suspended in space with coming out what's up guys welcome back to the channel and you guys ask for it something different than an E30 today we about to give you guys the low down on Warren's E36 4door emp3 but if you guys want to see more stay tuned [Music] [Music] so before we start talking about the car and Warren I want to wish all the Muslims that are watching and everyone that celebrates Ramadan Mubarak may this month be a amazing spiritual journey for you and please remember my family and myself in your prayers and your dasas as well I so it's a month that all Muslims around the world look forward to it's a time for us to repent and take stock of our blessings that we have in life and also to get closer to our [Music] creator [Music] so first of all you guys would have heard in previous videos I'm always talking about Warren so Warren is a very good friend and client who resides in Dubai now Warren is currently the owner of buscuit stay soft VR6 uh with the R32 motor and this lovely E36 M3 so I normally Bild a car for Warren every year unfortunately from the time that we moved into this premises I never had an opportunity to build a car for him because we were too busy so uh waren actually purchased two cars in kzn and phon me up and said chip I bought a VR6 I bought an M3 I'm sending it through to you to restore got the cars through went through the E36 M3 out of the two cars the E36 M3 had the least amount of work as compared to the VR6 so we decided to start with the E36 M3 so I want to take you guys through a little bit of the history of the E36 M3 why it's such a special car so stay [Music] tuned the E36 M3 four-door is part of the BMW E36 generation of the BMW M3 which was produced between 1992 up until 1999 the E36 M3 in general represented the second generation of BMW's high performance M3 lineup succeeding the E30 M3 now the four-door variant of the E36 M3 was introduced to cater to customers who desired the performance of the M3 but also needed the practicality of a sedan so you can technically say this is a family car that packs a [Music] [Applause] buch the E36 m34 door was introduced alongside its coue counterpart in 1994 it featured a more spacious interior and greater practicality compared to the coupe making it appealing to a broader range of buyers so once again if you were going through your midlife crisis and you figured you needed to please the wife and your inner child the E36 M3 Ford door was the car for you now engine wise the E36 M3 foro was powered by a 3.2 L inline 6 cylinder engine most of the European markets came with this counterpart engine as well as the North American Market these engines were renowned for their smooth power delivery and high reving capabilities producing around 240 to 321 Hors power depending on the market and model year now in terms of performance this car had a powerful engine and a well-tuned chassis the E36 M3 fordo offered extremely impressive performance for its time it was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 M hour in a 6 seconds which is not bad for a family car with a top speed of an electronically limited 255 M hour in the European countries and 250 km per hour in South Africa now design wise visually the E36 M3 fordo shared many design cues with its CPE counterpart including aggressive bodyw work aerodynamic enhancements and M specific styling elements such as unique bumpers side skirts and rear spoiler however the sedan body style provided greater practicality and rear seed accessibility now we all know an M3 in general has a legacy and the E36 M3 fordo is often regarded as one of the most balanced and versatile iterations of the M3 lineup its combination of performance comfort and practicality made it popular among enthusiasts and everyday drivers alike despite being overshadowed by later M3 models the E36 M3 foro still holds a special place in BMW's M3 Legacy overall I would say the E36 M3 foro represents a significant chapter in the history of BMW's high performance M division offering a compelling blend of performance and practicality in a stylish sedan package guys the E36 M3 foro is definitely a car that will continue to be in BMW's M history books for the generations to come this is personally my favorite E36 M3 color this is known as Deca yellow or in street terms we used to call the car canary yellow because it is the color of a canary but the right terminology on the E36 M3 uh four-door is Dea yellow 2 so instead of doing a complete strip down respray which was not necessary we did a blowover like I mentioned to you guys before a blowover is where you do a minor repair on the car fix up the DSE and there's minimal stripping and then you flat the car down and then you primer and then you paint so this car received a blow over from us one thing as well that I suggested that Warren does on the car I want you guys to come through and have a look so initially the wheels with the normal alloy color I always love a canary yellow or a Deca yellow E36 M3 with the high polished wheels so we basically send the wheels in to polish the faces and polish the LPS just to give it a bit more of shine this is a small modification that I love doing on E36 M3s I've got it on my E36 M3 as well I'll show you guys in a bit but this is definitely something that I would recommend doing on a E36 M3 wheel because for me personally it picks up the look of the wheel and it gives the wheel a little bit