Oglebay Festival Of Lights 2023 - Wheeling, WV

[Music] yes Santa I know I've been bad but I need your help it's that Beaver again he's back in my house and he got a buddy from Australia and I got all my Christmas tree cakes let me call you back this won't stand those are mine so why don't you take your little body and eggnog on out of here [Music] jeez hi everyone and welcome to Ogle Bay the Festival of Lights 2023 here at the beautiful historic Ogle Bay Park in Wheeling West Virginia I'm here at the entranceway to the park where you drive through that Archway Behind Me and You Begin your journey through this course of all the beautiful lights and displays that they have throughout here and they even have gift shops that you can enjoy chocolate if you like that and they have a good zoo where you can see animals and kids can have a great time a fantastic place for the entire family located just an hour Southwest of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania anyway if you've been around this channel you know what we do from here on out but if you're new welcome and come along with me as we go for a drive through this beautiful Historic Park and enjoy the Christmas lights here on opening night in 2023 immediately getting into town welcome to Wheeling city of Lights Shalom love that that's always there every year here we go Ogle Bays Festival of Lights 2023 oh wow the big tree got a bridge the barge look at this West banko had to get that sponsor in there but here's what we came to see the beautiful Ogle Bay Park who cares nobody cares about Christmas anymore and there's that beautiful Archway to welcome you into the park now s don't you pay him any nobody cares however you are Christmas oh by the way merry Christmas wishing you all theace and Beauty this Christmas seon brings Festival of Lights milon Americans have lied health literacy skills [Applause] [Music] [Music] wow [Music] there's the bear with the balloons that we see every year Hi friend it's been a while got people skiing up on the hillside over here oh what a wonderful sight again and one of my favorite displays when I come here is simple as it is is the Cardinal feeding its babies we're actually going to turn down here so you can see the dragon got little trees right here as well and then right up ahead here is the good zooo love that the good zoo is great and getting better all the time look at all the animals that they have up here and over here we have a present with kitties in [Laughter] it awesome is that the gringe that's the gringe yes it is it's absolutely the gringe what do we have up here we have Santa up there we're going to have to try and find a place to park here there's Santa and his elves located in a different place that I remember but check this out they have this all set up really nice and neat over here there's the Grinch right here as a matter of fact then here we have a bunch of Christmas trees an awesome one in the middle there and this little walkway can walk around this they have a big swan back there the tree is cool love what they do with the trees every year I have a train set oh look at this yeah you can walk right through this that's awesome there's the train set here fun for the kids it appears that they even have a shuttle they'll take you for a ride around the park to enjoy the lights so you don't have to drive and try to enjoy them like I do that's pretty awesome now we make our way up the hill here where we get to see the awesome Carnival display she's so awesome look at that that is cool wow very cool the lake is popping [Music] today look at the pond the lights go to the music that's playing that is cool love that that is really cool I just love the lights that they put up here is that the windmill it's not lit up completely over here it's a looks like a gecko on a candy cane dancing little bear up here is where we go to pay if you want to donate and you get a pass you can visit as many times as you like oh we even have a real deer over there behind those lights I think got some antlers on too look at that there's the peanuts it's awesome then we even have a dragon over here a dragon love the flowers with the butterflies dancing around it well fluttering around it and then up here look at all of the dinosaurs I always have loved this display every season it's spectacular got a lot of people stopping to take pictures here are the dinosaurs we have real deer just hanging out enjoying their night they don't even care that I'm here they're probably so used to people by now love the cascading icicle lights love those and we have a lot of Christmas trees oh no everybody's stuck in a snowball that's awesome lots of Christmas trees wow there's a lot of cars up there at the resort there's where you can make a donation and you can donate any amount you want it's not required to donate $30 but that does get you the coupon book if you plan to come back to Ogle Bay throughout the year and save you money on fun active things even a night stay activities that they have going on here at the park look at I'm having a snowball fight there's the pond and if you look over up on the hillside you'll see where it says Ogle Bay that is awesome that's a little blurry to see it is awfully dark out here at night there's a happy snowman family then up here we have a bunch of Christmas trees and really bright headlights and I know mine are on toooo they're bright see now when I'm behind people I turn my head light off I just