ONE PIECE Star Iñaki Godoy Breaks Down His First & Last Day On Set Of The Netflix Live Action Series

I'm Miyaki and I play Luffy Netflix news series one piece and I'm going to walk you through my first day and last day on set let's do it in this scene we just got into shell Town Luffy wants to get a map to the Grand line and Kobe wants to enlist to the Marines I didn't know there were so many Pirates there are way worse pirates in the grand line we were filming in South Africa at Cape Town film studios obviously there's a lot of very talented people but they also did some Pirate shows before so they already had like ships and like a lot of people that knew how to work in Pirate theme projects so that's why we were there it was a very beautiful place the weather is pretty nice it gets a little bit windy so with the best it can get a little bit chilly it was pretty hot on my first day actually it was not super cold maybe it was because I am pretty hot too right okay that was a terrible joke where's my face I know right Luffy where is his face that's what I'm talking about well only one way I'm going to get inside that base and there's not an empty stomach come on it was a very exciting day it was also a day in which I was very nervous I obviously wanted to honor Luffy and honor one piece and I knew it was a big responsibility and then I just get here and there's like a bunch of Marines this giant town that they just built for the show and I'm just there with my straw hat and now it's like well it's time to be Luffy the main thing for Luffy at least for me is that he always has fun if I was able to have fun and enjoy shooting then that would translate into my [Music] character wow the last scene the Kuro fight scene I was having a lot of fun filming this fight scenes the way he moves and everything I did a lot of my stunts if you see my face that's me but if you don't see my face that's my amazing double Cameron and he is amazing and he makes Luffy Fight Like a Pirate before filming one piece I didn't really have any stunt experience the stunt team are amazing and they taught me a lot of things by the time I did my last fight scene the stunt team knew they could trust me and I knew that I could trust myself to do crazy creative things gum oh yeah the gum gum oh my go I love doing that last move it was a really emotional day in a lot of ways I was really excited about finishing this massive project but I was also really sad because I was going to miss my friends and most out of anything I was going to miss Luffy on my first day of shooting I was pretty nervous on my last day of shooting I was also nervous but I knew I had it under control the more I got into my character the more I played him he impacted me in a lot of ways he pushes me to be the best version of my myself so I was really sad to have to leave my straw hat for a while everybody put a lot of effort into bringing this story to life one thing that really helped me out while filming was knowing that I could trust my team that they would take care of me it's really awesome when you have a team that you know you can trust Luffy came to life because of all of us well hopefully that gave you a behind the scenes look into all of the work that went into this show so don't forget to check out one piece is streaming now on Netflix go check it out one piece the coolest show ever [Music] made