of show I want to take you guys through to some of the parts that we replaced as well so stuff luckily for us the parts are available from BMW so we managed to replace the winds screen beadings we replaced a few of the door pieces I want to take you guys through to the inside of the car and we were Ted to do the interior on the car however there wasn't much that needed to be done so we left the door panels in original cuz they're in very good condition we did the center armrest we did the seats and one thing I want you guys to take note of there's a difference on the E36 M3 to Door interior versus the four-door interior so on the twoo interior the car came opt or not optional the car came with the wood grain gear knob the wood grain panels on the center console and it came with the wood grain panel on the dashboard I really love it I like the fact that it's a small Touch of old school on a much more modern car which makes it looks hell of a nice so again interior was Reed in Black uh genuine leather with the signature uh BMW Stripes that's realistically all that was needed to be done on the interior of the star which I think makes it looks much nicer I want to take you guys through to the back to go and show you some of the other stuff we did the nice thing is you'll see we changed the tail lights as well BMW has the tail lights available and the car didn't have a tool kit so we ordered a tool kit from BMW brand new tool kit which I think every E36 or every old school BMW must have uh we also replaced a few of the rubbers and beadings on the car whatever was available and then the unexpected part of this car was we w t to do mechanical work we ran through the electrical found the car had a little bit of electrical glitches so we attended to that and then the day Warren came to actually drive his car because when the car came I never drove it I took it around the block and that's what was it when we actually got to driving the car we found that the GU is overheating so naturally what we try to do is try to do uh follow the process of elimination so whenever you have an overheating problem on the car the first thing you need to do is check your coolant system so we work our way from the water pump so we found that the water pump was faulty we found that the vus and the fan blade wasn't spinning correctly that's a common problem then the car was still overheating we then send the radiator to be reconed because the radiator was badly blocked car was still overheating upon further diagnosis we removed the thermostat uh housing and found that the car had no thermostat OB in the car that is a Telltale sign that this car had previous overheating problems and that is why they removed the thermostat purely to allow the water to flow more continuously uh you know so that is a a Telltale sign of this car having an overheating problem prior right now the car is still having an overheating problem when we did the compression test we found that uh there was low compression on few of the cylinders now we got to up the head send the head to an engineer and then have the engineer look at to as to why the uh uh car is overheating could it be a cylinder head problem or is it something bigger so that's the next phase of this car ultimately super happy with the way the car came out I love the color I love the paint job I love the wheels and uh I'm looking forward to doing more BS for Warren Warren thank you so much for your patience understanding bling is always here bling pars here and everyone thinks I own bling but I don't own bling so why do you reside in Dubai and why do you collect cars in South Africa this is a tough one it is and and I I don't think I ever asked you this before yeah I think it come down to the culture South African you can't beat the South African Cass even when you go overseas it's nothing compares so the main reason is having it here and with with your shop and your expertise you can't compare now no l even Dubai they have nothing on you I promise you and and we were just talking I think we need to we really need to open a Cho Dubai Dubai soon so if you're watching from Dubai I promise you that is part of my plan myself and Warren chats about it often so yeah I'm going to go visit I chat to a few is 3 days old okay and then I've got an MK3 uh 16 Vol yes original from UK nice interior that runs bag as well also original fully fully original shelf truck a huge monster nice 6.3 L monster yeah it's quite quite a big one and then the mk8 GTI nice they got a good collection and then the special one is the bike yeah to keep up with the lumo that's that's the nice and and do you guys have like car meets in Dubai look there is but it's more of uh everyone in the smaller groups just separate okay but here it's a again it's the culture Mar yeah you you can't beat it once you drive in or even when you come to the airport everyone is already in the zone nice so you're applying the same in the cast yeah yeah and you can't compare no lacer bro laer it's nothing nothing like like like home nothing home is home bro no matter where you go home is home you can smell the Bri as soon as you it's a good one for sure any future cars you want to add to your collection besides and eat the tea scene so tudo with small tail lights is the one you want to have not saying the other two doors are not nice but two door with small lights is the one you want to have so yeah I know it's been an
