if you've enjoyed the old-school strategy and RPG games of the 90s and the thousands as I did then you're gonna love vikings war of clans the latest update has done wonders for the game and placed it in the top 5 of the charts Vikings is not only about clan battles nation versus nation combat makes this game truly outstanding the uniqueness of Vikings comes from its freedom of choice you can be a clan leader and reign your Empire or you can have the killer instinct and annihilate your enemies or use your skills to build a prosperous city interesting fact Vikings war of clans recently reached 20 million players that's over ten times more from the total population of actual Vikings and in celebration of this achievement Vikings war of clans is sponsoring a prop giveaway from Odin makes you can win a prop that was made by me on this channel just download Vikings from the link below and get your palace to level five then comment on my Odin makes Facebook post using the link in the description below on March 14th I will announce a winner and they'll get to choose from one of these props I want to say thank you to Vikings Wharram clans for making this possible and he can support my channel by installing the game using the link in the description hello I'm Odin and this time I'm gonna have my head cast which is really cool because that means I'm pretty much just gonna sit there I've wanted to get a new head cast of myself for a while now and I contacted Ellen cards of go to effects to make one for me he brought along Jennifer young of Moon Magic creations to assist him there are both professional makeup and monster makers and since I have a small chance of suffocating during the process getting someone who knows what they're doing seemed like a really good idea that brought in a full cart of materials and supplies to do the cast and started to prepare everything a trash bag has wrapped around me to keep plaster silicon off of everything that's not getting cast and to protect my hair a bald cap is applied but not any bald cap this is a vinyl fault cap not a rubber one latex rubber can't be used at all as silicon reacts to the latex and will not setup vital caps take more skill to apply as they easily tear they glued on with pros-aide and use acetone to melt the vinyl that's over my ears which will allow them to come out of the ball cap now melting the vinyl is much safer than cutting it as the vinyl can just split open from any tiny corner leftover from a cut jennifer puts cotton into my ears which will keep the silicone out because i don't really need a full cast of my whole ear canal now instead of using alternate alan is going to use the silicon for the mold and he's using a smooth on product called body double silk it's a silicon made for use on the skin and it's made with a hyper falak release additive which will not stick to my skin or any really short hair and it's an easy one to one mix ratio equal parts the yellow half and equal parts of the bluish half when it's a solid green color you're good to go the silicon has a much longer working time than alginate even with cold water you get just a couple of minutes to work with the alginate and alginate will not stick to itself when it's set up you have to do the whole head one batch Alan can mix up smaller amounts of silicon and work on smaller areas as the silicon will stick to itself and he has about ten minutes to use each batch they start with a back of my head and since my ears have cotton in them and are now covered the silicon is getting hard to hear [Music] Nietzsche said here she's gonna to correct your face with it yeah Alan adds layers of fabric to the back of my head because when everything is done he will cut the silicone where the fabric is this will help prevent extra tearing of the silicon as the vault gets used Alan likes to use popcorn cups for mixing because they're not waxed line and the really cheap also he can pour silicon into them up to the first Oh in the word popcorn and he knows he has equal parts of each half of the silicon for mixing they continue to mix silicon uncover my neck and face even with my eyes closed and covered I can still see a little bit of light now once they've covered my mouth I can only communicate back with thumbs up or thumbs down we also use the thumbs sideways option if something is wrong but it's not so bad that we have to tear everything off and abort the casting Jennifer made sure that my nostrils were clear for the entire process and she did a great job I never noticed anything that made it hard to breathe it was also really nice not to have straws in my nose typically straws are used to keep the nostrils clear when you're using alginate because of the speed which you have to work I needed to sit up completely straight and hold my head straight for the entire casting now I've noticed that normally I'll hold my head a little tilted when I'm relaxed both out and Jennifer continued to try to keep me adjusted straight thank you guys I finally have somebody to help me keep my head on straight but I just kept relaxing just a little and in the end my head is tilted just a little but it's my own damn fault after the silicone has set they start using foster bandages to build up a hard shell that will keep the slow town in the right shape after it's off of my head without some sort of hard shell the mold will not keep the correct shape and it'll be really distorted all this stuff built up on my head gets heavy but it's still fun for me I'm excited to have a head cast and I'm not claustrophobic so I don't panic actually the hardest part now that I'm almost two hours into it was to not fall asleep after the plaster is fully set Allen makes March to show how the halves will line up and they can peel off the shell he cuts the silicon where the fabric is in a zig-zag pattern which will be easier to line up for casting they worked my ears out and the silicon slips off my head before they leave they'll mix up a small amount of silicon and fill in the nostril holes it's been a few days and the plaster bandage shell has fully cured and now I can make a hydrocal positive of my head it's cool following Alan's instructions I first wrap the plaster shell with Gorilla Tape to hold it shut which will keep the silicon in the correct shape inside Alan stressed the use of Gorilla Tape as it seems to be the only tape that sticks this well to plaster and I need it to stay put as I need to pick up the mold and move it around while I'm making a plaster head I take a couple of clothes pins and use them to hold the silicon seam in place now should use many more than just these two but it was the one thing that I forgot to get more of I set the mold on its side I mix up and pour in a small amount of hydrocal plaster to fill in just one ear and when this side sets up I'll flip them all over and do the other ear I make another batch of hydrocal and pour it into the mold and swish it around to coat the inside of the head this is a process that can be called roto casting or rotary casting the idea is to keep the mold moving around so a small amount of material coats all the sides of your mold and you get an even layer of material and a hollow casting doing it by hand is not easy but it's worth it as the amount of plaster to just fill the head mode full would weigh well over 80 pounds after a couple of layers of plaster I make a little thicker batch and start smearing it all over the inside with all the water weight this mold is already getting heavy I cut up some burlap into small pieces and soak them in plaster to make a full layer of bird a plaster inside the head this burlap will help add strength to the plaster head and is ideal for hollow casting then I add a second layer of burlap and smear a little more hydrocal to make sure there are no air gaps between the layers in wet burlap coat this table after about two hours I trust that the hydrocal is set up enough to open the mold removing the back is easy working off the front was a little trickier then I carefully work out the ears and then I can remove the silicon mold from the plaster head there we go so a reasonable thing to ask is why would I need a head cast why would I need to actually go through all the bother in trouble of hiring somebody to actually make an actual accurate cast of my head well the main reason is I've got a giant noggin I mean compared to the wait forms you can buy it's I'm consuming so this is really cool I'm really happy to have a cast of my head to be able to work with I'll actually be able to make helmets that fit masks that fit I can do a lot of different things also it's just another one of me hanging around the shop now and I am super happy to have actually hire professionals to come down and do this for me Thank You Ellen Carnes and Thank You Jennifer Young for spending the day with me and casting up my head I really appreciate it at this point the video usually like to say and that's how out and make but I didn't make this actually I mean I grew this one but this is how Alan makes I want to thank all of my patreon subscribers and if you like this video you can buy me a coffee and if you like what I do you can support my channel on my patreon page if you have ideas for something for me to make please leave a comment below and if you make any of these projects you can send me a picture get in there that's a that's a hell of a not yeah that's just not moving at all
