I think the post's title wasn't worded very well (BMTH's releases should have zero weight on A7X's progress), but it is annoying to know the band reads this sub and, instead of just saying they don't want to be transparent about new material, they choose to be as evasive as possible by throwing old merch and concert footage at us.
Also don't get me started at Internet lawyers like the one we got in this very thread, who think we have no right to express any opinion that amounts to "it's been a while since the last update on new music, I wish this wasn't the case"...

Avenged takes time and puts thought and effort into their music.
Agree itβs a joke really. Last hope is a new song with call of duty ,they should tell us now if we arenβt getting an album this year. π
I have been subbed here for like 2 weeks, and wow some A7x are or really young or really desperate... chill , when we got new music we will, in the meantime hear other albums, A7x is not like Tool , you just have to be patience, I bet the wait will be worth it
Trivium, Avatar, Unleash the Archers, The Black Dahlia Murder, Orbit Culture, Paradise Lost, and so many other bands have all released albums during the pandemic as well. If they can do it, so can Avenged Sevenfold.

Its up to them to make and release new music. Theyre one of my favorite bands but I've completely lost interest in everything they post and am sick of waiting for new music that isn't coming. There's so many other bands I like releasing new music and providing timeframes on new albums that its not even worth discussing/arguing A7X8 anymore; when the day in 2021 or 2022 comes and the new single is out itll be awesome, but since its been 4 years since the last album I cant be the only one thats pretty much lost interest.
