Huge win, David. Absolutely. And yes, the story of the family is absolutely remarkable. It's one that you would see in a movie, but unfortunately, it's not all a fairy tale. As one of the winners, Charlie Soften is battling to stay alive. On Monday, the Oregon lottery announced the three winners of the $1.3 billion powerball ticket sold in Northeast Portland, one of which is Laos immigrant Chang Sin of Portland who goes by Charlie and he's also the winner that's fighting for his life since 2016 for eight years. Now, Charlie bought the only winning ticket in the country to match all five numbers including the powerball sharing. It was a combination of faith and luck when purchasing over 20 tickets for the drawing. And then I was thinking, oh, I'm happy for my family, have a good life. He said he wrote down the numbers one through 69 on this piece of paper and placed it in his pillowcase for two weeks before the win, asking God to help him pick the winning numbers. It's not the one I pick, pick, pick for. The other two winners were his wife Dan Pin and his friend Liza of Milwaukee, who went half on purchasing the winning ticket. The three decided to take the one time lump sum payment, which after taxes drops to about $422 million. He went on to share the special moment. He found the winning ticket while having coffee with his mom. 50% of the winnings will go to Liza while Charlie and his wife will split the other half. Now, I did ask Charlie what he plans to use the money for. He said that his top priorities is buying a house, his dream house here in Portland. He's hoping to stay here, of course. And then also taking care of his wife, two Children and also getting a great cancer doctor. If you want to read a little bit more about his story and also watch the full press conference.