go down to my parking lights this way the people in the car in front of me can enjoy the lights that's what you're supposed to do but not everybody does that whether they don't know to do it or they just don't think about it it's the right thing to do so people can enjoy the lights and not have mirrors full of light and all the light glare off of the glass now if you have trouble seeing obviously be safe and leave your lights on but the right thing to do is turn them down to the parking lot to the parking lights like that then we'll just move the W here see now I have nobody in front of me so I can turn my lights on love those icicle lights drummer Boys The Nutcrackers see now I'm a daredevil I'll turn the headlights off for [Music] this another dinosaur candy canes down there on the hill look at that that's really cool that's new love those they got more over here more Christmas trees okay now let's continue on to the other part of the par drive along West Virginia Route 88 and it'll take you to the other lights a few Christmas trees sleigh more Christmas trees owl I love the owl there's Kate I watch water people playing tennis all the lights Road l lights cutting down a tree there's a truck with the tree in it strong [Applause] [Music] marriage wow Shalom 10,000 years will give you such aick in the neck it's hard to make out 10,000 years will give you such a the it's hard to make out here's Charlie Brown going to kick the football and we know what happens moving along there's the Grinch again love the Bells leonetta wow there you go now the colors really stand out they grew sunflower Thanksgiving turkeyy like no not me happy birthday was Frosty happy [Music] birthday wow another Christmas tree what we have a lot of lights coming up the American flag with the waves under it wow Zach I love that that is cool really love that one there's uh drummer boys nutcrackers and there's Snoopy telling you which way to go you want to go this way this way you can see Santa Claus directly ahead it's bumpy in this parking lot a little bit but that's okay there's kids playing with a rocking horse we got deer playing around on the hillside I've always loved the train a Jack In The Box there he is hi buddy little baby peep and up here the poneta it's one of the gift shops up here welcome to hooville there's people in there shopping too they're still open for the night got a lot of golf carts here we are bunch of Christmas trees look at all the lights on all the trees everywhere you look it's so beautiful [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] e enjoy more lights here we go by the gift shop in the carriage house we'll see the big tree in just a moment but I wanted to Walk This Way first and show you the flower lights that I really like Santa photos at the good zooo oh that's wonderful it's always such a nice sight out here and for the first night it's pretty busy now in previous years I've shown the carriage house and the gift shop today I want to focus on just the lights outside it is getting late and the places will be closing here shortly but I do appreciate all the hard work that they put into this decorating up the light post the little flowers the the trees everything that they do here it's really really nice boy is this beautiful the lights on that tree go to the music hopefully we don't get a copyright claim because of it I want you to be able to enjoy it and listen to it but we might get a copyright claim because of said music but look how beautiful that is [Music] though that is really really [Music] awesome take a walk along [Music] here I love the lights that they have the little tree and the flowers and the pots around it turn the brightness down a little bit so you can actually enjoy it do you go to any Christmas light displays are you familiar with Ogle Bay here have you ever been here or do you live too far away but go to a light show that you enjoy feel free to let me know comments I'd love to hear about it now we are up here at the Ogle Bay Foundation the Burton Center lots of Lights here and there's another Christmas tree down that way and obviously we're going to go see that as well so happy you guys could be here and watch this even if you can't be here in person really happy that you're here today look at that little tree little thing I like it last but not least on this tour look at that with all of the flags there for Veterans Day this weekend stunning okay everyone I really hope you enjoyed the 2023 Ogle Bay Festival lights video I absolutely love coming to this park and I'll be back here many times this season with my pass I can drive through here as many times as I like and support the businesses here as well this is a wonderful place I thought I would end it here in front of the dinosaur display it's just so well done no dinosaur sounds this year though which is kind of disappointing but it is the first night so maybe they're still working the bugs out anyway if you live nearby feel free to stop by this place it's a wonderful place and it's great for the whole family and there's always something to do for everyone and in nearby Wheeling there's a few restaurants you can sit down and eat before you come up here there's even a hotel you can stay at too if you're driving from far away to get here but a wonderful little place I love bringing you guys here every single season and I'm glad to have done it again for 2023 and I'm just hoping that Kate can join me this season and if not
