Opening Pokemon Cards But It's A 20 Year Old Sealed Box!

what's going on polka cave and welcome back it has been a little while but i'm excited today because we're going back to the old school days all the way back over 20 years ago to a first edition booster box from the wizards of the coast era this is one of the og's i don't know if you guys are ready for this i'm super excited because i have it right here in front of me if you guys are excited course have rock misty erica and lieutenant search on the front here all of their pokemon are within this booster box this is the first of the gin series there's also gym challenge which is probably equally as amazing but as the first nation stamp here at the bottom and i'll show you guys all around on this booster box here it's got that original shrink wrap here wizards of the coast this is like coolest thing about this opening today is that our good friend our good buddy the man from space elon musk got prices for every single one of these cards in both psa 10 and psa 9. do you know how much time that takes out of the kindness of his heart to support the poke cave threw in every single price so every time i see a pokemon for the first time i'm going to tell you guys the pricing of what it's worth right now in the current market if roger's one year from now it could be completely different but right now it's very second these are the the latest prices on these ken sugamoir are working literature's eradicate not gonna lie i like rats out a little bit better than raticate it's like when you get when you got a kitten you know you have like a little kitten and then just you know i'll go with the rat attack but anyway 51 in the set uh is actually in a psa 10 going for around 40 dollars it could be off because there's only it says there's only like uh 12 of these that exist in a psi 10 i think um or 13 of them that exist in a psa 10. so they're good that could be like very off because they're just really hard to find so it could be like a super old pricing eric has oddish number 47 in this set going for around 86 dollars in a psa 10. so this could be a more current price oh i was about to say something like i was about to say something i was thinking something else so my brain was just fighting with my voice but anyway uh just say thanks to elon musk in the chat if you haven't already all right number 105 in the set this is blaine's last resort you got a lot of these cars with the gym uh leaders on the the cards there so they're pretty cool there's different versions um but blaine's last resort around 60 and a psa 10. we got the fighting energy did i do the card trick right i did all right misty seal this is number um 88 in the set misty seal worth around 70 ish in a psa 10. we got bla uh brock's manky brock's manky number 68 in the set brock's menke 85 and a psa 10. and of course you can't really grade any of these right now you can't i mean if you're going with psa you can't there's also beckett but i think beckett closed down a lot of them as well so i don't know there's cgc too and i don't know everybody asks which is what's greating what company she's a great i don't know i don't know anymore times are changing that's all i could say i don't know i don't know i mean psa is like the the the ogs for pokemon anyway i don't i mean it's crazy now anyway eric is oddish um so this actually says 175 less sold in the psa 10 which is with a tentacle that's super nostalgic number 57 um where is it oh about 90 in the psa 10 about 40 psa 9. we got the fighting energy and the horsey misty's horsey number 86 dude i used to collect this set so much back in the day um 65 dollars in a psa 10 40ish 35 ish in psa 9. we got brock sanchez that's interesting though so like i remember before i'd always be like yo it's it's definitely worth it because even if you get a nine if you still have like a 40 card or whatever but if they're gonna start charging 20 a card and you're not looking to keep in your collection i don't know i don't know like if you're looking if you don't need the card and you get a nine on it then you go to like sell an ebay they get fees shipping all that stuff but it used to be like six dollars a card seven dollars a card and when they reopen the tier back up they might even i don't know i heard i feel like they might just bump it up again the actual price on it which is already bumped up multiple times like gotta gotta gotta preserve them i gotta make up for all the cars i destroyed as a kid i mean that's literally the reason i have to make up for all the cards i destroyed as a kid cause i was a kid if you've been here in the hokey for a while you already know when i was a kid front pockets two decks of cards like in an instant i could pull them out and a battle would go down doesn't matter all 10 um is going to be the blaine's moltres worth over four grand there's also the dragonair worth around 900 to a thousand the viable is even 1200 in a psa 10. um the fiero is about 1200 in the psa 10. um the other moltres is around 1500 the scyther is going for over 3000 psa 10. the gengar my boy dude even crushing it worth really dude that's okay sabrina's gengar if you got that in a ps8 that goes for around six thousand dollars um wow okay you get all the trainers and uh hollow as well there's a bunch of stuff in here so let's hope i want the birds i want both versions i want i want the gengar there's two different vulpix i believe in this set this is number 65. um blaine's vulpix goes for about 100 bucks in a psa town that's cool car we got the slowpoke the classic the classic be fair ash made every battle challenge yeah that's true that's true all right um the salute onyx number 69 in the set onyx about 130 psa 10 because that's like okay if you think about it that's like truly one of i feel like they should have they have a little bit more of a uh popularity to them when um when it's actually the pokemon from the anime like onyx is such like a a pokemon for brock especially like that's a nice card and the slowpoke and the bronx onyx then we got the staryu i think this is the other artwork we pulled one of the other ones i think because you'll have different artworks here for different pokemon this one's worth about 125 into psa 10. we got the tangela come on baby let's go let's get a holo time first holiday oh it is our first holo from first edition gym heroes dude look the biggest in this set is definitely a top three top five blaine's mole tricks one of the two it is number one in the set going by the number on the bottom the blaze moltres is worth over four thousand dollars in a psa 10 and a psa 9. we're talking over 500 only 57 of these exist in a psa 10 it is tough to grade this one but man this is a beautiful card there's two that mulchers are such a i don't know they put mulches in twice they had to put moltres in twice in this set so there's two different artworks let the fire rain down in the chat ladies and gentlemen oh the centering is like perfect on this are we gonna have a print line is the question i'm really nervous on this one you see that swirl three hollows in a row with a swirl one pack magic for michael centering is like ten about one fifty ish in a psa nine it's not like the most expensive hollow hit but what i really like about these is they've been coming out really really clean like this is this happened last time with jim harris i don't know has anybody else opened up gym heroes um booster packs first edition uh and noticed that the quality is really good because like this is some of the best quality on wizard the coast stuff um on a lot of them but see the magneton has a super light hollow background and when you get that you usually can see a print line we do see a little one down there on the left side unfortunately but they're they only take up like a very small portion of the hollow which is interesting when you do see any the magnets i know we're gonna make a pokemon i'm thinking i think it just would get a bunch of magnets just stick them together it's all about the nostalgia though and all my stuff is uh going out the we got the the light is flicking we got like a little at three hour mark is usually when the dance party starts see that see the light it's like just flickering that's when the party begins so i gotta swap that out you know it's a long stream when either if you see me with dragon air in multiple hollows back in the day so they did recognize it as a cool pokemon a lot of i mean like pretty much most of the biggest hit pretty much all the biggest hitters were pulling
