OHANA | Disney's Polynesian Village Resort | Food and Restaurant Review with @NerdsOnTheGo

[Music] [Music] w [Music] a hey everybody and welcome today we are here at Disney's Polynesian Resort we're getting ready to take you guys along with us to Ohana Ohana so we are dressed and ready for Ohana Gentry has the Jurassic Park Hawaiian shirt Henry has the Mickey Hawaiian shirt on a surfboard Jennifer's got the floral flowers and I went to a Dutch Brothers Coffee Grand Opening and got this for free and I thought when am might ever going to wear this and Jennifer said hey when we go to Ohana you've got to wear it so to book a reservation here at Ohana you have to book 60 days in advance and you can actually book a few days earlier if you stay up any of the Disney properties for example if you have a 4-day stay at any of the Disney properties you can book as early as 64 days out but for everyone else including ourselves where we are not staying on Disney property 60 days prior to the day that you intend to dine at Ohana you can make reservations and we highly recommend that as Ohana is one of the most sought-after dining reservations on Disney property 60 days ago we made a reservations for this very day and I will tell you it's like getting concert tickets I kept hitting Refresh on my browser at 5:30 in the morning and only two reservations popped up one at 3:35 and one at 9:30 so we are here getting ready to dine at 3:35 all right guys so this is family style all you can care to eat here at Ohana and right over here we have some mixed green salad right here is the signature Ohana bread which is pineapple and coconut and over here is honey butter and it does include the salad includes a citrus vinegarette right here is what is called POG juice they are famous for this POG juice it is pomegranate orange and guava is that correct I think so and so we're going to try this and let you know what we think Jennifer's trying out the POG juice there what do you think it's really good it's tropical and refreshing and right back here I have to point out is a view of Magic Kingdom's Castle Magic Kingdom the POG juice is really good guys I was worried that it would be too overpowering with a guava or maybe too overpowering with a pineapple or maybe the orange but it seems to be like 33% of just about each it's evenly distributed and you can kind of taste all three flavors intermixing together it's some good stuff guys we're very excited to be joined at suburb tonight by Jeremy and Stephanie nerds on the go and look at this shirt right mine s alike it's the best looking shirt ever the real question is did Brent or did I get it first that is the question [Music] yeah all right here is our second course which includes a little bit of broccoli right here are some pork dumplings toss and garlic chili sauce over here we have honey coriander Wings here are the Ohana noodles that we have really been excited to try and our waiter said this is one of his favorite things here it is grilled chicken with a Polynesian inspired chimmy churi sauce all right Ginger you've been digging into your food what's your favorite thing so far so I got to say it's probably the noodles but I'm about to try one of the waiters favorites some that grilled chicken with a chimmy churry sauce this already looks good to me so it's probably good just cook to Perfection cook to Perfection Jennifer what's your favorite so far um I've just tried the bread and the broccoli and the noodles and all fantastic so far Henry what do you think buddy it's good guys at this point I don't really understand what's going on they just keep bringing more and more food as soon as they go back into the kitchen it's like they come back with two more Skillets so right here we have Teriyaki tenderloin and back here we have shrimp look at all of this food that they brought out so far we haven't even made it to dessert yet we haven't even eaten our first plate yet all right Stephanie what is your favorite so far uh so far it's going to be the noodles noodles and Jeremy it's hard to choose CU literally my tell you everything is amazing here it's literally amazing some restaurants say this is kind of good or that's kind of good but literally everything has been to notch amazing so far I think that chimm cherry chickens are my favorites the noodles are so good it's hard to get good like noodles like that I'm going say the noodles so far I'm go for the noodles so check this out guys they brought out the hot towels after eating all this food you're going to get your hands a little messy so really awesome Henry thought they were actually bringing out hot dogs he misheard them when they said hot towels and he's like hot hot dogs so with the mixed vegetables they have water chestnuts which are really delicious and when it comes to the noodles it's a very sweet sticky noodle but so so good just went in for some more of the chicken chimmy chury and I'm going to crack this open and let you know what it looks like here so this is a smoked chicken and the smoked flavor is infused in that meat and it is so good the chimmy Cherry sauce is just wonderful I think this is my favorite thing the chicken chimmy Chuy which I thought honestly would not be in probably the top running for the top 3 to