An Amazing day at LEGOLAND Billund and Staying on their Fantastic Campsite

Lindsay's driving and we're heading to Denmark today it's been a while since you drove a car with gears is that right it is point in and shooting and listen to the engine yeah listening to the engine that's the whole thing isn't it right it was a much better day than yesterday to be driving isn't it absolutely so every time every time we drive past a an exit the urge to shout out really loud Devon's like an angry language isn't it sounded we soon pulled over for bike week and for kids to stretch their legs so just met this lovely uh Romanian guy who's been broken down here I think his wheels off or his Hub is off or something like that and it's been stranded here since yesterday um and he's just looking for somebody with a drill to be able to drill the bolts off on his wheel you've been stranded here since yesterday yeah oh man so what happened to the whim ah I change it because I have flat tire on the other one and I don't know what happened and it means drilling out yeah look good at here oh man he's stranded he just needs a drill for somebody to drill this out man sorry I don't have a drill on his body man hopefully he'll come across somebody with a drill to help you out I hope so as well all right yeah let's just hope somebody comes along to help him out he's a lovely guy from Romania and back on the road again it's lovely driving in the sunshine though isn't it right all that rain yesterday was Dreadful it was a nightmare I don't like driving in rain at the best of time but [Music] foreign okay we just crossed the border into Denmark and um I'm filling up with fuel for the first time we've just put 700 krona on the pump so let's see how much this fills it up with I don't think you'll fill it to the brim this time though I've gone and put 700 krona in which is 82 pounds and 84 Pence that's gonna be 55 liters of fuel so how does that compare to Germany I'm sure after I get up on the screen right now I was like how exciting is this Georgie happy birthday okay we're here we're at Legoland let's go and check in and see if they've got room for us because in true relative style I've not pre-booked this so they have room for us for two nights and it's three thousand and two which is 366 pounds so it's two nights camping and all five of us in the park tomorrow so she's put us on a lovely big pitch and all I've gone and done is push the button and this thing's just gonna level us up this air suspension's a game changer it's fantastic so we're for two nights and Linda's getting it back into a nice living room area right it'd be nice to have somewhere to sit it's really it's all set up for the kids for travel there's not really anywhere to sit apart from on their beds and when we just do one night here one night there it's not worth doing this whole shebang where we turn it into a lounge does it no it's a lot of work yeah so just on the math for you guys that like to know the cost of these things um it looks like the tickets to Legoland was about 240 quid for tomorrow for the five of us so that leaves 120 quid left so 60 quid a night for the campaign um and the five of us in the park was 240. so not cheap but it's George's birthday so she's put us on a lovely big pitch I did say we're nine meters can I have a big pitch please um it's a little bit muddy but we're all right we'll get out of here and there's plenty of room there's plenty of empty pictures there but she did say they do get busy in the summer so we didn't pre-book but in the summer you probably want to pre-book so we're here and we're right next to the toilet block here well the boys are off playing pool I have got a very important I have to keep George's iPad awake so he can download lots of more videos and things for the journey ahead we've driven a lot over the last couple of days and he's absolutely got through all his videos so when he's taking the opportunity to use the site Wi-Fi to to download as much as we can awake put that there also because it's month end and actually Financial year end I have to do the accounts as well we may be on holiday but I still have a little bit of work to do whenever we're using a public Wi-Fi such as on to the second busiest airport in the country but it right about 5 30 this morning I don't even remember hearing them last night no in the evening there you go but be known there was an airport right next door which is another reason why I cannot fly my drone and try to take the Drone off to get some shots yesterday no fly zone so I couldn't do that anyway we're here for Legoland so it's going see what's going in store excited George yeah right it's about a five to ten minute walk from the campsite to get here the queue was quite big but we got through in no time probably 10 minutes queuing and we're in so we're going on the water ride first so is this noise it's beautiful sunshine and it's not as cold as it looks and it will be fine I can't wait probably wasn't wise to do this as the first ride love this is a water ride a little different where the lid comes down hold tight hold on foreign [Music] [Music] help me [Music] how is this George I am speechless is this your favorite part of the Park yeah so this was a good idea how was it my love generator well you can't go to a theme park without going on the roller coasters so sit back and relax whilst I take you on a couple of them [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] I wonder [Music] foreign I'm glad I didn't do that one after lunch let's just say that okay we've gone four three fish and chips two chicken tenders and chips and it's come to 495 Grand that was really good I think we're all a little bit surprised how good quality that was it was cooked fresh and it was tasty and the tomato sauce were probably the best dinosaurs I've ever had [Music] the fact [Music] s everyone enjoyed that very cool branding off the day with a few presents for Jordan with a few little bits so what we've realized it I would say 30 more expensive than at home in Smith's