(Out Dated) How To Make Windows 10 Virtual Machine 2023

first video 2023 as you can tell things look a little different over here we got that old server that we're working on and then we got our flat screen TV over there um no I'm happy to be back sorry it's taking so long we're going to jump right into this I'm remaking the uh virtual Machines videos because Oracle decided to update all of its stuff so that being said we're gonna hop right into it so go to the first link in the description it should look like this it'll say Windows 10 media creation tool you're going to click the download button over here while that is downloading go ahead and go to the second link should look just like this guy this is where you get the actual VM software and click on Windows hosts let those guys download and then you can close out of your browser go to your downloads first thing we're going to install is the media creation tool give her a double click hit yes close this guy takes a second to load but what this is is we're basically making a copy of your version of Windows so we can use it on your VM it's a lot more technical than that but this is the quick guide so we're just going to make it nice and simple once you're ready to go hit the accept button and click on the create installation blah blah blah or ISO file uh leave it this you don't have to mess with any of this hit next right here choose ISO file if you wanted to make a USB that would be for reinstalling this on an actual physical computer since we're doing it with a virtual machine though we're just going to use the ISO file hit next where do you want to save it right to our desktop good that is going to take a minute so go to your downloads and we are going to install the actual virtualbox software now same thing hit OK all right Setup Wizard real basic stuff you're just going to spam that next button um yes yes yes next install good to go copying files this guy will install super quick but I will be back as soon as both of these have finished all right we have the windows 10 ISO and we have the software uh for the virtualbox installed you're not going to have alpha bravo and Delta those are my personal things yada yada yada click on the new button let's start making some VMS all right so the name I'm gonna call it the tech Loop the folder yes this is works for me uh and the iso image so I want to select the image that we just downloaded if it's not right here for you click on the other Tab and then just find where it is it's on my desktop so bottoming there it is okay this skip unattended installation you can make it so this VM installs itself basically by itself I don't like doing it that way I like doing it you know my way because I always have an issue with how there's some admin rights issue that I can't seem to figure out I'm still working on it but if I need to make another video about it I will all right so in here we're talking about Hardware um I explained this in my last video and there was still some confusion if I have 10 gigs of RAM right on my main computer the computer I'm recording on right now has 10 gigs I cannot give my virtual machine 10 gigs of RAM because then my computer doesn't have any you can't give more than what you already have so for this example I can give it you know four gigs that's not an issue at all same thing with the processor you know I'm going to give this guy three cores or whatever we're gonna hit next we're gonna create a virtual hard disk now it does not need to be 50 gigs we're going to make this guy 25 gigs um again you can make this as big as you want as long as you have the space for it you can't make it a million terabytes if you only have you know 10 gigs it's not how that works all right hit next summary finish so now we have it right here I'm going to start up the VM um give her a second so from here on out it is pretty much the same as the last video the only thing that changed was those interfaces that you already saw I click on view and I click on scaled mode just so that I can resize this bad boy to my liking close out of these I don't care all right cool Windows setup next install now um yes it'll be slightly annoying because I have to cut in and out when it doesn't you know have the stuff I'm looking for I don't have a product key uh we're gonna hit that bad boy move on from here you can pick what you want I recommend you pick Windows 10 Pro next again I accept the license and terms now you got to read that make sure you read that super important stuff next we're going to do a custom install Windows only advanced all right well there's not many options because we only gave it 25 gigs in one partition so select the one that you made hit next cool so it's going to run through this and I will be back as soon as it finishes that so this is the first pop-up um we're gonna do this in the United States we're gonna wait just a moment yeah keyboard US keyboard skip another layout because I don't care I only use one keyboard and I only know English so we're gonna stick with that all right our next guy how would you like to set this up I'm gonna set this up for personal use because I am me all right let's add your account I don't want to do any of this I want to make an offline account that doesn't mean that your can only be offline on it it just means that you're not signing into all this Microsoft so click that and then click on limited experience from here I want who's going to use this PC the tech Loop hit next password not telling you what that is because it's super secure and I don't want you guys to steal my VMS security questions also does not matter just fill them out with one two three which is not my password so don't even attempt it I got stuff in my trash can I got stuff in my trash can all right so this was the next little bit choose privacy settings you can check all this you can uncheck all this it doesn't matter if big brother wants to watch you Big Brother's gonna watch you so just leave him my interests are none of these skip that Cortana absolutely not I hate Cortana it's annoying worst voice ever this is the last little bit the home stretch we gotta wait for them to do all their fancy schmancy stuff and then we aren't good to go cool so that was it I mean we got our VM here let's uh go down here and check the system information and just see here that everything matches up I gave her four gigs we got four gigs um yeah there's the processor everything is good to go let's check the drive space yeah so I mean that was it you made a VM I'm gonna make another video on what you can do past this point you know to update it and get everything going where it needs to be but that's it you can do whatever you want with this thing you could download viruses you can download games you can download hacks for games do whatever you want um maybe not the hacks for games because that's annoying but yeah I mean you're good to go this is it this is a VM uh what's next let me know who
