OSM-MR#11 Hackfest - OAI Onboarding Demo by Panther Team

um first of all we would like to thanks uh for osm team uh to give this opportunity uh work on this demo we collaborate uh to achieve some tasks uh first of all uh regarding with oi core network open air interface core network deployment and testing we completed task one two and three let me explain uh what we have done uh first of all we deployed two ham charts by extracting the uh multu's part uh i initial that they are working then we transferred to the juju bundles we also deployed usually bundles without osm directly and at that part we showed that version has a mismatch the upgrades or osan osm version 2 2.9.14 then it was working properly we prepared our descriptors and they onboarded the core network on osm successfully and we checked that we are getting the heartbeat request from upf and getting through uh n4 uh association setup response from smf so core network is functioning properly uh we verified and the one issue we have missed forget to assign some static ip address in genome b part so that part we missed that part and uh later we worked on the action part uh in uh my teammate 12 will present is the restart action part for task 4 so uh i'm transferring to him now mr toga if you would like you can go on at the end we will we can okay in the live demo uh he will present okay uh in the restart actually we prepared two actions uh first stopped the tcp dump service in the mf application then uh generally in the beginning because of the config parameter it was it was starting first we stopped stopping it and then starting it and check that uh it's working properly uh ticket file is uh we are deleting the pkf file and then after starting the service we show that the pkf file is again occurred and the data is inside and we for task five we made a scale-up operation we scale uh scaled several cns amf smf nrf and g noddy in the beginning g not b scale has some problems and after the david's updates in the repository it was also successful we tested all these scaling operations and it's the results after g not be scaled we show that the two ue is also uh yeah here 2g node v is here shown in the amf part later uh for task 6 we uh define the analytic version change [Music] action in nrf application what it was doing is in the configuration file in rfconf modifying the config from version 1 to version 2. and we tested that it was working functioning properly also we will demonstrate them after the presentation hirage or changed version of a version shown in the picture and the other actions are also completed uh what are the difficulties we have need that we couldn't execute the sub process command in the car network containers because the subprocess command is directly executing in the charm container that's why uh for first we aim to change some db parameter mysql parameter change for example inserting a new subscriber and to do my sql try to execute some mysql insertion comments but it was failed then we made some more simple things thanks to [Music] and also thanks to mr david indica majes sylvia and for their great support gerardo let me make the or live demo here now we have a fresh service yeah it's completed and go to the cube ctrl part here are our pots and let's check they are functioning properly by executing this yeah we have 36 heartbeats requests in the upf and in the smf we got n for restoration setup response from upf here let's do the day two operations and the config change and the skilled operations i will handle the just config change operation then transfer to do my teammate to perform other parts here or osm ue now we will make a configuration change first check the initial configuration it will be in the nrf containers uh here underscore there was a configuration yeah we see that after version is version one now they will execute our action changeup version yeah it is completed yes yes it's version 2 and the scale operations and the service restart operations uh mr didn't have that knowledge so i would like to know if compared to others based on their knowledge that they have it's been easier than others because of that or uh from my side it took too much time to understand the 5g core network functions and what's meaningful what kind of day two actions can be done on them uh to uh it too much time to realize that that was difficult i mean the case the cases were difficult for me to understand the cases for my site uh [Music] selection between hand charts and you should bundles uh takes some time uh how can i handle the tasks uh with the hand charts uh i thought about that part so much then after transferring to jujubandos it goes quickly so uh the hem chart parts i guess there are some missing functionalities [Music] and yeah some also need enhancements in the vnft part for the actual video configurations okay thank you [Music] i have one a small question i saw that a particularly in one of the actions that you implemented the one for the uh touching the or changing the version of the nrs i think it was and for that you use the um the files api of pebble uh and well it was a bit more complicated that than uh than the rest of the actions that you implemented so i i'd like to to know if it was challenging to follow the level documentation and how how was that was it very easy complicated this purple action is easy i guess because everything is written in the usual file usual website and we just uh checked and did it yeah it we did it quickly it was not not so much okay okay perfect perfect because also that's something
