I actually watched the whole thing. I don't want to take jabs at the audience, because they were for the most part pretty respectful. I just wanted to say that this man is really good at explaining complex ideas into words that I can understand. If you haven't watched the whole thing, it's well worth it.

I enjoyed the lady explaining how CO2 heating is logarithmic, so a 30% increase isn't a big deal... meanwhile she says the pH of the ocean has only fallen from 8.2 to 8.1. pH is also logarithmic. That's about a 10% increase in acidity, which in a large buffer like the ocean, that's a lot. I'm worried that these people are the type of people that see small changes and say "meh" but don't take into consideration that at the end of the year, the Earth doesn't just reset... it's cumulative.

Edit: I'm being told my guess of a 10% difference without doing the math is absolutely wrong and that I'm spreading misinformation. The difference between 8.2 and 8.1 is actually 26%ish. If this happened to have caused you to run out, find this woman, throw the 10% figure in her face and she threw a calculator with 26% in your face and said "HA!" I apologize for the inconvenience.

"I believe nature has ways of balancing itself"

Yeah, so do I. That balance will come in the form of higher global temperatures, extreme weather, droughts, and mass extinctions.

They should put together a panel of people off the street vs a surgeon on why modern surgical techniques are wrong.

Man being asked questions by (seemingly) intelligent people. Provides them with fact/evidence based, statistical and easy to understand answers. People still not convinced. Infuriating. Especially the man inquiring about the 3% C02 attributed to humans claiming his question was not answered when his question couldn't have possibly been answered more clearly and thoroughly.

If you actually watched the full video you'll find that the skeptics are open to new ideas and act respectfully (for the most part).

There is merit in this video given that radical views often emerge from radical sources, namely the media. People without all the facts act just as if not more adamately as those with a broader grasp of the matter at hand.

If you shut out either side you do yourself a disservice. Come to your own conclusions yes, but base it off of adequate sources.

IMO, This climate scientist does a good job of providing perspective to a room full of people who admittedly range from on the fence to firm disbelief.

When not filtered by media, this scientist does a fair job of stating the facts behind his belief and adds context to the divisive nature of this topic.
