As much as the story has improved and as lengthy as this cinematic is, I can't deny that the animation this time has, as others have pointed out, "collapsed" despite being in 3D, not to mention that 2:10's models don't look the greatest to begin with. The perils of perspective issues in cel-shaded 3D animation in particular are on full display here with faces changing radically when viewed from the front, the side, or at an angle, and even the intentional deformations look bloated rather than expressive. You can excuse the choppy direction this time due to how it was originally split up anyways, though.
