication are you utilizing the rain for the art oh yeah have fun that's great so can are we gonna be able to see it or we'll have to wait okay in building with earth bags we discovered our family thrived creatively and grew stronger by working side by side we welcome you to be part of our family for this week's adventure [Music] yeah both of our numbers making a door yeah making a platform and a door for access here the two pieces there i'll be pouring this with concrete slightly slanted trying to keep the water from coming in no way are you gonna do that it's it's scary oh my gosh that's awesome you got a thing that'll help scrape it out genius [Music] [Music] got a little bit on the outside brie and jared were helping me get that a little bit but we still got more to do on that i jumped out to the exterior of the building because i didn't know exactly how long the paint bucket was gonna last and i thought if i run out i'd rather run out on the inside than on the outside [Music] creating an outdoor shower that was artistic and fun to enter was important to us because we first moved out here it was one of the very first things we did even when we were living out of the camper trailer we had hooked a spigot to the well holding tank and that was six feet up in the air and we were showering out there and this last little [Music] bite oh i love it mom i love it so much it's such a pretty color just and oh wow look how complete that looks now i'm concerned i'm not running out of paint so i'm not going to paint that until i make sure i have enough paint everywhere else oh it's so cheery and cute in here hey coming together so nice mom's been working so hard on this did you get them without with that brush yeah i mean it's glass you're gonna wipe paint off nice right we're very thankful our clouds have come in and rain has started to fall i did one mirror and i wanted to let you know i would like to retire did it drive you crazy yeah don't you like see yourself like multiple times looking in there no because i'm not looking at that oh my gosh there's three of you mom is there yeah i only see what i'm painting shane did we actually do it are we actually to the end of the paint yeah it's a miracle and did you see how much paint we had last night oh yeah we made it with extra which i wanted to have extra too because you know it's nice to have the extra for touch-ups or whatever in the desert showering outside is really helpful because not only is it refreshing and fun it keeps the humidity and the heat that happens when you're inside in that case we were in the rv it's nice to get those showers outside for that as well we got it girl oh my gosh it looks unbelievable tessa are we actually done yeah baby lollipops it's gorgeous i love it one step closer thank you for helping me oh that's sped it up times a hundred shea found another spot look how much paint we have left over let's call her quick shade if i see more tomorrow wait right there that's the bird poo oh but we painted over in anyway it's now sealed in the wall forever it was a white poo wait more is this white bird poop poop no that looks like lighter paint that looks like white paint this is the kind of job that you could do forever so we better just better all right i'm not gonna stop looking hey bryson what do you think oh oh how nice oh yeah good spot there definitely definitely needs to be touched up around i mean it's it's really neat nice this is not half you're good at that yeah for such a big brush i'm still admiring the spot in this little one yeah you're gonna find a ton of them okay that little one this is for you that's for you [Music] because the outdoor shower is something that we've all come to really enjoy and we use it constantly throughout the summer it was time now to step up the game and make something permanent my baby [Music] and bryce has been working on the floor i love what rock's popping up too and then i saw when you get these rocks wet is when they really get pretty which is perfect because it's a place with the water feature well right and we're gonna get some sort of sealer that's a wet look when and then that sealer will go on the floor it'll go on these rock structures taking an outdoor shower for me is one of my favorite things it's so refreshing it kind of gives me as an adult an excuse to get out in the rain in the sunshine hello hi i'm here to help all right so we're going to work on the security door for the outdoor shower yes indeed let's get her done so let me show you where the door is it's right here i like that let's take it in the backyard and figure out what we're gonna do with it hey what do you want i got a bunch of rust-oleum yellow and red i couldn't find orange okay so what would you like for the base i was thinking maybe that yellow yeah then we'll do highlights with the lighter yellow yes that'll be perfect that's right shae i think it's okay yeah it looks good when new people arrive at the homestead they always want to see the outdoor shower they're all excited but when they walk in there is like oh i wanted to create something where they walked in there and they're like wow this is really a cool structure all right we might have run out of spray paint that's working good jake yeah i figured this just for the back and then we can go back to having fun on the front can of paint we decided is older than show probably it's so old i remember it from being really young and it being around surprisingly these paints hold up pretty good i guess the thickness of the layer determines how old they really are oh that's true it was like and get some orange on there it's good doesn't it yeah well we could do just this and we could do more [Music] we wanted to make something not just functional like what we've done in the past this time we wanted to make it permanent and something that was enjoyable to walk into oh shay you're out in the rain that's dedication that is so cheery sorry for the water waste collected dirt oh i love this it's speckled that is fun there you go oh little speckles it's all from the rain what timing it was the first rain of the season i love it sweetie okay i'm getting out of the [Music] can't rain let's just gonna do these little like [Music] raindrops [Music] good you're satisfied now possibly this yellow works really well in the water [Music] actually very cool and i love the squirrels it's like a space theme inside of it yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah what is your art piece name i have no shoes and i don't know where the door is adequately chosen i believe we got the handheld again you know so that we can clean dogs and stuff [Music] oh yeah gotta make them shine look how pretty they are once they get cleaned up so they look so good green it's like a night and day difference i think it might it's worth it you know because it just looks so much better they look really good tomato from aquaponics any good [Music] we decided we wanted the grandchildren to make their mark on whatever project we happened to be working on at the time when azalea was a baby we were working on the doors and this time the shower so it just made sense to put kinsley's little prints on the outdoor shower yeah so we're gonna get ready for kinsley so put the hand i think your hand you might really get the fingers better too okay okay okay just push it right in do a foot in a hand okay right foot or left foot look at her spreading your toes oh she's like an angel like a pro with this oh let's get him in a little deeper okay here he's our water good job okay ready kids one right like there maybe let's receive might get a fist this one oh i got some it does kind of look like a hand sorry thank you [Music] there it is she grabbed a fistful uh you got to put kinsley's name there now did you see that azalea did you see your sister's hand and foot up there well it's perfect now she's got her little stamp on here the tub and the sink are an added bonus and having the hot water will possibly allow us to use this now in the fall in the winter we'll have to see what happens [Music] [Music] when we put the concrete sealer on the floor the first coat is not popping the floor according to the instructions we can go up to four coats so we're gonna keep doing that to try to get those to pop [Music] who's the door that's awesome oh that's so cute oh that looks so good i don't think we've seen the sink yet yeah oh look at the floor oh they got your shower head oh yeah that looks so good the drain yeah that's the drink cecilia look at look at this sink oh look at this it's even got little stuffs everywhere to hold your knee there you go do you drain the whole system or two then huh yeah that looks so good in there too concealer you gotta bring out the colors that's cool i love the color and the cheap picture oh it's so cool oh with the little rock border oh it's cute okay who is that [Music] that's a good idea i love all the broken glass in here broken ears [Music] so this is the door here she did oh cute yeah it's really cute i like that that looks awesome oh i love it oh yeah beers i like them oh my gosh that is so cool it's like the shape of a heart does it work out here this is so cool we love the memories that our building projects provide the sink is always going to remind me of bryson the door shea and brie and i working on that bottle river and all the hands that came together to put this project together to not only build an outdoor tub and shower but we built memories and stronger family ties together i imagine in the days and the weeks ahead we'll start to fill this up with more plants and decorations but right now it's in a completed state and i'm very happy with the outcome [Music] so [Music] well that wraps up the shower build it is now complete and i have showered in it and i will say it it's wonderful it's like a sprinkler outside the t-shirt design of the week is totally awesome and frogtastic both of which inspired by the corrugated metal outdoor shower the old one that we tore down link in description to the shop which we have wonderful