five but it's my absolute favorite thing closely followed behind the Alana noodles really good this salad is so great there's some sweet peppers that are in here the sauce is really Tangy a little bit sour but also sweet at the same time it's really delicious true that you [Music] and what do you have there Brit I've got a pot sticker take a look at that this is probably my third favorite thing it's delicious on the inside you got like the chicken going on right here but it's nice and crispy on the outside so flavorful too look at all those herbs on the outside the honey the honey is what really tops it off all right Gentry you said that you're full and what did you just say I'm going to throw in the shower one thing I also want to point out here is the POG juice is unlimited refills a lot of restaurants you go to juice is not unlimited refal by any stretch of the imagination but it is here at Ohana so look at this guys you get to go boxes at the end and we have tested to see how much capacity and volume are within each of these look at all of those great noodles so we'll have a nice second meal tomorrow from one of our new favorite places in Disney Ohana for dessert we have the bread pudding alamode with caramel sauce top with [Music] pineapple all right final bill for two adults and two kids came out to $194 before tax and before tip I feel like this statue is a representation of how I feel right now nice and full and stuffed that was Ohana Jeremy what you think about Ohana oh fantastic that chimmy Cherry chicken was my favorite of all time the noodles were so good uh save room for dessert that's Stephanie's ly she's about to say I just took it from her uh but save room for dessert it's fantastic service is great everything it's well worth the money you pay a little bit more for it even here it's a little expensive but get to go boxes and I guarantee it's worth the money it's it's it's fantastic and Stephanie uh he said it all it's absolutely delicious worth every penny and save PVE room for that dessert most definitely and Henry what you think Buddy what was your favorite um my favorite one was not macaroni not macaroni they didn't have macaroni here no because I really liked it but inste you love those pot stickers didn't you yeah I didn't like those weed thingies but did you enjoy the meal overall yeah all right and gentry I got to say this place is definitely a good place to go if you're in the area and if you really really really hungry you'll definitely get stuffed really quickly and it's just a great place absolutely and Jennifer definitely bring your appetite everything is so good and flavorful has its own flavor so you'll find your your favorite very quickly U my personal favorite was the chimmy Cherry chicken good smoke flavor chimy Cherry sauce is perfect and also the pot sers and I also have to mention the pot juice that was really really good it was refreshing not too sweet just perfect all right kind of Piggyback in off of what everybody has said this was just excellent an amazing experience we've been to a lot of different Disney dining experiences through the years and by far this is our favorite we knew this was going to be good prior to coming here but I will tell you it far exceeded my expectations and I think that everybody else kind of concurs with that it was phenomenal highly recommend coming here get your reservations early and guys we thank you so much for joining us here at Ohana at Disney Polynesian Resort and we sure do look forward to seeing you on $24.99 and for the ladies they have some Hawaiian get up this is $188 for this dress here or for this dress right over here this is currently running for $148 and Jennifer found something over here what' you find Jennifer this one is $158 it's really pretty oh and we found here at the Kona Island coffee bar on side they have Mickey celebration cupcakes for $5.99 specialty cupcakes for $5.99 over here dark chocolate bacon for 4 bucks and chocolate covered strawberries are running for 425 these Mickey Dome cakes are $39 a piece and they have Mickey ears on top Gentry found an old Fantasia hat here $34.99 oh and Henry got one too over here they have different types of Mickey ears that are all running for $35 a piece right here is a Disney Castle play set which also includes five Disney figurines Goofy Minnie Mickey Donald and Daisy the Landscaping is really cool here at the Polynesian Resort Jennifer just noticed like some sort of a fruit or a nut that's on this plant looks really cool there goes the boat which transfers you here from the Polynesian Resort over to the Magic Kingdom you can see a monal way back there in the back and if you look really close you can see the castle from Magic Kingdom right there is the top top of the castle from Magic Kingdom give you another perspective right over here is Disney's contemporary resort all right take a look at this guys we are back at the condo we're staying at and we're getting ready to heat up the leftovers chimmy Trey chicken we've got the uh tie wings and we've have pot stickers lots of noodles we're going to eat up here our bread and then a whole entire carton filled with shrimp these are our leftovers that we were allowed to take with us and included in the price of your meal