Toys Superstores so not buying a lot no so we're just going to get little some little stunt cars because they're kind of cool this one's got a selfie stick and a camera on and this one's doing a stunt in the bathtub um because they're just they're kind of fun little things that you can play with in restaurants open on his birthday we might have to one now and one for his birthday it is even it is you can tell it's the end of the day how was the ride yeah really good we all got an extra one fantastic awesome in the evening the boys play pool in the communal area and then kick back watching a movie on the projector in the back of the camper van good morning um chairs I'm off the table so you can clean underneath but that's a slightly different aside I have been on the move or we have been on the move for four days now and my back is seasoned out my legs are seasoned everything's sore and stiff so I'm gonna do a stretch and a little bit of yoga get my day started [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh that wasn't well thought out or very well planned that was just me finding new bits for my body that hurt as things started releasing ah maybe a bit more intentional tomorrow but I do feel a little bit better now I still haven't worked out why we're getting together in a water in the footwell but I have seen some posts on Facebook that other people are having the same problem and one guy posted that water was coming through where his 240 socket was on the outside but that isn't the case with us I'm only finding it in the footwell so let us know in the comments if you guys have experienced this water build up in the uh in the footwell yeah that's all sorted nope I'm going to keep an eye on that and see if we can work out what's causing it the Holiday Park here at Legoland is glorious our friends Pedro and Claudia who own the Campsite in Porto that we stayed at a couple of years ago love everything about Denmark they love the campsites here and I understand why the pictures here are beautiful it's pristine there's over 300 pictures there's loads of them it's fabulous and it's all Lego themed we're a stone throw from leylandia which is a big indoor Aqua Park there's climbing there's all all sorts of fantastic activities we didn't squeeze in time to do that this time I've heard it's very expensive but we just didn't have time to go and see there's also a restaurant and as you walk through the park you'll see the different themed areas it's all based on the wild west even the checkout box for your key cards is a Lego I love it we're here at Easter which is the start of the season for this campsite it's been a Legoland campsite since 2017. the theming is gorgeous there's lots of Lego characters there's lots of parks as well as you'd expect from a family-based campsite but there's also some carts as well that you can hire of course we're on a tour in Pitch but there are cabins and glamping pitches available as well each area has its own theme this is the raccoon Forest but I think wolf territory is my favorite look how gorgeous these Lego wolves are Lego wolves this one's a very cool Park give the details squirrels on top of the map just through the doors behind me are communal barbecues and you can come in here and eat together cook together share together the boys have spent quite a lot of time playing pool here too and right there is where I did some yoga this morning one thing I did notice this morning that made me smile is this the chairs are hung from the table so you can clean underneath it I think that's just as a mom that's clever I like that now we've got to be careful because we're entering Bear Country they've even made the Lego beavers nor Through the Wood I've never seen anything like these before they're like giant barrels or Gypsy Caravans but static either way they've all got a Lego animal on top the Wild West theme and goes right through the park and the best park at the back of the park is this one look how gorgeous it is here in summer it is going to be very very busy we've been so lucky to have almost have it to ourselves the boys had a fabulous evening on these two big bouncy cushions they've even got zip ones we've found some animals that aren't made of Lego with proper goats and gorgeous donkeys with big eyelashes we've just found some indoor communal kitchens to go with it outdoor barbecues there's Hobs there's washing up facilities there's even microwaves that you can use okay let's show you the communal showers you've got sinks over here over here and toilet through here and showers through here but I want to show you the family bathrooms that's what really what makes this site check these out so there you go there's lots of these you've got baby changing here you've got sinks here I know you've got a toilet in here and a double shower just here I think they're perfect really well thought out for families now this kind of attention to detail love from a caravan site or a campsite next to me are the family bathrooms and right outside is another little play area so if you get one of your kids showered you can let them out they're safe you're just inside finishing off I really like that level of thoughtfulness this campsite is gorgeous one of my favorite family-friendly campsites I've ever been to and we're not really in season five stars from the Redwoods this one yep it's pristine it's well laid out it's gorgeous yeah and it's only five minutes from Legoland where we spent the day yesterday now it was busy at times but we didn't queue for anything for more than 10 minutes right good time to go is Easter I understand this campsite gets pretty full and I'm understanding Legoland to be a lot busier in the summer yes but I still don't imagine it will feel as overbearing and over QE as we've experienced in some of the theme parks it's it's just very cleverly done it's beautiful and there's something for every age yeah yeah so we're wrapping up there guys and we're going to leave you here we've got a ferry book this evening we're heading to Norway [Music] um
